班级 __________ 姓名 __________ 日期 __________
教材对接:pp. 108—109 建议课时:40分钟
本课探究:How can we turn a vague tip into advice that a reader can actually use?
学习目标:分析WHAT—WHY—HOW结构;补充实例与步骤;写一篇80—100词的记忆方法短文并完成有依据的修改。
一 这条建议能照着做吗 5分钟
Teen Post wants tips for remembering things. Compare these two openings.
A: Memory is very important. We should work hard. There are many good ways. We should use a good way.
B: Try a word web when you keep mixing up words on the same topic. Put the topic in the centre and connect related words to it.
1. Which opening helps the reader take action? ______ Underline the words that tell the reader what to do.
2. What does the better opening still need: a reason, a greeting, or a long history of memory? __________________
二 拆开范例看作者的选择 8分钟
Read the model on p.108. Mark its three functions: WHAT(是什么), WHY(为什么有用), HOW(怎样做).
功能
从课本范例找信息
3. WHAT

5. HOW
Start with _______________; add _______________; use _______________.
6. Why is “As a result” useful in the model? It links __________ to __________.
写作提醒:介绍一种方法即可。把一种方法讲透,比把五种方法都报一遍名字更有用。
三 选一种方法并把步骤补齐 9分钟
7. Choose one real learning problem. Select a suitable method and plan your paragraph.
Problems: I mix up related words. / I remember facts but cannot explain them. / I forget a short list. / My own problem: ______________________

EXAMPLE 一个真实示范

____________________________________________________________________________
需要时取用的表达
One way to remember … is to … / This helps us … because … / For example, … / First, … Next, … Finally, … / If you forget …, … / Check whether you can …
避坑:advice通常不可数:some advice / a piece of advice;remember the words,不写remember of the words;有时间或事实依据再写definitely,不轻易保证“永远不会忘”。
四 写给真正需要帮助的读者 12分钟
9. Write 80—100 words for Teen Post. Give your tip a short title. Include WHAT, WHY, HOW and one concrete example. Choose the expressions you need; do not force every phrase into the paragraph.

参考答案与修改示范
1. B。可划出Try a word web / Put the topic in the centre / connect related words。它提供了可操作动作。A大多只有笼统评价。
2. A reason。开头已有WHAT和部分HOW,还需要让读者理解该方法可能怎样帮助记忆。
3. A visual summary of what we have learnt。4. the connections between things or ideas;all the key points。5. a central topic;tree-like branches;key words and phrases。
6. It links seeing the key points together to remembering them better. As a result突出前因后果,而First、Then主要表示步骤先后。
7. 示例规划:Problem—mixing up related words;Method—a word web;Reason—see connections;Steps—write the topic, add related words, connect them;Example—memory, brain, active, improve。也可选择复述、编故事等,判断依据是方法能否对应问题。
8. 示例:Write a word on one side of a card and its meaning on the other. Look at the word, say the meaning, and then turn the card over to check. Put the words you missed aside and try them again later. 具体动作和检查方式缺一不可。
第9题参考短文 约95词
A word web for new words
One way to remember new words is to make a word web. It shows how words connect, so they are easier to review together. First, write a topic in the centre of a page. Then add related words around it. For example, put “memory” in the centre and add “brain”, “improve” and “forgetful”. Next, connect “active” with “brain”. Use short phrases, not long sentences. Finally, cover the web and try to draw it again. Check what you missed and add those words back. This gives you a clear starting point for your next review.
方法、理由、步骤和例子构成完整链条。范文只作写后参照,不要求学生逐句仿写。标题不计入80—100词。
参考答案与写作评价
10. 开放题。示例:Partner’s question—What do I put on each side of the card? Original—Make useful cards. Revised—Write the word on one side and a short example sentence on the other.
11. 自查不按“全部勾选”评分,应与短文实际表现一致。若缺少WHY或示范,先补内容;若方法完整,再处理连接词、拼写与标点。
