3. 语言小贴士（考点归纳）。

① honest 以元音音素开头，前面用 an（an honest boy）；副词是 honestly。例：He is an honest boy and never tells lies.

② cheerful 形容词“快乐的，开朗的”，动词是 cheer（使快乐），短语 cheer sb. up 意为“使某人振作起来”，代词作宾语时要居中：cheer me up。

③ humorous 形容词“幽默的”，名词是 humour（幽默），短语 sense of humour 意为“幽默感”。例：Tom has a great sense of humour.

④ 后缀 -ful 表示“充满……的”，-less 表示“没有……的”：helpful／helpless、useful／useless、careful／careless、hopeful／hopeless、harmful／harmless。

⑤ caring 形容词“关心他人的，体贴人的”，动词是 care（关心），短语 care about sb.／sth. 意为“关心某人／某事”。例：A good friend cares about your feelings.

⑥ truth 名词“事实，真相”，形容词是 true，副词是 truly；tell the truth 意为“说实话”，反义短语是 tell a lie（撒谎）。

⑦ lie 作动词有两义：撒谎（lie to sb.，过去式 lied）、躺（过去式 lay）；作名词意为“谎言”。例：Don't lie to your friends.
