根据“After eating three ice creams in a row”可知吃太多冷饮会导致胃部不适,推测出是胃痛。
根据问句“What can we do to help the old man?”
depending依赖;to depend依赖;developing开发;to develop开发。
根据问句“the music club or the sports club”可知是在两者之间选择,结合答语“I just want to learn something else.”
Although虽然;but但是;Because因为;so所以。
needn’t不必;need需要;shouldn’t不应该;should应该。
as long as只要;because of因为;even though即使;so that以便。 应填so that。
固定搭配“allow sb. to do sth.”
根据“after he saw those homeless dogs”及“to become a volunteer”可知,此处指看到流浪狗后决定成为志愿者,make a decision意为“做决定”。
I’m sorry to hear that听到这事我很难过;No, I can’t stand parties不,我受不了派对;That’s all right没关系;Sure, I’d love to当然,我很乐意。“Would you like to…?”

How to live a healthy life
Health is the most valuable treasure a person can have. Without a good healthy body, we won't have enough energy to finish what we plan to do. Then how can we live a healthy and happy life? Here is some advice on how to keep fit.
First of all, the best way to keep fit is to have a balanced diet. In order to eat healthily, I think we should develop the habit of eating on time and try to take in fresh vegetables and fruit. We also should avoid eating food which is high in fat. Meanwhile, not only do we need to eat healthy food, but we also need to get some exercise. After all, the more sports we do, the healthier we will be. It’s wise to do sports as often as possible. More importantly, we should develop a positive attitude, which allows us to face things positively no matter what happens.
In a word, what we can do is to get rid of the bad habits which are harmful/bad for health. An active lifestyle helps us feel energetic and less stressful.

A few weeks ago, I went into Chase’s class for help. I e-mailed Chase’s teacher one evening and said, “My son keeps telling me that his homework is maths, but I’m not sure whether I should believe him. Help, please.” She e-mailed right back and said, “No problem! I can help Chase after school anytime.” And I said, “No, not him. Me. He gets it Help me.”
And that’s why I stayed with Chase’s maths teacher. We talked about teaching children. We agreed that subjects like maths and reading are not the most important things that are learned in a classroom. We also talked about something else--kindness and bravery.
And then she told me this.
Every Friday afternoon Chase’s teacher asks her students to take out a piece of paper and write down whom they’d like to sit with the following week. She also asks the students to nominate (推荐) who is the most popular student that week. They needn’t write down their names on the paper.
After the students go home, she takes out those pieces of paper and studies them. In fact, Chase’s teacher is not looking for a new seating chart (表) or “popular students”. She is looking for lonely children. She’s looking for the ones who don’t want to talk with others. She is finding out whose names are not noticed by their classmates. Then she gets to know who needs help
After watching Columbine, the wise woman knew that all violence (暴力) comes um loneliness. So she decided to start fighting violence early and often, and what she is doing is SAVING LIVES.
And she finds the lonely kids from those lists and tries to help them. It’s maths to her. All is love--even Maths.

B. because she is looking for a new seating cha
C. because she is looking for the popular student

36. What do we know about the teacher?
A. She’s ready to help the parents. B. She’s kind and full of love.
C. She’s good at teaching Maths. D. She’s a good mother.
37. The best title for the passage can be __________.
A. Learning Maths B. Looking for Help

Gather together some good friends and take a walk through the streets. This is what many young people in China enjoy doing when they visit a new city. To them, city walk means “hanging around the city” on foot. They often explore old buildings or boutique shops (精品店), and enjoy a cup of coffee or local snacks.
Citywalk offers them a way to interact with a city. It also gives them a chance to meet new people. It can be a guided trip for a small group of people or simply a relaxing walk for one or two. They follow one rule: stay away from famous places and big crowds.
In China, the citywalk has become a hit and has spread from Beijing and Shanghai to smaller cities. Some organizers invite folk culture researchers to act as tour guides. Xiao Yiyi is a young woman living in Changsha. She is exploring new possibilities in the tourism industry. Recently she started six citywalk routes in different cities. Her plan is to provide experiences for visitors to “walk in open-air museums.”
Her Changsha route includes more special sights, such as historical buildings from the 19th century and old streets. They even stop to taste the local spicy crayfish (麻辣小龙虾) along the way. Xiao Yiyi said her group is usually made up of about twelve people. Her events last about half a day.
Some cities, such as Beijing, have included citywalks in their plans to help develop cultural tourism. Shanghai has created citywalk routes and is trying to help tourists reach more remote (远的) places by public transport.
At present, the idea of a citywalk is new to most Chinese people. However, people working in the tourist industry believe it has a bright future. Zhang Zhi is a tour guide from Beijing. He said that tourists nowadays are paying more attention to personalized travel services. Many tour guides are also increasing their online influence. They share their citywalk experiences to attract more customers.

A. takes tourists to visit old buildings B. is a tour guide in Shanghai
C. works with twelve people together D. designed six citywalk routes in Changsha
45. What can we learn from the last paragraph?
