In March 2026, the eSafety report on Australia's under-16 social media ban showed that most teens had kept their accounts. For many of them, the Internet remains a place where a stranger can steal their (1)________ and post (2)________ photos of them under a (3)________ name. One girl said she felt (4)________ after her photo was shared again and again.
我的答案:(1)________ (2)________ (3)________ (4)________
1. I am convenient to shop online.
2. This app is very benefit for my study.
3. Don't click the strange file, it may have virus.
It is convenient for me to shop online.
This app is of great benefit to my study. 主课文里 one of the greatest benefits of the Internet 的 benefits 是名词复数,how technology benefits people's daily lives 的 benefits 是及物动词第三人称单数——同一个词,教材里两种词性都露过面。
virus 表「病毒」可数,泛指用 a virus 或 viruses,不能裸用;click 后接宾语时教材用 click on。改成 Don't click on the strange file; it may contain a virus.(原句用逗号直接连两个完整句,另有逗号拼接的问题。)
本单元「上网」的动词是 surf,教材写的是 surfing the Internet could help her feel less lonely and bored。
surf
the Internet / the web
写成 play computer、go on the net
search
for + 目标
click
on + 宾语
click the link 漏 on
I have access to the Internet Students can access the Internet
判定就看它前面那一个词:have、easy、with → 名词;can、will、to → 动词。
错例:I have access to use the Internet. I have access to the Internet 或 I can access the Internet。 Easy ________ to the Internet is what we need,空前 Easy 是形容词,只能修饰名词,填 access。
主课文里还有一处画面感很强的表达:bridge the digital divide and make sure that everyone has access to the Internet。 Everyone should use the Internet
Isurf the Internet for opera videos.(四处浏览)
IIsearch for the latest information on the app.(找特定信息)
Never click on a strange link.(点击后接 on)
Jan 的落脚点落在一个具体的人群——she joined an online group where she could talk about her problems and get support and advice from others。
Since last spring, my grandpa (1)________ (surf) the Internet for opera videos every morning. With easy (2)________ (accessible) to a health app, he can keep track (3)________ his blood pressure. What surprised him most was that he could (4)________ (access) a free course for older learners.
我的答案:(1)________ (2)________ (3)________ (4)________
benefit 一名三形:名词 benefit(益处)、及物动词 benefit(使受益)、不及物 benefit from(得益于)、形容词 beneficial(有益的)。
空后定不了,再查空前:先看有没有 of——of great benefit to 里 of 的优先级高于 be;再看修饰语,a、the、great、形容词性物主代词 → 名词(复数 benefits);以上都不成立,空前是 be、more、most、very → 形容词 beneficial。
错例:This new app is of great ________ to my study.
The chair is comfortable.(椅子坐上去舒服,comfortable 讲身体感受)
It is convenient for me to pay by phone.(付款这件事省事,convenient 讲做事的难易)
Are you convenient? 问「你这周末方便吗」,得把方便落到那件事上——Is the weekend convenient for you? 或 If it is convenient for you…
The Internet makes our lives more convenient.
update 一家三层:update 动名同形(更新/最新消息),updated 是过去分词作定语表「被更新过的」,up-to-date 是形容词表「最新的」,最高级写 the most up-to-date;要表达「最新信息」,优先用 the latest information 或 the most up-to-date information。
Online dictionaries are of great (1)________ (benefit) to my vocabulary building, and I (2)________ (benefit) a lot from reading real examples. It is very (3)________ (convenience) for me to look up a word on my phone, and the (4)________ (update) version even marks the most up-to-date meanings.
我的答案:(1)________ (2)________ (3)________ (4)________
privacy / identity / theft / steal
troll / false / rude
cyberbully / target / particular / embarrassing
directed at particular people,贴 embarrassing photos
upset / lonely / tough / stuck
教材给过两个定义:troll 是 a person who posts comments or questions in order to stir up trouble online,常使用 several false names;cyberbully 是 uses the Internet to be mean to others,内容 directed at particular people,还会贴 embarrassing photos。两词都含 mean(待人刻薄)之意。
He posted rude comments under several false names 判定为 troll,是因为证据停在 several false names;同一段若再出现 the same classmate、again and again,就得改判。
privacy 是名词且不可数,private 是形容词:protect your privacy / a private chat。
Someone might use the information to steal your identity. 与 Identity theft is a common and serious problem.
