阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
I met Gunter on a cold, wet and unforgettable evening in September. I had planned to fly to Vienna and take a bus to Prague for a conference. Due to a big storm, my flight had been delayed by an hour and a half. I touched down in Vienna just 30 minutes before the departure of the last bus to Prague. The moment I got off the plane, I ran like crazy through the airport building and jumped into the first taxi on the rank without a second thought.
That was when I met Gunter. I told him where I was going, but he said he hadn't heard of the bus station. I thought my pronunciation was the problem, so I explained again more slowly, but he still looked confused. When I was about to give up, Gunter fished out his little phone and rang up a friend. After a heated discussion that lasted for what seemed like a century, Gunter put his phone down and started the car.
Finally, with just two minutes to spare we rolled into the bus station. Thankfully, there was a long queue (队列) still waiting to board the bus. Gunter parked the taxi behind the bus, turned around, and looked at me with a big smile on his face. "We made it," he said.
Just then I realised that I had zero cash in my wallet. I flashed him an apologetic smile as I pulled out my Portuguese bankcard. He tried it several times, but the card machine just did not play along. A feeling of helplessness washed over me as I saw the bus queue thinning out.
At this moment, Gunter pointed towards the waiting hall of the bus station. There, at the entrance, was a cash machine. I jumped out of the car, made a mad run for the machine, and popped my card in, only to read the message: "Out of order. Sorry."

【达标版范文】
I ran back to Gunter and told him the bad news. He looked surprised. I smiled with apology and asked if I could pay him later. I had to catch the bus, or I would miss my important conference. I hoped to get his phone number to send him the money. I even offered my watch as a guarantee. But Gunter refused it. He took my business card and gave me his phone number. He just told me to keep my promise. I shook hands with him and rushed to board the bus before it left.
Four days later, when I was back in Vienna, I called Gunter as promised. He came to meet me at the bus station. I was glad to see him and thanked him again for his great help. Thanks to him, my conference went very well. When we got to the airport, I gave him the taxi fare and a tip. But he refused to take the tip. I then gave him a nice small souvenir from Prague. He was happy to accept it. Later, we became good friends. I was lucky to meet such a kind‑hearted man during my special trip.
【满分版范文】
I ran back to Gunter and told him the bad news. He looked at me in disbelief, asking me what to do. Flashing him another apologetic smile, I begged him for a delayed payment. “If I miss this last bus to Prague, I’ll be late for the conference which is so important that I can’t afford to miss it!” I explained. “May I have your phone number? I will call you and return the money I owe you. I promise I will keep my word or you keep my watch!” I added, handing him my watch as well as my business card. Gunter accepted my business card but rejected my watch. He wrote down his phone number and gave it to me. “Just keep your promise, Sir.” A surge of gratitude swept over me as I heard his words. Giving him a firm handshake, I jumped out of the car, made a mad run for the bus, and jumped onto it just before its departure.
Four days later, when I was back in Vienna, I called Gunter as promised. He picked me up at the bus station where he had dropped me off four days before. Beaming a warm smile at him, I gave him a big hug the moment I saw him. Gratitude welled up inside me. We chatted happily on the way to the airport. I told him that thanks to his generosity and timely help, everything had gone smoothly. When he stopped his taxi outside the airport, I paid him for the “double car ride”, back and forth from the airport to the bus station, together with a generous tip that he turned down. I also gave him an attractive souvenir I had bought at Prague, which he accepted with delight. We became good friends and kept in touch with each other regularly. Overcome with gratitude, I felt blessed to have such a warm‑hearted friend like Gunter.

When I was in middle school, I was always interested in drawing. I would spend hours sketching in my notebook during free time. However, I never thought my drawings were good enough to show anyone. I enjoyed creating art, but I lacked confidence and was too shy to share my work with others. One day, my art teacher, Mrs Lewis, announced that the school was holding an art competition. She encouraged everyone in the class to participate. As soon as I heard about it, I knew there was no way I could enter. My work wasn’t good enough to be displayed alongside the other students’ works.
After class, Mrs Lewis noticed I didn’t seem excited. She asked me, “Why aren’t you entering the competition? Your sketches are beautiful.” I was surprised that she even knew I liked drawing. I explained that I didn’t think my drawings were good enough to be shown to others, let alone entered into a contest. Mrs Lewis smiled and said, “You don’t have to win. You just have to believe in yourself enough to try.” Those words stuck with me. She didn’t push me to be the best; she just wanted me to take a chance.
For the next few days, I went home and worked on a drawing I felt proud of. It wasn’t perfect, but I poured my heart into it. Each time I doubted myself, I thought about what Mrs Lewis had said. Slowly, my confidence grew, and I decided to enter the competition. I handed in my work the day before the deadline, unsure of what would happen but proud that I had taken the first step. That small act of bravery felt like a huge victory for me.

