Passage 1(课内同源:Camping problems)
Amy’s class went camping in the forest last weekend. The first night, a group of monkeys got into their tents and ate their food. The children were worried, and some of them wanted to go home.
Amy’s mum phoned the camp guide, Mr Henry. “Don’t worry,” he said. “This is a good chance for the children to learn. I promise to make sure they are completely safe.”
Then the children had a meeting. “Maybe we can put all the food in a box and keep it outside the tent,” said one student. “We could also use some tape to fix the holes in the tent,” said another. “Why don’t we ask Mr Henry how to keep monkeys away?” said a third.
“How about using some tape to fix them?” said Amy. “And we could take turns to watch the food at night.” Everyone thought it was a good idea.
The next day, the children worked together. They fixed the tents, put the food in a safe place, and took turns to keep watch. The monkeys didn’t come back. In the end, they all agreed that teamwork had helped them work things out.

Passage 2(课外同源:How to make suggestions politely)
When we work in a team, we often need to give suggestions. But how can we do it in a polite way? Here are some tips.
First, we can use “Maybe we can…” or “Perhaps we could…”. These expressions sound gentle and show respect for others. Second, questions like “Why don’t we…?” and “How about…?” are very useful, because they invite everyone to think together. Third, don’t say “You are wrong.” Instead, you can say “That’s a good point. We could also…” In this way, no one will feel hurt.
Remember, a good suggestion is only the first step. We also need to listen carefully to others and be ready to change our own ideas. When everyone shares and listens, the team can work things out much more easily.

任务四范文:Last term, our class had to put on a play for the art festival. But we met a big problem at the very beginning — we couldn’t agree on who should play the main role. Two of my classmates both wanted it, and everyone had different ideas. We had a meeting after class. “Maybe we can ask them both to try the role first,” said our monitor. “We could also let all the class members vote,” said Li Hua. “Why don’t we find out what each of them is good at?” I said. “How about giving them two different roles in the play?” said Wang Wei. In the end, we took all these good ideas. Both of them had a try, and the class voted. Everyone was happy with the result, and our play was a great success. From this experience, I have learnt that a good team member should not only share ideas, but also listen to others. When we work things out together, we can do much better.
