SHE asked how I manage to pass so many tough exams and graduate, even though I wasn't fond of medical school. Well, for that, I want to share with you two easy steps. Step one, know what the exam is really about. When you fill a bucket, always put in the big rocks first. The smaller rocks will then automatically filled the remaining spaces, concentrate on the key areas the exam is testing, and don't stress about obscure details. To do this, review past exam papers, organize them by topic and study the main types of questions commonly tested in each step to practice, practice and practice. Possessing knowledge is one thing, but being able to apply IT in an exam is another. The ability to recall knowledge is important. One effective study method is teaching somebody else. I also recommend drawing mind maps, which is my personal favorite. Additionally, using tables to compare elements helps you remember and hence recall knowledge Better. 根据第一段中“The company aims to gather real-world feedback before the official product launch later this year.(该公司计划在今年晚些时候产品正式发布前收集真实场景下的用户反馈)”可知,本次测试的核心目的是在产品上市前收集用户的使用建议。
根据Application Requirements部分中“The call is open to residents living within the city area. All applicants are supposed to be at least 18 years old and previous experience with smart devices is a must.(本次招募面向市区居民开放,所有申请人必须年满18周岁,且必须拥有智能设备使用经验)”可知,最合适这个项目的人是居住在城市地区、年满18岁并且有使用智能设备的经验的人。

I grew up in England with a British father and a Chinese mother. Ever since I could hold a knife and fork — and chopsticks — I have enjoyed the food of both countries.
My mum loves the food from her Sichuan home town and often makes spicy dishes. Because of this, Dad has learnt to love hot pot! But there are still dishes Dad dares not try. He was shocked to see the Chinese eat almost every part of an animal, and even today he will not easily eat chicken feet.
But I enjoy that kind of food myself. Last week I went to the butcher’s and asked for pig’s ears. “No,” he said, pulling at his own ears, “just these ordinary ones.” He must have thought I was joking.
Dad can cook a great English breakfast of bacon, eggs, beans and sausages. He also makes a Sunday roast. We all love it, but Mum says we should not eat too much, as it may cause inner heat.
I will never forget my first visit to China. Mum asked me to try many foods, and I loved everything. But when I thought I could eat all Chinese food, I met stinky tofu, a horrible grey thing like a burnt sports shoe. “You don’t have to try it,” Mum said, but I summoned my courage and took a bite. It was not so bad — like blue cheese. Maybe I will love stinky tofu someday.
People say one man’s meat is another man’s poison, but I feel at home with both kinds of food. To me, nothing beats a cross-cultural afternoon tea of English biscuits and Chinese oolong tea.
24.What surprised the author’s dad about Chinese food?
A.The food was much too spicy. B.The meals were always served cold.
C.The dishes were all cooked with meat. D.People ate almost every part of an animal.
25.What does the underlined word “summoned” in paragraph 5 probably mean?
A.Lost. B.Gathered. C.Hid. D.Lacked.
26.What did the author think of stinky tofu after trying it?
A.He did not want to eat it again. B.He thought it was disgusting.
C.It was not as bad as he had thought. D.He was sure he love it very much.
27.What is the best title for the text?
A.A Trip to China to Taste Food. B.A Father Who Cooks British Breakfast.
C.A Study of Chinese and British Medicine. D.A Child Who Enjoys Food From Two Cultures.
根据第二段“He was shocked to see the Chinese eat almost every part of an animal, and even today he will not easily eat chicken feet.(看到中国人几乎会吃掉动物身上所有部位,他很震惊,直到今天他都不太愿意吃鸡爪。)”
根据第五段““You don’t have to try it,” Mum said, but I summoned my courage and took a bite.(“你不必尝它,”妈妈说道,但我summoned勇气并咬了一口。)”
根据第五段“It was not so bad — like blue cheese. Maybe I will love stinky tofu someday.(它并没有那么难吃,像蓝纹奶酪。也许有一天我会爱上臭豆腐。)”可知,作者尝过之后觉得臭豆腐并没有想象中那么糟糕。
27.主旨大意题。通读全文特别是根据第一段“I grew up in England with a British father and a Chinese mother. Ever since I could hold a knife and fork — and chopsticks — I have enjoyed the food of both countries.(我在英格兰长大,父亲是英国人,母亲是中国人。从我能拿起刀叉和筷子起,我就喜欢这两个国家的食物。)”可知,文章讲述喜爱两种文化美食的孩子的故事。所以D项“A Child Who Enjoys Food From Two Cultures.(一个喜爱两种不同文化美食的孩子。)”

