Unit1 and Unit2 teach us two important lessons for teenage growth: personal independence and money management. Modern teenagers are creative and energetic, but many still need guidance on self-management.
Independent teenagers never waste pocket money blindly. They know that wealth does not come easily. They will make a careful budget 1 they spend their spare money. They save coins in piggy banks and refuse expensive goods 2 the things are not necessary. This good habit shapes their responsible personalities.
At the same time, today’s teenagers are full of creativity. Many young performers show amazing talent in puppetry and art. Their works inspire people around them. Educators always say that teenagers will achieve more 3 they keep creative thinking and independent living habits.
However, some teenagers spend money quickly 4 they lack correct values. They chase fashionable T-shirts and expensive small items just because others have them. They will feel regretful 5 they find their savings run out soon.
We should understand that real wealth lies in good qualities rather than expensive goods. We can enjoy cheap goods on sale, 6 we must control our desire for blind shopping. We learn to manage money well 7 we can live a steady and independent teenage life.
Creativity makes teenagers special, 8 reasonable money management makes teenagers reliable. You cannot grow into an excellent young person 9 you combine creativity with self-discipline. Every small good habit we form today will influence our future life 10 we grow older.

空格前“saves her pocket money”是行为,空格后“visit different history museums”是目的。
空格前“makes a small budget”是行为,空格后“will not spend too much”是制定预算的目的,因此应用so that引导目的状语从句。
前句“visitors only look for expensive treasure”与后句“Lisa thinks the real treasure is history itself”形成了鲜明的对比(转折关系),因此用But表转折。
空格后“not open your heart to history”是条件,“you cannot feel its magic”是结果,因此用If(如果)引导条件状语从句。
空格后“meets some difficult mysteries of history”是让步条件,主句“look for information”表示不受此条件影响,因此用Even if表让步。

I decided to earn money by myself. First, I helped my neighbour Mr Chen walk his dog after school, and he 2 me $5 a week. Every coin went into my dream tin.
When my aunt gave me $50 for my birthday, she said, "Spend it 3 ." I put all of it into the tin. Saving money was not 4 , because there were so many things I wanted to buy. Every time I wanted to 5 , I looked at the picture of the bike on the tin and kept going.
Three months later, I had $110— 6 enough for the bike. When I rode it home, my parents were 7 and proud of me. "I learned that it’s not the 8 of money that matters, but what you do with it," I told them. Now I have two dream tins — one 9 the bike repairs and one for a summer trip. He also learns that it’s useless 6 oneself with others. Everyone has different advantages. If he 7 a clear plan, he can make good use of his money. He will never 8 the good habit of careful spending.

Our school recently held a flea market I 1 carefully for it, but the activity didn’t go as I had hoped. However, I learned a lot from this 2 .
“Don’t miss it! Ancient-style bookmarks (书签) on 3 !” I stood in front of my stall (摊位), shouting loudly. However, most classmates only gave my stall a quick look and they seemed not 4 in my bookmarks at all. Looking at my bookmarks, I felt disappointed—why didn’t anyone stop to look at them?

Unit2 talks about money and treasure, while Unit3 shows us the beauty of the past. Real treasure is not always gold or expensive goods. Sometimes it lies in ancient history and cultural remains.
Lisa is a history‑lover. She saves her pocket money in her piggy bank 1 she can visit different history museums. Before she goes out, she always makes a small budget 2 she will not spend too much.
Last summer, she travelled to an old kingdom in the northwest. 3 she arrived at the local museum, she saw plenty of wonderful cultural remains. Some archaeologists dug into old tombs years ago and found these valuable objects. Detailed reports and multimedia shows help visitors learn about that special historical 4 .
Some visitors only look for expensive treasure. 5 Lisa thinks the real treasure is history itself. Ancient silk, old statues and palace remains all carry the stories of the past. 6 you do not open your heart to history, you cannot feel its magic.
While some cartoons create fun stories about ancient times, they are not the same as real archaeological facts. We should use our imagination, 7 we also need to respect real research results.
Lisa will not stop learning. 8 she meets some difficult mysteries of history, she will look for information on websites or ask researchers for help. She believes that she will know more about the past 9 she keeps studying.
Money can buy many things, but it cannot buy history. When we truly understand the past, we will have a deeper sense of 10 .
