1:That the earth is round is a well-known truth. 2:What he said at the meeting surprised everyone present. (what 作 said 的宾语) 例句 3:It is reported that the new museum will open next month. 1:I believe (that) honesty is the best policy. 2:We are talking about whether we should hold the sports meeting. 3:He asked me where I had spent my holiday. 4:I think it necessary that we should learn a foreign language well. 1:The problem is who can replace him. 2:It looks as if it is going to rain. 3:The reason why he was late is that he missed the early bus. 1:The news that our team has won the match is encouraging. 2:I have no idea when he will come back. 3:He made a suggestion that we (should) put off the meeting. After what seemed a long time, he finally stood up. Whether we will go camping tomorrow depends on the weather. I have no idea how he solved the problem. Can you tell me where is the station? 对:Can you tell me where the station is? 常见句型:It is + 形容词 / 名词 / 过去分词 + that 从句;主语 + think / find / feel / make + it + 宾补 + that 从句。 例句:The new medicine makes it possible that patients with this disease can live longer. The fact that he passed the exam surprised us.(事实=他通过考试) The fact that he told us surprised us.(他告诉我们的那个事实) 规则 7:名词性从句中的虚拟语气 表示"建议、命令、要求、坚持"等意义的动词(suggest / advise / order / command / demand / require / request / insist / desire 等),其后的宾语从句、以及其名词形式(suggestion / order / demand 等)后的表语从句、同位语从句,谓语用"(should +)动词原形",should 可省。 1:The teacher suggested that we (should) read English aloud every morning. 2:His pale face suggested that he was ill. I don"t believe he has finished his homework, has he? What he did he went…;应为 What he did was… 10 形式宾语漏 it think / find / make + it + adj. + that 从句,it 不可省 考法 1 what 与 that 的辨别 【原句】___ makes the book so extraordinary is the creative imagination of the writer.(2013 全国卷) 【规律】主语从句中缺少主语,且意为"……的事物",须用连接代词 what,相当于 the thing that。 【答案】What。 It remains to be seen ___ he will support the plan. 【答案】whether。 Evidence has been found through years of study ___ children"s early sleeping problems are likely to continue when they grow up.(2012 上海卷改编) 【规律】空格前为抽象名词 evidence,空格后为结构完整的句子,解释 evidence 的具体内容,是分隔式同位语从句,用 that 引导。 【答案】that。 As a high school graduate, I am wondering ___ in the coming vacation. A. how can I do B. what I can do C. what can I do D. how I can do it 【规律】宾语从句必须用陈述语序,先排除 A、C;do 为及物动词须带宾语,故选 what(what 作 do 的宾语)。 The reason for the failure is ___ we lacked enough experience. 【答案】that。 We are discussing about ___ we will hold the sports meeting next week. 【规律】介词 about 之后、discuss 之后只能用 whether,不能用 if。 【答案】whether。 The suggestion that the mayor ___ the prizes was accepted by everyone. A. would present B. present C. presents D. ought to present 【规律】名词 suggestion 后的同位语从句须用虚拟语气"(should +)动词原形",should 可省,故选动词原形 present。 I have the impression ___ we have met somewhere before. 【答案】that。 1. ___ we will go camping tomorrow has not been decided yet. 2. What made her interesting most;B. What she was interested most;C. What was most interested to her;ABC这三项表达是错误的;D. What interested her most最让她感兴趣的。 A. whether是否;B. that无词义;C. what什么;D. if是否。There is some doubt+whether引导的同位语从句是固定句型,选项中的whether符合要求。 填空处修饰画家张择端,此处a famous painter是对前面的Zhang Zeduan进一步解释和说明作同位语,可以看成定语从句who was a famous painter, that不能引导非限制性定语从句,故排除D。故选A。 The reason ___ he was late是定语从句,先行词是the reason,在从句中作原因状语,使用关系副词why;___ he got up late是表语从句,从句结构完整,不缺成分,使用只起引导作用的that。 C。 17.C plants may not seem like a normal way to success as a social media influencer. But Kyle Lybarger, born and raised in Alabama, has found unexpected Internet fame by introducing his followers to the overlooked world of southeastern plants. In an interview, Lybarger credits his success to stubbornness, to a positive energy he inherited from his late dad and, largely, to not worrying about what others think. “I was a deer hunter, forester, a man posting about flowers,” he says. “You have to really care the least about what people think of you to do that.” About a decade ago, Lybarger cleared a small area of land in a forest to grow plants whose fruits would attract deer and wild turkeys. He even applied some herbicide (除草剂) and cut down the surrounding