Imagine ordering snacks at night and getting them before bed. This is “instant retail”. It is a new way to shop. Local stores deliver online orders in minutes. Big technology companies are working hard to lead this trend.
Here is how it works. You use apps on your phone to buy food, drinks, or daily needs from shops near you. You do not buy from faraway places. Then, a rider brings your order to your door in 30 to 60 minutes. That is much faster than usual online shopping.
Why does it grow so fast? First, people want things right now. If you need a gift quickly, you cannot wait for days. Second, technology helps. Smart computer programmes find the best roads for riders. Some orders take less than 30 minutes! These programmes also guess what people need. Third, local shops love it. Supermarkets work with apps to sell to more people easily.
Different companies have different ways. Some offer 1-hour delivery for thousands of products. Some give lower prices to get more users. Others use many small storehouses to deliver everything quickly.
Technology is the key. AI finds the fastest ways and helps stores manage their goods. Apps even suggest products based on what you bought before. This makes shopping easier and more personal.
What is next? Instant retail is moving from big cities to small towns. It will offer new services like fresh vegetables from farms and phone repairs. As companies compete, prices will go down. In short, instant retail is fast and useful. It changes how we shop.
19.How does AI help instant retail according to the passage?
A.By checking the weather for riders. B.By dealing with problems from users.
C.By suggesting products users might like. D.By using fewer riders to save money.
20.What is the main idea of Paragraph 3?
A.The difficulties of fast delivery. B.The reasons why instant retail grows fast.
C.The importance of local shops. D.The difference between big companies.
21.What will happen to instant retail in the future?
A.It will replace all big supermarkets. B.It will only be popular in big cities.
C.Prices will go up because of high costs. D.It will offer more kinds of local services.
22.What is the author’s attitude toward instant retail?
A.Supportive. B.Doubtful. C.Critical. D.Neutral.(中立的)
C
A famous story from New Book of Tang tells of Yang Yuhuan. She loved lychees (荔枝), a fruit that grew in faraway southern China and would easily go bad during transportation. To make her happy, Emperor Xuanzong ordered the riders to bring lychees to Chang’an. When the lychees finally arrived, they were still fresh. This makes people surprised at how fast the ancient postal (邮政的) system was!
In fact, China’s postal system started over 3,000 years ago in the Zhou Dynasty. Workers called “Xingfu” carried government orders and army messages. At that time, many places had institutions (机构) similar to post stations, but with different names. When the Qin State unified China, it made them use the same name—“You”, which is still used in China’s postal industry today.
While the postal system was well-developed during the Qin and Han dynasties, only the government could use it. Ordinary people had to depend on friends or family to send letters and other things.
During the Sui and Tang dynasties, the postal system took shape, centered around the capital and reaching all parts of the country. The poet Cen Shen wrote, “One post station after another, the post riders flow like stars, setting off from Xianyang in the morning and reaching the top of Mount Longshan in the evening.” This highly developed system allowed Yang to get her fresh lychees.
In the Ming Dynasty, “security escort agencies” appeared. People paid them to protect their money and safety during travel.
However, in the mid-19th century, China had to open its doors to the West. This led to big changes in the postal industry. Finally, in 1913, the ancient postal system officially came to an end.
23.Why does the text begin with a story?
A.To introduce the topic. B.To explain a book. C.To mention an emperor. D.To describe lychees.
24.What is the correct order of the following events?
①The postal system was mainly around the capital.
②Only the government could use the postal system.
③Many places had institutions similar to post stations.
A.①→②→③ B.①→③→② C.②→①→③ D.③→②→①
25.What does the underlined part “security escort agencies” probably mean in Chinese?
26.What is the best title for the text?
A.Big Changes in Money Safety B.Development of Lychee Business
C.Postal System in Ancient China D.Transportation in the Tang Dynasty

①In 1942, in Changsha, China, archaeologists found something amazing—ancient books written on silk! These aren’t normal books. They are China’s oldest silk books: the Zidanku Silk Manuscripts (子弹库帛书) from the Warring States period (475-221 BC), showing ancient writing and thoughts across three volumes (卷) — Sishi Ling, Wuxing Ling, and Gongshou Zhan.
②Their journey, however, was marked by loss. In 1946, during the war, American collector John Cox cheated Chinese scholar Cai Jixiang to get the manuscripts, taking them abroad. For 79 years, they were moved among U. S. museums, far from their homeland.
③Chinese researchers worked hard, studying historical records and scientific facts to prove that they belonged to China. Finally, in 2025, after peaceful talks, an American museum returned two volumes—Wuxing Ling and Gongshou Zhan—at a ceremony in China’s embassy in Washington D.C.
④This return fixes a historical wrong, showing that stolen cultural treasures must go back to their homeland. It sets a strong example for museums around the world.
⑤Bringing lost treasures home was once nearly impossible, yet China’s tireless research and efforts made it happen, showing its ability to protect cultural treasures.
⑥The manuscripts’ return enables deeper historical understanding for future generations. In July 2025, the National Museum of China will hold an exhibition named “________”, allowing public access to these treasures. Students and scholars alike will get new insights into China's past.
⑦While two volumes are home, cultural experts are now looking for the first volume—Sishi Ling. Reuniting the full collection promises to unlock further secrets of these ancient writings and compose new chapters in the ongoing story of cultural homecoming.
27.What happened to the Zidanku Silk Manuscripts in 1946?
A.They were found in Changsha. B.They were destroyed during the war.
C.They were on show in a Chinese museum. D.They were taken away from China to America.
28.What is the best name for the exhibition mentioned in Paragraph ⑥?
A.Given and Taken: Sishi Ling’s Way Home
B.Lost and Found: Cultural Treasures Returned
C.Cultural Journeys: Learning about Wuxing Ling
D.Ancient Writings: Stories from a Long Time Ago
29.Which of the following can be put into No. 7?
A.History. B.Culture. C.Meaning. D.Ability.
30.Which of the following can be put into No. 8?

