(2)主旨大意与最佳标题(8 题,约占 20%):What is the best title / What is the passage mainly about,干扰项常“以偏概全”(拿某一段细节冒充全文主旨)。
(4)推理判断与正误辨析(5 题,约占 13%):Which is TRUE / NOT true、What can we learn,需把选项逐一代回原文核对。
(5)段落大意 / 篇章结构 / 开篇方式 / 写作目的(5 题,约占 12%):How does the writer begin、Paragraph 1 is mainly about、Why does the author write this。
以 special、robots、dancers 为关键词回到原文,文章写 “In a special dance, 16 robots and 16 dancers danced together.”,机器人与舞者同台共舞,与选项 B 完全一致,故选 B。
划线词后文给出解释 “so you don’t have to worry about using it outdoors on rainy days”,既然下雨天户外使用也无需担心,说明该词意为“防水的、不易被水损坏”,与选项 B 吻合,故选 B。
前文写 “At first, Plant Buggy was very simple.”,后文写 “Now, it moves on four big wheels...”,前后形成“起初简单→如今改进”的对比,所以空格应填承上启下的 “Over the years, it has been greatly improved.”,故选 A。
第一段以 “What’s your favourite sleeping position? On your back? On your side? How about standing up?” 连续发问引出话题,属于“提问式开头”,与选项 C(By asking questions)一致,故选 C。
第一段写 “According to the United Nations, about 2.2 billion people around the world still don’t have enough drinking water.”,作者引用联合国数据、介绍“全球约 22 亿人缺水”这一客观事实来引出后文的新方案,属于“用事实开篇”,故选 B。
首句 “Benjamin Franklin was not only a Founding Father of the United States, but also a great scientist and inventor.” 点明身份,紧接 “One of his greatest contributions was the lightning rod”,整段是对富兰克林本人及其发明的简介,故选 C。
回到原文第二段,写 “they were trying to create a type of wallpaper.”,明确说他们起初想做一种墙纸,与选项 B 一致,故选 B。
原文写 “Do not change a ‘No Derivatives’ design and then claim it as your own.”,明确禁止修改“禁止演绎”设计并以自己名义发布,选项 B“分享改动后的版本”正与之矛盾,故选 B。 NOT true / NOT permitted / EXCEPT
• 猜词义先看搭配对象与前后解释,再找同义说明或举例(such as / so / that is)。
Passage 1
The 2025 Spring Festival Gala (联欢会) brought us a super cool show with robots! In a special dance, 16 robots and 16 dancers danced together. It was a mix of modern technology and traditional art that really caught everyone’s eyes.

What’s your favourite sleeping position (姿势)? On your back? On your side? How about standing up? Unless you happen to be a giraffe, I’d never have thought anyone would choose the last one. But now, thanks to a Japanese company, people can try the new sleeping way.
Giraffenap is invented to allow users to take a rest while standing when they feel tired or sleepy at work. In an introduction to the nap (打盹) box, the company says that it will allow the user to become active again in just 20 minutes.
But why does it have to be standing? The company interprets that studies have shown a fact. Sleeping while standing helps people breathe easily. When they wake up, they can feel the advantages of a nap without having to sleep too much. And they can quickly return to work without feeling tired. Making the box stand upright means that it takes up half of the floor space.
Wouldn’t a man just fall down if he tried to sleep while standing? Of course not. Inside the box, there are four points to support the body-head, buttocks, legs and feet. So he can rest his arms, legs and head in the box while still remaining upright.

According to the United Nations, about 2.2 billion people around the world still don’t have enough drinking water. This serious problem has led scientists to look for new solutions.
Professor Omar Yaghi is one of the scientists. He has created a special device (装置). It can collect water from the air. Even in very dry places, like deserts, it can still work well. In a recent test in Death Valley, one of the hottest places on Earth, the device successfully collected water.
The secret lies in the special materials in the device. These materials can catch water vapour (水蒸气) from the air, even when the air is very dry. The device then turns the water vapour into clean and safe drinking water. Each device can make up to 1,000L of water a day. Besides, it consumes very little energy and can work without being connected to power systems.
Yaghi’s idea comes from his own childhood experiences. He grew up in a very dry place. People there received water only once every few weeks. These early experiences never left him. They made him realize how valuable water is and inspired him to find a better way to get it.
The device can help people in dry places and natural disaster areas. For example, after typhoons or floods, clean water is often hard to get. This device can provide water quickly in such situations. It brings hope to a lot of people and shows how science can help solve real-world problems.

Passage 6
Benjamin Franklin was not only a Founding Father of the United States, but also a great scientist and inventor. One of his greatest contributions was the lightning rod, which has protected many buildings from lightning strikes (雷击).
In the 18th century, lightning was a serious danger. When it hit a tall building, it could easily start a fire. People had no way to protect their homes and buildings. Franklin became deeply interested in electricity and began to wonder: was lightning a form of electricity?
To find out, Franklin designed a famous experiment in 1752. He made a kite using wood and silk and tied a metal key to the rope. Then he waited for a stormy day to fly it. He did not fly it when lightning was striking. Instead, he flew it near rain clouds. Electricity from the air travelled down the wet rope to the key, creating tiny sparks (火花). The experiment proved that lightning was indeed electricity.
Based on this discovery, Franklin invented the lightning rod. A lightning rod is a metal stick placed at the top of a building. It is connected to the ground by a wire. When lightning strikes, the rod safely guides the electricity into the earth, protecting the building.