trees to let in more light. The next summer, he found the additional sunlight brought a beautiful surprise: an amazing variety of wild flowers. After he posted the flowers on Facebook, a local botanist and science teacher got in touch, confirming some rare and vulnerable species, such as Alabama larkspur. Lybarger suddenly realized that the grassland he had killed was ideal for attracting wildlife itself. This experience inspired him to dive into a body of research indicating that historically the Southeast was home to expansive grasslands as well as those wild flowers. It was then that Lybarger found his mission: to save the remaining grasslands and flora. Together with a botanist from Auburn University, he appealed on all the major social media platforms to forest owners and farmers to stop mowing (修剪草坪) and using herbicides. In 2023 he partnered with an artist to design a T-shirt featuring the rare plants, hoping to raise public awareness and help pay for conservation. The project ended up raising over $100,000 in less than a year, most of which went to his conservation efforts. “My biggest contribution comes through education on social media, influencing people to grow the native plants that best support declining pollinators (授粉昆虫) and other insects,” he says, “One person, one yard, one-tenth of an acre can make a bigger difference than you think.” 1.According to Lybarger, he mainly owes his success to ________. D.To explain the ambition of his team. 4.What message does Lybarger want to convey in the last paragraph? A.Virtue is its own reward. B.Many drops make a shower. C.Roses given, fragrance in hand. D.Wisdom begins with admitting your ignorance. B In Spain, children and their families are riding bikes to school together in large groups. The program is called "bicibus” or bike bus. In Barcelona, the program started recently with only five children and grew quickly to hundreds of riders. This fall, children in the Eixample area of Barcelona have a new way to get to school on Fridays — they ride their bikes. In September, a group of five children began biking to school with their parents on Fridays. Soon the group grew to 150 or more. The bike bus begins around 8:25 every Friday morning. The route it will follow is always posted ahead of time, so everyone knows where to join. Instead of riding in bike lanes (道) or on sidewalks, the bicibus takes over the entire street. The commute (通勤) of these bikers takes about 25 minutes. And with the ever-growing cycling and skating kids taking part in this bike bus culture, the local police are helping stop traffic by riding in front of the bicibus and behind it. This further makes the parents happy that the additional security means their children will travel' safely to school With music playing and bike bells ringing, the bicibus feels like a party. "The best part of the bicibus is that we ride along and pick up my friends, and we ride together,” nine-year-old Maria Pitarch says. Some parents have made the bicibus the way they get to work on Fridays. Parents are hoping that the bicibus will help change ideas about how people can get around in the city. They want the city to create wider, kid-friendly bike lanes that are separate from car traffic. They point out that the bicibus also helps cut down on pollution. Recently, pictures and videos of the Eixample bicibus got a lot of attention on the social media site. Many people pointed out what a simple idea it is, and how easy it is to get started. Already some other areas in Barcelona are also organizing bike buses. 5.What can we learn about the bicibus? A.It has a flexible schedule. B.Its path is known in advance. C.It takes over the whole sidewalks. D.Its safety is a concern for parents. 6.Why are parents glad to see the police there? A.Fewer cars run on Fridays now. B.The extra guards keep kids safe. B.To praise the performance of the kids. C.To encourage readers to join the bike bus. D.To show the enjoyment kids get from the program. 