The girl was very upset / It upset her。
「被取笑」在完形里的正确项常是被动结构 be made fun of。 A photo of her had been posted online and she was being made fun of——had been posted 是过去完成时的被动,was being made fun of 是过去进行时的被动。
stuck(困于)与 tough(艰难的)常被人塞进风险环,其实它们出自 Jan 故事:she found herself out of work and stuck at home,When you go through tough times。
Someone might use the information to (1)________ (stealing) your identity, and identity (2)________ (thief) is a common and serious problem. A photo of her had been posted online and she was being made fun (3)________ . She felt (4)________ (embarrass) and more than a little upset.
我的答案:(1)________ (2)________ (3)________ (4)________
leave the site
leave the site immediately; don't post comments or click on anything
二
protect your privacy
don't give out your address or phone number
三
be polite
being online is no excuse for being rude
判定标准落在「你看到、读到时舒不舒服」,与对方要不要你的密码无关——If you see or read something that makes you feel uncomfortable, leave the site immediately. Don't post comments or click on anything.
You don't want to become a target for a troll or cyberbully.
If you see or read something that makes you feel uncomfortable, leave the site at once.
Never give out your personal information such as your address or phone number.
Always be polite online so that you won't become a target for cyberbullies.
博客末句用的是:the more polite you are, the less likely it is you will be attacked。
charity、go through、inspire 常被挂到对策环上,其实它们属于 Jan 故事的后半段:困境(go through tough times)→ 触动(inspired)→ 行动(start a charity website)。
(1)________ that you have a smartphone, keep a safety rule (2)________ mind: leave the site the moment something makes you feel (3)________ (comfort). Never give (4)________ your address, (5)________ particular when a stranger asks for it.
我的答案:(1)________ (2)________ (3)________ (4)________ (5)________
The 2026 National Cybersecurity Week ran from September 14 to 20, with its main events in Jinan. Its theme put the focus on people rather than machines. During those days, a speaker at our school said the Internet is very (1)________ (convenience), and every student should have (2)________ to it. Yet easy access also means someone might use our information to steal our (3)________ (identify). Identity (4)________ (thief) is a common and serious problem. Being rude online can make us a (5)________ for a cyberbully. The more polite we are, the less (6)________ (likely) we are to be attacked. Keep two rules (7)________ mind: protect your (8)________ (private), and never give out your address.
我的答案:(1)________ (2)________ (3)________ (4)________ (5)________ (6)________ (7)________ (8)________
access 前有 have、easy、with → 名词,后接 to 且 to 是介词;前有 can、will、to → 动词。错例:I have access to use the Internet.(介词 to 后接原形,错)
Is the weekend convenient for you? 错例:Are you convenient?
benefit 空后有 from → 动词;空前有 of → 名词;空前是 a、the、great、my → 名词;以上都不成立且空前是 be、very → beneficial。错例:be of great benefit to(空前是 be 仍填名词)
错例:identity thief(指盗用身份的人)
click 后接宾语 → click on,介词不丢;surf 后接 the Internet, search 后接 for + 目标
keep track of、make full use of 的 of 不丢;make full use of 不带褒贬,take advantage of 接机会、漏洞时常含贬义
now that + 既成事实或状态,引导原因状语从句;in particular 作状语,particular 是形容词
guideline、tip 可数,写 guidelines、tips;leave the site 后不接 on
the + 比较级…, the + 比较级… 越……」,两个 the 后面都接比较级,后半句可倒装也可不倒装:the more polite you are, the less likely it is you will be attacked。
-ing 与 -ed 形容词的分界在修饰对象:embarrassing photos(照片令人难堪)/felt embarrassed(人感到难堪)。
Much has been written about the wonders of the World Wide Web(现在完成时的被动);A photo of her had been posted online and she was being made fun of(过去完成时被动 + 过去进行时被动)。
Now that our school (1)________ (join) the 2026 Cybersecurity Week activities, we have put up a poster in the hallway. It says: keep three rules (2)________ mind. The (3)________ (update) guide beside it lists them clearly, and the most up-to-date tips came from the local police. Anyone who finds an (4)________ (embarrass) photo of themselves online may feel upset; the more carefully we guard our personal details, the less likely we are (5)________ (become) a target for cyberbullies.
我的答案:(1)________ (2)________ (3)________ (4)________ (5)________
but、however、still、to be honest I'd say…、The key is…、It works best when…
1. What is the speaker's attitude towards the Internet now? A. Totally against it. B. Helpful if used properly. C. It is only a toy.
2. What does the speaker do to manage his time? A. He stops using the Internet. B. He watches videos all day. C. He sets a time limit every day.
