(What / Why / When / Who / How many / How long),也有一般疑问句(Is it...?) (3)数量与时长(How many / How long):答案要简短准确,如 Passage 4 题 3 的 For 10 minutes、Passage 5 题 4 的 47%。 (What skill / What is the main purpose):需要把散落的要点收成一句,如 Passage 8 题 1 的 Time management、Passage 5 题 5 的写作目的。 (5)是非判断(Is it...?):先答 Yes / No,再补一句理由,如 Passage 6 题 3 的 No, it isn’t.。 (I→he/she,Sandy→She),时态要跟(问过去用过去时),省略重复部分,但不能省掉要点。 They study in a mixed school. 【点拨2】人物品质(What is ... like)——以Passage 1 题 2 为例:原文写 “Daniel is honest and helpful.”,题干问的是 Daniel 是个怎样的人,答句换成代词 He is honest and helpful. 【点拨3】原因(Why)——以Passage 2 题 3 为例:原文写 “my favourite subject is Art, because it is relaxing”,题干问 Sandy 为什么最喜欢美术,答句写成 She likes Art best because it is relaxing. 【点拨4】时长(How long)——以Passage 4 题 3 为例:原文写 “Taking a 10-minute break every hour is a good way for most people.”,题干问做一小时 DIY 后可以休息多久,答句写 For 10 minutes. 提示:How long 的答案用 For + 时间;How soon 用 In + 时间;两者别混。 【点拨5】是非判断(Is it...?)——以Passage 6 题 3 为例:原文写 “Nobody is able to be perfect at everything.”,题干问一个人是否可能样样完美,答句写 No, it isn’t. 提示:一般疑问句先答 Yes / No,再用一句话补理由(Because nobody is perfect.),只答 No 往往只得一半分。 【点拨6】数据细节(What percentage)——以Passage 5 题 4 为例:原文写 “47% of people said that they finished a DIY project before knowing it was done wrong”,题干问百分之多少的人做完才发现做错了,答句写 47% of people did. 【点拨7】写作目的(main purpose)——以Passage 5 题 5 为例:原文开头写 “Here are three of the biggest mistakes”,全文围绕三类常见错误展开,题干问本文的主要目的,答句写 To tell people about common DIY mistakes and how to avoid them. To tell people about DIY 太笼统。 【点拨8】人物做法(Who)——以Passage 4 题 4 为例:原文写 “the first person to ask for help is your teacher”,后文又提到 classmates who are good at DIY,题干问遇到困难可以向谁求助,答句写 Teachers and classmates. 【点拨9】感受概括(What does ... think of)——以Passage 2 题 5 为例:原文写 “I think my school life is busy but colourful, and I love it very much.”,题干问 Sandy 觉得自己的校园生活怎么样,答句写 She thinks her school life is busy but colourful. • 人称与时态跟着题干变:原文的 I / my 要改成 he / his 或 she / her;问过去的事用过去时。 • Why 用 because 或 To do 回答;How long 用 For + 时间;How soon 用 In + 时间。 Passage 1 Daniel and Simon are good friends. We should not move on to the next text until we understand the first one. When we are studying, we must focus on what we are reading, or we can get nothing from the book while we are reading. We should always ask “why”. If we do not understand something, we should write it down and ask our teachers, parents or friends. Make a clear plan Before starting, list what you need to prepare and how long you need to finish the work. It is a good idea to read the instructions first and check your tools. Find a suitable workspace A clear table or a workbench is good for you to do DIY work. Make sure the place has enough light. Don’t work on your bed, or you might make a mess. Take breaks properly Doing DIY work for a long time makes you tired. Taking a 10-minute break every hour is a good way for most people. You can drink some water or walk around. Ask for help when in trouble If you don’t understand the steps or can’t fix the problem, the first person to ask for help is your teacher. Your classmates who are good at DIY may also be able to give you a hand. 1.How many suggestions on DIY work are mentioned? _______________________________________________________________ 2.Why shouldn’t we do DIY work on the bed? _______________________________________________________________ 3.How long can we take a rest after an hour of DIY work? _______________________________________________________________ 4.Who can we ask for help when we have trouble? _______________________________________________________________ 5.What DIY work do you like best? But DIY doesn't always go according to plan. Nearly 80% of homeowners make a mistake during DIY. Here are three of the biggest mistakes that homeowners often make. Not following safety tips DIY mistakes can be costly and dangerous. Of the survey respondents (调查对象) who once made a big mistake during their DIY projects, half of them said that the mistake can be very terrible, while 44% started a fire or fell off a ladder (梯子). Take your time and follow all safety tips when using tools. Wearing dust masks, safety glasses, hearing protection devices or gloves can keep you away from danger. Using the wrong tools A quarter of people used the wrong tools for a DIY project, which could make the job more difficult and less safe. Many tools are for special uses and materials, so if you use them for other tasks, it is easier for you to get hurt. Always use the right tools for each project, and make sure you know the way to use them. Skipping (跳过) important steps Skipping an important step may make all the DIY work wrong. In the survey, 47% of people said that they finished a DIY project before knowing it was done wrong. Read all instructions carefully first, and make sure you have skills to complete each step before you begin. 1.Why do some people choose to do DIY projects? _______________________________________________________________ 2.Is following safety tips important during DIY? Why or why not? _______________________________________________________________ 3.What problem can using the wrong tools cause in a DIY project? _______________________________________________________________ 4.What percentage of people finished a DIY project without knowing it was done wrong? _______________________________________________________________ 5.What is the main purpose of the passage? _______________________________________________________________ 【答案】 1.Because they can design their house and spend less money. 