近五年出现的 `look forward to doing`(to 是介词)、`Having visited`、`Having been told`,都是“搭配记忆”与“时间先后”双重设障。 To pass the exam, he studies hard. 动词不定式 to do ⑤ 形容词后的原因/方面状语;⑥ 固定搭配(want / decide / manage / refuse + to do) It is important for us to learn English well. 动名词/现在分词 doing ④ 动名词的固定搭配(enjoy / avoid / finish / mind / practise + doing) I look forward to hearing from you soon. The bridge built in 1998 is very long. 过去分词 done ⑤ 固定搭配中的过去分词(be made / be known / be covered with) Faced with difficulties, we never give up. The book written in French is interesting.(那本用法语写的书很有趣) 错误:~~Written in French is interesting.~~ —— 无逻辑主语,过去分词不能独立作主语。 时间关系 主动语态 被动语态 例句与解析 与谓语动词同时发生 doing being done I saw the net being hauled in. (被动 + 同时) 表示尚未发生、将要发生 to do to be done They set out to explore the site. (主动 + 将来) 发生在谓语动词之前 having done having been done Having finished his homework, he went out to play. I saw the net being hauled in 与 I saw the net hauled in 逻辑主语的确定 适用句法位置 例句 逻辑主语 被修饰的名词 作定语(前置或后置) The man talking with my father is our new neighbor. the man(主动) 被修饰的名词 作定语(前置或后置) The book written in French is interesting. the book(被动) 句子主语 作状语(分词短语作状语) Walking on the road, he saw a bird. he(主动,与谓语同时) 句子主语 作状语(分词短语作状语) Faced with difficulties, we never give up. we(被动) 句子的宾语 作宾语补足语 He had his bike repaired. his bike(被动) 介词后的名词 for sb. to do 结构 It is important for us to learn English well. us(不定式的逻辑主语) ★ 易错提醒|逻辑主语不是“离得最近的名词” 设空处往往位于多个名词之间,命题人最爱在这里设障。 The man talking to the girl is my teacher.此处离空格最近的是 girl,但空格修饰的是 the man,逻辑主语是 the man(人主动说话 → doing)。 例:Walking along the street, he met an old friend. 语义关系 主动形式 被动形式 典型例句与说明 与谓语动词同时发生 doing being done I saw the net being hauled in. (being done 强调“正在进行”) 发生在谓语动词之前 having done having been done Having been told many times, he still made the same mistake. 尚未发生、将要发生 to do to be done They set out to explore the site. 表示目的 to do — To pass the exam, he studies hard. 表示出乎意料的结果 to do(常与 only 连用) — He arrived home, only to find it empty. 修饰名词作定语 doing / to do done The bridge built in 1998 is very long. The rain lasted for days, causing serious floods. He arrived home, only to find it empty. 必然的用 doing,意外的用 only to do。 搭配类型 常见搭配 例句 介词 + doing look forward to doing be used to doing pay attention to doing devote to doing object to doing when it comes to doing get down to doing lead to doing spend time (in) doing have difficulty (in) doing prevent sb. from doing I look forward to hearing from you soon. 动词 + doing(动名词) enjoy doing avoid doing finish doing mind doing practise doing imagine doing admit doing deny doing risk doing miss doing keep doing He avoided making mistakes. 动词 + to do(不定式) want to do hope to do plan to do decide to do agree to do expect to do offer to do refuse to do manage to do pretend to do She decided to take part in the race. 感官动词 + 省略 to 的不定式 see sb. do hear sb. do watch sb. do feel sb. do notice sb. do I saw him run into the room. 使役动词 + 省略 to 的不定式 make sb. do let sb. do have sb. do(let 变被动时不还原 to) She made me wait for an hour. 形容词 + to do(主动表被动) easy / difficult / hard / important / necessary / possible / dangerous / useful + to do The question is difficult to answer. It is + adj. + for sb. to do sth.(形容词修饰事) It is + adj. + of sb. to do sth.(形容词修饰人) It's kind of you to help me. ★ 易错提醒|“to”到底是介词还是不定式符号? look forward to / be used to / pay attention to / devote to / object to 等短语中的 to 全是介词,后面必须接动名词 doing。 正确:I look forward to hearing from you. 错误:~~I look forward to hear from you.~~ 对比记忆:be used to doing(习惯于做)|be used to do(被用来做)|used to do(过去常常做)——同一个 to,三种身份、三种含义。 介词后接 doing 是铁律,不参与主被动判断:look forward to meeting you(主动)与 look forward to being met(被动)都可能成立。 look forward to it 通顺 → to 是介词;want it to do 不通顺 → to 是不定式符号。 1.