B Zhang Qian has spent the past four years driving rural revitalization (乡村振兴). The 23-year-old is chairwoman of Lishui Pengpengyun E-commerce Co. , and founder of the “One Square Meter Livestream” charity project in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province. Raised in the countryside by her grandparents, she learned early that poor marketing often resulted in high-quality produce selling for less than fair prices. It pushed Zhang to make a difference. In 2021, Zhang entered Lishui Vocational and Technical College to study e-commerce (电子商务). Seeing the promise of livestreaming (直播), she began creating short clips and training livestreamers. By day, Zhang focused on her studies; by night, she practiced her livestreaming skills. “During my first livestream, I had only seven viewers, and my hands were shaking,” Zhang shares. Her hard work paid off. In 2022, she started a studio, developed a 15-person media team, and began selling local products online. The livestreams finally attracted thousands of viewers. In 2024, she founded Pengpengyun E-commerce to train livestreamers and sell agricultural products through livestreaming. To increase sales, Zhang started the “Farmers Direct to Livestream” model. By building a standardized grading system for agricultural products, she improved the products’ conditions and standards. She designed livestream shows using local dialects and storytelling to make the viewers feel like they were on the farm, and to make the products more attractive. Thanks to these efforts, her team achieved over 2.8 million yuan in online sales in 2024. Sales of agricultural products made up 40 percent of total sales. Zhang also started the “One Square Meter Livestream” charity project, through which she offered one-on-one livestreaming guidance to disabled (残疾的) farmers, stay-at-home mothers and college students. She has helped more than 100 people start their e-commerce businesses. Zhang has also trained more than 500 people in livestreaming skills, with a focus on helping women start businesses. “Doing business is not just for myself, but for helping more people to achieve success,” Zhang says. 24. What drove Zhang to start her e-commerce journey? A. Her wish to make a better living. B. The support from her grandparents. C. Her interest in livestreaming technology. D. The unfair situation facing local farmers. 25. What can be inferred about Zhang’s early livestreaming? A. She won wide attention at once. B. She had a hard start but kept on trying. C. She received training from experts. D. She focused on selling agricultural products. 26. What does the “Farmers Direct to Livestream” model aim to do? A. To offer help to disabled farmers. B. To improve the quality of local products. C. To make agricultural products sell better. D. To help train more full-time livestreamers. 27. Which of the following can best describe Zhang? A. Talented and quiet. B. Brave and polite. C. Helpful and creative. D. Honest and confident. C A new study shows that forests where aspens are the main trees face a lower risk of serious fires than those with mostly conifer (针叶) trees. It suggests that planting more suitable trees is a good way to protect local people when serious wildfires happen more often. A single aspen tree catches fire easily because its outside skin is thin. However, large groups of connected trees — forests made up of the same kind of trees with similar age and structure (结构) — are better at fighting fires than conifer forests and can work as a firebreak. Researchers think the resistance (抵抗) has several explanations, including the more water in the aspens’ leaves and the absence of burnable resin (树脂). Flavie Pelletier, one of the researchers, hoped to find out whether large groups of aspen trees have kept their fire-resisting ability as climate change makes fire seasons more serious. She put together new maps of most common tree types with satellite maps of wildfires. She found that aspen trees were more than twice as common at the edges (边缘) of fires as inside them, while conifers were equally present in both places. Having more aspen trees also lowered the amount that burned during a fire. “This proves that aspen has an effect on fire edge formation and can slow the fire down,” she said. A forester, Anthony Taylor, said the study does a good job of examining a fact that native people and foresters have understood. “The idea that broadleaved trees burn less has been known, but knowing something through experience is different from testing it,” he said. The research supports planting aspens around at-risk communities. However, a single line of trees will not work — the stands must be 300 to 1,000 feet deep. Pelletier hopes her work will help push forestry companies to stop killing broadleaved trees. “There needs to be less of a war on aspen,” she said, noting that protecting aspens could reduce the risk of losing large numbers of trees to fire. 28. What are aspen-covered forests like compared with conifer forests? A. They experience fewer big fires. B. They produce more resin. C. They need more protection. D. They catch fewer plant diseases. 29. What makes large groups of aspens fire-resistant? A. Their uniform structure. B. Their thick outer covering. C. Their water-rich leaves. D. Their average height. 30. What did Pelletier’s research find about aspens? A. They are popular with locals. B. They can slow the spread of wildfires. C. They can live well in many places. D. They are equally present with conifers in forests. 