同学们，你们玩过“华容道”或听过“空城计”的故事吗？在中国古代，智者常常不费一兵一卒便化险为夷。而在两千多年前的古希腊，也有一场“不战而胜”的传奇——一座固若金汤的城池，竟在一夜之间被一匹“巨大的木马”攻破了。这匹木马究竟藏着什么秘密？让我们穿越回爱琴海畔的特洛伊城，一探究竟。

师：Look at the picture. What can you see?

S1: I can see a huge wooden horse.

任务一：Pre-reading 读前预测

1. 观察教材第84—85页故事插图，预测故事内容。

师：Look at the pictures. Who are the characters? What are they doing? What will happen in the story?

S1: I think the story is about a war between the Greeks and the Trojans.

S2: Maybe some soldiers are hiding in the wooden horse.

2. 处理生词，扫清障碍

利用图片和语境学习生词：soldier（士兵）, wooden（木制的）, captain（首领）, capture（攻占）, victory（胜利）, secretly（秘密地）, celebrate（庆祝）。

① During the day：The Greek army sailed away and left a huge wooden horse.（白天：希腊军队扬帆离去，只留下一匹巨大的木马）

② In the evening：The Trojans pulled the horse into the city and celebrated around it in the main square. They made jokes about the “stupid” Greeks.（傍晚：特洛伊人把木马拉进城，在主广场载歌载舞，嘲笑“愚蠢”的希腊人）

③ After the party：The Trojans locked all the gates and went to sleep.（狂欢结束后：特洛伊人锁上城门入睡）

④ At midnight：By midnight the main square was empty. The Greek soldiers inside the horse opened the secret door, climbed out, and quietly made their way to the main gate to let in the Greek soldiers waiting outside.（午夜：木马中的希腊士兵爬出，打开城门，放进城外的大军）