8.What does the text mainly talk about? A.The heavy traffic in the city center. B.The rise of the bike-sharing market. C.A growing bike-to-school program. D.The safety rules for young cyclists. C Comfort food makes a person feel good. Food high in sugar or fat tends to improve mood by stimulating the brain’s reward system. So it makes sense that many of us may turn to food for comfort in times of stress. There’s some fascinating research that examines food as a source of comfort. However, the most interesting thing about this research may be that foods are far less comforting than we tend to believe they are. Traci Mann, a professor of psychology, and her colleagues conducted a series of studies with college students. The researchers examined how much comfort foods actually improve mood. They provided students with one of the three foods that they had indicated were their top personal comfort foods. After producing a negative mood by having them watch movie clips designed to increase their sadness, anger and anxiety, the researchers offered the students their comfort food. They had to assess how the students felt before and after they were supposedly comforted by ice cream, pizza or whatever they had indicated they typically ate to feel better. All of the students completed the study on two separate occasions: once when they were able to eat their comfort food and once when they were able to eat another food they liked but they wouldn’t call a comfort food. The researchers found that comfort food did improve students’ moods — but only by a little bit and not more than the other food they liked. The take-home message from the studies? While the comfort food may make the person feel better for the time being, it does little to address emotional problems. Of course, everyone can indulge (沉湎) in a comfort food from time to time, but overall, aim for these instances to be the exception rather than the rule. 9.What was the focus of the studies about comfort food? A.The level of its effects. B.The principles of its effects. C.The bad sides of its effects. D.The significance of its effects. 10.Why were movie clips arranged during the research? A.To amuse the students. B.To add a little more appeal. C.To relieve the students’ stress. D.To create a negative atmosphere. 11.What did the studies imply about the effect of comfort food? A.It works slightly. B.It has a lasting impact. C.It makes no difference. D.It matters more with films. 12.What does the author intend to do in the last paragraph? A.To state a fact. B.To introduce a rule. C.To offer a suggestion. D.To add a background. D Hailey Magee rushed home from school crying after seeing that she’d received an A-minus on her grade report card. Growing up, she had learned that the way to receive recognition and love from family members and teachers was to be a high achiever. So to Magee, that A-minus felt like a failure. “I was heart-broken,” she said. “In that moment, I felt like my self-worth as a human had fallen far below what it would have been if I’d gotten an A or an A-plus.” Magee’s turning a good grade into a cause of her inferiority (自卑) is a textbook example of a growing trend in recent years: perfectionist (完美主义者) behavior. Perfectionism is now a growing cultural phenomenon. High levels of perfectionism were linked with depression, anxiety, eating disorders and self-harm. The constant stress of attempting to be perfect can also leave people stressed and suffering from headaches and insomnia (失眠). Many parents today feel a sense of competitiveness that they may push onto their kids, whether by pressuring them to get perfect grades so they can get into top schools or engaging them in after-school activities that might look good on a college application. But if a child is only rewarded for high achievement, over time they learn that their value as a person depends on being perfect. Instagram, Facebook and other social media platforms also increase unhealthy comparisons. “It’s a real problem — those social media images end up serving as standards that people can compare themselves to and a perfectionist is always trying to be as good as others,” Sherry, a clinical psychologist, said. And it’s never been harder to keep up with other people, because today we are constantly bombarded (轰炸) with seemingly perfect images of other people’s lives. Eventually Magee learned that she had to let go a little and allow herself to show up with all her imperfections. She eventually learned to trust that she could show up, not being perfect, and still feel valued. She said, “I can be imperfect and everything can be fine!” 13.How did Hailey Magee feel when she got an A-minus? A.Satisfied. B.Excited. C.Disappointed. D.Uninterested. 