根据Pricing部分的“a three-night stay for two with a two-course dinner starts from £ 295. Every extra bed costs 20% of the total.(两人住三晚(含两道菜晚餐)起价295英镑。每增加一张床要付总价的20%)”可知,一对夫妇带着他们7岁的儿子住3晚要付的钱是£295+£295*20%=£354,故选A。 【2题详解】 细节理解题。根据Available activities部分的“You can also catch the Christmas lights show in Regent Street or listen to the carol (圣诞颂歌) singers at St Martin-in-the-Fields.(你也可以在Regent Street观看圣诞彩灯表演,或者在St Martin-in-the-Fields听颂歌)”可知,游客可以在Regent Street欣赏迷人的灯光。 根据Booking部分“Choose your dates and fill in your private information, like driving licences, passports and so forth for your later hotel registration.(选择您的日期并填写您的私人信息,如驾驶执照,护照等,以便您稍后登记酒店)”可知,预定时添加基本的个人信息对于以后的登记入住是必要的。故选B。 B One summer night, a boy felt himself lifted from bed by his father. Dazed with sleep, he saw stars flashing across the heavens. “What is it?” the child whispered. “Shooting stars. They come every year in August.” Decades have passed, but I remember that night still, because I was the fortunate boy whose father believed a new experience was more important than an unbroken night’s sleep. Some parents like my father have the gift of opening doors for their children. This art of adding dimensions to a child brings the reward: the marvelous moment when the spark bursts into a flame that will burn brightly on its own one day. At a Golf Association tournament, a ten-year-old girl played creditably. “How long have you been interested in golf?” someone asked. “I got it for my ninth birthday,” she said.“ Your father gave you a set of clubs?” “No,” she said, “he gave me golf.” I have a friend, a psychiatrist, who says there are two types of people: those who think of life as a privilege and those who think of it as a problem. The first type is enthusiastic and energetic. The other type is suspicious and self-centered. And he adds, “Tell me about your childhood and I can tell you which type you are likely to be.” The real purpose, then, of trying to open doors for children is to build eager and outgoing attitudes, which is the most valuable legacy we can pass on to the next generation. But why don’t we work harder at it? Probably because sometimes we don’t have the awareness or the selflessness or the energy. And yet, for those of us who care what becomes of our children, the challenge is always there but the opportunities also come repeatedly. Many years have passed since that night. And next year, when August comes with its shooting stars, my son will be seven. 4. Why does the author mention the girl in Paragraph 2? A. To show parental impact on children’s passion. B. To suggest hobbies always start from the small. C. To highlight the importance of diverse experiences. D. To prove true passion usually arises from the reward. 5. What do the underlined words “adding dimensions to” in Paragraph 2 mean? A. Setting an example for. B. Broadening the horizons of. C. Providing attentive care for. D. Narrowing the possibilities of. 6. What will the author’s psychiatrist friend agree with? A. Stability in upbringing builds confidence. B. Parenting styles requires professional guidance. C. Childhood experience determines adult happiness. D. One’s personality is related to childhood experiences. 7. What can we infer from the last paragraph? A. The author is always addicted to shooting stars. B. It is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to motivate kids. C. The author will go to see shooting stars with his son. D. It is impossible to unlock kids’ potential without eagerness. A 5. B 6. D 7. 根据第二段第二句话“This art of adding dimensions to a child brings the reward: the marvelous moment when the spark bursts into a flame that will burn brightly on its own one day. (这种为孩子增加维度的艺术带来了回报:当火花爆发成火焰的奇妙时刻,总有一天会自行燃烧)”以及倒数三句话““How long have you been interested in golf?” someone asked. “I got it for my ninth birthday,” she said.“ Your father gave you a set of clubs?” “No,” she said, “he gave me golf.”(“你对高尔夫感兴趣多久了?”有人问。“这是我九岁生日的礼物,”她说。“你父亲给了你一套球杆?”“不,”她说,“是他给了我高尔夫。”)”可知,小女孩的梦想就是从父亲给她的球杆开始的。由此可推知,第二段提到的小女孩是为了展示父母对孩子激情的影响。故选A。 