A new documentary, Timeless Qingyi, airs on China Central Television’s documentary channel, offering an intimate look into the life and legacy of Shen Fucun, one of the most revered masters of Peking Opera.
Born into a poor family in Chongqing in 1935, Shen rose to become a distinguished performer of his generation. As a male actor renowned for portraying qingyi, a virtuous and refined female role, he earned the nicknames “Sichuan Mei Lanfang” and “Chongqing Zhang Junqiu”, showing respect to two celebrated masters. Over a career spanning nearly 70 years, he became a national inheritor of this intangible cultural heritage and served as a visiting professor. He passed away in 2021.
The documentary stands out for its meticulous, deeply human approach. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Xu Bei, the three-episode series weaves together archival footage, family recollections and interviews to illuminate both the artist and the man behind the stage. Playwright Luo Huaizhen says the film reveals an artist’s refined aesthetic sensibility and the enduring grace of a true gentleman. Luo also notes that the film goes beyond a conventional account of Shen’s accomplishments, placing his life within social change and opera evolution, moving away from heroic narrative to reveal the experiences of an ordinary individual. By focusing on daily life details and inner world, the documentary creates intimacy, making audiences feel as though they are beside him.
The series highlights Shen’s role as a father and mentor to his daughter Shen Tiemei, vice-chair of China Theatre Association, capturing a cross-generational artistic dialogue. Shen Tiemei recalls his unwavering commitment to creative transformation and innovative development of Peking Opera, describing him as a mirror who inspired her to refine her craft. She is determined to carry forward his artistic vision, hoping to pass on his ideas to younger performers and devote herself to preserving traditional Chinese opera.

根据第二段第二句“As a male actor renowned for portraying qingyi, a virtuous and refined female role, he earned the nicknames “Sichuan Mei Lanfang” and “Chongqing Zhang Junqiu”, showing respect to two celebrated masters. (作为一名以饰演青衣(一种贤淑优雅的女性角色)而闻名的男演员,人们称他为“四川梅兰芳”“重庆张君秋”,以此向两位著名大师致敬。)”可知,他被称为“四川梅兰芳”和“重庆张君秋”,说明他的艺术风格受到梅兰芳和张君秋两位大师的影响。
29.细节理解题。根据第三段第一、二句“The documentary stands out for its meticulous, deeply human approach. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Xu Bei, the three-episode series weaves together archival footage, family recollections and interviews to illuminate both the artist and the man behind the stage. (这部纪录片以其细致入微、充满人文关怀的手法而脱颖而出。该片由获奖导演徐蓓执导,共三集,将档案影像、家庭回忆与访谈交织在一起,既展现了舞台上的艺术家,也揭示了舞台背后作为普通人的他。)”及第四句“Luo also notes that the film goes beyond a conventional account of Shen’s accomplishments, placing his life within social change and opera evolution, moving away from heroic narrative to reveal the experiences of an ordinary individual. (罗怀臻还指出,这部影片超越了对沈福存成就的传统记述,将他的生命置于社会变迁与戏曲演进的背景之中,摒弃了英雄叙事的模式,转而展现一个普通个体的生命历程。)”可知,这说明该片独特之处在于关注沈福存的个人情感与日常经历,而非只讲成就或采用宏大英雄叙事。
30.推理判断题。根据第四段中第二、三句“Shen Tiemei recalls his unwavering commitment to creative transformation and innovative development of Peking Opera, describing him as a mirror who inspired her to refine her craft. She is determined to carry forward his artistic vision, hoping to pass on his ideas to younger performers and devote herself to preserving traditional Chinese opera.
D选项“Good teachers carry culture’s flame. (良师传承文化之火)”是文章最想传递的信息。