After the ceremony, Mrs Lewis found me and said, “I told you that you had it in you.”
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________【答案】One possible version:
When the results of the competition were announced a week later, I was shocked to hear my name. I had won second place. As I stood in front of the class to accept my certificate, I couldn’t believe it. The room filled with applause, and at that moment, all the doubts I had about my abilities melted away. What mattered wasn’t the award itself but the fact that I had taken a risk and believed in my talent. The excitement I felt wasn’t just about winning — it was about proving to myself that I could do something I had once been afraid to try.
After the ceremony, Mrs Lewis found me and said, “I told you that you had it in you.” Her belief in me had been the push I needed. I realized then that taking a chance, even when you’re unsure, is the only way to grow. From that day on, I stopped hiding my drawings. I began to show my artwork to my friends and family, and with each piece I created, my confidence grew. The art competition was just the beginning. I had learned that sometimes, the most important victories are not about winning a prize but about believing in yourself and keeping trying.

3.(26-27高三上·重庆·阶段检测)随爷爷游村,领悟真正的美源于爱与温情
阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
Chesa grew up in a quiet small town in Indiana. For as long as she could remember, Chesa had listened to her parents talk warmly about the Hinara, their hometown far across the ocean. Her parents described lush palm trees, warm tropical wind, tasty local snacks and the peaceful countryside where Grandpa lived. Chesa built a perfect, glowing picture of the Hinara in her mind, dreaming that it would be a wonderful oasis (绿洲) full of joy and beauty.
At last, the whole family booked flights to visit their relatives. Full of eager excitement, Chesa boarded the plane, counting down the hours until she could step into her imagined paradise. But reality hit her hard the moment they arrived. The air was hot and sticky, full of thick moisture. The roads were narrow and bumpy. Local taxis rumbled (发出轰鸣) noisily along the streets, and simple wooden houses lined the roadside instead of the neat modern buildings she had pictured. Grandpa’s small house was plain and narrow, without the comfortable facilities she was used to back in Indiana.
Disappointment washed over Chesa again and again. She refused to try local food, kept quiet during family gatherings, and avoided going out with her grandpa. She thought her dream oasis had turned into a dull, uncomfortable place. Grandpa noticed her low spirits and never blamed her. Every day, he gently invited her to tour around the village, yet Chesa always made up excuses to stay inside alone, wrapped in her negative mood. One afternoon, Chesa sat alone on the back porch, staring blankly at the messy yard, feeling regretful and lonely for being so cold to her kind grandpa. She wondered whether she would ever find the “oasis” she had long dreamed of.
注意:1.写作词数应为150个左右;
2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
Slowly, Grandpa walked over and invited Chesa for a village tour on his motorcycle.

From that unforgettable ride, Chesa finally understood the true meaning of an oasis.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________【答案】【参考范文】
Slowly, Grandpa walked over and invited Chesa for a village tour on his motorcycle. Hesitantly, she agreed, not wanting to hurt his sincere heart. As the old motorcycle moved slowly along the country road, a brand-new world unfolded before her eyes. Golden rice fields waved gently in the breeze, and clear streams ran quietly through the village. Local villagers greeted them warmly with big smiles, filling the peaceful countryside with warmth. Grandpa pointed at every corner of the village, sharing his sweet childhood memories and simple life stories. Listening patiently, Chesa gradually let go of her prejudice and disappointment. She began to feel the unique beauty and tranquility of this land.
From that unforgettable ride, Chesa finally understood the true meaning of an oasis. An oasis was not a perfect, fancy place she had imagined blindly. Instead, it referred to the warmth of family affection and the simple happiness hidden in ordinary life. Ashamed of her previous selfish attitude, Chesa held Grandpa’s hand tightly. In the following days, she actively experienced local life, tasted traditional food and chatted with villagers happily. This precious journey taught her a profound lesson: true beauty lies in love and warmth rather than superficial appearances.

