听力原文
Text 1
W: What a pretty town! It’s cleaner than Maple Town.
M: Yes. I bet we’re already close to the ocean. I can smell it. Let’s hurry up — the festival is this way.
Text 2
M: Our class is going to rural Mexico. And it is said the trip costs five hundred dollars.
W: That’s too expensive. I can only afford up to $300.
M: Well, the school will give you half of the amount.
Text 3
M: I’m having a hard time with this question.
W: OK, did you miss my class yesterday?
M: No, but I don’t remember this problem.
W: Let’s meet here in the lecture hall this afternoon, and I’ll help you with it.
Text 4
W: Hello, I live in apartment C2. I called to complain about the noise and I don’t think it’s coming from upstairs.
M: Oh, it must be from the air conditioner. I’ll send someone to check.
Text 5
M: What shall we do next?
W: Why don’t we go for a picnic at Hyde Park first? Then, we can go to the London Eye later.
M: Why not? It will be great to see the city from up high in the evening.
Text 6
W: What time are you going to work tomorrow, Mark?
M: Oh, I forgot to tell you, Ellen. I’m not working tomorrow morning. So I decided to take the car to the garage to have it serviced. Why?
W: I wanted a lift to the shops. Never mind. I’ll take the bus.
M: What if I took you there before going to the repair shop? Would that do?
W: That would be fine, thanks.
Text 7
M: You should definitely go see the school play. It’s a great play.
W: Really? But I have a lot of homework to do.
M: Please go! Because I am playing the lead role tonight. Last night, Ben was the leading man and tonight we are taking each other’s roles for the performance.
W: Oh, great! I didn’t know you were in the play. Why didn’t you tell me?
M: I’ve been so busy practicing the play that I haven’t had time for my friends, but I’d really like you to come tonight to watch.
W: Of course! I will definitely come.
Text 8
W: What exam did you take?
M: I took IELTS. It’s an important international English exam.
W: Why did you take it?
M: I want to work as an air traffic controller, and the job requires good English skills. I need to get at least a 6.5 in the exam.
W: Do you think you’ll get it?
M: I think so. I’m sure I did the exam quite well. They will send the results by post in two weeks’ time.
W: How will you celebrate if you pass?
M: I’ll go out for dinner with my friends Tom and Mark.
W: And what will you do if you don’t get a 6.5?
M: I’ll carry on studying and I’ll take the exam again as soon as I can.
W: Good luck.
Text 9
M: I’m glad you had time today to work on our project.
W: Me, too. It’s due in a week and a half, after all. I think we’re going to get a pretty clear result.
M: Most likely. The fish in the colder water are not as orange as the fish in the warmer water.
W: I agree. I know it’s hard to keep the water exactly the right temperature in this lab, but you can see the difference in the fish.
M: Yeah, we’ve had some differences in the water temperature, especially at night.
W: I think we should write our lab report as soon as possible.
M: I’m afraid I don’t agree. Maybe we’ll get clearer results if we give the experiment more time.
W: OK. I see your point. Are these the notes you took yesterday?
M: Yep.
W: Do you mind if I copy them? I can’t seem to find my notebook.
M: Go right ahead.
Text 10
W: Well, we certainly have a busy day ahead of us, so let’s get started, shall we? Let’s have a look at the map of the museum now.
The door on the right of the entrance hall leads into the gift shop and ticket center. Once we pick up our entrance tickets, I’d ask everyone to put their bags and coats in the storage area.
Now, once you come back into the entrance hall, the door on the opposite side to the gift shop leads into the art gallery. There is a special exhibition there at the moment. If you continue on up the entrance hallway that leads into the main exhibition center, on the back left-hand side, there are some toilets. Beside the toilets, you’ll find the 3D theater. I strongly recommend that you make time for the 30-minute presentation in the theater.
Running along the right-hand side of the main exhibition center is the Modern Art Studio. Here, not only can you view some of the most famous works of the 20th century, but you can also attend a workshop run by a local artist. OK, that’s the art museum.

