根据 Walk 1—— The Natural World 部分中的“Walk Duration: 6 hours”、 Walk 2——Introduction to Hillwalking 部分中的“Walk Duration: 5 hours”、 Walk 3———— Moonlight Under the Stars 部分中的“Walk Duration: 3 hours”和 Walk 4———— Photographic Walk in Kilbrannish Forest 部分中的“Walk Duration: 1.5 hours”可知, Photographic Walk in Kilbrannish Forest 用时最短,为 1.5 小时。故选 D。 22. Walk 3———— Moonlight Under the Stars 部分中的“A torch along with suitable clothing is essential for walking in the dark. Those who are dressed unsuitably will not be allowed to take part.” 故选 A。 23. 根据 Walk 1—— The Natural World 部分中的“Date and Time: Saturday”、 Walk 2——Introduction to Hillwalking 部分中的“Date and Time: Sunday”、 Walk 3———— Moonlight Under the Stars 部分中的“Date and Time: Saturday”和 Walk 4———— Photographic Walk in Kilbrannish Forest 部分中的“Date and Time:Sunday”可知,这四条徒步路线的共同之处是都安排在周末。故选 D。 B 24. 根据第一段中的“Now, I'm a last-minute planner and seldom travel with any plan.” 根据第三段中的“When time is short, you want to see as much as possible”可知,新旅行者详细规划行程,是为了在有限时间内尽可能多地游览。 26. 因此选A. 根据第一段中的“A new study, which was published... 分析画线词所在句“Mom's voice triggers a strong and unique reaction(母亲的声音 强烈又独特的反应)”和后文“The mother's voice no longer leads to the same neurological response(神经反应)”可知, lead to 与 trigger是近义词, trigger 相当于 result in(导致,引发)。故选 A。 34. 根据第三段 Daniel Abrams所说的话:“Just as a baby knows to pay attention to his or her mother's voice, an adolescent knows to pay attention to novel voices”可知,就像婴儿知道要关注母亲的声音一样,青少年自然而然地会被新的声音所吸引,而不是故意忽视母亲的声音。故选 C。 35. 由最后一段最后两句:“These changes could be normal parts of healthy social development, allowing teenagers to better understand the ideas of others. These are changes that help teens form connections... socially confident outside their families.” D项“这种早期发现有助于老师及时提供帮助”承接上文 find students in trouble early;后文 As a result 引出最终成效,逻辑链条完整。 41. look back 意为“回顾、回想”,与后文“how fast it all went”以及全文回忆大学生活的语境一致。A. shoot up“迅速长高;猛增”;B. walk around“四处走动”;C. calm down“冷静下来”,都不符合“回顾过去”的意思。 42. A. prevent“阻止”;C. skip“跳过”;D. leave“离开;留下”,都不能与 time 构成“让时间停住”的意思。 44. 前文“can't wait to graduate”和后文“I want to turn back time”形成明显对比,所以是 the opposite。 A. otherwise“否则”;B. therefore“因此”;D. though“虽然;不过”,逻辑都不通。 46. B. broken down“出故障;崩溃;分解”;C. backed down“让步;放弃”;D.come true“实现”,主语通常是梦想、愿望等,都不符合。 47. convince sb. that... A. had to know“必须知道”;C. tended to know“往往知道”;D. regretted to know“遗憾地知道”,都不符合“逐渐认识自己”的过程。 50. include doing sth. A. liked“喜欢”;B. developed“发展”;C. found“发现”,都不能自然搭配experimenting。 51. start all over again A. stop“停止”;C. continue“继续”;D. finish“完成”,都不能与 all over again 构成“重新开始”的意思。 53. at the idea of doing sth. A. time“时间”;B. fact“事实”;D. moment“时刻”,虽然 at the time/ moment of graduating 语法上可成立,但语义是“在毕业时”,而不是“一想到毕业就惊慌”。 54. be surrounded with/ by 意为“被…… an escape from... B. entrance“人口”;C. explanation“解释”;D. expectation“期待”,都不能与 from the realities 构成这种搭配和语义。 I can't wait to describe to you what senior high school life is like. 58. setting 原句:… by setting goals now... by 是介词,介词后接动名词作宾语。 59. are 原句: Of equal importance are good study habits, useful skills and a positive attitude. Good study habits, useful skills and a positive attitude are of equal. Importance. 60. and 原句:… so work hard, stay positive, and hopefully you will live a happy life. 第二篇(61-64) 61. at .原句:… you are developing at a different rate to your friends. at a… rate是固定搭配,意为“以…… at a different rate to your friends 62. However 原句: Sometimes, family tensions may seem impossible to resolve. However, the key to keeping the peace is regular and honest communication. When you disagree with your parents, take several minutes to calm down and you can turn to our forum for help. several 64. are encouraged 原句: Users are encouraged to share their problems... 一般现在时的被动语态结构为am/ is/ are+过去分词,因此填 are encouraged。固定搭配: be encouraged to do sth,,意为“被鼓励做某事”。第三篇(65-70) 65. to get 原句: To tell the truth, I often struggle to get along with my son... struggle to do sth. get along with 意为“与…… 66. a 原句:… and recently we have argued with each other a great deal. a great deal 是固定搭配,意为“大量,许多”,常作状语。 He is anxious about his skin with lots of red spots, and he seems less confident than before. than before 提示比较级。 68. that 原句:I keep telling him that these changes are normal, and that things will turn out just fine. that things will turn out just fine 69. Unfortunately 原句: Unfortunately, when I asked him to see a doctor, he became angry and we had a big argument. unfortunate 70. on 原句:…I was putting even more stress on him... put stress on sb. 1】 Healthier Choices, Happier School Life Recent days have witnessed a common unhealthy living habit among us students: staying up late for homework or scrolling on our phones. Physically, staying up late lowers our sleep quality and weakens our immune system, leading to sleepiness in class. Mentally, lack of sleep causes anxiety and makes it hard for us to focus in class. To tackle this, it is wise to set a regular sleep target and put our phones away before bed. Furthermore, our school should guarantee reasonable assignment workload so that we can balance study and rest. Make healthier choices, and we will embrace a happier senior high school life.