I stood at Mrs. Blackstone’s door. Before I tried the great escape, the door opened. “We’ve been waiting for you!” Mrs. Blackstone, my new fifth grade teacher, said loudly. With a smile my mom walked away and I was left taking center stage in front of a group of students. Over the next few days, Mrs. Blackstone made it her job to find me a new best friend. During history lessons, when I didn’t want to speak in front of the class, she’d not only call on me but have me stand up to say something to my classmates. One spring afternoon, Mrs. Blackstone asked me to stay after class. “I’d like to speak with you, Amanda.” My mind raced. Had I got a bad grade? Had I hurt anyone’s feelings? “Are you enjoying your new school?” She sat comfortably behind her desk. “I want to tell you something, between you and me, not to be shared with anyone else.” She continued, “I see something special in you. The way you communicate with others, and the kindness you show — I think you have great potential to be something important.” I listened carefully to every word. “I have been a teacher for over twenty-five years; I can see it. But you must believe in yourself. That’s very important. Remember that and you’ll go far,” she said. Her voice was music to my ears that day. I walked out of her office, not staring at my shoes, but looking straight ahead with my head high. My teacher saw something special in me! Years later, her words still remain inside of me. 4. The author came from a poor family. B. The teacher sang a song to the author. C. The author no longer cared for anybody but herself. D. The author never forgot what the teacher said. D 5. B 6. C 7. 根据文章第一段“Before I tried the great escape, the door opened. “We’ve been waiting for you!” Mrs. Blackstone, my new fifth grade teacher, said loudly. With a smile my mom walked away and I was left taking center stage in front of a group of students.(我没来得及趁机溜走,门就开了。“我们正等你呢!”Blackstone老师——我五年级的新老师——大声说道。妈妈笑着走开了,只留下我一个人站在一群学生面前,仿佛成了全场的焦点。)”可知,作者是刚转学的新学生,面对新老师、新同学有“试图溜走”以及“在众人面前不自在”等表现,这些都是不适应新环境的体现。故选D。 【5题详解】 推理判断题。根据文章第三段“One spring afternoon, Mrs. Blackstone asked me to stay after class. “I’d like to speak with you, Amanda.” My mind raced. Had I got a bad grade? Had I hurt anyone’s feelings?(一个春日的下午,Blackstone老师让我课后留下来。“Amanda,我想跟你聊聊。”我的脑子飞速运转:是我考了低分吗?还是我伤到谁的感情了?)”可知,Blackstone老师让作者课后留下时,作者脑子飞速运转,还猜测自己是不是考了低分、是不是伤害了别人,这些表现都体现出她内心的紧张。故选B。 【6题详解】 细节理解题。根据文章第三段““I see something special in you. The way you communicate with others, and the kindness you show — I think you have great potential to be something important.” I listened carefully to every word. “I have been a teacher for over twenty-five years; I can see it. But you must believe in yourself. That’s very important. Remember that and you’ll go far,” she said.(“我在你身上看到了特别的东西。你与人交流的方式,还有你展现出的善意——我觉得你很有潜力,能成为重要的人。”我认真听着每一个字。“我当老师已经二十五年多了,我能看出来。但你必须相信自己,这非常重要。记住这一点,你一定会大有作为的。”她说。)”可知,Blackstone老师和作者谈话,既点明了作者身上的闪光点与潜力,更核心的是强调必须相信自己,以此鼓励作者建立自信。故选C。 【7题详解】 推理判断题。根据文章最后一段“Years later, her words still remain inside of me.(多年以后,她的那些话依然留在我心里。)” D。 C My studies once showed that students perform better when they take notes by hand than when they use laptops. Before I knew it, those studies were used as good reasons for laptop bans (禁止) in classrooms in the U.S. I received a lot of emails blaming (责备) me for such ideas. The fact is that I don’t actually support laptop bans, and never have. In fact, I don’t even ban laptops in my own classes. In the research, we asked students to watch TED Talks and had them take notes either on laptops or with a pen and paper. Students using laptops recorded the talks nearly with every word, while students who took handwritten notes could not; they just took notes in their own words. Writing by hand required students to understand and summarize the talk. And deeper processing (加工) of the information led to improved learning. As a result, students in this case get higher points on tests. My findings came out. Teachers around the country soon started banning laptops in their classes. But they didn’t know what actually made learning difficult was the mindless recording of a lecture. Laptops just allowed students to take notes more quickly. Like most technology, laptops are not universally helpful or harmful in class. Whether they are helpful or harmful depends on the aim. The value of a laptop in the classroom depends on the goal of a lesson plan, the nature of the text, the kind of students being taught, etc. So can laptops be used in the classroom? If a lesson requires exact quotes, then laptops are excellent. But if the goal is conceptual (概念的) understanding, they will produce the exactly opposite results. Don’t forget the situation when deciding whether or not to allow laptops in your class. All in all, the answer to the question is that it depends. 