1.(2020·浙江7月卷)邂逅北极熊拍下独特画面
阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
One fall,my wife Elli and I had a single goal:to photograph polar bears. We were staying at a research camp outside"the polar bear capital of the world”-the town of Churchill in Manitoba, Canada.
Taking pictures of polar bears is amazing but also dangerous.Polar bears-like all wild animals-should be photographed from a safe distance. When I'm face to face with a polar bear,I like it to be through a camera with a telephoto lens. But sometimes, that is easier said than done. This was one of those times.
As Elli and I cooked dinner,a young male polar bear who was playing in a nearby lake sniffed, and smelled our garlic bread.
The hungry bear followed his nose to our camp, which was surrounded by a high wire fence. He pulled and bit the wire.He stood on his back legs and pushed at the wooden fence posts.
Terrified,Elli and I tried all the bear defense actions we knew.We yelled at the bear, hit pots hard, and fired blank shotgun shells into the air Sometimes loud noises like these will scare bears off.Not this polar bear though-he just kept trying to tear down the fence with his massive paws(爪子)
I radioed the camp manager for help.He told me a helicopter was on its way,but it would be 30 minutes before it arrived.Making the best of this close encounter(相遇),I took some pictures or the bear.
Eilt and I feared the fence wouldn't last through 30 more minutes of the bear's punishment. The camp manager suggested I use pepper spray. The spray burns the bears' eyes, but doesn't hurt them. So I approached our uninvited guest slowly and.through the fence, sprayed him in the face. With an angry roar(吼叫),the bear ran to the lake to wash his eyes.
Para 1.
A few minutes later, the bear headed back to our camp.
Para 2.

The mountain had called to them with the promise of crisp air and breathtaking views. Alex and Mex, filled with adventurous spirit, had begun their ascent with energetic strides. The path was steep but manageable, and the sun filtered gently through the lush canopy. For the first hour, laughter and easy conversation accompanied their climb.
Then, the sky began to change. A cool wind whispered through the trees, and the first few drops of rain landed, cold and unexpected. Within minutes, a steady drizzle enveloped the mountain, transforming the once-firm path into a treacherous, muddy slide. Their enthusiasm quickly evaporated, replaced by a gnawing fear. Each step became a cautious, uncertain movement. Mex clutched a wet tree root, his knuckles white. “Maybe we should turn back,” he suggested, his voice barely a whisper against the patter of rain. Alex, equally terrified, felt a similar impulse to retreat. They stood there, paralyzed on the slippery incline, the summit feeling further away than ever. The fear of falling, of a twisted ankle or worse, was a cold knot in their stomachs. The mountain was no longer a friend but a slick, dangerous adversary.
Just as despair began to set in, Alex’s eyes fell upon a gnarled, ancient branch lying by the path. An idea sparked. “We don’t need to go fast,” Alex said, his voice gaining conviction. “We just need to be smart and steady.” He picked up the branch, testing its strength. “We can use this as an anchor. One of us finds a secure foothold and plants the branch, and the other uses it for support to move up. Then we switch. Slow and steady.”

阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
It was the summer of 2019, and I was part of a team of eight climbers attempting to reach the top of Mount Rainier in Washington State. We had been training for over a year, preparing for the physical and mental challenges of the climb. Our team, composed of experienced mountaineers and a few beginners like myself, had grown close during our training sessions. We relied on each other for support, encouragement, and motivation. If someone was struggling, the rest of us would step in to help, whether it was carrying extra sports equipment or offering words of encouragement.
The first two days of the climb went smoothly. We made good progress, reaching Camp Muir at 10,000 feet without any major issues. The weather was perfect, and our spirits were high. On the third day, we began our push for the peak. The plan was to start early in the morning, around 2 a.m., to take advantage of the colder, firmer snow. We roped up and began the climb, each of us focused on the task at hand.
As we approached Disappointment, Cleaver, a steep and dangerous section of the climb, the weather began to change. The wind picked up, and the temperature dropped significantly. We could barely see more than a few feet in front of us because of the dense fog, and the snow underfoot became unstable. Despite the challenging conditions, we carried on, determined to reach the peak.
Then, disaster struck. One of our team members, Sarah, lost her footing and slipped. The force of her fall pulled the rest of us off balance, and we all fell, sliding down the slope (斜坡). I felt a sharp pain in my leg as I hit a rock, and I knew immediately that something was wrong. The rest of the team quickly regained their footing and managed to stop our slide, but I was unable to stand.
注意:
1.续写词数应为150个左右;
2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
“I think my leg is broken,” I said painfully.

阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
46-year-old Kim Wallace and her 8-year-old daughter, Olivia, had been heading home after picking up dinner from Olive Garden. On the way back home, she suddenly began feeling extremely sick while driving the SUV. The sudden wave of nausea (作呕) caused Kim to lose consciousness behind the wheel, and the SUV went out of control instantly. Sitting in the back seat, 8-year-old Olivia was jolted (颠簸) violently as soon as the car turned sharply. The peaceful mood after their dinner out disappeared in an instant. She called out in a trembling voice, “Mom! Mom! What’s up?” Yet she got no response from Kim. Panic washing over the little girl, she grabbed tightly onto the edge of the front seat.
As the vehicle crashed through a fence, tore across several residential backyards, and slid rapidly toward a nearby pond, Olivia screamed, “Help! Help!” By the time the SUV threw itself into the cold pond water, she was completely overwhelmed by fear and helplessness.
The violent crash made a loud sound, and it was this sudden loud crash that caught the attention of 33-year-old Yianni Sarris, who was helping his father cut down trees in the backyard of his parents’ home at that moment.
Sarris witnessed the entire shocking scene of the out-of-control SUV. Realizing that there were people trapped in the sinking vehicle, Sarris rushed straight toward the pond. Noticing several neighbors drawn by the crash were rushing toward the pond, Sarris didn’t even pause to exchange a word — he just jumped in.
Fortunately, the water in the pond was not all that deep. Swimming nearer, he spotted through the half-open window that in the car were a panicked girl and an unconscious lady.
注意:
(1)续写词数应为150个左右;
(2)请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
Without hesitation, Sarris reached out for the vehicle door.