Dear Eric,
I quite understand your annoyance. It is common for teenagers to get addicted to short-video apps during summer holidays, so don’t blame yourself too much.
Here are some practical suggestions for you. First, set a fixed time limit for your phone use to reduce screen time. Second, you can turn to schoolwork or outdoor activities to draw your attention away from videos. Besides, take small steps to refocus on your studies instead of pushing yourself too hard. Gradually, you will adapt to school life again.
Hope my advice will be of some help to you.
Yours,
Li Hua

Jake ran back and told the crowd the good news. “Leo, you won first place!” he shouted, his voice full of excitement. Leo’s eyes widened in disbelief. He shook his head slightly, thinking it must be a mistake. But Jake grabbed his arm and pulled him toward the hallway. There, on the notice board, was Leo’s painting, a peaceful village with starry skies and children laughing. Ms. White stood nearby, smiling proudly. “I knew you could do it,” she said softly. For the first time, Leo felt seen. A shy smile appeared on his face as classmates gathered around, offering their congratulations.
Everyone soon found Leo’s change. He began to speak more in class, his voice no longer a whisper but clear and steady. He joined group activities and even helped other students with their art projects. Jake became his close friend, and together they painted pictures on the classroom wall. Leo no longer sat at the back alone. He had found his voice, not through words alone, but through colors and brushes. Ms. White’s words had planted a seed, and now Leo was finally blooming. Sometimes a single act of kindness is all it takes to help a quiet heart find its way.