According to our research, around one in five workers in the UK talk to AI like a friend, turning to it for guidance on personal and professional problems. Data shows engaging with AI like this can leave us feeling heard and less lonely. However, with this newfound connection, many of us share sensitive, sometimes highly private information. Still, over a third of people fail to realize that AI platforms may not be very good at keeping our secrets secret.
For business, the risks are worrying. Consider Microsoft Copilot, for example. It gains Microsoft broad rights to the data inputted or outputted by any user — rights to use this data in any way it sees fit; it can even share it with third parties. This means that any sensitive business information could potentially be exposed to the world. Employers are taking note and taking action. According to our research, 25% have decided to either completely ban AI tools or regulate their use. But even with these policies in place, some workers choose to ignore the rules. They have their reasons: around 63% of them say AI increases their productivity, and some even feel AI offers more help than their human colleagues.
The situation presents a delicate balance between employing AI to raise efficiency and risking private data exposure. Companies need to manage AI tools with the same caution they apply to all data storage and exchange. There’s also a knowledge gap that needs to be addressed — 40% of individuals surveyed are unsure about who holds ownership over the content produced by AI. By establishing proper guidelines for AI use and creating policies that evolve with the technology, businesses can positively shift the AI landscape.
AI has the power to simplify office work and improve working experience. It’s up to us to navigate its usage cautiously so it supports us without putting our privacy at risk. There’s no need to back away from progress, as long as we’re equipped with the knowledge and tools to make sure AI remains a friend. And this is where the challenge lies. There are so many products out there, being promoted with huge advertising and marketing budgets, that it’s easy to fall victim. But by building a culture of digital responsibility within our business, we can create a future where AI can help us without spilling the beans.
32.What benefit can workers get from AI according to Paragraph 1?
A.Rapid career progress. B.Strong emotional support.
C.Continuous work motivation. D.Smooth workplace communication.
33.Why do some employees continue to use AI despite company rules?
A.To get access to sensitive data. B.To keep up with business updates.
C.To improve their work efficiency. D.To gain an advantage over colleagues.
34.What can we infer from Paragraph 3?
A.AI has reached its full potential.
B.Companies should adapt rules to AI development.
C.Few firms realize the value of AI guidelines.
D.Ownership of AI products has been clearly defined.
35.What is the main idea of the text?
A.The advantages and risks of workplace AI use.
B.The wide application of AI tools in modern offices.
C.Practical guidelines for protecting data against AI leaks.
D.Conflicts between employers and employees over AI policies.
【答案】32.B 33.C 34.B 35.A
根据第一段“Data shows engaging with AI like this can leave us feeling heard and less lonely. (数据显示,以这种方式和 AI 交流能让人感到被理解,不再那么孤单。)”可知,员工能从AI身上获得有力的情感支持。
33.细节理解题。根据第二段“They have their reasons: around 63% of them say AI increases their productivity, and some even feel AI offers more help than their human colleagues. (他们自有理由:约63%的员工表示AI能提升工作效率,部分人甚至觉得AI比同事更有用。)”可知,即便公司出台管控规定,员工仍坚持使用AI是为了提高工作效率。
34.推理判断题。根据第三段“By establishing proper guidelines for AI use and creating policies that evolve with the technology, businesses can positively shift the AI landscape.
因此 “The advantages and risks of workplace AI use (职场使用人工智能的利弊)”最能概括全文主旨。
The stuffed animal beside a laptop may not belong to a child. More adults are buying toys for their pleasure and are no longer embarrassed about it. Recent industry research shows that adults now account for more than a quarter of global toy sales, while adults buying toys of their own make up over one-fifth of plush-toy (毛绒玩具) purchases. 36
Adult life contains plenty of problems without quick or satisfying endings. Work follows people home through their phones. 37 A plush animal does not need an answer. A Lego set turns a confusing evening into a series of small, manageable steps.
Nostalgia (怀旧) also plays an important part. An old character, toy car or building set can reconnect someone with childhood, when happiness might have arrived in a cardboard box. Toy companies have noticed this and begin to respond accordingly. 38 Plush brands such as Jellycat bring back once-popular figures, making people relive Saturday morning cartoons.
39 People document their collections, post their new purchases, and openly share how much comfort their toys bring them. Seeing others do the same has reduced the embarrassment once attached to “childish” hobbies.
Toys bring people simple happiness and perhaps that is the gentlest part of the trend. 40 Toys make room for something equally important: joy without a useful purpose. Growing up does not have to mean putting every soft, silly or colorful thing away. Sometimes being an adult simply means you can finally choose the toy yourself.
A.A toy, however, asks much less of its owner.
B.They regard toy making as a profitable industry.
C.These consumers are sometimes called “kidults”.
D.Social media has made this affection more visible.
E.But the appeal cannot be explained by figures alone.
F.Lego redesigns classic sets from the 1980s for grown-ups.
G.Adulthood usually teaches people to value practical things.
【答案】36.E 37.A 38.F 39.D 40.G
前文“Recent industry research shows that adults now account for more than a quarter of global toy sales, while adults buying toys of their own make up over one-fifth of plush-toy (毛绒玩具) purchases.(最近的行业研究表明,成年人现在占全球玩具销量的四分之一以上,而为自己购买玩具的成年人占毛绒玩具购买量的五分之一以上)”介绍了成年人为自己购买玩具的相关行业数据。
37.前文“Adult life contains plenty of problems without quick or satisfying endings. Work follows people home through their phones.(成人生活充满没有快速或满意结局的问题。工作通过手机跟着人回家)”说明成人生活的压力和负担。后文“A plush animal does not need an answer. A Lego set turns a confusing evening into a series of small, manageable steps.(毛绒动物不需要答案。乐高套装把混乱的夜晚变成一系列小而可管理的步骤)”说明玩具带来的轻松。空处应形成对比,说明玩具对主人的要求很低。A选项“A toy, however, asks much less of its owner.(然而,玩具对它的主人要求少得多)”承上启下,与工作压力形成对比,符合语境。
38.前文“Toy companies have noticed this and begin to respond accordingly.(玩具公司注意到了这一点,并开始相应地做出回应)”说明玩具公司针对怀旧需求采取行动。后文“Plush brands such as Jellycat bring back once-popular figures, making people relive Saturday morning cartoons.(毛绒品牌例如Jellycat带回曾经受欢迎的形象,让人们重温周六早间卡通片)”以Jellycat为例说明公司的回应。 F选项“Lego redesigns classic sets from the 1980s for grown-ups.(乐高为成年人重新设计20世纪80年代的经典套装)”中的“redesigns classic sets”正是对怀旧需求的回应,与后文Jellycat的例子并列,都是公司回应怀旧需求的具体做法,符合语境。
39.后文“People document their collections, post their new purchases, and openly share how much comfort their toys bring them. Seeing others do the same has reduced the embarrassment once attached to “childish” hobbies.(人们记录他们的收藏,发布他们新买的东西,并公开分享玩具给他们带来多少安慰。看到别人也这样做,减少了曾经附在“幼稚”爱好上的尴尬)”说明人们在网络上记录和分享自己的玩具,公开分享让这种爱好被更多人接受。空处应总领全段,点明让这种喜爱公开化的媒介。D选项“Social media has made this affection more visible.(社交媒体让这种喜爱更加显眼)”中的“Social media”对应后文的“document”,“post”,“share”等行为,“this affection”指代人们对玩具的喜爱,与后文“Seeing others do the same”相呼应,符合语境。
40.后文“Toys make room for something equally important: joy without a useful purpose.(玩具为同样重要的东西腾出空间:没有实用目的的快乐)”说明玩具提供的是非实用的快乐。 G选项“Adulthood usually teaches people to value practical things.(成年通常教会人们重视实用的东西)”与后文“joy without a useful purpose”形成对比,符合语境。

