When I was young, I struggled with body image and disordered eating. I used disordered eating to deal with my emotions and feel more in control of my life. Afterwards, I'd over-exercise to punish my body for what I'd eaten, especially if I thought the amount too much.
But later I realized how unhealthy my behaviors were. A happier life was possible, in which I'd hang out with friends and join in enjoyable exercises in my free time easily. I wanted to have a wonderful life filled with amazing memories. In response to it, I stopped punishing my body and began to treat it right. My body and I had done nothing wrong in eating and enjoying food, but my life would be happier once I was healthier.
Once I became healthier, I dove back into exercise. I attended Zumba classes with an old roommate. I realized how cool it was and how privileged I was that my body could do so many fancy dance moves. I even became one of the winners of the technique award.
We live in a world where feeling okay about our eating and body image is close to impossible sometimes. But a life free of diet culture and body judgment is the one that everyone should fight for. I'm so grateful that I'm able to exercise my body through dancing, and here I want to celebrate other particular body's abilities.

四. 段落续写
Inspired by my own experience, I came up with an idea to hold a sharing activity. I gathered a group of people who had struggled with body image, inviting them to tell their stories in a warm, judgment-free space. One by one, they spoke of their doubts and tears, and I shared my own journey. Then we moved together in a simple Zumba dance. At first they were shy and hesitant, but as the music filled the room, their movements loosened and their laughter returned. No one judged anyone; we only cheered for each other.
Seeing the relaxed smiles on their faces, I knew something meaningful had happened. Women who had arrived with lowered eyes now stood tall, dancing freely and embracing one another. One participant said with tears, "This is the first time I've dared to dance in front of people." My heart swelled with warmth. I realized that the sharing and acceptance we offered each other had done more than any harsh judgment ever could. In that room, we had all learned to love the bodies that carried us through life—and that was the most beautiful dance of all.
