拓展阅读(课内同源 + 课外同源)
Passage 1(课内同源:Saying goodbye to my years up high)
It’s so nice to see you on my last day at work. The past 30 years were filled with both challenges and joys. All my days up high in the air will be kept in my memory.
I still remember my first summer as a “spiderman”. The sun was burning, and I was wet all over. Drops of sweat ran down my face and into my eyes. But when I opened my eyes, I saw a kind woman smiling brightly at me. She passed a piece of watermelon up to me through the window. That was the sweetest watermelon of my life.
Working high up in the air is not easy. On hot days, the glass is hot and the work is hard. Some people don’t think window cleaning is a good job. But I have met so many kind people through the glass. I watched a little girl grow bit by bit. Later, she drew a picture of me and showed it to me. Happiness passed through the glass and into my heart.
Now I’m saying goodbye, and I feel sad, but also happy that we were once friends. Window cleaning is not always considered a good job, but I’ll never regret it. The city shines brighter because of us, and the job will make us shine, too.

On hot days, they are wet all over and drops of sweat run down their faces. Some people don’t think it is a good job, but I don’t agree. Through the glass, they meet many kind people. A window cleaner once told me that a stranger gave him the sweetest watermelon of his life. Their work reminds me that every job is filled with both challenges and joys. The city shines brighter because of them, and their job makes them shine, too. That is why I respect window cleaners most.
