In recent years, MBTI has become very popular. But in 2026, a new online test called SBTI—short for “Silly Personality Test”—has changed the way Chinese people describe their personality types.
Unlike MBTI, which divides (把……分成) people into sixteen personality types, SBTI is not based on any psychological principles (心理学原理) at all, and it has eleven more personality types than the number of types in the MBTI. After completing the SBTI test, people do not receive a serious personality type but a funny one, which helps them see themselves in a humorous way. Here are some of the SBTI personality types:
SOLOIt describes people who prefer to
be alone. They don’t like depending on others. They always say, “I do
just fine on my own. ”
ATM-erIt describes people who can’t say “no” to spending money. They always pay for others or buy useless things. Their wallet never stays full for long.
OH-NO!It describes people who always feel worried before anything happens.
The first thing they say in any situation is “Oh no!”, even when things are fine.
MUMIt describes people who always take care of others. They give love, advice, and comfort freely to others, but hardly ask for anything in return.
Actually, MBTI and SBTI are also very different in terms of test results. MBTI has a fixed (固定的) set of questions and stable (稳定的) results, while SBTI is very different. SBTI has about 30 questions, which take only a few minutes to finish. The same person can even get three different types in one day.
For young people, this change means a lot. In a world full of pressure, SBTI offers them a humorous way to understand themselves and reduce stress.
16. What can we know about the SBTI test according to the passage?
A. Its creator. B. Its full name. C. Its most popular personality type. D. The answers to its questions.
17. How many personality types does SBTI have?
A. Eleven. B. Sixteen. C. Twenty-seven. D. Twenty-eight.
18. What would a person with a “MUM” personality most likely say?
A. “Don’t worry! I’ll help you do that!”
B. “I can’t go with you to the hospital. Please ask someone else.”
C. “Can you bring me lunch tomorrow? After all, I brought lunch for you last time.”
D. “I’d better stay at home alone. I don’t need anyone’s help.”
19. What can we infer about the SBTI test according to the passage?
A. It’s just a test for fun.
B. It has a scientific basis (依据).
C. It is quick to take, and the results are stable.
D. It takes a long time to finish.
20. What’s the best title for the passage?
A. How to Do the SBTI Test Correctly
B. The Science Behind Personality Tests in China
C. A Fun Personality Test That Helps People Understand Themselves
D. MBTI Is More Popular Than SBTI in 2026
【答案】16. B 17. C 18. A 19. A 20. C
根据“But in 2026, a new online test called SBTI—short for ‘Silly Personality Test’”可知,文章开篇明确介绍了SBTI的全称是“Silly Personality Test”。
【17题详解】
根据“Unlike MBTI, which divides (把……分成) people into sixteen personality types, SBTI is not based on any psychological principles (心理学原理) at all, and it has eleven more personality types than the number of types in the MBTI.”可知,MBTI将人分为16种人格类型,SBTI的人格类型数量比MBTI多11种,经过计算16+11=27,因此SBTI共有27种人格类型。
【18题详解】
根据“It describes people who always take care of others. They give love, advice, and comfort freely to others, but hardly ask for anything in return.”可知,MUM型人格的特点是总是照顾他人、无偿向他人付出关爱、建议和安慰,几乎不求回报。A项“别担心!我来帮你做!”完全符合该人格的特质。
【19题详解】
根据倒数第二段“SBTI has about 30 questions…The same person can even get three different types in one day.”和末段“ SBTI offers them a humorous way to understand themselves and reduce stress.”
B
In today’s society, many young people worry about how they look, which leads to feelings of anxiety (焦虑).
In Japan, people are usually shyer and quieter than people in Western countries. This can make students less confident and stop them from showing who they are. For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic (新冠疫情), masks became a daily part of life. Even after the pandemic, many Japanese students still wore masks because they felt nervous about showing their faces.
In Sweden, many students worry about how they look, and social media is a big reason. The pictures students see online often show people who look perfect, and this makes them feel like they need to look the same. This problem gets worse because of apps like Photoshop, which make people look even more perfect. Students think they are not as good-looking as the people in these pictures and feel anxious.
In Mexico, students feel nervous about their looks, too. Ana, a 14-year-old, has seen some classmates get anxious when they get pimples (青春痘) and others talk about makeup tips and share cosmetics (化妆品) in the restroom. These worries are common among teenagers as their bodies change and grow. She thinks things like social pressure from friends, bullying (霸凌), and seeing pop stars influence these feelings. She says that overcoming these worries helps teenagers better understand and accept themselves. She also encourages everyone to focus on (关注) what they’re good at and remember that it’s okay to look different because nobody is perfect.
However, things get better in Singapore. Huang Luofei, a 13-year-old, noticed that not many people at her school worry about how they look. She believes this is because Singapore is a multicultural (多元文化的) country with many different ideas of beauty and style. People there care more about personality than appearance (外貌), and schools let students truly be themselves.
Do students in your country worry about how they look? What makes them feel this way? What do you think about it? Anyway, it’s important for you to remember that everyone is different and everyone can be beautiful in their own way.
21. Why do many Japanese students still wear masks even after the COVID-19 pandemic?
A. Because it’s a tradition in Japan.
B. Because masks are required by the school.
C. Because they feel nervous about showing their faces.
D. Because they think masks protect them from getting sick again.
22. What does the underlined word “this” in Paragraph 3 refer to?
A. The fact that Swedish students like sharing photos online.
B. The problem that Swedish students worry about their looks.
C. The situation that online pictures show perfect-looking people.
D. The trend that students use apps like Photoshop to edit photos.
23. What does Ana suggest teenagers do to overcome worries about their looks?
A. Spend more time learning makeup skills.
B. Compare themselves with perfect online pictures less.
C. Focus on their strong points and accept their differences.
D. Ask friends for advice on how to improve their appearance.
24. What can we infer from the passage?
A. All young people in the world worry about their appearance.
B. The reasons for students’ appearance anxiety are different among countries.
C. Social media is the main cause of appearance anxiety worldwide.
D. Students in Western countries are more confident than those in Asia.
25. What is the structure of the text?
A. ①/②③④⑤/⑥ B. ①/②③④/⑤⑥ C. ①/②③/④/⑤⑥ D. ①②③④/⑤/⑥
【答案】21. C 22. C 23. C 24. B 25. A