根据第二段第一句话“Some parents like my father have the gift of opening doors for their children. (像我父亲这样的一些父母有为孩子敞开大门的天赋)”以及划线短语后面的句子“the marvelous moment when the spark bursts into a flame that will burn brightly on its own one day(当火花爆发成火焰的奇妙时刻,总有一天会自行燃烧)”可知,有些父母在生活中有一种天赋,就是为孩子们敞开大门,开阔他们的视野。 根据第三段最后一句话“And he adds, “Tell me about your childhood and I can tell you which type you are likely to be.”(他补充道:“告诉我你的童年,我就能告诉你你可能是哪种类型的人。”)” 根据最后一段第一句话“The real purpose, then, of trying to open doors for children is to build eager and outgoing attitudes, which is the most valuable legacy we can pass on to the next generation.(因此,试图为儿童敞开大门的真正目的是建立渴望和外向的态度,这是我们可以传递给下一代的最有价值的遗产)”以及最后一句话“And next year, when August comes with its shooting stars, my son will be seven.(明年,当八月的流星来临时,我的儿子将七岁)”可知,作为父母,我们应该试图为儿童敞开大门,让他们建立渴望和外向的态度。 C。 C In habitats across the planet, animals periodically drop everything to walk, fly or swim to a new place. Wildlife such as whales and geese learn migration paths by following their parents. Others, including small songbirds, gain the distance and direction of their migration within their genetic code. And some animals use a combination of genetics and culture to guide their migration. Another group of migrators does not quite fit either model, and researchers have only recently started to figure out how they find their way. Take the Cory’s shearwater, an oceangoing sea bird that migrates over the Atlantic every year. The young do not migrate with their parents, so culture cannot explain their journeys. And the exact paths vary wildly from individual to individual, making genetics equally unlikely. Cory’s shearwaters are long-lived, rarely producing young successfully before age nine. This leaves an opening for learning and practice to develop their migration patterns. Researchers call this the “exploration-refinement”, and until now it has been hypothetical (假设的) because of difficulties in tracking migratory animals’ movements. But a team of researchers has done that by attaching small geolocators to more than 150 of the birds aged four to nine. They found that younger birds traveled longer distances, for longer periods, and had more diverse paths than older birds. “We finally have evidence of the ‘exploration-refinement’ for migratory birds,” says Letizia Campioni, who led the study. Younger Cory’s shearwaters are able to fly just as fast as the adults— but they do not, suggesting that the young do more exploring, which gradually fades as they mature and settle into a preferred course. Although it may seem less efficient than other strategies, “exploration refinement could be beneficial to birds and other organisms (生物) in a rapidly changing world due to unpredictable man-made changes,” says Barbara Frei. “It might be safer to repeat a behavior that was recently successful than to rely on patterns that were perfected long ago but might no longer be safe.” 8. What is the first paragraph mainly about? A. It describes animals’ habitats. B. It talks about migration models. C. It compares different species. D. It introduces a tracking technology. 9. What does the underlined word “this” in paragraph 3 refer to? A. The opening for learning and practice. B. The unique living habit of Cory’s shearwaters. C. The way Cory’s shearwaters form their migration patterns. D. The process scientists track Cory’s shearwaters’ movements. 10. What does Letizia’s study find about the younger Cory’s shearwaters? A. They travel as much as adult birds. B. They move in a predictable manner. C. They lower the speed for exploration. D. They look for a course with their parents. 11. What can we conclude from the last paragraph? A. Man-made changes make migration easier. B. Animals make a safer journey via a fixed track. C. Course exploration contributes to birds’ adaptability. D. A combination of strategies assures migration success. B 9. C 10. C 11. 根据第一段“Wildlife such as whales and geese learn migration paths by following their parents. Others, including small songbirds, gain the distance and direction of their migration within their genetic code. And some animals use a combination of genetics and culture to guide their migration.(鲸鱼和鹅等野生动物通过跟随父母学习迁徙路线。其他鸟类,包括小型鸣禽,通过遗传密码获得迁徙的距离和方向。有些动物利用基因和文化的结合来指导它们的迁徙。)”可知,本段主要讲述动物迁徙的模式。故选B。 【9题详解】 词句猜测题。