14.Perfectionism may result in the following problems EXCEPT ________. A.negative feelings B.high work efficiency C.increased stress levels D.physical problems 15.What can we infer from Sherry’s words? A.Social media users should avoid posting perfect-looking photos online. B.Perfectionists tend to measure themselves against others’ online images. C.People can easily live up to the perfect lives shown on social media. D.Social media is designed to bring people closer to their real-life friends. 16.What is the best title for the passage? A.Parental Pressure: The Root of All Student Anxiety B.Hailey Magee’s Story: From Straight A’s to Failure C.The Role of Social Media in Creating Feelings of Imperfection D.The Dangers of Perfectionism and the Road to Self-Acceptance Zhi Yueying is a village teacher who has been working for almost four decades. After he posted the flowers on Facebook, a local botanist and science teacher got in touch, confirming some rare and vulnerable species, such as Alabama larkspur. Lybarger suddenly realized that the grassland he had killed was ideal for attracting wildlife itself.(第二年夏天,他发现额外的阳光带来了一个美丽的惊喜:各种各样令人惊叹的野花。 根据第四段中“In 2023 he partnered with an artist to design a T-shirt featuring the rare plants, hoping to raise public awareness and help pay for conservation. The project ended up raising over $100,000 in less than a year, most of which went to his conservation efforts.(2023年,他与一位艺术家合作设计了一款印有稀有植物的T恤,希望提高公众意识并帮助支付保护费用。 根据最后一段中“‌“My biggest contribution comes through education on social media, influencing people to grow the native plants that best support declining pollinators (授粉昆虫) and other insects,” he says, ‌“One person, one yard, one-tenth of an acre can make a bigger difference than you think.”(“我最大的贡献来自社交媒体上的教育,影响人们种植最能支持数量下降的授粉昆虫和其他昆虫的本土植物,”他说,“一个人、一个院子、十分之一英亩,能产生比你想象更大的影响。”)” 根据第二段“The route it will follow is always posted ahead of time, so everyone knows where to join.(它要走的路线总会提前公布,所以每个人都知道在哪里加入)”可知,bicibus的路线是提前知晓的。 6. 根据第三段“the local police are helping stop traffic by riding in front of the bicibus and behind it. This further makes the parents happy that the additional security means their children will travel safely to school(当地警察在自行车巴士前后骑行,帮忙拦截车辆。 根据第四段“The best part of the bicibus is that we ride along and pick up my friends, and we ride together(自行车巴士最棒的地方就是我们一路骑行,接上我的朋友们,一起骑车)”可知,引用Maria的话是为了展现孩子们从这项活动中获得的乐趣。 8. 根据第一段“In Spain, children and their families are riding bikes to school together in large groups. The program is called “bicibus” or bike bus. In Barcelona, the program started recently with only five children and grew quickly to hundreds of riders.(在西班牙,孩子们和家长们成群结队一起骑车去上学。 C 9.A 10.D 11.A 12.C 【解析】本文介绍关于慰藉食物的研究。 根据第二段“After producing a negative mood by having them watch movie clips designed to increase their sadness, anger and anxiety(研究人员播放电影片段,营造悲伤、愤怒、焦虑的负面情绪)”可知,播放影片片段是为了制造负面情绪氛围。 11. 根据第三段“The researchers found that comfort food did improve students’ moods — but only by a little bit and not more than the other food they liked.(研究人员发现慰藉食物确实可以改善学生情绪,但效果微弱,并不比其他他们喜欢的食物更好)”可知,慰藉食物的效果轻微。 12. 根据最后一段“Of course, everyone can indulge (沉湎) in a comfort food from time to time, but overall, aim for these instances to be the exception rather than the rule.(当然,人们偶尔可以享用慰藉食物,但总体来说,尽量只把它当作特例,不要习以为常)”可知,作者在本段给出建议:不要过度依赖于安慰食物来解决情绪问题。 根据第一段“Hailey Magee rushed home from school crying after seeing that she’d received an A-minus on her grade report card. Growing up, she had learned that the way to receive recognition and love from family members and teachers was to be a high achiever. So to Magee, that A-minus felt like a failure. “I was heart-broken,” she said. “In that moment, I felt like my self-worth as a human had fallen far below what it would have been if I’d gotten an A or an A-plus.”