Passage 7
Alfred Fielding and Marc Chavannes created something that would change the shipment industry and make e-commerce stores possible: bubble wrap It has been used by companies and people around the world for packing ever since.
The little air bubbles that make up a section of bubble wrap were, in fact, invented by chance. When the men fed two plastic shower curtains through a heat-sealing machine, they were trying to create a type of wallpaper. They failed, but they didn’t give up. They thought of more than 400 different uses for their soft, air-filled material, but none brought them much success.
Then, in 1960, IBM saw how useful bubble wrap could be for protecting its new, very expensive computers during shipment. A deal was made. By the mid-1960s, Fielding and Chavannes’s packing material had become a shipment must, which today protects millions of packages a year from damage.
For a lot of people, one of the best things about receiving a package is playing with the bubble wrap that comes with it.
What is it that makes bubble wrap so popular? Scientists have been looking into this for years and have some ideas. Some think that people are relaxed by touching things. So the smooth surface and bubbles are perfect for keeping our hands busy. In this way, people feel comfortable.
Other scientists think that small actions, such as finger or foot shaking, are a kind of exercise. It helps us to relieve stress by relaxing muscles. It might be the reason why popping bubble wrap is relaxing and satisfying. Whatever the reason is, this packing material has become necessary for our daily lives, and there are no signs that it will change anytime soon.

(2)主旨大意与最佳标题(8 题,约占 20%):What is the best title / What is the passage mainly about,干扰项常“以偏概全”(拿某一段细节冒充全文主旨)。 (4)推理判断与正误辨析(5 题,约占 13%):Which is TRUE / NOT true、What can we learn,需把选项逐一代回原文核对。 (5)段落大意 / 篇章结构 / 开篇方式 / 写作目的(5 题,约占 12%):How does the writer begin、Paragraph 1 is mainly about、Why does the author write this。 以 special、robots、dancers 为关键词回到原文,文章写 “In a special dance, 16 robots and 16 dancers danced together.”,机器人与舞者同台共舞,与选项 B 完全一致,故选 B。 划线词后文给出解释 “so you don’t have to worry about using it outdoors on rainy days”,既然下雨天户外使用也无需担心,说明该词意为“防水的、不易被水损坏”,与选项 B 吻合,故选 B。 前文写 “At first, Plant Buggy was very simple.”,后文写 “Now, it moves on four big wheels”,前后形成“起初简单 如今改进”的对比,所以空格应填承上启下的 “Over the years, it has been greatly improved.”,故选 A。 第一段以 “What’s your favourite sleeping position? On your back? On your side? How about standing up?” 连续发问引出话题,属于“提问式开头”,与选项 C(By asking questions)一致,故选 C。 第一段写 “According to the United Nations, about 2.2 billion people around the world still don’t have enough drinking water.”,作者引用联合国数据、介绍“全球约 22 亿人缺水”这一客观事实来引出后文的新方案,属于“用事实开篇”,故选 B。 首句 “Benjamin Franklin was not only a Founding Father of the United States, but also a great scientist and inventor.” 点明身份,紧接 “One of his greatest contributions was the lightning rod”,整段是对富兰克林本人及其发明的简介,故选 C。 回到原文第二段,写 “they were trying to create a type of wallpaper.”,明确说他们起初想做一种墙纸,与选项 B 一致,故选 B。 原文写 “Do not change a ‘No Derivatives’ design and then claim it as your own.”,明确禁止修改“禁止演绎”设计并以自己名义发布,选项 B“分享改动后的版本”正与之矛盾,故选 B。 NOT true / NOT permitted / EXCEPT • 猜词义先看搭配对象与前后解释,再找同义说明或举例(such as / so / that is)。 Passage 1 The 2025 Spring Festival Gala (联欢会) brought us a super cool show with robots! In a special dance, 16 robots and 16 dancers danced together. It was a mix of modern technology and traditional art that really caught everyone’s eyes. The team spent several years talking with farmers to see what problems they were having and how these problems might be fixed. This led to the invention of Plant Buggy, a special kind of robot that collects a lot of information about how plants grow. At first, Plant Buggy was very simple. It was built on bicycles and took pictures with phones. Now, it moves on four big wheels that are high enough to run over lines of plants. The wheels are strong enough to allow Plant Buggy to move through wet and soft fields. Besides, the robot uses solar panels (太阳能电池板) which make it save energy. It can take pictures of each plant, remember each plant's location and record its size. It can also study the plants one by one to help farmers save time and money. For example, Plant Buggy can tell which plants have diseases so that farmers can remove them as soon as possible before they ruin other plants. From strawberry fields in California to rice fields in Illinois, Plant Buggy is learning about plants from sprouting (发芽) to harvesting (收割), so scientists can find new ways to understand how plants grow. 1.Why is it difficult to produce more food in the next 50 years according to Paragraph 1? Giraffenap has been made in two different styles. They’re expected to go on sale in a few years. Franklin’s invention quickly spread around the world. It saved many lives and buildings. His curiosity and courage made him one of the most respected scientists of his time. Even today, his experiment is remembered as a significant moment in the history of science. 1.What’s Paragraph 1 mainly about? A.The steps of Franklin’s famous experiment. It has been used by companies and people around the world for packing ever since. 1.What did the two men try to create at first?