根据文章第三段“Cory’s shearwaters are long-lived, rarely producing young successfully before age nine. This leaves an opening for learning and practice to develop their migration patterns.(Cory的海鸥寿命很长,很少能在9岁之前成功繁殖后代。这为学习和实践发展它们的迁移模式留下了空间。)”和“Researchers call this the “exploration-refinement”(研究人员称之为“探索-精炼”。)” 根据文章第四段“Younger Cory’s shearwaters are able to fly just as fast as the adults— but they do not, suggesting that the young do more exploring, which gradually fades as they mature and settle into a preferred course.(小的Cory海鸥能飞得和成年海鸥一样快——但它们没有,这表明年轻的海鸥会进行更多的探索,随着它们成熟并适应一个更喜欢的航线,这种探索会逐渐消失。)” 根据文章最后一段“Although it may seem less efficient than other strategies, “exploration refinement could be beneficial to birds and other organisms (生物) in a rapidly changing world due to unpredictable man-made changes,” says Barbara Frei.(Barbara Frei说,尽管与其他策略相比,这种方法似乎效率较低,但“在一个由于不可预测的人为变化而迅速变化的世界中,探索改进可能对鸟类和其他生物有益。”)” C。 D One recent report found that adults in the US check their phones, on average, 344 times a day — once every four minutes — and spend almost three hours a day on their devices in total. The problem for many of us is that one quick phone-related task leads to a quick check of our email or social media, and suddenly we’ve been trapped into endless scrolling (刷屏). What we do know is that the simple distraction of checking a phone or seeing a notification (提示) can have negative effects. This isn’t very surprising; we know that, in general, multitasking harms memory and performance. One of the most dangerous examples is phone use while driving. One study found that merely speaking on the phone, not texting, was enough to make drivers slower to react on the road. It’s true for everyday tasks, too. Simply hearing a notification “ding” made participants of another study perform far worse on a task — almost as badly as participants who were speaking or texting on the phone during the task. In one recent study, for example, researchers asked participants to either put their phones next to them so they were in sight (like on a desk), nearby and out of sight (like in a bag or pocket), or in another room. Participants then completed a series of tasks to test their abilities to process and remember information, their problem-solving ability, and their focus. They were found to perform far better when their phones were in another room instead of nearby — whether in sight, powered on or not. That held true even though most of the participants claimed not to be consciously thinking about their devices. Our brains may be subconsciously hard at work in preventing the desire to check our phones, or constantly monitoring the environment to see if we should check our phones (e. g. waiting for a notification). Either way, this distracted attention can make doing anything else more difficult. The only “fix”, the researchers found, was putting the device in a different room entirely. 12. What did the recent report in Paragraph 1 find? A. Multitasking is very dangerous. B. Notification is always heard. C. People are addicted to mobile phones. D. People like doing phone-related tasks. 13. According to paragraph 2, __________. A. speaking on the phone doesn’t slow drivers’ reactions. B. multitasking tends to reduce mental performance. C. hearing a “ding” affects people less than texting. D. phone distraction only matters while driving. 14. What should you do to prevent the desire of checking phones? A. Do anything more difficult. B. Use phones to do right things. C. Monitor the environment around. D. Stay away from phones entirely. 15. What would be the best title for the text? A. How Do We Avoid the Distraction of Phones? B. Why Are People Fond of Using Mobile Phones? C. What Should We Do When Buying Mobile Phones? D. How Do We Do Research by Using Mobile Phones? C 13. B 14. D 15. 根据第一段“One recent report found that adults in the US check their phones, on average, 344 times a day — once every four minutes — and spend almost three hours a day on their devices in total.(一份近期报告发现,美国成年人平均每天查看手机344次,每四分钟一次,每天总共在电子设备上花费近三个小时。)” 根据第二段“This isn’t very surprising; we know that, in general, multitasking harms memory and performance.(这并不令人十分意外;我们知道,一般来说,多任务处理会损害记忆力与表现。)” 