( Students will love exploring while also gaining invaluable experience by designing and conducting experiments. Sunscreen Experiment Kids often don’t enjoy being told they need sunscreen, so showing its power through demonstration can help them see its value. This science fair project uses simple white beads (珠子) that change color when exposed to UV rays (紫外线) so children can compare the effectiveness of different sunscreen products. Start this experiment by applying some of each sunscreen type on paper and placing both pieces of paper in direct sunlight for several hours. Sundial (日晷) Experiment Using a sundial to tell time is a fascinating science activity that helps students gain knowledge of shadows and the movement of sunlight across the sky. Through this hands-on experiment, students gain an opportunity to see how people in previous times knew time without clocks or watches. Start this experiment by asking students to identify an outdoor spot that receives sunlight all day, placing a flat board there, tracing the shadows onto it and noting where the shadows will fall at certain points of the day. Mineral Experiment Students learn to identify rocks and minerals through this simple experiment. They use a plate to test the hardness of various common minerals. They also observe how these minerals form crystals (晶体) and how they break apart differently from others. This lesson helps students understand the characteristics and uses of different minerals. Students can even form “companies” and compete to mine different types of rocks with specific features. 1.What is the main purpose of using beads in the sunscreen experiment? A.To compare the prices of sunscreen. B.To show the effectiveness of sunscreen. C.To analyze the impact of sunscreen on skin. D.To demonstrate chemical reactions in sunscreen. 2.How do students begin the sundial experiment? A.By building a sundial from beginning. B.By comparing different types of sundials. C.By measuring the length of their shadows. D.By identifying a sunny spot and using a flat board. 3.What does the mineral experiment allow students to do? A.Observe crystal formation. B.Learn geological history. C.Sell rocks they mine. D.Form companies. B The first time I realized that I had a love for sports competitions was during the Field Day in elementary school. Small for my age, and more of a bookworm than a sports enthusiast, I had suffered that special humiliation of being picked last for various gym teams. The Field Day, which focused on individual skills, was different. In the Softball Throw event, I got my first taste of sporting victory. Credit goes to the example of my first coach, my father. He lifted weights every morning at home. He bought us all baseball gloves and hats, and in the warm months, we spent hours playing catch. Come fall, our backyard football games began with passing practice. Once I got to sixth grade and switched to private school, our entire student body was assigned to either the Red or the White team. Throughout the year, we competed against each other in various games and exercises for points. I eventually became president of The Committee of Games, accelerating (加速) my competitive fever. However, in girls’ sports games at my school, I was no star. I also played on the field hockey team and the basketball team. School sports did not bleed into the weekends, as they do today, but at home, playing tennis, skating, skiing and biking were simply normal things we did. During break time, magazines were also quite popular for us teens. These regularly featured articles on physical exercise. Somehow, my college roommate and I took up the habit of completing Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) exercises every day, a practice that continued into my marriage, when we had no spare funds to use to join a gym. So, though it shocks some of our friends, that early foundation evolved (演变) in adulthood into a sports and fitness focus, considered essential even on vacation. I still love reading and the arts, too. As far as I’m concerned, life is the richest with my feet in both worlds. 4.How did the author feel about being picked last for gym teams? A.Responsible B.Confident C.Ashamed D.Amazed 5.What did the author owe her victory in the Softball Throw event to? A.Her advanced sports outfits. B.Her confidence in her sports ability. C.The sports talent passed down from her father. D.The example and training offered by her father. 