Don’t try to show you are right all the time. It’s important to listen to your friend’s opinion. Don’t just focus on showing that you are right. 34 .
Listen and plan. You can cut down on arguments (争吵) by listening carefully to your friend. Planning what you want to say helps you express yourself in a way that won’t cause trouble.

Sometimes our friends do things that make us sad, and we might want to talk to them about these things. But how can we make these talks easier? 31 .
It’s important to have good evidence (证据) that there is a problem. 32 Once you have it, you should explain what the problem means to you. Then your friends may understand your feelings.
33 . Saying “I feel hurt because you spend less time with me.” is less accusatory (谴责的) than saying “You never spend time with me.” As such, things may not go worse.
It is necessary to stay calm during a talk. Getting angry could lead to a fight. You could tell your friend that you feel a little worried about the talk. You can continue the talk after both of you become calm.
Be realistic. Remember that it's impossible to solve difficult problems in just one talk. Think about what is possible to get in one talk. 35 .
A.Here is some advice.
B.Describe the problem with “I”.
C.Why not continue the talk?
D.This will help you set realistic goals.
E.Try to understand how your friend feels.
F.The evidence should be something that you both can agree on.
【答案】31.A 32.F 33.B 34.E 35.D
前文提到“But how can we make these talks easier?
32.前文提到“It’s important to have good evidence (证据) that there is a problem.”
33.后文提到的“Saying ‘I feel hurt because you spend less time with me.’ is less accusatory (谴责的) than saying ‘You never spend time with me.’” 和“You never...”
34.前文提到的“Don’t try to show you are right all the time. It’s important to listen to your friend’s opinion.”,强调不要总想证明自己对、要倾听朋友的意见,选项E“试着理解朋友的感受”是对“倾听朋友意见”的进一步深化和总结。
Remember that it’s impossible to solve difficult problems in just one talk. Think about what is possible to get in one talk.”,本段核心建议是要现实,前文提到要考虑一次谈话中能实现的内容,要想清楚一次谈话可能达成什么,选项D“这将帮助你设定现实的目标”符合语境。

It is about 1,500 years old"(它大约有1500年的历史了)这一时间长度的具体说明,可知前文是对剪纸时间维度的总体概括。
Some look like animals and some look like flowers"(有些看起来像动物,有些看起来像花)对形状多样性的具体列举,可知前文需用形容词修饰"shapes"(形状)以概括这种多样性。
44 考查there be句型中的be动词。 More and more young people like paper﹣cutting now"(现在越来越多年轻人喜欢剪纸)形成因果关联——正因喜爱者众,方有社团林立,故填are。
根据固定句型"it is easy for sb.to do sth."(对某人来说做某事是容易的)中"to"后接动词原形的结构要求,可知此处需填入动词原形。