Every summer, the couple, Ella and Ken, lived in a wonderful countryside house along with their two boys Jim and Dick, aged seven and eleven.
The two brothers got along well, unlike other brothers who would often fight for small things. They shared every detail of their school days, even their favorite toys and books. Except for one thing — cleaning! On a bright Saturday morning, Mom called from the kitchen, “Jim! Dick! Time to organize your room!” Their sighs echoed (回响) through the house. Cleaning their room was always the last thing they wanted to do.
Jim and Dick walked into their messy room, looking sad. Toys were everywhere on the floor, clothes were piled up on the chairs and beds, and so were books on the shelf.
Mom entered the room and was shocked, “Oh, God! How did this happen? We ought to clean it up together.” Jim and Dick glanced at each other. Obviously, they were not happy about the job they had to do. Then, they quarreled with each other, particularly about when and how to clean up their room.
Noticing that the kids were unwilling, Mom explained, “A tidy room looks pleasant and makes daily life more organized. It is an important skill to manage our things and keep clean.” The boys remained silent, as if they were deep in thought.
Their father happened to hear what they were chatting about and stepped in to help them out. A bright idea occurred to him. He said, “I understand that cleaning can be boring. However, how about turning it into an exciting competition? The winner, who can find the most interesting item hidden in this messy room, will decide what we eat for dessert tonight!” With excitement, they accepted their father’s advice.

Their room gradually became less messy.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________【答案】
Curious about what they would find, they each quickly took action. To their surprise, Jim found his cherished toy car he had been looking for weeks, while Dick discovered a long-missing colorful pencil buried under books. As they continued their search, more and more forgotten treasures were discovered, such as candies, a model plane, and comic books. Each discovery brought laughter and joy, making the cleaning far more fun than they had expected. Just like an adventure, more and more items were found and put in order.
Their room gradually became less messy. Ken watched his sons working together as they helped each other locate hidden items, their laughter filling the air during the entire exploration. After what seemed like hours of searching and cleaning, the boys finally announced that the task was finished. Mom stepped into the room, astonished. What a tidy room! Recognizing their great efforts, Mom allowed the brothers to choose their favorite dessert for the evening as a group. It was their teamwork that made the task enjoyable and kept the brothers much closer.

In my childhood, under the influence of my elder brother and my peers in the neighborhood, I tried a number of outdoor activities. Of course, I was not so taken by all of them. whether I was doing them for the first time or continuously. However, fate had its own plans in store. You never know when an outdoor activity will change my life.
The name of this activity is “fishing”. About ten years ago, I didn't really like the idea of sitting on the bank of a lake or river, spending long hours under the sun's ultraviolet rays, which can cause sunburns and skin damage, and anxiously anticipating some fish to be kind to take my bait(诱饵). In fact, I used to think of this outdoor activity as some kind of “hide-and-seek-game” that is popular with most young kids, except that it was much harder because I could see my “prey (猎物)” only after catching it.
However, all that changed when I paid a visit to my aunt in the countryside during a summer holiday. I was finally convinced by one of my cousins to accompany him to a nearby lake in order to do some fishing practice with him. In fact, he even assured me that fish would eat my baits. So I agreed and went to the lake expecting to catch some fish. Before throwing my fishing line into the water, my cousin did some tricks attaching some sort of food to my fishing pole.
Learning to fish in a river or lake can be challenging for the beginners like me. The act of dropping a line is easy, but being a successful fisher is hard. That's why they call it fishing but not catching But with practice and patience, it can become easier over time. Patience is essential in lake fishing. It may take some time to find the right spot or lure (鱼饵) that will attract fish.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
【答案】One possible version:
My cousin had to repeatedly remind me to keep patient. He taught me how to adjust my pole based on the movements of the fish and how to determine the best time to lift the pole when a fish was on the hook. Under his guidance, I calmed down gradually, staying focused to wait patiently. Then suddenly, I felt a jerk of my pole. A surge of thrill sweeping over me, I pulled the fishing pole out of water and I caught my first fish! So excited was I that I even gave a jump in the air. It was a small one, but it was a milestone for me!
When we finally left the lake, I had caught three fish! Thrilled and fulfilled, I skipped all the way home with my cousin, telling him it was a pity that I had been missing out on so much by avoiding this simple outdoor activity before. Since then, I have become a passionate fisherman and love spending time outdoors, appreciating the simple pleasure of life. Fishing has taught me to be patient and persistent and most importantly, it has also taught me a lesson that we should not miss out on these opportunities just because they are simple or just we do not know how to do them well.

Sorry."

阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