(104词) 【参考范文2】 Healthier Choices, Happier School Life Recently, a common unhealthy lifestyle among us students is the lack of regular exercise, which has raised our concern. Many of us spend our spare time just sitting in classrooms or staring at screens. Not only does this do great harm to our physical health, but it also leads to mental problems like anxiety and tiredness, consequently affecting our academic performance. To deal with it, we are supposed to spare at least 30 minutes three times a week to jo g on the playground or jump rope. Furthermore, it is necessary for our school to organize more easy-to-do sports activities to drag us off our chairs. Let's move for health, and enjoy a happier school life!(115词) 第二节 【参考范文】 The mother said, “The first chocolate is a reward for your imagination: a window-opening cat!” Surprised and puzzled, the boy stood straight and defended himself,“Mom, it was the cat! I promise.” The mother took out the second piece, and softly continued,“This one is for your wonderful repair work.” Staring at the chocolates, the boy hesitated but still tried to deny everything. Before he could say anything, a third chocolate appeared in his hand, with his mom's soft voice,“And this one is for your calmness and quick reaction when facing the unexpected situation.” Obviously, Mom had already discovered the whole story, but she gave him rewards instead of punishing him. Now with some chocolates in hand, the boy's bad attitude disappeared. He lowered his head, mouthed several times and finally said,“Mom, I'm so sorry that I broke your vase and lied to you. I was too terrified because it's your favourite antique.” Hearing the words, the mother hugged the boy and gently patted him on the back, and then handed him the chocolate box,“These ones are for your honesty. My boy, honesty values more than any antique.” W: I'm looking for books to improve my English reading skills. Could you tell me where to find them? They include difficult climbing. B. They are for experienced walkers. C. They share the same start point. D. They are scheduled for the weekend. B On my first round-the-world trip, I planned everything out in advance. I knew where I was going, where I was staying, for how long, and how I would get there. And then half-way through I gave up the plan and went with the flow. Over the years, how I plan my travel has changed. Now, I'm a last-minute planner and seldom travel with any plan. Travelling without a plan gives you great flexibility(灵活性). Since nothing is booked far in advance, you can turn to something different when you change your mind or something better comes along. I changed my plans to meet a friend on an island in Thailand and stayed for a month. I wouldn't have had that experience if I had kept to my planned schedule. However, most new travellers behave quite differently—— they overplan their trips. Their whole journey is scheduled. Two days here, three days there. I understand why people do that. When time is short, you want to see as much as possible rather than waste a single second. But in travel, less is more. Spending more time in one place. allows you to get a better feel for local life. You can visit at a more relaxed pace, see more than just the attractions, and open up your schedule to the happy accidents of travel. When I first made my travel plan, I tried to include everything in it. Then I realised it was unworkable, so I revised my plan. I came up with a list of one or two things I want to see each day and spaced everything out. It's an important lesson to learn. I think the best trip plan is to work out the general path you want to take, book the first few nights of your trip, and let your travels unfold from there. This way you are never locked into a certain place if your feelings change. 24 How does the author usually plan trips now? A. By arranging every detail in advance. B. By making plans in the final hour. C. By following a fixed daily schedule. D. By booking the whole journey ahead. 25. Why do most new travellers plan their trips in great detail? A. To spend more time in one place. B. To learn more about local people. C. To see as much as possible in limited time. D. To leave time for unexpected experiences. 26. What can be inferred from the passage? A. Travellers usually avoid booking rooms ahead. B. Changing travel plans often leads to a waste of time. C. A detailed schedule is necessary for enjoying local life. D. A rewarding trip does not have to include many places. 