8. Why did the author receive many blaming emails? A. He banned laptops in classes. B. His studies supported laptop bans. C. His research results let people down. D. Schools used his studies to ban laptops. 9. What was the key difference between laptop notes and handwritten notes in the research? A. Laptop notes were much more detailed. B. Handwritten notes bettered thinking ability. C. Handwritten notes recorded every word in need. D. Laptop notes were written in students’ own words. 10. What did the author think made learning difficult in the case of laptop use? A. The technology of laptops itself. B. Students’ improper use of laptops. C. The speed of taking notes with laptops. D. The design of lesson plans for laptop users. 11. What is the main idea of the passage? A. Handwritten notes are better for students’ learning than laptop notes. B. Laptop bans in classrooms are unreasonable and should be prohibited. C. The use of laptops in classrooms should be decided based on situations. D. Research on note-taking methods helps improve teaching achievements. D 9. B 10. B 11. 根据第一段“Before I knew it, those studies were used as good reasons for laptop bans (禁止) in classrooms in the U.S. I received a lot of emails blaming (责备) me for such ideas. (我还没反应过来,这些研究就被用作美国课堂禁止使用笔记本电脑的充分理由。我收到了很多邮件,都因为这些想法而责备我)”可知,作者收到很多责备邮件是因为学校用他的研究来禁止笔记本电脑。故选D。 【9题详解】 细节理解题。根据第二段“Students using laptops recorded the talks nearly with every word, while students who took handwritten notes could not; they just took notes in their own words. Writing by hand required students to understand and summarize the talk. And deeper processing (加工) of the information led to improved learning. (使用笔记本电脑的学生几乎逐字记录了演讲内容,而手写笔记的学生则无法做到;他们只是用自己的话做笔记。手写要求学生理解并总结演讲内容,而对信息的更深层次加工则有助于提升学习效果)”可知,研究中笔记本电脑记笔记和手写记笔记的关键区别是手写笔记能提升思考能力,因为需要理解和总结。故选B。 【10题详解】 细节理解题。根据第三段“But they didn’t know what actually made learning difficult was the mindless recording of a lecture. Laptops just allowed students to take notes more quickly. (但他们不知道,真正导致学习困难的是对讲座内容的盲目记录,笔记本电脑只是让学生记笔记的速度更快了而已)”可知,作者认为是学生对笔记本电脑的不当使用(盲目记录)导致学习困难。故选B。 【11题详解】 主旨大意题。根据最后一段“Don’t forget the situation when deciding whether or not to allow laptops in your class. All in all, the answer to the question is that it depends. (在决定是否允许学生在课堂上使用笔记本电脑时,不要忽视具体场景。总而言之,这个问题的答案是“视情况而定”)”可知,文章主要观点是课堂上使用笔记本电脑应根据情况决定。故选C。 D I often catch myself asking my questions to AI chatbots with a “please” and a “thank you.” Apparently, I am not alone. A 2024 survey found that approximately 67% of U.S. AI users are also polite and show gratitude toward AI search engines. Some even joked about the cost: if every polite word consumes electricity, the bill must be high. OpenAI’s CEO Sam Altman replied: “Tens of millions of dollars well spent — you never know.” In reality, of course, AI chatbots do not appreciate politeness; they lack consciousness, feelings or social needs. From a purely utilitarian (功利主义的) standpoint, all those pleases and thank yous are just flushing money down the toilet. Still, there may be value that isn’t immediately measurable in showing gratitude toward AI. Psychologists Robert Emmons and Michael McCullough carried out an experiment in which they divided participants into three groups, asking the first to list things they are grateful for, while others listed daily troubles or simply kept journals. After 10 weeks, they found that the first group reported 25% higher happiness levels, stronger inner strength and even better physical health. What’s true of gratitude is also true of kindness and generosity more generally. Experiments at UC Riverside found that performing “five small acts of kindness per week” produced steady increases in happiness. This idea isn’t new. The medieval thinker Maimonides wrote that “it is better for a person to give one coin to a thousand poor people than to give a thousand coins to one poor person.” He believed that regular acts of goodness, like giving charity and expressing gratitude, make us happier in the long run by turning virtue into a habit. So perhaps all of our pleases and thank yous to AI have value, even if they cost OpenAI millions of dollars annually. Showing appreciation, even toward a machine, reinforces positive habits of politeness, patience and empathy (共情). In our increasingly digital and automated world, preserving these human qualities may be more valuable than the cost of a little extra electricity. Ultimately, the beneficiary of our politeness isn’t the AI at all, but ourselves. 