Pamela Malhotra has always attached great importance to education. However, life always seemed to “get in the way” every time she tried to finish her bachelor’s degree. The single mom was so devoted to working to support her two children that she repeatedly put her own education goals on hold, giving up her college program on two separate occasions over the years.
When her son Bonifacio Malhotra was just five years old, he noticed her struggling to get her degree, and he made a promise to help her. “I remember I just told my mom… one day, it’s gonna be you and me,” Bonifacio said. “We’re going to gain our degrees at the same time.” Those words proved to be prophetic for the mom-and-son, who currently walked across the stage at the university to collect their bachelor’s degrees together!
“That promise, he never allowed it to die,” said Pamela. “He continuously confirmed that we’re gonna do this.” Their path to graduation wasn’t easy, but Bonifacio stayed true to his promise and helped his mother along the way. The two hold two associate’s degrees each, so in the fall of 2021 they registered together in bachelor-level online courses. They both found the classes challenging, but Bonifacio stepped up as the cheerleader his mother needed. “Mom, you’ve got to keep it going. I know you want to stop. We must keep going,” Bonifacio recalled. “The main thing was just trying to get everything lined up and stay on top of all the work.”
It took the Malhotras two years to finish their bachelor’s degrees, hers in humanities and Bonifacio’s in public safety administration. Pamela plans to stay at her job as a coordinator, and Bonifacio has accepted a job at university to help other students succeed in college, too.
Pamela said she was incredibly proud of her son’s achievement, and she personally couldn’t have reached her lifelong goal without the support of her family, especially him. “Between my son and my daughter, they were my greatest supporter,” Pamela proudly said.
24. What does the underlined word “prophetic” in Paragraph 2 probably mean?
A. Formal. B. Predictive. C. Suitable. D. Responsible.
25. What do we know about the Malhotras?
A. Bonifacio majored in humanities at university.
B. Pamela thought the courses were more challenging.
C. They took online courses at the same time.
D. Pamela now works as a university teacher.
26. Which of the following statement can best describe Bonifacio?
A. He’s a man of his word. B. He’s a man of all work.
C. He’s a man among men. D. He’s the good man of the house.
27. What can be the best title of the passage?
A. We Value the Time Being with Families B. Each Family Has Its Own Problems
C. The Home Is Our Heaven D. Families Help Each Other
C
Leaving the childhood comforts of kindergarten (幼儿园) and moving on to “real school” can be “scary”. So, on their first day of school when entering the first grade, German children traditionally receive a cone-shaped (锥形的) bag. And the bag, called the Schultute, is always filled with treats and toys to make starting school much sweeter.
In the early 1800s in Jena, children were told there was a candy tree in the teacher’s yard, and that when they were old enough to reach it, they could start school. From there the custom spread to Berlin. Back then, the cone was simply a paper one — like those from candy stores — filled with sugary treats. After World War I, the custom spread south and west in Germany. The well-known German author Erich Kastner wrote in his 1957 book, When I Was a Young Man, “When I was a child, I received a bag filled with sweets…” But up through the 1960s, it was not a common practice.
One thing to note: the Schultute is always opened at home, not at school. This practice was especially meaningful during difficult times, when the cone might hold some simple handmade gifts. And at home, with no one else watching, the child could see how much thought went into every little gift — each one saying, “You matter!”.
Today, parents in Germany still buy the Schultute and fill it with a mix of practical school supplies — like pencils, crayons, and notebooks — along with small toys and sweets. Some parents choose to add surprises, such as colorful stickers, fun erasers, or a special book, while others prefer to keep it simple. It’s up to the parents to decide the contents (内容物).
In my opinion, the Schultute doesn’t need to be expensive but remains necessary, as it is a lovely tradition that celebrates a child growing up.
28. What is the main purpose of the Schultute tradition?
A. To provide school supplies for kids.
B. To celebrate the end of kindergarten.
C. To praise kids for their good performances.
D. To make kids less worried about the new start.
29. What is mainly discussed about the Schultute tradition in paragraph 2?
A. Its important changes. B. The way of celebrating it.
C. Its historical development. D. The reason for its popularity.
30. Why was it meaningful to open the Schultute at home in hard times?
A. It could save money. B. It made kids feel valued.
C. It avoided showing off. D. It kept the gifts a secret.
31. What can be learned about the contents of the Schultute?
A. They show kids’ preferences. B. They meet certain standards.
C. They can be both useful and enjoyable. D. They are expected to be shared among kids.
D
While teenagers who are at risk of depression with risky behaviors — drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes and skipping school — often warn parents and teachers that serious problems are growing, a new study finds that there’s another group of teens who are in nearly as much danger of experiencing the same mental symptoms.
These teens use tons of media, don’t get enough sleep and have a sedentary (久坐的) lifestyle. Of course, that may sound like a description of every teenager on the planet. But the study warns that it is teenagers who engage in all three of these practices in the extreme that are truly in a dangerous position. Because their behaviors are not usually seen as a red flag, these young people have been called the “invisible risk” group by the study’s authors.
The study’s authors surveyed 15,395 students and analyzed nine risk behaviors, including excessive (过多的) alcohol use, heavy smoking and high media use. Their aim was to determine the relationship between these risk behaviors and mental health problems in teenagers. The group that scored high on all nine of the risk behaviors was most likely to show symptoms of depression, in all, nearly 15% of this group reported being depressed, compared with just 4% of the low-risk group. But the invisible group wasn’t far behind the high-risk set, with more than 13% of them exhibiting depression.
The findings caught Carli off guard. “We didn’t expect that,” he says. “The high-risk group and low-risk group are obvious, but this third group was not only unexpected. It was so different and so larger— nearly one third of our sample— that it became a key finding of the study.”
Carli says that one of the most important things about his study is that it provides new early warning signs for parents, teachers and mental health-care providers. And early attention, support and treatment for mental health issues, he says, are the best ways to keep them from turning into severe cases.
32. Which teenager probably belongs to (属于) the “invisible group”?
A. A teenager who suffers from a lack of sleep.
B. A teenager who exercises regularly.
C. A teenager who skips school.
D. A teenager who drinks frequently.
33. What can we know about the new study?
A. It was intended to dig into the reasons for depression.
B. Its findings were under expectation of the research team.
C. It was conducted by analyzing and comparing the previous data.
D. It showed a surprising rate of the invisible group suffering depression.
34. What is Carli’s attitude toward the findings?
A. Unclear. B. Doubtful. C. Positive. D. Confused.
35. What’s the author’s purpose of writing this passage?
A. To introduce a new therapy for teens’ mental disorder.
B. To warn about the unseen signals for teens’ mental problems.
C. To caution teens against developing unhealthy habits.
D. To share a novel psychological experiment with teens.