我的答案:1.________ 2.________
3. What is the speaker's attitude towards limiting screen time? A. Helpful if done properly. B. Totally against it. C. It is only for children.
4. What made the speaker decide to change his habit? A. His mother's repeated advice. B. A survey on screen time. C. A book about technology.
我的答案:3.________ 4.________

Australia banned children under 16 from social media in December 2025, becoming the first country to do so. Ten of the largest platforms face fines of up to 33 million dollars if they fail to take reasonable steps to block Australian users younger than 16. In July 2026, the country's internet regulator, eSafety, released a study with an uncomfortable finding: more than eight in ten under-16s are still using social media. Before the ban, nearly 86 percent of the children surveyed reported using at least one age-restricted platform; three months after it took effect, the figure was still above 81 percent. About 58 percent of teenagers said they used social media every day, compared with roughly 60 percent before. Around half of the children who kept their accounts said the platforms had not checked their age. eSafety named the platforms' failure to put in place effective age checks as the main reason. The government says the rule is about protecting children from cyberbullying and harmful content. Reddit, one of the ten platforms, has challenged the ban in the High Court while continuing to follow it.
1. What did the eSafety study in July 2026 find? A. The ban has removed most teenage accounts. B. Teenagers have stopped using social media at school. C. Most under-16s are still using social media. D. Platforms have checked every user's age.
我的答案:________
2. Why could many children keep their accounts according to eSafety? A. Their parents helped them hide their age. B. The government cancelled the fines. C. They moved to video game platforms. D. The platforms failed to check ages effectively.
我的答案:________
3. What can be inferred from the numbers in the passage? A. Daily use has changed little since the ban. B. More teens started using social media after the ban. C. Age checks have become stricter over time. D. Half of the children deleted their accounts.
我的答案:________
4. What is the writer's attitude towards the effect of the ban? A. Uninterested. B. Fully supportive. C. Totally against it. D. Doubtful about it.
我的答案:________

Being polite online sounds like a small thing, yet the safety blog in our textbook puts it right next to protecting our privacy. The reason is simple: rudeness attracts the wrong kind of attention. A person who posts comments just to stir up trouble is called a troll; such a person often hides behind several false names and picks on whoever passes by. A cyberbully works differently. The meanness is directed at particular people, again and again, sometimes with embarrassing photos posted for everyone to see. The line between the two is drawn by one thing: whether there is a chosen target.
These habits protect the person who keeps them as much as the person they are aimed at—rudeness makes you a target, too.
The blog's last line puts it neatly: the more polite you are, the less likely it is you will be attacked.
1. What does the underlined word "meanness" most probably mean?
我的答案:________
2. How is a cyberbully different from a troll? A. A cyberbully uses several false names. B. A cyberbully aims at a particular person. C. A cyberbully writes longer comments. D. A cyberbully picks on whoever passes by.
我的答案:________
3. What can be inferred from Paragraph 2? A. Politeness online protects both sides. B. Teachers' advice is usually empty. C. Photos should never be posted online. D. Classmates laugh at others face to face.
我的答案:________
4. Which of the following is the best title for the passage? A. How to Post Photos Online B. Why Trolls Use False Names C. Politeness as a Safety Rule Online D. The History of Online Rudeness
我的答案:________
四环速记:连接靠 surf,便利归 convenient;风险的施动者是人,identity theft 排第一;对策按教材顺序——先走(leave the site)、再捂(protect your privacy)、后客气(be polite)。
空后的 from、of、宾语能当场定词性;空前的 have、can、easy、very 在三步之后再起作用。
My grandma used to think the Internet was for young people only. Now she (1)________ (surf) it every morning and has easy (2)________ to opera videos. She says it is (3)________ (convenience) to learn a new recipe on her phone. What worries me is different: a stranger once asked her for her address, and someone like that might use it to steal her (4)________ . So we agreed on one rule—keep it (5)________ mind: never give out personal information, and leave the site the moment something makes her uncomfortable.
我的答案:(1)________ (2)________ (3)________ (4)________ (5)________

In March 2026, the International Telecommunication Union told a United Nations forum that its latest Facts and Figures showed 2.2 billion people were still offline, most of them in low- and middle-income countries. To close such gaps, ITU and UNICEF run an initiative called Giga, which has mapped connectivity in over 2.2 million schools in more than 40 countries and has helped connect tens of thousands of schools. Another programme, Partner2Connect, has gathered more than 82 billion dollars in pledges to support meaningful connectivity in developing countries.