12. How does the author introduce the topic in paragraph 1? A. By quoting an expert. B. By telling a story. C. By presenting a phenomenon. D. By defining a concept. 13. What value of gratitude does the experiment in paragraph 3 show? A. It strengthens our bodies and minds. B. It reduces daily stress levels. C. It improves memory and creativity. D. It deepens social relationships. 14. What does Maimonides’ words mainly stress? A. We should show goodness on important festivals. B. One large donation can help more poor people. C. We ought to give money to those in need around us. D. Small and frequent good deeds matter more. 15. What message does the author mainly convey in the text? A. Politeness to AI wastes electricity bills. B. Politeness benefits humans rather than AI. C. AI improves the quality of human life. D. AI learns empathy from human behavior. C 13. A 14. D 15. 根据第一段中“I often catch myself asking my questions to AI chatbots with a “please” and a “thank you.” Apparently, I am not alone. A 2024 survey found that approximately 67% of U.S. AI users are also polite and show gratitude toward AI search engines. (我经常发现自己对AI聊天机器人提问时带着“请”和“谢谢”。显然,我并不孤单。2024年的一项调查发现,大约67%的美国AI用户也对AI搜索引擎保持礼貌并表达感谢。)”可知,作者通过呈现向AI保持礼貌并表达感谢的现象引出文章话题。 【13题详解】 细节理解题。根据第三段中“After 10 weeks, they found that the first group reported 25% higher happiness levels, stronger inner strength and even better physical health. (10周后,他们发现第一组报告称自身幸福水平高出25%,内心力量更强,身体健康状况也更佳。)”可知,实验表明感恩增强了我们的身心。 【14题详解】 细节理解题。根据第四段中“The medieval thinker Maimonides wrote that “it is better for a person to give one coin to a thousand poor people than to give a thousand coins to one poor person.” He believed that regular acts of goodness, like giving charity and expressing gratitude, make us happier in the long run by turning virtue into a habit. (中世纪思想家迈蒙尼德写道:“一个人给一千个穷人每人一枚硬币,比给一个穷人一千枚硬币更好。”他认为,频繁的善行,比如慈善捐赠和表达感激,通过将美德变成习惯,从长远来看会让我们更快乐。)”可知,迈蒙尼德的话强调微小而频繁的善举更重要。 【15题详解】 细节理解题。根据最后一段中“Showing appreciation, even toward a machine, reinforces positive habits of politeness, patience and empathy (共情). In our increasingly digital and automated world, preserving these human qualities may be more valuable than the cost of a little extra electricity. Ultimately, the beneficiary of our politeness isn’t the AI at all, but ourselves.(表达感激,哪怕是对着一台机器,也能强化礼貌、耐心和共情的良好习惯。在我们这个愈发数字化、自动化的世界里,守住这些人类特质或许比多消耗一点电量的代价更有价值。最终,我们礼貌举止的受益者根本不是人工智能,而是我们自己。)”可知,作者认为礼貌有益于人类而非AI。 第二节(共5小题,每小题2.5分,共12.5分) How to overcome procrastination Procrastination (拖延), which is when you put off, tasks that you should be focusing on, can stop even the most promising career in its tracks. For example, have a coffee once you’ve completed a task that you’ve been putting off.____20____ Remember, it can take a while to overcome a bad habit and establish a new routine, so don’t give up. A. It’s a common problem, which can cause many issues. B. The next step is to think about why you’re procrastinating. C. The good news is: there’s a lot you can do to overcome this bad habit. D. The longer you wait, the less likely you are to act on what you’ve learned. E. Everyone is different, so pay attention to when you put off a task or project. F. It can reduce the quality of your work, lead. you to miss deadlines, cause others to avoid working with you, and can even damage your reputation. C“The good news is: there’s a lot you can do to overcome this bad habit. 【17题详解】 根据上文“You might spend a lot of your time working on low-priority(低优先级) tasks from your to-do list. Perhaps you sit down to work on a high-priority project, and then immediately take a coffee break. Or maybe you wait around to be in the right mood to get started on something. E“Everyone is different, so pay attention to when you put off a task or project. 