31. What can be the best title for the text? A. Aspen Trees: A Natural Firebreak B. Climate Change: A Reason for Wildfire C. Conifer Trees: A Major Fire Risk D. Wildfire Research: A Promising Future D According to new research, people gave the highest scores to stories made by AI that they were told had been written by humans and were unable to tell the difference between human- and AI-created stories. The study, led by researchers at Villanova University, suggests that many people’s ability to tell contents (内容) made by AI apart is poor. In this research, adult participants (参与者) read three short imaginary stories. They were written either by real people or by ChatGPT. In the first test, 1,682 participants read one story. Participants were told either the true information or wrong information about whether the story came from a human or AI. Then the participants scored how good the story was and how much fun they thought it was. In the second and third tests, there were 424 and 481 participants separately. Each of them read one story from a human and one from AI. They didn’t know who wrote them and needed to find out the writer of each story. The results showed that stories made by AI got higher scores for quality and interest than human-written ones. What’s more, participants gave even higher scores to AI-made stories when they thought humans had written them. Only 39.93% of participants could correctly tell AI-made content in the second test, and the rate (比例) was 51.97% in the third one. Dr. Deena Weisberg, senior author of the study, said, “In our research, participants gave top scores to stories that they believed were from humans, though AI actually wrote them. This shows a preference for stories written by real people. We think creative writing needs special human advantages, such as emotional (情感的) understanding and real-life experience, which leads people to belittle AI’s abilities.” As for why AI-made stories got better scores, Weisberg explained, “AI usually writes in a clearer and simpler way, so readers can follow it easily. But stories written by humans are often less clear. Sometimes their real meaning is not shown openly. For example, AI usually shows the main ideas straight in its stories. Unlike that, human writers let readers get the meaning from the characters’ words and actions.” 32. What is the primary finding of the new research? A. AI is good at copying human stories. B. Most stories we read are written by AI. C. Human-written stories are more interesting. D. AI-created stories are likely to get higher scores. 33. How were the second and third tests different from the first one? A. Participants were asked to rewrite two stories. B. Participants received only stories written by AI. C. Participants needed to grade the quality of stories. D. Participants were given no information about writers. 34. What does the underlined word “belittle” in paragraph 4 most probably mean? A. Uncover. B. Undervalue. C. Enlarge. D. Review. 35. What advantage does AI writing have over human writing? A. It makes understanding easier. B. It carries more emotions. C. It improves readers’ thinking ability. D. It has more hidden meanings. 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 China has published its plan for building a leading sports nation during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026—2030). 36 . The classroom was very quiet, with only the sound of pens moving across paper. While most students sat up straight and took careful notes, Fahim dropped deeper into his seat. He looked at the blackboard, but the numbers and graph lines just looked like a big mess. To get away from the confusing (难以理解的) symbols on the blackboard, he drew little pictures in his notebook. Soon, his eyes fell on the test paper that had just been given back. He got only four points out of ten. The score troubled him deeply. Fahim crumpled (弄皱) the paper and pushed it into his schoolbag, wishing he could hide his sadness together with it. After class, Fahim was called to the teacher’s office, with the crumpled test paper in his hand. He was ready to get blamed (责备). To his great surprise, Ms. Smith spoke to him in a soft voice. For the first time, Fahim dared to share his true feelings. He told the teacher honestly about his confusion and worries. He felt so comfortable to speak out his thoughts. Ms. Smith looked at him for a moment and then noticed the crumpled paper. She asked if Fahim enjoyed reading books. Fahim nodded, wondering what the teacher was going to do next. Soon, Ms. Smith took a book out of her bag. Its title was A Mind for Numbers. The book was written for students who liked art and English but feared numbers. Fahim picked up the book and turned it around slowly. On the back cover, there was some information about the author, who was not good at this subject when she was at school. However, she made great progress years later by thinking in a different way. With a soft smile, Ms. Smith told Fahim that math could be explained in a way that he could follow. 注意: (1)续写词数应为150个左右; (2)请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Taking the book home, Fahim felt a little hope rise in his heart. _____________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Two months later, it was time for another test. ___________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________________ 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $这是英语课听力部分,该部分分为第一第二两节。