For students, the meaning of these numbers is concrete. A school with a connection can offer online lessons, digital libraries and safe search tools; a school without one cannot. Teachers in connected schools report that students who once walked miles for a reference book now keep track of the latest information on a shared screen.
Connectivity alone will not do, though. Young people also need the skills to tell a reliable source from a copied one, and the habits to protect their privacy while online. That is why ITU has joined an AI Skills Coalition with partners across the United Nations, the private sector and universities.
1. What does the initiative Giga do? A. It builds new schools in 40 countries. B. It trains teachers to use AI tools. C. It maps school connectivity and helps connect schools. D. It sells devices to low-income families.
我的答案:________
2. How much has Partner2Connect gathered in pledges? A. 8.2 billion dollars. B. 82 billion dollars. C. 2.2 billion dollars. D. 820 million dollars.
我的答案:________
3. What does the last paragraph suggest about connectivity? A. It has closed the digital divide completely. B. It matters less than buying new devices. C. It should replace classroom teaching. D. It works only together with skills and safe habits.
我的答案:________
4. What is the writer's attitude towards connecting schools? A. Supportive, yet not content with connection alone. B. Doubtful about its value. C. Totally against it. D. Uninterested in the numbers.
我的答案:________

(1) identity (2) embarrassing (3) false (4) upset
(1) has surfed (2) access (3) of (4) access
解析:第 (1) 空 Since last spring 提示现在完成时,填 has surfed;第 (2) 空 easy 修饰名词 access;第 (3) 空 keep track of 的 of 不能丢;第 (4) 空 could 后接动词原形 access。
benefit 一名三形:名词 benefit(益处)、及物动词 benefit(使受益)、不及物 benefit from(得益于)、形容词 beneficial(有益的)。
(1) benefit (2) benefit (3) convenient (4) updated
解析:第 (1) 空空前是 of,of great benefit to 填名词;第 (2) 空空后有 from,填动词 benefit,写 have benefited 亦通;第 (3) 空 very 后接形容词 convenient;第 (4) 空修饰 version 用过去分词 updated,不写 updating。
privacy / identity / theft / steal
troll / false / rude
cyberbully / target / particular / embarrassing
directed at particular people,贴 embarrassing photos
upset / lonely / tough / stuck
(1) steal (2) theft (3) of (4) embarrassed
解析:第 (1) 空 use sth. to do 结构,填动词原形 steal;第 (2) 空 identity theft 是名词词块;第 (3) 空 make fun of 变被动后 of 留在后面;第 (4) 空修饰人用 -ed 形式 embarrassed,修饰 photos 才用 embarrassing。
leave the site
leave the site immediately; don't post comments or click on anything
二
protect your privacy
don't give out your address or phone number
三
be polite
being online is no excuse for being rude
(1) Now (2) in (3) uncomfortable (4) out (5) in
解析:第 (1) 空 Now 与 that 合成 now that,后接既成状态;第 (2) 空 keep sth. in mind 不可拆;第 (3) 空 makes you feel 后语义为「不舒服」,加前缀 un-;第 (4) 空 give out 表泄露;第 (5) 空 in particular 作状语。
(1) convenient (2) access (3) identity (4) theft (5) target (6) likely (7) in (8) privacy
access 前有 have、easy、with → 名词,后接 to 且 to 是介词;前有 can、will、to → 动词。错例:I have access to use the Internet.(介词 to 后接原形,错)
(1) has joined (2) in (3) updated (4) embarrassing (5) to become
解析:第 (1) 空 now that 后接既成事实,用现在完成时 has joined;第 (2) 空 keep sth. in mind 固定结构;第 (3) 空修饰 guide,表「被更新过的」用过去分词 updated;第 (4) 空修饰 photo,物用 -ing 形式 embarrassing;第 (5) 空 be likely to do 结构,填 to become。
but、however、still、to be honest I'd say…、The key is…、It works best when…
I used to think the Internet was just for fun. I spent hours watching short videos every day. To be honest, it was exciting at first. But during this year's Cybersecurity Week in September, my teacher told us it works best when we use the Internet as a tool, not a toy. Now I set a time limit every day. I'd say the Internet is helpful, provided that we manage our time well.
1. What is the speaker's attitude towards the Internet now? A. Totally against it. B. Helpful if used properly. C. It is only a toy.
2. What does the speaker do to manage his time? A. He stops using the Internet. B. He watches videos all day. C. He sets a time limit every day.