6.What happened after the author stepped into adulthood? A.She generally exercised on weekends. B.She joined Royal Canadian Air Force. C.She preferred reading to exercising. D.She kept her love for sports. 7.What is the author’s purpose in writing the article? A.To describe how her father built her interest in sports. B.To recall her childhood memories about sports. C.To express her passion for sports and fitness. D.To stress the benefits of physical exercise. C Researchers at the University of Oulu in Finland decided to run an experiment with bumblebees (大黄蜂). They built a special round chamber (室) that was just 1.3 inches tall. The chamber was too small for flight and too tall for bumblebees to touch the top. But before the researchers began testing the bumblebees, they had to let them discover a couple of things. First, there was a round blue mark with a sugary treat on it. At the same time, the researchers let the bees get used to having a small foam (泡沫) ball around. Then, the researchers put the foam ball on top of the blue mark. The bees had to move the ball off the mark to get the treat. This helped the bees understand the ball could be moved. Finally, the researchers presented the real challenge. They moved the blue mark to the top of the chamber. They also made small holes in the floor of the chamber, each big enough to hold the foam ball. One of these holes was just below the blue mark. The researchers were testing to see if the bees could work this out: by rolling the ball into the hole below the mark, they could climb onto the ball to get the treat. About 73% of the bees found the solution. They were able to do this even though they were young bumblebees that had never seen anything like this before. The results suggest that even though bumblebees have very small brains, they can come up with creative solutions to problems they have never faced before. “Bees probably don’t think the same way as humans do, but they probably have more brainpower than many people give them credit for,” study co-author Olli Loukola says. “Most people think insects are reflex (反射)-based machines and that they can’t feel pain. Some people don’t even realize that they have brains. I hope that these results change people’s opinions about bees.” 8.How did the researchers prepare the bumblebees for the final test? A.They trained them to fly in the small chamber. B.They showed them how to push a sugar treat. C.They helped them get used to a small space. D.They made them know the ball was movable. 9.What was the final goal of the bumblebees in the test? A.To roll the ball into a hole. B.To fly to the top of the chamber. C.To use the ball to get the sugar. D.To push the sugar treat off the top. 10.What is the major finding of the experiment? A.Bumblebees perform better after training. B.Bumblebees can solve problems creatively. C.Bumblebees can learn by watching what other bees do. D.Bumblebees can only succeed after repeated failures. 11.What can be inferred from Loukola’s words? A.Bees can bear more pain than humans. B.Bees have larger brains than expected. C.Bees are cleverer than people think. D.Bees think in a way similar to humans. D It’s thought that the first ever Chinese restaurant opened in 1908 in the UK. This establishment was located in Piccadilly Circus, London. Although this was a massive breakthrough for the cuisine, it didn’t pick up popularity for years. Back in the 1950’s the idea of Chinese food in the UK and America was simplistic; tinned Chinese curries (咖喱菜肴), processed foods and confused flavours, like Chinese food on pizza. Takeout restaurants were few and far between and other cuisines with less experimental flavours were favoured by Western palates (味蕾). It wasn’t until the 1960’s and 1970’s that Chinese food began getting the recognition it should earn. More people began arriving on Western soil from China and Chinatown started development in the 1970’s, when chefs began talking about foreign flavours. One essential figure during this period was Kenneth Lo. He wrote more than 