2.Yes. Apart from heavy schoolwork, many teenagers start to care a lot about how others see them. They often unconsciously compare themselves with people around. Some feel upset because they are not as tall as their deskmates. Some lose confidence when their test scores fall behind top students. Even some worry that they are not good‑looking enough. It is completely natural to have these feelings. However, if you keep on making such comparisons all the time, it will slowly take away your joy and self‑confidence. Every person grows in his own way. Each of us has special gifts. Someone runs fast on the playground. Someone has a talent for drawing. Someone is good at listening and comforting friends. Nobody is able to be perfect at everything. So don’t keep wishing to become another person. Learn to face your own disadvantages bravely. At the same time, try to discover your shining points. Self‑respect is really important for teenagers. It does not mean being proud of yourself. It means you understand your own value. You don’t have to beat everybody in different kinds of competitions. Even tiny progress day after day is also real success. Just be patient with yourself. Remember: your own growth speed is far more meaningful than how fast your classmates grow. 1.What do many middle‑school teenagers often do unconsciously? _______________________________________________________________ 2.What will constant comparison take away from us? _______________________________________________________________ 3.Is it possible for one person to be perfect in everything? _______________________________________________________________ 4.Besides accepting disadvantages, what should we try to find? _______________________________________________________________ 5.Which matters more for us, our own growth speed or classmates’? _______________________________________________________________ 【答案】 1.They compare themselves with others. 2.Our joy and self‑confidence. 3.No, it isn’t. 4.Our own shining points. 5.Our own growth speed. 第一段直接指出:“They often unconsciously compare themselves with people around.”,青少年会无意识地和周围人比较,答案符合10词以内要求。 2.第二段明确指出:“if you keep on making such comparisons all the time, it will slowly take away your joy and self-confidence.”,持续攀比会夺走快乐和自信。 3.第三段明确指出:“Nobody is able to be perfect at everything.”,说明一个人不可能在所有事情上都做到完美,因此回答为否定。 4.第三段明确指出:“Learn to face your own disadvantages bravely. At the same time, try to discover your shining points.”,说明除了接受缺点,还要努力发现自己的闪光点,答案是原文直接信息。 5.最后一段明确指出:“your own growth speed is far more meaningful than how fast your classmates grow.”,说明自身的成长速度更重要,根据原文信息作答即可。 Passage 7 Do you notice that students spend the same amount of time in class, but some get better grades than others? In some ways, it’s because they are different listeners. When having classes, some of them listen carefully. We call them effective (有效的) listeners. Some just daydream or talk to others. They are ineffective listeners. How are some listeners effective? First of all, they don’t care about some poor situations, like an uncomfortable seat or a personal problem. They say “No” to anything that will stop them from understanding and remembering. After leaving a class or meeting, they remember what the speakers said, not the room conditions or the speaker’s accent (口音). Effective listeners always pay attention to the message itself. They try not to be influenced (被影响) by their own feelings or ideas. They do not decide if the thing is boring, too easy, or too difficult before listening. They like getting the challenge of new ideas. To help remember difficult ideas, they also write down important words and phrases. However, ineffective listeners often daydream. They don’t like to hear what they don’t agree with. They are often so busy taking notes that they miss the speaker’s main idea. These listeners leave a speech or a class with a notebook full of words, but the notebook means nothing. Do you wish to do well in your study? Start to be an effective listener. It may help. 1.What do effective listeners do in class? _______________________________________________________________ 2.How many suggestions does the writer give us to be an effective listener? _______________________________________________________________ 3.What do effective listeners say “No” to? _______________________________________________________________ 4.Why do ineffective listeners sometimes miss the speaker’s main idea? _______________________________________________________________ 5.How do you make yourself be an effective listener? (请自拟一句话作答) _______________________________________________________________ 【答案】 1.They listen carefully when having classes. 2.Three. 3.They say “No” to anything that will stop them from understanding and remembering. 4.Because they are often busy taking notes. 5.I should pay attention to the message itself./We should not care about the room conditions or the speaker’s accent. 由文中第一段“When having classes, some of them listen carefully. We call them effective listeners.” 3.由第二段中“They say ‘No’ to anything that will stop them from understanding and remembering.” 4.由第四段中“They are often so busy taking notes that they miss the speaker’s main idea.” Passage 8 Time management is a necessary and useful skill for middle school students. As they grow older, students have more and more things to deal with. Apart from daily lessons and piles of homework, many of them join after-school clubs and help with simple housework at home. So lots of teenagers often complain that their schedule is too full and they never have enough spare time for their favourite hobbies. Actually, good time management does not mean filling every minute with heavy schoolwork. It helps us arrange different tasks wisely and properly. We can finish our school tasks efficiently and still leave necessary time for rest and hobbies at the same time. There are several simple ways to practise this skill. First, make a simple but clear daily plan every morning or the night