Mooncakes are special Chinese cakes. They show family love and good wishes. They can be round or square. They are an important part of the Mid-Autumn Festival. At this festival, families get together and enjoy the full moon. Many families also eat delicious food and talk happily at home.
Mooncakes have special meaning about family getting together and thanks. Long ago, people put secret messages inside mooncakes to send news. Now, we give mooncakes to family and close friends as nice gifts. We wish them good luck and happy days. Mooncakes are round, just like the full moon. They mean peace.
People in different places of China like different mooncake tastes. In southern China, many people love mooncakes with egg inside. People in the north like sweet mooncakes with red bean paste.
Today, there are new tastes, such as chocolate and ice cream mooncakes. Young people like these new tastes, and they still love the old culture. The outside part of mooncakes is also different. Some mooncakes have thin and soft outside parts. Some have hard crisp (酥脆的) parts. Snow skin mooncakes are made from rice flour (米粉), and they taste cool. During the talk therapy by Ohana, first, she will have some warm-up greetings like “Hello, everyone! Today, we will make something delicious together and have some friendly talks.” Then, she will hold some cooking activities with guided talk. While people are making their meals, Ohana will ask gentle questions to encourage the talk. Finally, everyone can show and enjoy meals with each other. “The kitchen makes people realize chances for changes.” said Ohana.
Talk therapy is useful because it is like talking to a special friend. This friend is good at listening. You can share your feelings, thoughts and problems with this friend. Then, he or she can give you advice to help you feel happier and more confident.

On March 27th, 2025, China brought out new food safety rules. One big change is that words like “no added” or “zero added” will not appear on food labels (标签). Factories used these words to sell their products, but they could cheat buyers. For example, a “no added sugar” juice might still have a lot of natural fruit sugars. The new rules want to make labels easier to understand and more honest. What’s more, common ingredients (配料) that some people may not accept, such as eggs, or milk, must be clear on labels.
Another important change is the use of digital labels. By just scanning (扫描) the QR code on the packets, buyers can get a lot of information. They can find out where the ingredients come from and how to store the food. Food expiration (过期) dates will be simpler too. Instead of finding out how long a product can last from the production date, labels will now show the “use by” date clearly. To stop food waste, some products may also have a “best before” date.
Factories have two years to change their packets and use up the old products. These rules not only protect buyers but also make producers really improve the quality. Without doubt, they show China’s open attitude (态度) to food production and care about public health.
21.Which of the following can NOT appear on food labels?
A.QR codes about ingredients. B.Words like “no added” or “zero added”.
C.Clear expiration dates labeled as “use by”. D.Ingredients that may not be acceptable.

A.The real price of the product. B.The factory’s address and phone number.
C.The way of storing the food. D.The health value of the product.

A.The new food safety rules. B.The digital labels with QR codes.
C.The companies selling products. D.The food expiration dates.
24.What can we know about food factories in the future?
A.They must reduce the use of natural fruit sugars.
B.They can’t cheat buyers with labels any more.
C.They will no longer use any kind of sugar.
D.They have 2 years to sell out their old products.

Steamed Fish, a classic Chinese traditional dish, has been cherished for centuries for its fresh flavor and healthy cooking style. It’s not only a staple at family meals but also a symbol of prosperity in Chinese culture.
The origin of Steamed Fish dates back to ancient times, when people living along rivers and coasts created simple ways to cook fresh fish. The original recipe used only a few key ingredients: fresh fish, ginger, scallions, soy sauce, and a spoon of oil. To make it, they first cleaned the fish and cut it into thin slices (or kept it whole for smaller fish). They placed the fish in a bowl, added sliced ginger and scallions, and then poured a little soy sauce over it. ▲ After steaming for about 15 minutes, the dish was ready—tender, juicy, and full of natural freshness. Over time, people added more details, like sprinkling pepper or using special broths(肉汤), but the main cooking method remained unchanged.
Today, Steamed Fish is still a favorite in Chinese households and restaurants. Its instructions are simple: prepare fresh ingredients, arrange them in a bowl, steam until the fish is cooked through, and finish with hot oil to bring out the aroma. Whenever families gather for festivals or important meals, Steamed Fish is often on the table. It’s not just food; it’s a memory of home and a way to pass down traditional flavors from generation to generation.

Julie Ohana, a social worker, mixes her love for cooking with talk therapy (谈话疗法). She believes that the kitchen can start a change in people’s lives.

A.The new food safety rules. B.The digital labels with QR codes.

A.They must reduce the use of natural fruit sugars.
B.They can’t cheat buyers with labels any more.
C.They will no longer use any kind of sugar.

25.What is the best title for the passage?