根据第五段“The only “fix”, the researchers found, was putting the device in a different room entirely.(研究人员发现,唯一的“解决办法”就是把电子设备完全放到另一个房间。)” 通读全文,尤其根据第二段“What we do know is that the simple distraction of checking a phone or seeing a notification (提示) can have negative effects.(我们确实知道,查看手机或看到通知这样简单的分心行为可能会产生负面影响。)”和第五段“The only “fix”, the researchers found, was putting the device in a different room entirely.(研究人员发现,唯一的“解决办法”就是把电子设备完全放到另一个房间。)” Learning a new language is always exciting at the beginning, but keeping up the motivation over a long period can be really challenging. Frankly speaking, Anthony was neither the brightest student, nor the most athletic in the school, but he had a real enthusiasm for learning and always approached his studies with strong curiosity. Every morning, he would greet the school day with a wide and genuine smile that brightened the entire classroom. His classmates couldn’t help but be influenced by his optimistic attitude towards life, which helped him become very popular and also form many friendships at school. One unexpected day, the teacher announced a surprise test. It was a subject that Anthony had struggled with. Even more unfortunately, he was not fully prepared. As the papers were handed out, Anthony’s heart sank, and his mind went blank, with a wave of anxiety and nervousness flooding over him. He looked around, hoping for some comfort and encouragement, but all he saw were the focused expressions of his classmates. The silence in the room was deafening, broken only by the occasional sound of turning papers. As he began to write, Anthony realized that he knew only a fraction (小部分) of the answers. His mind raced, trying to recall anything that might help him, but in vain (徒劳的). Obviously, he was lost. Just then, a piece of paper flew across the room and landed on Anthony’s desk. Para. 1 It was a note from one of his friends, offering him the answers. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Para. 2 With a deep breath, Anthony picked up the note and slowly tore it into pieces. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】Para. 1 It was a note from one of his friends, offering him the answers. Anthony recognized the handwriting instantly — it was from his best friend, Mike. His heart pounded as he stared at the neatly written solutions. A part of him longed to copy them and avoid embarrassment, but memories of his teacher emphasizing honesty flashed through his mind. He glanced at Mike, who gave him an encouraging nod. However, Anthony recalled how his parents always told him that true success came from hard work, not shortcuts. The conflict within him grew fiercer. Para. 2 With a deep breath, Anthony picked up the note and slowly tore it into pieces. He raised his hand and quietly informed the teacher about the incident. Though his voice trembled, he felt a wave of relief. To his surprise, the teacher praised his integrity and allowed him extra time to complete the test. Anthony answered the remaining questions calmly, doing his best. When the results came out, he scored lower than usual but earned everyone’s respect. That day, he learned that courage and honesty were far more valuable than perfect grades. 词汇激活 行为类 ①认出:recognize/identify ②赞扬:praise/think highly of ③告知:inform/tell ④回忆:recall/remember 情绪类 ①惊讶:surprise/amazement ②欣慰:relief/comfort 【点睛】【高分句型 1】He glanced at Mike, who gave him an encouraging nod.(运用了who引导的非限制性定语从句) 【高分句型 2】When the results came out, he scored lower than usual but earned everyone’s respect.(运用了when引导的时间状语从句) 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 沈阳市第120中学2026-2027学年度上学期 高一年级第一次质量监测 英语 第一部分 听力(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共5小题;每小题1.5分,满分7.5分) 听下面5段录音。 1. B One summer night, a boy felt himself lifted from bed by his father. C In habitats across the planet, animals periodically drop everything to walk, fly or swim to a new place. D One recent report found that adults in the US check their phones, on average, 344 times a day — once every four minutes — and spend almost three hours a day on their devices in total. D. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
