(4)固定搭配密度高:work on、pay attention to、couldn’t help but、be short of、come to life、take part in,掌握搭配等于提前拿到一半答案。
(4)介词、连词与代词(约 14 题):如 on、as、for、from、of、by、about、because、since、but、its、one、myself,靠固定搭配与句子结构判定。
【点拨1】短语动词中的介词题——以 Passage 1 题 1 为例:原文写道“many talented young people work o 1 advanced computing technology”。 故填 on。空后是 advanced computing technology,属“研究内容”,不能用 work at 或 work for 替换。
【点拨2】比较级修饰题——以 Passage 2 题 1 为例:原文写道“Della and Jim have something much m 1 important than money”。 故填 more。
【点拨3】名词单复数题——以 Passage 3 题 2 为例:原文写道“The c 2 has a 14-year-old son named Zachary”。
【点拨4】原因状语从句连词题——以 Passage 4 题 2 为例:原文写道“I really wanted a bike b 2 I wanted to ride with my friends on weekends”。 故填 because。注意 because 与 so 不能连用,本句后面没有再出现 so,用 because 正好。
【点拨5】介词后的动名词题——以 Passage 5 题 5 为例:原文写道“It’s much more interesting than just r 5 textbooks”。
【点拨6】主谓一致与地点动词题——以 Passage 6 题 2 为例:原文写道“The complex l 2 in Zhengzhou, the capital city of Henan Province”。
【点拨7】专有名词与修饰关系题——以 Passage 7 题 4 为例:原文写道“she went to the Hebei Museum for n 4 treasures and local noodles”。
【点拨8】转折语境中的动词题——以 Passage 8 题 4 为例:原文写道“I asked my grandfather to help, but he r 4 ”。
• 忌“只看首字母不看搭配”:work on、pay attention to、couldn’t help but 这类搭配,首字母只是提示,搭配才定答案。
Passage 1
Today, young people across China are playing a big role in helping the country move forward.

I completely agree with the writer’s comment on The Gift of the Magi. The writer says Della and Jim have something much m 1 important than money and that is love. This r 2 me of a personal experience, and it has shown me that love is far more valuable than wealth.
Last year, my dad’s business ran into trouble. Every day, he felt sad and w 3 , believing he couldn’t provide us with a comfortable life anymore. My mum didn’t complain (抱怨) at all. She cooked our favourite meals and shared funny stories to cheer Dad u 4 .
On my birthday, I didn’t ask for any gifts as I usually would because I knew our family was g 5 through a difficult time. Instead, I made a card with a picture of the three of us smiling together. I wanted to show that I didn’t c 6 about presents at all—what I treasured most was family w 7 . When I gave it to Dad, he held me closely with tears in his eyes. Mum held our hands and said, “We may not have much money, but we have each other’s love. That’s e 8 .”
Now Dad’s business has got b 9 , but we all remember that hard time. It taught me that love can warm even the coldest moment. True h 10 doesn’t come from what we own, but from the love and care among family members.
Passage 3

Greg c 4 knows a service dog can be a great help to his son. However, it is e 5 , and his family couldn’t afford it. Though life is hard, Zachary always smiles and never complains (抱怨). Shawn was moved by the boy’s positive attitude towards life, so he decided to r 6 money to help him. Then he posted Zachary’s story on a website.
“I need to pay f 7 not only the dog, but also the training. Therefore, I set a goal of raising 13,000 d 8 ,” Shawn said. It seemed to be an impossible thing. To his surprise, he successfully achieved it three weeks later.
Zachary will get his own service dog soon. He said he would treat it as a great t 9 . As the organiser of the activity, Shawn promised that he would use the rest of the money to help a 10 person get a service dog.
Passage 4
I believe having a clear goal and a good place to save money can turn a simple wish into reality. I tried a “dream tin” to help m 1 save. Here is my story.
Last year, I really wanted a bike b 2 I wanted to ride with my friends on weekends. But I didn’t have enough money to buy it, so I decided to save my pocket money. At first, I just s 3 my pocket money little by little. However, whenever I passed a store, I couldn’t help but buy snacks or small toys. Because of this, I could never save enough.
After I came across a story f 4 the book A Dog Called Money, I learned about the “dream tin” and decided to give it a try. I found a clean biscuit tin and c 5 drew a picture of my dream bike I wanted on the lid (盖子). I wrote “MY DREAM BIKE” on it in big l 6 . From then on, every time I got my pocket money, I put half of it into the tin. Whenever I wanted to b 7 something, I thought of the tin and my bike. The tin was not just a money box; it reminded me o 8 my goal every day.
Half a year later, I opened the tin and was e 9 to find that I had enough money! I bought the bike with the money, and I felt p 10 of myself. The dream tin helped my dream come true.