Four Ways to Be a Great Roommate
Having a roommate can be one of the best experiences in senior high school or, easily, one of the worst. 36 Follow these tips to avoid the common mistakes that turn good roommate relationships sour.
·Talk things out. Communication is key. If something happens, sit down with your roommate and have a face-to-face conversation. I’ve seen roommate relationships fall apart because something happens and, instead of talking to each other, the two start complaining about their roommates behind their backs. 37
·Don’t expect to be best friends. Some roommates become the best of friends, and some don’t. Don’t put pressure on yourself or your roommate, especially when you first meet. 38 And if your roommate doesn’t end up being your best friend, don’t worry.
·Ask before you take. This applies to food, clothes and anything else. If you want to keep a relationship going, show your roommate that you have respect for what is his or hers by asking first. 39
·Clean up after yourself. This should do without saying. Don’t be lazy. Or, at least, don’t bury your roommate in your clothes and garbage. Most people I’ve come across in college are messy. 40 But being considerate with where you put your stuff will help you avoid conflict.
A. So you need to think twice before you help your roommates out.
B. This creates nothing but awkward situations and unhappiness.
C. Even if you both agree to share everything, you should still ask.
D. You don’t have all the time to clean your room and keep it organized.
E. It all starts with you to have a good relationship with your roommate.
F. Sometime you get stuck with someone who has tons of negative energy.
G. Remember, you’re trying to make a new friend, not to scare your roommate away.

When Leo transferred to a new high school in the middle of the term, he rarely spoke a single word. Coming from a quiet small town far away, he was extremely shy and quiet, always sitting silently at the back of the classroom. He never participated in any group activities, and even when the teacher asked him simple questions, he would lower his head shyly and reply in a low voice.
But during the art class, Jake, the most lively and playful boy in their class, secretly glanced at Leo’s painting and couldn’t hide the surprise on his face. One day, Ms. White, their art teacher, announced a city-wide art competition, calling on students to create paintings that could show their innermost dreams and true emotions. While other students chatted happily and actively shared their creative ideas, Leo sat all alone in his seat, staring blankly at his blank canvas (画布), looking lost and discouraged.
Ms. White walked over and knelt (跪) beside him, saying gently, “Everyone has a unique voice in art and yours is just waiting to be heard.” Leo looked up at her for the first time, his eyes full of doubt but also a faint spark of hope. She stayed with him patiently, asking about his beautiful hometown and his hidden hobbies, and little by little, Leo began to open up his heart. With her encouragement, Leo finished his painting and submitted (上交) it to the teacher after class, never expecting anyone to notice.
A month later, as soon as classes ended, Jake rushed over to Leo with a bright grin. “Come on, let’s go to the notice board. The result of the art competition is due out today!” he said excitedly. Leo shook his head and whispered, “I’m not going. It has nothing to do with me anyway.” Moments later, loud, excited cheers came from the hallway.

1.续写词数为150左右;
2.请按如下格式在答题纸的相应位置作答。

Now the door on the right of the entrance hall leads into the gift shop and ticket center once we pick up our entrance tickets, i'd ask everyone to put their bags and coats in the storage area. Now once you come back into the entrance hall, the door on the opposite side to the gift shop leads into the art gallery. There is a special exhibition there at the moment. If you continue on up the entrance hallway that leads into the main exhibition center, on the back left hand side, there are some toilets. Beside the toilets, you'll find the three d theatre. I strongly recommend that you make time for the thirty minute presentation in the theater or running along the right hand side of the main exhibition center is the modern art studio. Here, not only can you view some of the most famous works of the twenty eighth century, but you can also attend a workshop run by a local artist. Okay, that's the art museum.