27. What could be the best title for the passage? A. Plan Less, Enjoy More B. Travel Together, Share Freely C. Plan Ahead, Travel Smoothly D. Stay Less, Visit More C We can message on WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Snapchat— but are we losing the convenience of the phone conversation? Who has time to chat when you can spend hours on WhatsApp? Most of my phone calls are less than a minute long. If I unintentionally hit“Answer”instead of pressing the “Ignore” button, I usually say, “Hold on, I’ ll call you back,” before quickly typing out a “What’s up?” text. My list of recent phone calls is limited to four people and unless we live together, are related, or dating, there's very little chance that you' ll be added to that list. It seems I'm not the only one who's abandoning the phone call. The average adult spends more time on media or communication. per day than on sleeping, but among all that communication, the phone call is the medium that's falling. So why has the phone call fallen out of favour? Many messaging apps seem to have created a form of communication, so that the phone call is no longer the standard way of talking over long distances, but a relatively personal thing. Rachel, 24, says that she used to speak to all her girlfriends on the phone but now only calls a few. “I rarely even speak to good friends on the phone and if they call me, I'm like, ‘Hello, is something wrong?’” says Rachel. “If I do a phone call, it feels really official, like it's a big deal.” Instead of taking the time to ring a friend and catch up, it now seems easier to send a short message. And unless you' re very close to someone, an unscheduled phone call can feel like an invasion(冒犯). While text messages can be put to one side for hours or even days, a phone call demands attention in the moment. But while text messages and emails may be a more efficient way of sharing basic facts and information, they' re not necessarily the best way of communication We may be communicating more than ever before, but we seem to be listening far less. 28. What does the author usually do after answering a call by mistake? A. Adds the caller to a contact list. B. Sends the caller a short text. C. Calls back a few minutes later. D. Continues talking for several minutes. 29. What would the author most likely agree with according to paragraph 6? A. Texting requires more timely attention than phone calls. B. Late replies to messages tend to damage close friendships. C. Phone calls usually help people build closer friendships. D. Texting gives people more control over when to respond. 30. What is the author's attitude towards the way of communication nowadays? A. Concerned. B. Neutral. C. Uninterested. D. Confident. 31. What is the passage mainly about? A. The roles of calls in keeping close relationships. B. The benefits of messaging apps in sharing information. C. The influences of declining phone calls on communication. D. The challenges of learning to use messaging apps. D “Are you even listening to me?” It's a question that an anxious mother often throws at her teenagers, and the truthful answer is probably “No.” It's hard to really blame them. Anew study, which was published on April 28 in the Journal of Neuroscience, suggests our response to some voices naturally changes with time, making our mother's voice feel less valuable. The scientists studied the adolescent brains, and found that in the brains of children 12and under, hearing Mom's voice triggers a strong and unique reaction. Yet sometime around a kid's 13th birthday, a change happens. The mother's voice no longer leads to the same neurological response(神经反应). Teenagers no longer find their mother's voice uniquely satisfying. Instead, their brains appear more responsive to all voices in general, whether new or remembered. The change is so clear that researchers are able to guess a child's age simply based on how their brains respond to their mother's voice. “Just as a baby knows to pay attention to his or her mother's voice, an adolescent knows to pay attention to novel voices.” explains Daniel Abrams from Stanford University. “As a teen, you don't know you' re doing this. You' re just being you: You' ve got your friends and you want to spend time with them. Your mind is increasingly reactive to and attracted to these unfamiliar voices.” A large number of studies have shown that for young children, a mother's voice plays an important role in their health and development, influencing their stress levels, their feeding skills, and speech processing ability. So, it makes sense that a child's brain would be especially in tune with the voice of their parents. However, there comes a point when listening to other people besides your mother is more beneficial. “When teens appear to be disobeying by not listening to their parents, it is because they want to pay more attention to voices outside their home,” says neuroscientist Vinod Menon, also from Stanford University. These changes could be normal parts of healthy social development, allowing teenagers to better understand the ideas of others. These are changes that help teens form connections which allow them to be socially confident outside their families. 