1. 词汇跟读：跟读并记忆下列单词（注意读音与词义）。

3. 语言小贴士（考点归纳）。

① review 既是名词“评论；书评；复习”，也可作动词“评论；复习”；a book review 意为“书评；读后感”。

② reviewer 意为“评论者；书评作者”，由动词 review 加 -er 构成。

③ recommend 意为“推荐；建议”，常用 recommend sth. to sb. / recommend doing sth. / recommend that ... (should) do sth.：I highly recommend this book.

④ be based on 意为“以……为基础；根据”，常用被动结构：It is based on their experiences in a Chongqing prison.

⑤ novel 意为“小说”；a moving novel 意为“一部感人的小说”。

⑥ plot 意为“情节”；the summary of the plot 意为“情节概要”。

⑦ character 意为“人物；角色”；your favourite character 意为“你最喜欢的人物”。

⑧ chapter 意为“章节”；the first chapter 意为“第一章”。

⑨ keep on doing sth. 意为“坚持做某事”；give in 意为“屈服；让步”，是不及物动词短语，后面不接宾语。

⑩ spirit 意为“精神”；the fearless spirit of ... 意为“……的大无畏精神”。

⑪ fight for 意为“为……而斗争”；fight against 意为“与……作斗争”。

⑫ 书评（book review）常见四段式：基本信息（title, author, type）→ 情节概述（summary of the plot）→ 最喜爱的人物或章节（your favourite character or chapter）→ 推荐理由（why it is recommended）。

进阶任务（能力提升，15分钟）

1. 教材写作准备（Get Ready for Writing）：学校英文杂志正在向同学们征集好书书评（The school's English magazine is calling on students to submit book reviews of good novels they have read.）。请先想好一本你要写书评的小说。