Dear Tom,
I’m sorry to learn about your present situation. I’m writing to give you some suggestions.
First of all, I suggest setting a strict time limit on short videos and watching them only after completing your daily studies in order to have a rest and refresh yourself. Additionally, it would be beneficial to explore other engaging activities, which can not only distract your focus but also bring a deeper sense of achievement. Most importantly, turning off your phone during study hours can significantly reduce the urge to watch.
I’m looking forward to hearing about the positive changes that you’ll make.
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua

The Last Pass
For two years, my life had been about basketball: the sound of shoes and the ball hitting the floor. Making the school team was my big dream for Grade 10 — the result of every early practice and every tired morning. But there I sat. With three minutes left and a twenty-point lead, Coach Thompson still did not look at the bench. I looked down at my new No. 12 shirt. It was still clean and dry. My shoes were almost new. The crowd sounded far away, like noise behind a wall.
On the court, the first five players moved together well. Jake made another three-point shot, and the stands got louder. While my teammates smiled, I thought about last Tuesday’s practice: the missed easy shot and the pass that hit the floor. I knew I was not as good a shooter as Jake, but I could pass and I could guard. I had spent months learning my steps near the basket. But Coach trusted the players who took the lead, and I felt invisible. When the game ended, I forced a smile and clapped with the team. No one saw that I never touched the ball.
The locker room was full of happy noise. Teammates threw water into the air and laughed loudly. I quietly put my towel and belongings into my bag, hoping no one would see me leave. Just then, Coach Thompson walked over with the game ball, dirty and wet with sweat. He gave it to Jake, who had scored thirty points. Jake held the ball high and smiled for the cameras. I turned away and bit my lip.
“Hey, wait,” a voice called. It was Jake. He threw the ball to me. “Take this to the room where we keep the balls, will you?”

I held the ball and felt its warmth. Its worn leather had witnessed Jake’s glory, and my loneliness. Instead of heading to the equipment room, I walked back to the empty court, where under the dim lights I dribbled, pivoted and shot again and again. I stayed until my jersey was soaked and my arms ached. That night I decided to wait for no one's permission — to make myself impossible to ignore.
Coach looked at me and said, “You’ll start against Lincoln High.” For a second I just turned it over in my hands; my heart pounded harder than it had after any buzzer-beater, and my “Yes, sir” came out a notch too loud. That afternoon I didn’t hang back — I called for the ball nervously and dove for loose balls; his eyes lingered on me a second longer than usual. I knew it was my one shot — not for fame, but to prove that the boy who carried the ball to the equipment room could also carry the team when Friday came.

B.It tells Shen’s story in a heroic and grand style.

30.What did Shen Fucun leave to his daughter?
A.His personal fortune. B.His academic reputation.
C.His spiritual treasure. D.His unique skills of acting.
31.What message does this passage convey?
