①The documentary (纪录片) Heaven and Earth, Heroes’ Valor shown by CCTV tells twelve stories of some heroes. They gave their lives in the war. Through their stories, people can clearly see what China’s wartime spirit truly means.
②To help young people understand the history better, the documentary team used AI technology. One important way was to use AI to bring back heroes’ images (肖像), especially for those with no photos left. First, the

team talked carefully with old people and collected information about the heroes. Then they drew simple black-and-white pictures. ③AI was also used in another way—turning photos into videos. For example, Zuo Quan, a general (将军), was killed in 1942 and left behind only one family photo. After many tries, the team used AI to turn this photo into a short video. In the video, Zuo holds his daughter and smiles. His wife looks at the girl with love, and the child looks at her father with bright eyes.
④“This AI video has moved people online,” said Ren, the director. He hopes young people can learn from these heroes. “Young people today may not face war, but they still need belief, love and pride for their country. That’s the true message of these stories.”

There are challenges to recycling clothes and shoes. Many of them are difficult to recycle, so lots of old clothes

and shoes become waste. But a company in France is trying to make recycling easier and more popular with new technology.
The company is called CETIA．It has built two special machines that use artificial intelligence(AI) to help recycle clothes and shoes. With AI technology, one machine can find and cut off zippers (拉链) and buttons (纽扣) on clothes quickly. The other machine can pull off soles (鞋底)from shoes easily, which was very hard for people to do before.
This sounds simple, but no one has ever done it before. “No one was recycling soles because it was hard to separate them from shoes,” said Chloe Salmon Legagneur, director of CETIA．In the past, people had to put the shoes in an oven to melt the glue and pull off the soles by hand. But CETIA’s machine can do it much faster and better.
Some clothes can be recycled into materials for houses or roads. But most clothes cannot be easily turned into new clothes. That is because clothes have different materials that must be separated carefully by hand. This usually takes a long time and costs a lot of money. However, CETIA’s machine can do the separation faster and better than people. It can even separate clothes by color and material, making it easier to recycle old clothes into new ones.
Recycling clothes and shoes is important because it reduces waste and protects the environment. It can also create new jobs for people. CETIA is doing amazing work by developing these useful recycling machines. They’re showing us that with smart thinking and new technology, we can find good ways to solve big environmental problems.