32. Why does the author mention the question in the first paragraph? A. To prove a theory. B. To present a fact. C. To introduce the topic. D. To give an explanation. 33. What does the underlined word “triggers” in paragraph 2 mean? A. Results in. B. Argues for. C. Counts on. D. Takes in. 34. What can we infer from Daniel Abrams's words? A. Adolescents find their mother's voice unique. B. Adolescents ignore their mother's voice on purpose. C. Adolescents are naturally attracted to fresh voices. D. Adolescents are aware of their changing reaction to voices. 35. What may be the advantage of teens' changes according to the passage? A. They can reduce teens' parents' stress. B. They can change teens' brains greatly. C. They can help improve academic performance. D. They can help teens get along well with others. The introduction of AI-driven virtual classrooms is a great new development in modern education. Virtual learning environments and AI are working together to change education, influencing both students and teachers. 36 AI checks individual performance and learning habits to create suitable study plans. This method increases student interest and fills knowledge gaps. Most importantly, it ensures each student learns at their own pace. Another important function is the Intelligent Tutoring System(ITS). AI acts as a helpful digital teacher through ITS. It checks student progress, finds weak points, and offers personal guidance. It can also answer common questions anytime with quick replies. 37 Game-based learning is also changing the classroom experience. 38 AI improves this by adding game parts like scores, small prizes, and ranking lists. It fits the game experience to different learning styles, helping students remember what they have learned and enjoy studying more. AI also makes communication easier in virtual classrooms. 39 AI uses smart language tools to write down lessons and offer real-time subtitles on the screen. This gets rid of communication difficulties and creates a warmer learning environment. Students can ask questions easily and feel less lonely online. Finally, data prediction helps teachers know about students’ future learning conditions.AI looks at attendance, grades, and daily actions to find students in trouble early. 40 As a result, more students can stay in school and get a fair chance at education. A. One key feature is personalized learning. B. Good communication is key in online learning. C. This offers students support whenever they need it. D. This early discovery helps teachers give help in time. E. It provides students with chances to play games freely. F. AI will replace human teachers in schools sooner or later. G. One day, Ben was playing basketball in the living room after school, when he accidentally threw the ball at a vase(花瓶) sitting on the shelf. The vase dropped to the floor and a large piece broke off. What made Ben more upset was that the vase was not a common decoration but an antique(古董), which was handed down through generations from the 18th century. It was also his mother's favourite possession. To cover his terrible action, the terrified boy glued the pieces together hastily and put the vase back to its place. As the mother herself dusted the vase every day, she naturally noticed the cracks(裂纹)that evening. To her surprise, the repair work was actually very good. At dinner time, she asked her boy if he broke the vase. Fearing punishment, the suddenly inspired boy said that a neighbour's cat jumped in from the window and he couldn't drive it away no matter how hard he tried. It raced around the living room and finally knocked the vase off its shelf. His mother was quite clear that her son was lying, for all the windows were closed before she left for work each morning and opened after she returned. However, in the face of her son's nervous eyes and the suspicious looks of the other family members, Ben's mother remained calm. She realized she shouldn't just simply blame and punish her son for lying. She came up with another idea. Before going to bed, the boy found a note from his mother in his room, asking him to go to the study at once. The boy thought he would now be punished but, as he had already lied, he was determined to deny everything to the end, no matter how angry his mum became. In the study, calmly bathed in the light, his mother's face showed no sign of anger. On seeing her son push open the door and cautiously enter, she took a chocolate box out of a drawer and gave him one. The mother said, “The first chocolate is a reward for your imagination: a window-opening cat!” Now with some chocolates in hand, the boy's bad attitude disappeared.
