As the world’s largest real-time ticketing system, 12306 serves over 700 million users. The “super brain” behind this system is Shan Xinghua, a leading railway researcher. In 1996, Shan joined a new team with the task of creating a national ticketing system. Over the years, she has led the system through several big events.
The system was put into use in 2011, and it faced its biggest challenge during the 2012 Spring Festival travel rush. It broke down several times because of the heavy traffic. Faced with this problem, Shan told her team, “We must find a way, no matter how difficult it is.” Working around the clock, they successfully improved the system, allowing it to deal with over 1.4 billion daily visits and doubling its daily ticket sales capacity (能力).
In 2017, Shan and her team started the e-ticket reform (改革) in Hainan. Passengers could enter the station through facial scanning (面部扫描). Shan found the slow speed was the most serious problem with the system. Then Shan and her team spent several months developing a new facial recognition system. With it, passengers can pass through the ticket gate in about 1.5 seconds.
Shan said, “Technology should serve society and improve people’s lives.” To make travel more convenient, Shan and her team always listen to passengers’ voices. They hope to improve their services and satisfy more people.

C
①Have you ever had someone believe in you when you didn’t believe in yourself? That’s the power of inspiration. When we inspire others, we don’t just help them — we also grow as people.
② Inspiring others is very meaningful. For example, when you encourage a classmate feeling down, you learn to be patient and kind. Also, watching someone you’ve encouraged achieve their dreams is a wonderful feeling. When you give your time and energy out of kindness, you feel proud of yourself because you realize you’re making a positive difference in the world.
③Inspiration gives people a sense of purpose and hope. It makes them feel like they’re part of something bigger than just living day to day. When people feel inspired, they become more confident and energetic to do meaningful work. A student with inspiration may put more effort into learning. In a team or business, inspiration can lead to better results and stronger teamwork.
④ Inspiration helps leaders build strong relationships and learn more about themselves. Great leaders inspire others by sharing their values and future plans. When you inspire people, you create trust. Team members start believing in each other’s abilities. This trust builds lasting relationships. Some people might not have become friends without your leadership. At the same time, inspiring others helps you discover your own strengths, weaknesses, and values. You also learn how well you communicate. If people don’t respond (反应) well, you can improve your way of leading.
⑤You don’t need to be famous to inspire people. Start by being a good example. Listen more than you talk. Show real care for others. Give people a clear goal and direction. And remember — true inspiration comes from focusing on others, not yourself. When you inspire someone, you give them hope. And hope can change everything.
62.Why does inspiring others make us feel good?
A.We can bring good changes to the world. B.We will never feel weak or upset in daily life.
C.We can get more energy from different teams. D.We can easily become great leaders in a group.
63.According to paragraph 3, what may an inspired student do?
A.Make more friends. B.Join more clubs.
C.Study harder than before. D.Change personal values.
64.How does the writer support his opinion in Paragraphs 2 and 3?
A.By comparing things. B.By telling stories.
C.By listing numbers. D.By giving examples.

A.①②/③④/⑤ B.①/②/③④⑤
C.①/②③④/⑤ D.①②③/④/⑤

Making healthy choices is important. Eating the right food, staying active and getting enough sleep can help your body in lots of ways.
Picking the right food gives you the energy to do all the things you love. It also helps your body grow and your brain develop. Eating things such as fruits, vegetables and whole grains (全谷物) is good for your health. However, being healthy doesn’t mean you can never eat snacks. It’s about making sure you have a balanced diet. “When you choose a balanced diet, you’ll have more energy, feel better and be able to do the things you love,” Lucy Upton, a children’s dietitian (营养学家), says.
Another healthy choice you can make is being active—whether it is sports, going for a walk or playing a game. Being active helps your brain make special chemicals. These chemicals can relax your body and calm your mind. Being active can help your body and your mind stay fighting fit. Feeling fit can make you feel better and more confident about yourself. When you play a ball game with others, you can even make new friends.
Finally, getting enough sleep is also very important. Sleep helps your body grow. While you sleep, your brain is busy building new connections and your body is repairing itself. Preparing properly for bedtime helps you stay asleep. A good way to tire yourself out is by getting plenty of exercise during the day, like walking to and from school or doing sports. Take an hour or two to rest or relax after a period of activities before bed. Don’t drink tea or coffee, and turn off phones, computers and video games. Try reading a book instead.
Remember: making healthy choices is the key to keep your body and your mind fit and strong. Let’s get started now!

阅读下面短文,简略回答问题。
How to Make Your School a Better Place
Every student has the power to make their school a better place. You don’t need to be a student council member to make a difference. Small actions can create big changes.
First, be kind to others. Smile at your classmates, help someone who is struggling, and say “thank you” to the cleaners and cafeteria workers. A little kindness goes a long way. Second, keep the school clean. Pick up litter when you see it and put rubbish in the right bins. A clean environment makes everyone feel better. Third, speak up when you see something wrong. If you see bullying or unfair treatment, report it to a teacher. Your voice can protect someone in need.
Also, get involved in school activities. Join a club, volunteer for events, or help organize a charity drive. The more you participate, the more you can contribute. Finally, be a good listener. When your classmates share their worries or ideas, listen with an open mind. Sometimes, all a person needs is someone who will listen.
Remember, a school is not just a building—it’s a community. Every student is a part of it, and every student can help make it a better place.
71.What are two small acts of kindness mentioned in the passage?
72.Why is it important to keep the school clean?
73.What should you do if you see bullying at school according to the passage?
74.What does the writer suggest students do to get involved in school?
75.What is a school according to the last paragraph?
【答案】71.Smile at classmates and say “thank you” to the cleaners and cafeteria workers. 72.Because a clean environment makes everyone feel better. 73.Report it to a teacher. 74.Join a club, volunteer for events, or help organize a charity drive. 75.A school is not just a building—it’s a community.
【导语】本文主要讲述了学生可以通过五种具体行动改善校园环境,包括友善待人、保持清洁、勇于发声、积极参与活动以及做倾听者。
【详解】71.第二段指出“Smile at your classmates, help someone who is struggling, and say ‘thank you’ to the cleaners and cafeteria workers”,因此答案可从文中列举的善举中任选两种。
72.第二段指出“A clean environment makes everyone feel better”,因此保持学校清洁能让每个人都感觉更好。
73.第二段指出“If you see bullying or unfair treatment, report it to a teacher”,因此应向老师报告。

Communicating well plays an important role in our daily life and study. Many teenagers fail to get along well with others because they don’t know how to communicate properly. Good communication can help us build good relationships and solve problems smoothly.
Last year, I had a problem with my deskmate. He used to be very friendly to me, but he suddenly became 31 and hardly talked to me. I felt confused and upset. I didn’t know what I did wrong. At first, I planned to keep silent and let things stay the same.
My English teacher noticed our strange relationship. She told me that misunderstanding is common among students and we should never 32 communication. She advised me to talk with my deskmate 33 and bravely clear up the misunderstanding.
I followed the teacher’s 34 . One afternoon, I took the first step to talk to my deskmate. I 35 why he was unhappy with me. Finally, I knew the truth. He thought I looked down on him because I refused to study with him several times.
I explained to him patiently and told him I just needed quiet time to finish my difficult tasks. My deskmate 36 understood my situation and said he was too sensitive at that time.
Since then, we have become close friends again. We often study together and 37 our feelings with each other. This special experience teaches me a deep 38 : communication is the key to close the distance between people.

In 1996, Shan joined a new team with the task of creating a national ticketing system. Over the years, she has led the system through several big events.
