①Have you ever had someone believe in you when you did not believe in yourself? That is the power of inspiration. When we inspire others, we do not just help them—we also grow as people.
②Inspiring others is very meaningful. For example, when you encourage a classmate feeling down, you learn to be patient and kind. Also, watching someone you have encouraged achieve their dreams is a wonderful feeling. When you give your time and energy out of kindness, you feel proud of yourself because you realize you are making a positive difference in the world.
③Inspiration gives people a sense of purpose and hope. It makes them feel like they are part of something bigger than just living day to day. When people feel inspired, they become more confident and ready to do meaningful work. A student with inspiration may put more effort into learning. In a team or business, inspiration can lead to better results and stronger teamwork.
④Inspiration helps leaders build strong relationships and learn more about themselves. Great leaders inspire others by sharing their values and future plans. You also learn how well you communicate. If people do not listen to you, you can improve your way of leading.

And remember—true inspiration comes from focusing on others, not yourself. When you inspire someone, you give them hope. And hope can change everything.

Once Upon a Time in the Middle East, also known as Welcome to Dragon Restaurant, is a highly praised anti-war film directed by Wen Muye, who is good at showing ordinary people’s growth and inner goodness through hard times. Starring Shen Teng and Jiang Qiming, the film presents the spiritual change of an ordinary Chinese chef (主厨) who was stuck in a terrible war in the Middle East.
Xu Fu, an experienced chef from Northeast China, fell into huge debt (债务) after a fire accident in his restaurant injured a customer. Faced with large debts to pay and the duty of supporting his elderly mother and young daughter, he took a risky job as the head chef of Dragon Restaurant in Bahata, a city destroyed by ongoing wars. There, he worked with Ma Junsheng, a thoughtful and quick-witted restaurant manager familiar with local people.
With personal interests at first, Xu Fu aimed only to earn enough money to pay off his debts and return home safely. He showed little care for the pain of local people and children who lost their parents in the war, even though the restaurant served as an important place that provided stable water and food in the chaotic city.
As the war grew worse, Xu Fu and Ma Junsheng were arrested (逮捕) by a cruel leader known as “the Principal”. He took homeless children and trained them for suicide attacks. At first, the two partners only planned an escape for themselves. However, after learning that dozens of children would be sent on deadly bombing tasks in days, they decided to save all the children at the risk of their own lives.
To prevent the children from carrying out the dangerous tasks, Ma Junsheng secretly added “sprouted (发芽的) potatoes” to the meals, which made all the children unfit for the plan. However, when the trick was found, Ma Junsheng was killed by the leader. His selfless sacrifice completely changed Xu Fu’s mind. In the end, Xu Fu built up great courage to save all the trapped children, showing that true kindness can shine brightly even in the darkest moments of war.