Para 2.
At that very moment, the helicopter arrived.

A few minutes later, the bear headed back to our camp. Angrier than before, it hit the wire fence violently again and bit the posts repeatedly. Elli and I were extremely frightened. We shouted loudly and struck pots continuously to drive it away, yet the bear refused to leave. I dared not use the pepper spray once more in case it made the bear attack the fence desperately. We held each other tightly, worrying the fence would break down before rescue came.
At that very moment, the helicopter arrived. It hovered above our camp and made loud noises. The bear was startled by the huge sound and turned around to run away towards the lake quickly. We waved wildly to the helicopter to show we were safe. Later the workers on the helicopter landed and comforted us. Though we were still shaken, we felt relieved to escape from this dangerous experience finally.
【范文满分版】
A few minutes later, the bear headed back to our camp. Roars and screams pierced the silence with needle-like shrillness. The noises turned Elli and I pale with horror. I feared that the giant would destroy our whole fence. He roared repeatedly, shattering what was left of the silence. Elli seized this opportunity to take somepictures of the bear. The animal’s noises echoed all around us. We betrayed our feelings by huddling together, shivering with fear. After thoroughly scrutinizing the area, he trotted forward a few steps.
At that very moment, the helicopter arrived. My heart leaped with joy as I knew we were likely to be saved. Elli used pepper spray again to buy us enough time. But this time the bear became more alert. He regarded us with the merciless necessity of hunger, so we throw all the food we have. He then turned away and started devouring. As we were climbing the rope ladder, Elli prayed like thousand times to show thankfulness of being safe and sound.

Mex looked skeptical but saw the logic. He was still overcome with fear at the slippery muddy path. Nodding his head, he tried to calm his anxious heart. Alex stuck the branch firmly into the mud to make a steady support. Holding the branch tightly, Mex moved forward carefully. The two took turns moving and supporting each other. The rain continued to fall, but their fear slowly disappeared. They encouraged one another bravely, moving steadily ahead despite the tough conditions.
Finally, the ground began to level out. Soon the rain stopped and bright sunlight came out, lighting up the whole mountain. Tired and breathless, they successfully reached the summit. Looking at the beautiful scenery around them, they felt greatly relieved and joyful. All the fear and tiredness during the climb vanished at once. They hugged each other happily. From this experience, they learned that teamwork and courage can help us beat fear and get through hard times.

Mex looked skeptical but saw the logic. Still haunted by lingering fear, he nodded tightly and took a deep breath to ease his tension. Alex firmly planted one end of the branch into the slippery mud to build a stable anchor. Gripping the branch tightly to fight against inner panic, Mex moved his feet cautiously step by step on the treacherous path. They took turns supporting each other and inched forward slowly. Although the cold rain kept falling and the road remained risky, their overwhelming fear faded away gradually, replaced by mutual trust and determination. They whispered encouragement, steadying each other’s trembling nerves.
Finally, the ground began to level out. The rain gradually ceased, and warm sunlight pierced through the dense clouds, sweeping away the gloomy atmosphere. Sweaty and exhausted, they stepped onto the flat summit side by side, immense relief flooding over them. Gazing at the stunning misty mountain scenery, they felt all previous fear and hardship worthwhile. They hugged each other tightly, brimming with pride and joy. This unforgettable experience taught them that calm wisdom and teamwork are the most powerful weapons to defeat fear and overcome difficulties.

Without hesitation, Sarris reached out for the vehicle door. Frightened and helpless, little Olivia was shaking all over, trapped in the sinking car. Struggling in the icy water, Sarris managed to pull the door open. He gently comforted the terrified girl and carried her to the safe shallow water, leaving her in the care of neighbors. Without delay, he swam back to rescue the unconscious Kim, as rising water put her life at great risk. Using all his strength, he unfastened her seat belt and dragged her out of the car.
After swimming Kim back to the shore, Sarris collapsed from exhaustion. He panted heavily, trembling with tiredness after the tough rescue. The mother and daughter were still overcome with fear. Warm blankets were offered by kind neighbors to help them recover. Shortly afterwards, the ambulance arrived and gave Kim timely treatment. Eventually, the two escaped danger safely. This experience made Sarris realize that ordinary bravery can drive away people’s deepest fear and bring hope to others.
【满分版范文】
Without hesitation, Sarris reached out for the vehicle door. Cold water was gradually creeping into the sinking car, and extreme fear had completely overwhelmed the little girl, leaving her trembling helplessly. Sarris comforted the terrified Olivia softly before pulling the door open and lifting her out of the car. He sent the scared girl to shallow water and asked a neighbor to take care of her, reminding them to call emergency services immediately. By then, half of the car was flooded, putting the unconscious Kim in mortal danger. With great effort, Sarris unbuckled Kim’s seat belt and pulled her out through the half-open window.
After swimming Kim back to the shore, Sarris collapsed from exhaustion. Shivering and breathless, he could barely stand steadily after the tough rescue. Still haunted by the terrifying experience, the mother and daughter looked extremely frightened. Nearby neighbors rushed over to check their condition and covered them with warm blankets. Soon, emergency vehicles arrived. With professional treatment, Kim gradually regained consciousness. Olivia finally calmed down and thanked Sarris sincerely for saving them. It suddenly struck Sarris that ordinary kindness and courage can dispel people’s deepest fear and light up the darkness of despair.
