短文填空
I once read a story about a man with an amazing memory. He could remember every single day of his life in perfect detail, and recall exactly he had for lunch on a usual Tuesday ten years ago. I was amazed, but also a bit sad. My own memory felt more like a (forget) squirrel, always busy but often losing its nuts when I needed them most.
This feeling became a real problem during our biology class. We had to. (memory) the whole life cycle of a frog, from egg to tadpole to adult. The list of steps and words seemed endless. My project partner,Leo, noticed my trouble. “Just repeating the words won’t stick,” he said. “We need to make it easy to see.” He suggested we turn the difficult process a simple, funny story. He even drew a step-by-step graph that looked like a funny comic, where a tiny egg grew legs and jumped off the page. Turning boring facts into a lively story proved to be a much more (effect) way to learn.
On the day of our report, nervousness took me. I often happen to forget things under pressure. As Leo began speaking, my mind (go) through a terrible empty moment. The first word was gone. But then,I looked at our poster. (see) the silly frog image we had drawn in the middle of its change immediately brought back the right word - “metamorphosis”. The rest of the facts came back quickly. Our project was great success!
That experience _ (complete) changed my view of memory. I stopped seeing it as a fixed ability and began viewing it as a skill. A good memory isn't about a magic brain; it's about finding the right key—a story, a picture, a (feel)-to unlock the information you’ve carefully kept. Now, in every subject,1 look for that key.