Maher Nasser from the UN helped start this day. He said, “I want to make every day a day of happiness.”
Nasser thinks governments can help people be happier and healthier. But it’s not only their job. For example, helping others can make us feel good, and that brings us happiness.

March 20th is a special day—it’s the International Day of Happiness! The United Nations (UN) made this day to tell everyone that happiness matters.
The leaders there wanted to know how happy their people were. So, they started the Gross National Happiness (GNH) Index and did the first survey in 2008 to understand people’s happiness.
Bhutan’s interest in happiness caught the world’s attention. Then, in 2012, the UN decided to create the International Day of Happiness.
People get joy from many things—like friends, family, good health, and a clean environment.
Every year on March 20th, the World Happiness Report comes out. It shows what makes people happy and how happy people are in different countries.
Maher Nasser from the UN helped start this day. He said, “I want to make every day a day of happiness.”
Nasser thinks governments can help people be happier and healthier. But it’s not only their job. For example, helping others can make us feel good, and that brings us happiness.

商人想要买下设计,方框内选buy,want to do sth.
故填with。
故填that。
In a corner of the flower market, a boy confidently introduces his flowers to customers. “They are easy to take care 71 ,” he says with a smile on his face. It is hard 72 (imagine) that this same boy, Zhang Haoxuan, used to be too shy to even lift his head and speak to strangers.
Now, Zhang and his younger sister not only sell flowers but also manage their money in 73 very smart way. They do not receive traditional pocket money. Instead, they make money by 74 (work) hard during the holiday at the flower market.
Their family has set up a “Home Bank” and it works like this: the brother and sister start by deducting (扣除) all 75 (they) costs, such as the cost of the flowers and the market stall rent. Then, they save the money left over in the “Home Bank”. Their parents, acting like bankers, pay them yearly interest (利息) on their 76 (saving). This method 77 (teach) them the value of saving and investing (投资). 78 they want to buy something expensive, they can borrow (借) from the “bank”, but the borrowed money will no longer get interest.
Through this experience, the brother and sister 79 (realise) that every coin they have comes from their own hard work. More importantly, they have learnt some life skills, such as how to manage money carefully and 80 to talk with customers. These are lessons no textbooks could ever teach them.
71.of 72.to imagine 73.a 74.working 75.their 76.savings 77.teaches 78.If 79.realised 80.how
固定短语take care of表示“照顾,照料”,此处缺介词of。
It is+adj.+to do sth.
固定搭配in a...way,表示“以……

No matter who we are or where we live, good qualities matter a lot in our daily life.
Patience is of great benefit to us.It helps us stay calm when we meet problems. With patience,we

I think lifelong learning is really meaningful. We are always busy with schoolwork and
daily tasks. It seems that we never have enough time to study. But the world around us is
changing fast all the time.If we keep learning new things,we won't fall behind others and can get
ready for the future.

DIn 1942,in Changsha,China, archaeologists found something amazing-ancient books written on silk!
These aren't normal books.They are China's oldest silk books:the Zidanku Silk Manuscripts(子弾库帛书)from
the Warring States period (475-221 BC),showing ancient writing and thoughts across three volumes ()-Sishi
Ling,Wuxing Ling,and Gongshou Zhan.
2Their journey,however,was marked by loss.In 1946,during the war,American collector John Cox
cheated Chinese scholar Cai Jixiang to get the manuscripts, taking them abroad. For 79 years, they were moved
among U.S.museums,far from their homeland.
3Chinese researchers worked hard, studying historical records and scientific facts to prove that they
belonged to China. Finally,in 2025,after peaceful talks,an American museum retumed two volumes-Wuxing
Ling and Gongshou Zhan-at a ceremony in China's embassy in Washington D.C.
This return fixes a historical wrong, showing that stolen cultural treasures must go back to their
homeland. It sets a strong example for museums around the world.
5Bringing lost treasures home was once nearly impossible, yet China's tireless research and efforts made it
happen, showing its ability to protect cultural treasures.
6The manuscripts'return enables deeper historical understanding for future generations. In July 2025,the
National Museum of China will hold an exhibition named"
"allowing public access to these treasures.
Students and scholars alike will get new insights into China's past.