(Hailey Magee看到自己成绩单上得了A-后,哭着从学校冲回家。 根据第二段“High levels of perfectionism were linked with depression, anxiety, eating disorders and self-harm. The constant stress of attempting to be perfect can also leave people stressed and suffering from headaches and insomnia 根据第四段“It’s a real problem — those social media images end up serving as standards that people can compare themselves to and a perfectionist is always trying to be as good as others(这确实是个问题——社交媒体上的图片最终成了人们用来比较自己的标准,而完美主义者总是试图让自己变得像别人一样出色)”可推知,完美主义者倾向于拿他人的网络形象衡量自己。 16. 根据第二段“High levels of perfectionism were linked with depression, anxiety, eating disorders and self-harm. The constant stress of attempting to be perfect can also leave people stressed and suffering from headaches and insomnia 不断追求完美的压力还可能导致人们感到紧张,出现头痛和失眠等问题)”及第四段“Eventually Magee learned that she had to let go a little and allow herself to show up with all her imperfections. She eventually learned to trust that she could show up, not being perfect, and still feel valued. She said, “I can be imperfect and everything can be fine!”(最终,Magee明白自己必须学会放手,允许自己以全部的不完美展现出来。 由此可知,“The Dangers of Perfectionism and the Road to Self-Acceptance(完美主义的危害与自我接纳之路)”适合作本文最佳标题。 A. rich富裕的;B. remote偏远的;C. nice美好的;D. fascinating迷人的。根据下文“before going to a more remote village school in the mountains”可知,下文使用了比较级more remote,说明泥洋村本身位置偏远,二者形成程度上的递进。 18. A. imagined想象;B. predicted预测;C. requested要求;D. doubted怀疑。 A. guides向导;B. students学生;C. officials官员;D. teachers教师。根据上文“When Zhi Yueying, then 19, went to the _______ Niyang village in Yichun city, Jiangxi province, to work as a village teacher in 1980(空里填remote)”可推知,来到村子从事相关工作的是教师群体。 20. A. left离开;B. stayed停留;C. retired退休;D. settled定居。根据下文“Zhi, though, was there for more than thirty years”可知,支月英长期留在村里;由此可推知,此前来的老师都很快离开了。 21. A. tradition传统;B. tourism旅游业;C. education教育;D. business商业。根据文章开头“Zhi Yueying is a village teacher who has been working for almost four decades.” A. demanded要求;B. awarded授予;C. assessed评估;D. replaced取代。根据空后的“as a model poverty fighter by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council”可知,她被授予官方荣誉称号。 24. A. happened发生;B. failed失败;C. refused拒绝;D. applied申请。根据上文“Zhi wanted to become a teacher since childhood”可知,支月英从小立志当老师;由此可推知,她申请去乡村小学任教。 25. A. support支持;B. opposition反对;C. push推动;D. belief信念。 A. race赛跑;B. cycle骑行;C. hike徒步远行;D. drive驾车。 A. borrow借;B. sell售卖;C. purchase购买;D. find找到。根据上文“Located amid the mountains, the village was very poor and far from any town.” A. slowly缓慢地;B. actively积极地;C. casually随意地;D. hurriedly匆忙地。根据空后的“sometimes I was left behind too much and was scared to tears”可知,支月英会被其他人远远落在后面,说明她走路的速度比别人慢。 29. A. stuck卡住;B. referred提及;C. agreed同意;D. adapted适应。根据上文支月英说的话“I had never walked on a mountain road before, so in the beginning, I walked much more _________ than others, sometimes I was left behind too much and was scared to tears.(空里填slowly)”可推知,她初到山区时生活艰难;再结合空前的转折词But可知,她后来适应了这种生活。 30. A. made up for弥补;B. cared for照顾;C. watched out for提防;D. searched for寻找。 A. parents父母;B. neighbors邻居;C. relatives亲戚;D. classmates同学。根据空后的“migrated to other places to work”可知,外出务工的是留守儿童的父母。 三、 32.singers 33.greatly 34.the 35.combining 36.has written 37.which 38.with 39.peaceful 40.known 41.death 【解析】文章主要介绍了中国知名音乐人刘欢的生平经历、艺术成就以及他的离世给中国乐坛带来的损失。 32. 时间状语Over the past decades是现在完成时的标志,主语he是第三人称单数,助动词用has。 37. 四、 参考范文1(推荐阅读) Dear Peter, I’m glad to hear that you plan to take up a hobby in the new term. A.his passion about native plants B.the development of internet industry C.the spiritual support from his late dad D.his freedom from others’ judgement 2.What led Lybarger to discover the value of the wild flowers? A.His being brought up in Alabama. B.His being a sociable forester. C.His working experience as a hunter. D.The feedback from a local botanist. 3.Why does the writer mention the money in paragraph 4? A.To indicate the difficulty of their project. B.To show the artistic value of their design. C.To prove the success of the project. C.Children can ride faster with help. D.The police teach children traffic rules. 7.Why does the author mention Maria Pitarch in paragraph 4? A.To introduce more about the bike bus.