解析:第 1 题 To be honest 后先说 exciting,But 后转到工具论,I'd say 后给出主张 helpful, provided that we manage our time well,与 B 项对应;A 含绝对化词 totally,与 helpful 冲突;C 与 use the Internet as a tool, not a toy 相反。 Now I set a time limit every day 是既成做法,对应 C;A 与主张句矛盾,B 属 I used to 里的旧做法。
I used to check my phone the moment I woke up. Before I knew it, I had spent the whole morning scrolling through short videos. My mother kept telling me to spend more time outdoors, but I didn't listen. Then one day, during the Cybersecurity Week, our class did a survey on screen time. The result shocked me: I spent over six hours a day on my phone. I decided to try a technology-free evening once a week. At first it was hard, but soon I found I could read and even talk to my family again. Now I'd say the key is to make the Internet serve you, not the other way round.
3. What is the speaker's attitude towards limiting screen time? A. Helpful if done properly. B. Totally against it. C. It is only for children.
4. What made the speaker decide to change his habit? A. His mother's repeated advice. B. A survey on screen time. C. A book about technology.
I'd say the key is to make the Internet serve you 表明他认同有节制地使用,与 A 项一致;B 与全文矛盾,C 无据。第 4 题 The result shocked me 之前的屏幕时间调查是触发点;母亲劝过但紧跟 but I didn't listen,属被否定的信息。

3. What can be inferred from the numbers in the passage? A. Daily use has changed little since the ban. B. More teens started using social media after the ban. C. Age checks have become stricter over time. D. Half of the children deleted their accounts.
【答案】A
4. What is the writer's attitude towards the effect of the ban? A. Uninterested. B. Fully supportive. C. Totally against it. D. Doubtful about it.

解析:meanness 与 directed at particular people、embarrassing photos 同现,语义落在「待人刻薄」;A、B、C 与霸凌语境相拗。
2. How is a cyberbully different from a troll? A. A cyberbully uses several false names. B. A cyberbully aims at a particular person. C. A cyberbully writes longer comments. D. A cyberbully picks on whoever passes by.
【答案】B
解析:directed at particular people 是 cyberbully 的定义特征;A、D 是 troll 的行为(several false names、whoever passes by),C 无据。
3. What can be inferred from Paragraph 2? A. Politeness online protects both sides. B. Teachers' advice is usually empty. C. Photos should never be posted online. D. Classmates laugh at others face to face.
【答案】A
解析:These habits protect the person who keeps them as much as the person they are aimed at 表明礼貌同时保护双方;B 与 can sound empty 冲突;C 把「不转发」说成「永不发布」,属绝对化;D 无据。
4. Which of the following is the best title for the passage? A. How to Post Photos Online B. Why Trolls Use False Names C. Politeness as a Safety Rule Online D. The History of Online Rudeness
【答案】C
解析:全文把礼貌与隐私保护并列为安全规则,末句以 the more…the less likely…
(1) surfs (2) access (3) convenient (4) identity (5) in

【答案】C
解析:has mapped connectivity in over 2.2 million schools…and has helped connect tens of thousands of schools 与 C 项完全对应;A 把「绘制联网地图」说成「建学校」,属偷换对象;B、D 无据。
2. How much has Partner2Connect gathered in pledges? A. 8.2 billion dollars. B. 82 billion dollars. C. 2.2 billion dollars. D. 820 million dollars.
【答案】B
解析:more than 82 billion dollars in pledges,选 B;A、D 是数字错位,C 是离线人口数,属偷换数据。
3. What does the last paragraph suggest about connectivity? A. It has closed the digital divide completely. B. It matters less than buying new devices. C. It should replace classroom teaching. D. It works only together with skills and safe habits.
【答案】D
解析:Connectivity alone will not do 与 need the skills、the habits 表明联网需与技能、习惯配合;A 与 still offline 冲突,B、C 无据且含绝对化意味。
4. What is the writer's attitude towards connecting schools? A. Supportive, yet not content with connection alone. B. Doubtful about its value. C. Totally against it. D. Uninterested in the numbers.
【答案】A

1. 简述一次你或你同学遇到的网络风险;
2. 给出至少两条自护做法,须用上 protect your privacy、leave the site、become a target for 中的至少两个;
Recently, a stranger asked me for my address online, which really upset me.
Recently, a stranger asked me for my address online, which really upset me. I refused at once and reported it to the website. That experience shows online risks come from people more often than from viruses. Here are two rules I follow now: protect your privacy—never give out your address or phone number, since a stranger might use them to steal your identity; and if anything makes you feel uncomfortable, leave the site immediately. Being polite online helps too, because rudeness can make you a target for cyberbullies.(正文 88 词)