注意回答听力部分时,请先将答案标在试卷上。听力部分结束前,你将有两分钟的时间将你的答案转涂到答题卡上。现在是听力试音时间。Hello. international friends club, can I help you? In my opinion, both choices have value, but the key is balance. Studying during breaks may help us review, but it can also make us tired. On the other hand, a short rest can refresh our minds and help us focus better. However, if we spend the whole break chatting, we might waste time. So I believe a short break is necessary, but we should also make good use of every minute. A wise learner knows when to work hard and when to relax. 第二节(满分25分) One possible version: Taking the book home, Fahim felt a little hope rise in his heart. In the following days, Fahim was glued to the book. It explained math in a simple and interesting way, connecting it to art and patterns he already loved. He followed the author’s advice and started drawing pictures to understand difficult math problems and connecting numbers with real-life stories. Slowly but surely, the confusing symbols on the blackboard began to make sense. He no longer drew pictures in class but focused on listening and taking notes, turning fear into curiosity and making steady progress. Two months later, it was time for another test. When the math paper was handed out, Fahim took a deep breath and picked up his pen with confidence. As he read through the questions, he was surprised to find that they didn’t look like a foreign language anymore. He remembered Ms. Smith’s encouragement and the book’s methods, using them to work out each problem step by step. When the results finally came out, Fahim scored eight out of ten. He smiled brightly, knowing that with the right methods and a willing heart, he could overcome any difficulty. 听力原文 Text 1 M: It’s good to see the sun again. W: Better than yesterday. It rained all day. They say it’s going to be cloudy this afternoon. Text 2 W: I think I’ll give this afternoon’s movie a miss. I don’t want to go to the cinema by bike or subway on such a cold day. M: Don’t worry. I’ve already called a taxi. W: Great! Text 3 M: How much is this card? W: It’s normally $15. It’s on sale today, 20% off. M: OK. I’ll take it. Text 4 W: Can you tell me about your training? M: Well, we train very hard, especially before a big game. All players have to stay together with our coach on the football field — sometimes for weeks. W: It’s all worth it. I’m sure you will score a goal in the game tomorrow. Text 5 W: Good morning, sir. Is there anything I can do for you? M: Yes, I’d like to fix my car lights. Last night, I couldn’t see anything and almost hit a stone. Text 6 W: Hey, Dad’s birthday is coming. Any ideas for a gift? M: I was thinking about a football. He loves watching football games. W: Hmm, but he doesn’t play anymore now. How about a suit? He needs one for work. M: A suit? That’s a bit boring. What about a book? He likes reading. W: A book sounds nice, but a suit is more practical. Let’s go to the clothes shop to have a look. M: OK. We can go to the clothes shop first, and then maybe the bookstore. W: Sounds like a plan. We can also have a cup of coffee after shopping. M: Perfect. Let’s head out now. Text 7 W: Hi, Tom. Do you have any plans for the weekend? M: Hey, Lucy. There’s an activity at the City Museum. Would you like to go with me? W: Sounds interesting. But I’m busy on Saturday — I have a piano lesson in the morning. M: How about Sunday? I’m free the whole day. We could have lunch near the museum. W: Sunday works. And I also want to check out the new concert in the park next week. M: Let’s focus on the museum first. I’ll book the tickets tonight. How about meeting at eight o’clock? W: Eight? A bit early. Can we make it ten? M: How about nine? That gives us time to walk around before lunch. W: No problem. I’ll meet you there then. Text 8 W: Hey, Tom. Are you ready for the big basketball match on Friday? M: Not really, Sarah. I’m still worried about it. We lost to City School last year, and I really don’t want that to happen again. W: Don’t worry, Tom. Our coach said we need to work harder. I suggest we go into training this afternoon after school. I think we should practice passing today, especially our teamwork. M: That’s a good idea. But I thought we were going to watch the match video in the classroom instead. W: We’ll do that tomorrow. Today let’s just focus on practicing on the field. I’ve already booked the field for two hours. It’s all set and ready for us. M: Perfect. I’ll bring my new basketball shoes. See you at four. Text 9 M: Hi, Emma. M: I heard about it. Mrs. Lee from the community center first suggested it, and she’s been organizing everything since last week. She’s really done a wonderful job. W: She’s really great. She said we need to pick up rubbish and collect recyclables separately. That way we can help the environment. M: That sounds good. I’ll help with collecting recyclables on Sunday morning. I think it’s more important to sort them properly. What about you, Emma? W: I’ll join too. I’m going to pick up rubbish in the eastern part of the park. It’s the dirtiest area with the most waste. M: I agree. People really need to be more careful about where they throw their rubbish. W: Yeah. I think it’s a good chance for us to make our neighborhood better and cleaner. We should do this every month. M: Yes. Let’s meet at the park gate at 8 o’clock tomorrow morning. Text 10 W: Good morning, everyone. Today I’d like to share with you how to learn English well.