根据下文“Are you overwhelmed (压垮) by the task? Are you so disorganized that you just don’t want to get started? Or, are you a perfectionist who thinks you don’t have enough knowledge or skills to begin? B“The next step is to think about why you’re procrastinating. 【19题详解】 根据上文“Once you understand why you’re procrastinating, come up with some ways to overcome it. Li Ming, a freshman in senior high school, sat alone in the empty classroom, staring at the test paper on his desk. The red marks on it seemed to be laughing at him. 52 out of 150. It was his third math test in a month, and his third failure. He thought about his middle school days, when he used to be one of the top students in his class. His teachers always praised him, and his parents often showed off his grades to their friends. But now, everything had changed. Li Ming put his head down on the desk and closed his eyes. He remembered how excited he had been on the first day of high school. He had promised his mother that he would study hard and get into a good university. But now, that promise felt like a joke. Maybe he was just not smart enough for high school. Maybe he should give up his dream of becoming an engineer. Just then, the classroom door opened. It was Mr. Zhang, his math teacher. Mr. Zhang was a kind man in his fifties, with glasses and a warm smile. He walked over to Li Ming and sat down beside him. “I saw your paper, Li Ming,” Mr. Zhang said softly. “Do you want to tell me what’s going on?” Li Ming hesitated for a moment. Then, all his feelings came out like a flood. He told Mr. Zhang about his frustration, his fear of falling behind, and how he had lost all his confidence. Mr. Zhang listened patiently. When Li Ming finished, Mr. Zhang said, “Let me tell you a secret. When I was your age, I failed my math test too. In fact, I failed three times in a row.” Li Ming looked up in surprise. “Really? But you are a math teacher now!” Mr. Zhang smiled and took out an old, yellow notebook from his bag. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ From that day on, Li Ming did something different every day after school. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】One possible version: Mr. Zhang smiled and took out an old, yellow notebook from his bag. Inside were detailed error notes and daily learning plans he had made in high school. He told Li Ming that failure never meant incompetence, but rather revealed his weaknesses. Many high school students struggled with math at first, and progress always came gradually rather than overnight. He encouraged Li Ming to face his mistakes bravely, sort out confusing knowledge points, and never doubt his own ability. Warmth spread through Li Ming’s heart, and he regained his fading confidence. From that day on, Li Ming did something different every day after school. He no longer felt frustrated or discouraged. Instead, he sorted out incorrect math questions carefully every day, reviewed key knowledge regularly and asked the teacher for help with difficult problems in time. Bit by bit, his math foundation became solid, and his problem-solving skills improved greatly. Months later, Li Ming achieved a satisfying score in the final math test. He finally understood that true growth lies in persisting through difficulties rather than fearing temporary failure. 3.词汇激活 行为类 ①鼓励:encourage /motivate ②提高:improve/promote 情绪类 ①沮丧的:frustrated/upset ②令人困惑的:confusing/puzzling 【点睛】【高分句型 1】He told Li Ming that failure never meant incompetence, but rather revealed his weaknesses.(运用了that 引导的宾语从句) 【高分句型 2】He finally understood that true growth lies in persisting through difficulties rather than fearing temporary failure.(运用了 that 引导的宾语从句) 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 2026年下学期高一年级10月质量检测卷 英语 时量:120分钟 满分:150分 出题人:高一英语组 审题人:彭文韬 第一部分 听力(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共5小题;每小题1.5分,满分7.5分) 听下面5段对话。 1.What will the man probably do this weekend? C My studies once showed that students perform better when they take notes by hand than when they use laptops. D I often catch myself asking my questions to AI chatbots with a “please” and a “thank you.” Apparently, I am not alone. 第二节(共5小题,每小题2.5分,共12.5分) How to overcome procrastination Procrastination (拖延), which is when you put off, tasks that you should be focusing on, can stop even the most promising career in its tracks. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