before. Write down all your tasks and mark which ones are the most important. Try to finish important tasks when you feel energetic in the daytime. Second, learn to say no to extra activities. Do not take part in too many after-school activities if you cannot finish your schoolwork on time. Third, stay away from distractions like short videos and mobile games. They study in a mixed school. Daniel is honest and helpful. He is willing to give Simon help when Simon is in need. He always keeps secrets for Simon. Simon used to be weak in his lessons. He seldom paid attention in class. He never looked through his notes before tests. Later Daniel gave him some learning advice. Simon began to make study plans. He listened carefully in class and reviewed his notes every day. Slowly he became a good learner. Good friendship helps us a lot. We should also develop good learning skills to enjoy our school life. 1.What kind of school do Daniel and Simon study in? _______________________________________________________________ 2.What is Daniel like? _______________________________________________________________ 3.What was wrong with Simon at first? _______________________________________________________________ 4.What did Simon begin to do after getting advice? _______________________________________________________________ 5.What should we do according to the passage? _______________________________________________________________ Passage 2 My name is Sandy. I am a Grade Eight student. I’d like to share my school life with you. I study in a mixed school. My school starts at 8 a.m. from Monday to Friday. We have to wear school uniforms on weekdays. We have seven subjects, and my favourite subject is Art, because it is relaxing. We have many after-school activities. I take part in the Art Club. We meet every Wednesday afternoon to practise drawing. We also have a Reading Week every year. During the week, we can exchange books and share our ideas. We have less homework than students in many other schools. I always finish my homework carefully on time. I think my school life is busy but colourful, and I love it very much. 1.What kind of school does Sandy study in? _______________________________________________________________ 2.When does Sandy’s school start on weekdays? _______________________________________________________________ 3.Why does Sandy like Art best? _______________________________________________________________ 4.What does Sandy do in the Art Club every Wednesday afternoon? _______________________________________________________________ 5.What does Sandy think of her school life? _______________________________________________________________ Passage 3 Students come to school to study. But studying requires the right way, or we may waste time or money. Here are some useful ways to study. The best time to read is in the morning, because the air is fresh and the mind is clear. For that reason, we can get good results. In studying, we must have patience (耐心). If we do not understand a text well, we must read it again. We should not move on to the next text until we understand the first one. When we are studying, we must focus on what we are reading, or we can get nothing from the book while we are reading. We should always ask “why”. If we do not understand something, we should write it down and ask our teachers, parents or friends. We should try every possible way to understand it better and use what we have learned. The ways above will be helpful if we keep them in mind and put them into practice. 1.What does studying require? _______________________________________________________________ 2.Why should we read in the morning? _______________________________________________________________ 3.What must we have when studying? _______________________________________________________________ 4.Why should we keep asking “why” when studying? _______________________________________________________________ 5.Which way will you use in your study? How? _______________________________________________________________ Passage 4 As you know, hands-on homework is a big part of DIY courses. Luckily, here are several suggestions for you to make DIY work easy. (开放式回答,言之有理即可) _______________________________________________________________ Passage 5 Do-it-yourself projects let you design your house and help you spend less money. _______________________________________________________________ Passage 6 When we step into middle school, changes come to our lives little by little. _______________________________________________________________ Passage 7 Do you notice that students spend the same amount of time in class, but some get better grades than others? (请自拟一句话作答) _______________________________________________________________ Passage 8 Time management is a necessary and useful skill for middle school students. These things are fun, but they easily take up lots of your spare time before you notice it. Time waits for no one. It never slows down for busy people. If you learn to manage your time well, you will finish work with less pressure, feel less stressed and enjoy your school life better. 1.What skill is necessary for middle school students? _______________________________________________________________ 2.What does good time management help us do? _______________________________________________________________ 3.When can we make our daily plan? _______________________________________________________________ 4.What may take up much of our spare time? _______________________________________________________________ 5.How will we feel with good time management? _______________________________________________________________ 18 / 18乐思英语 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