30 books on Chinese cooking from the 1950’s to the 1990’s, with over one million copies sold in Britain. Lo also opened a cooking school in London during the 1980’s, which was hailed as (被誉为) Europe’s first Chinese cooking school. Alongside this, people began opening up to the idea of varied flavours but dishes had to make the most of the ingredients available in the West. Chinese chefs began to adapt dishes to use readily available ingredients and also appeal more to Western palates. This ended with the creation of dishes that a Western audience perceives as Chinese that you wouldn’t even find in China. For example, Chop Suey used to be one of the most popular dishes found in the West but you wouldn’t be able to find this dish with ease in China. The same goes for the beloved fortune cookies. Nowadays, more travel of British people to China for business or leisure has exposed consumers to more varieties and both authentic (真正的) and modern Chinese flavours. No longer do those living in the West fear complex, unfamiliar and unaccustomed flavours; instead they accept the contrast and try to include them into their diet. 12.What happened to Chinese food after the first Chinese restaurant opened in London? C.He commented on popular books on Chinese food. D.He travelled across China to learn Chinese cooking. 14.Why are Chop Suey and fortune cookies mentioned in paragraph 4? A.To prove many ingredients were needed to make them. B.To show they were the most popular Chinese dishes in London. C.To show Chinese dishes were adapted to satisfy Westerners’ taste. D.To prove the ingredients used in Western cuisine preparation were simple. 15.What is the Westerners’ attitude towards Chinese food nowadays? A.Concerned. B.Regretful. C.Unclear. D.Receptive. It was a cold winter day. I was on my way to the supermarket when I saw an elderly man 16 on the sidewalk. He seemed to be 17 and was having trouble getting up. 根据第一段中的“I had suffered that special humiliation of being picked last for various gym teams. 根据第三段首句“So, though it shocks some of our friends, that early foundation evolved (演变) in adulthood into a sports and fitness focus, considered essential even on vacation.(因此,尽管这令一些朋友感到惊讶,但这种早期的根基在成年后逐渐演变为对体育和健身的关注,甚至在度假时也被视为必不可少。)” 根据第一段中“The first time I realized that I had a love for sports competitions was during the Field Day in elementary school.(我第一次意识到我对体育比赛的热爱是在小学的Field Day期间)”和最后一段“So, though it shocks some of our friends, that early foundation evolved in adulthood into a sports and fitness focus, considered essential even on vacation.(因此,尽管这让我们的一些朋友感到震惊,但早期的基础在成年后演变成了一种专注于运动和健身的方式,即使在度假时也被认为是必不可少的)”以及文章内容可知,本文主要讲述了作者从小热爱体育,并且在父亲的指导和培训下第一次尝到了运动胜利的滋味。 C Researchers at the University of Oulu in Finland decided to run an experiment with bumblebees (大黄蜂). 根据文章第二段中的“The bees had to move the ball off the mark to get the treat. This helped the bees understand the ball could be moved.(大黄蜂必须把球从标记上移开才能得到食物。 根据文章第三段中的“The researchers were testing to see if the bees could work this out: by rolling the ball into the hole below the mark, they could climb onto the ball to get the treat.(研究人员正在测试大黄蜂能否想出这个办法:把球滚到标记下方的洞里,它们就能爬上球去获取食物。)” 根据文章第四段“The results suggest that even though bumblebees have very small brains, they can come up with creative solutions to problems they have never faced before.(结果表明,尽管大黄蜂的大脑非常小,但它们能对自己从未遇到过的问题想出创造性的解决方案。)” 根据文章最后一段中Olli Loukola 的话“Bees probably don’t think the same way as humans do, but they probably have more brainpower than many people give them credit for.(大黄蜂的思维方式可能与人类不同,但它们的脑力可能比许多人认为的要强)”可知,他意在强调大黄蜂比人们通常认为的更聪明。 D It’s thought that the first ever Chinese restaurant opened in 1908 in the UK. A.It went through great changes. B.It went unnoticed for a long time. C.It was mainly sold as takeout food. D.It started to have a big share of the local market. 13.What did Kenneth Lo do to promote Chinese food? A.He wrote many books on Chinese cooking. B.He worked in a Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. 根据第一段“It’s thought that the first ever Chinese restaurant opened in 1908 in the UK.