There are challenges to recycling clothes and shoes. Many of them are difficult to recycle, so lots of old clothes and shoes become waste. But a company in France is trying to make recycling easier and more popular with new technology.
The company is called CETIA. It has built two special machines that use artificial intelligence(AI) to help recycle clothes and shoes. With AI technology, one machine can find and cut off zippers (拉链) and buttons (纽扣) on clothes quickly. The other machine can pull off soles (鞋底)from shoes easily, which was very hard for people to do before.
This sounds simple, but no one has ever done it before. “No one was recycling soles because it was hard to separate them from shoes,” said Chloe Salmon Legagneur, director of CETIA.In the past, people had to put the shoes in an oven to melt the glue and pull off the soles by hand. But CETIA’s machine can do it much faster and better.
Some clothes can be recycled into materials for houses or roads. But most clothes cannot be easily turned into new clothes. That is because clothes have different materials that must be separated carefully by hand. This usually takes a long time and costs a lot of money. However, CETIA’s machine can do the separation faster and better than people. It can even separate clothes by color and material, making it easier to recycle old clothes into new ones.
Recycling clothes and shoes is important because it reduces waste and protects the environment. It can also create new jobs for people. CETIA is doing amazing work by developing these useful recycling machines. They’re showing us that with smart thinking and new technology, we can find good ways to solve big environmental problems.
26. It’s clear that CETIA is________.
A. a clothing store B. a cleaning business
C. a technology company D. an environmental organization
27. What does the underlined word “it” in Paragraph 3 refer to?
A. Pulling off soles from shoes.
B. Separating clothes by color and material.
C. Cutting off zippers and buttons on clothes.
D. Putting the shoes on an oven to melt the glue.
28. What does the writer think about the two machines?
A. He finds them amazing B. He thinks they’re helpless.
C. He believes they need improvement. D. He worries about their future.
29. What will happen to old clothes due to (因为) the new machine?
A. They will be sold in Africa. B. They will be made into new materials.
C. They will be made into shoes. D. They will be made into new clothes.
30. The writer wrote the passage to ________.
A. explain the importance of recycling
B. introduce a company and its inventions
C. call for people to protect the environment
D. make a report on a company’s achievements
【答案】26. C 27. A 28. A 29. D 30. B

Small, sweet, and a little sandy in the mouth, the “sugar pill” is a good memory for many Chinese children—but it was never just candy.
In the 1950s, polio (小儿麻痹症) spread quickly across China. Many children died or were disabled. ____31____
In 1957, Gu Fangzhou, a virus expert, took on the task of developing China’s own polio vaccine (疫苗). At the time, other countries mainly used two types of vaccines. The first type used killed viruses. It was safer, but it was expensive and less effective. The second was made from weakened live viruses. ____32____ However, researchers did not fully prove its safety.
In the 1950s, most Chinese families were poor. An expensive vaccine was simply out of reach. ____33____ After years of hard work, he and his team finally produced a live polio vaccine in 1960. Gu tested it on himself and then on his one-year-old son. Both were safe.
By the end of that year, 11 Chinese cities began to use the vaccine. But new problems soon came up: The vaccine had to stay cold to remain effective. So, it was difficult to send it to faraway places. ____34____
One day, Gu saw his son happily reaching for candy. An idea came to him: Why not turn the vaccines into sugar-coated pills? He acted at once. A year later, sugar pill vaccines appeared. They tasted better and, more importantly, could stay effective at room temperature for about five days. This way, more places could benefit from the vaccine.
____35____ Gu passed away in 2019, but our respect and sweet memories of his invention live on forever.
A. Gu chose the second, riskier way.

D. MBTI Is More Popular Than SBTI in 2026
①②③④/⑤/⑥
C

B. It spread to neighbouring areas and resulted in 466 deaths.