Passage 5
Besides fashion shows, technology and creative products, as students, we can do many other t 1 to bring history into daily life today.
First, we can organise hands-on activities. For example, we can learn traditional handicrafts (手工艺品) like paper-cutting or pottery. When we make things w 2 our own hands, we can experience how people lived long ago. We can a 3 hold historical role-playing activities. We can dress u 4 as historical figures (人物) and act out old stories. It’s much more interesting than just r 5 textbooks!
Second, we can visit historical places. Going to a 6 towns lets us see real history, not just pictures. We can walk on the old streets and i 7 what life was like hundreds of years ago.
Third, we can share historical stories in creative ways. We can draw comics (漫画) about historical events or m 8 short videos to bring historical facts to life. When we use our creativity, history will become interesting and can be e 9 remembered.
In short, history is not just in books. By doing, visiting, and creating, we can make history part of our daily lives. These new ways, like the hanfu show and creative products, don’t just make history fun—they also help us better u 10 our past.
Passage 6
Do you love drama? Do you want to learn about Chinese history? Then you can visit “Unique Henan: Land of Dramas”, a large theatre complex Here, drama and history come t 1 in the most wonderful way to bring out the power of historical stories.
The complex l 2 in Zhengzhou, the capital city of Henan Province. Twenty-one theatres of different sizes form this amazing place, where about 800 m 3 of plays are performed every day. When you walk into a theatre, it feels like travelling through time and space to those important historical p 4 .
Tens of millions of people have visited the complex s 5 it opened. Many people describe their visit as a v 6 experience, because they not only learn about history here, but also experience it.
“History comes alive before my eyes,” said one visitor.
Many guests from other countries come here. Even without understanding Chinese, they are touched b 7 the performers’ sincere (真诚的) performances. “We now offer signs in many languages to help visitors from d 8 countries get to each theatre smoothly,” the director of the complex said.
If you get the chance, make s 9 to come here. Here, history is not sitting q 10 behind glass. It is right beside you, speaking to you through its own stories.
Passage 7
In recent years, museums across China have become increasingly popular. This year, the museum collection continues to g 1 . During the holidays, visitors form long lines outside museums. Some of them want to see the most v 2 exhibits. Some want to buy cultural p 3 . At the same time, a number of people arrive for a different reason: the museum’s food.
Eating at a museum has become a big hit. Liang, a traveller from Beijing, said that she went to the Hebei Museum for n 4 treasures and local noodles. At lunchtime, she ordered a bowl of beef noodles in the museum’s dining area. When the dish was served to her, she was amazed by i 5 beauty. On the noodles sat a steamed egg. It was shaped like the Changxin Palace Lamp, o 6 of the museum’s most famous treasures. “The dish was very creative,” she said.
Actually, with the f 7 , the museum has developed many relic-inspired (受文物启发的) dishes. The dishes not only fill visitors’ stomachs, but also encourage them to learn more a 8 the museum’s collection.
Why is eating at a museum popular these days? Convenience is one reason. Walking around a museum is tiring (累人的), so having a hot meal without leaving it is very convenient. Besides, the food is delicious and not e 9 . Most importantly, eating at a museum is p 10 of a cultural experience. Compared to traditional cultural products like fridge magnets, food is more closely connected to daily life.
Passage 8
From Zhan Haojing’s story, I can learn that as young people, we should spread traditional arts through modern methods and show their b 1 to more people.
I am the grandson of our town’s last shadow puppeteer I think shadow puppetry is amazing, b 2 old-fashioned. I prefer coding (编程).
The school art festival was coming. It was about the combination (结合) of tradition and technology. I wanted to take part. One day, an idea hit me: “Why don’t I put o 3 a show mixing shadow puppetry with my coding skills?” I asked my grandfather to help, but he r 4 , saying, “Mixing machines with our tradition is not real art.”
However, I didn’t give up. I showed my grandfather a short video online: the 3D-printed puppets were powered by code and moved in new ways. After w 5 it, my grandfather was shocked. “Maybe traditional art can learn from new ideas,” he said and agreed to help.
Every day after school, we worked t 6 . My grandfather taught me how to make puppets, while I wrote code to make the puppets move on their own. I programmed (为…… 编写程序) the lights to change with the music. I also programmed the sounds to m 7 each puppet’s movements.
The day of the festival finally came. I ran my program. The 3D-printed puppets began to move — no one was controlling (控制) them by h 8 . The lights changed colour. The music played. Everything worked well and everyone was e 9 .
After the p 10 , my grandfather smiled and said, “Old art gets new wings to fly.”
I realised that tradition isn’t a thing of the past — it grows when old art meets new ideas.
