A. story B. lie C. joke D. truth
【答案】D
【解析】
【详解】句意:她说她很好,但说实话,她感到有点难过。

A. Once B. Instead C. Still D. Almost
【答案】B
【解析】

4. It’s getting dark outside. You’d better________ home alone. Tell your parents to pick you up.
A. not go B. not to go C. go D. to go
【答案】A
【解析】
【详解】句意:外面天黑了。你最好不要独自回家。叫你父母来接你。
根据前句“It’s getting dark outside.”以及后句“Tell your parents to pick you up.”可知,出于安全考虑,说话者在劝阻对方“最好不要独自回家”,应使用否定含义。表示“最好(不要)做某事”应用固定结构“had better (not) +动词原形”(其中had better常缩写为’d better),其否定结构为“had better not+动词原形”,因此空处应填not go。
5. —Tom is not ________ of the danger of swimming in the lake. Go and tell him about it.
A. proud B. aware C. sure D. tired
【答案】B
【解析】
【详解】句意:——汤姆没有意识到在湖里游泳的危险。去告诉他这件事。
proud骄傲的;aware意识到的;sure确定的;tired疲倦的。根据“Go and tell him about it.”可知需要去告诉汤姆,说明他没有意识到危险,be aware of 意为“意识到”,符合语境。

7. —More and more people buy new energy vehicles (新能源车) now.
—Yes. They are friendlier to the environment, and are ________ before.
A. not as expensive as B. not as more expensive as
C. not as cheaper as D. not as cheap as
【答案】A
【解析】
【详解】句意:——现在越来越多的人购买新能源车。——是的。它们更环保,而且不像以前那么贵。
as...as中间需用形容词原级,选项B和C使用了比较级,语法错误,排除;根据“越来越多的人购买”可知价格下降,A项符合“不如以前贵”的语境,D项意为“不如以前便宜”,不合逻辑。
8. —I don’t want to practice speaking English every morning.
—I think you ________. Practice makes perfect.
A. should B. can C. may D. will
【答案】A
【解析】
【详解】句意:——我不想每天早上练习说英语。——我认为你应该(练习)。熟能生巧。

gets up起床;gets away逃脱、离开;gets along相处(固定搭配“get along with sb.”意为“与某人相处”);gets together相聚、聚集。根据“Mary cares a lot about others’ feelings”可知,玛丽是一个非常顾及他人感受的人,因此她能够和周围的每个人“相处融洽”。表示“与某人相处”应用固定搭配“get along with sb.”,因主语Mary为单数第三人称,动词应用单三形式gets along。
10. —Did you know Linda passed the piano exam?
—________. She practices two hours every day.
A. It can’t be true B. That’s amazing
C. It comes as no surprise D. I can’t believe it
【答案】C
【解析】
【详解】句意:——你知道琳达通过钢琴考试了吗?——这并不让人感到意外。她每天都练习两个小时。
It can’t be true.这不可能是真的;That’s amazing.那太棒了/太令人惊叹了;It comes as no surprise.这并不让人感到意外/完全是意料之中的事;I can’t believe it.我真不敢相信。根据答语中的“She practices two hours every day.”可知,琳达平时付出了极大的努力,因此她顺利通过钢琴考试属于理所应当、顺理成章的事情。在四个选项中,“It comes as no surprise”意为“这不足为奇/这并不令人感到意外”,与后文解释其通过的必然原因在语意逻辑上完美契合,应填It comes as no surprise。

三、阅读理解
A
In middle school, English learning gradually (逐渐地) shifts (转换) from basic vocabulary and grammar to more complex (复杂的) reading comprehension (阅读理解) and writing skills. Here are some useful learning suggestions.
Firstly, vocabulary is the foundation (基础). You should not only remember the basic vocabulary in the textbook, but also read a lot of English extra reading materials. Reading an English article for 30 minutes every day can help you review and increase (增加) vocabulary.
Secondly, develop good reading habits. Avoid finger-reading and vocal-reading. Try to read in thought-group, which can improve reading speed and is useful to the overall understanding of sentences.
Thirdly, master some reading skills. Before reading the whole article, quickly read the title, the first and last sentences of each paragraph, which can help you quickly understand the structure of the article. While reading, mark the important words and phrases, which are often the clues (线索) to understanding the article. After reading, summarize the main idea of each paragraph in one or two sentences, which is helpful to improve your logical thinking.
Finally, don’t forget to review and reflect. After reading an article, look back on the main idea of the article and the author’s point of view, and think about whether you have fully understood the content of the article. This can help you better master the knowledge and improve your learning ability.
26. According to the passage, how can we increase vocabulary?

Several years ago, my parents bought some comic (漫画) books to help my elder brother relax. He wasn’t interested, but I thought they were great fun. These comics had all the things I liked best—good stories, clever drawings and comedies. I started drawing my own comics and now I have a blog where I put my works.
Drawing comics takes a lot of time, and I’m still in school. There’s a lot of schoolwork and it keeps me busy. Sometimes I draw during my breaks, but mainly I do it at home, where I can put on my headphones and focus. That’s when I get the most done. Fans sometimes contact (联系) me on my blog and it’s good to write back to them.
Last year, I went to a national youth comic festival. I found most other teenagers used computers to draw. Although I know how to do that and it can help me save time, I honestly would rather draw by hand. That’s how I began to draw.
Because of the success of my blog, there are articles about me in newspapers and magazines. I usually draw by myself, so I’m not used to all those! I was surprised when they called me the coolest teenager. Me? My friend would laugh at that! However, one amazing thing about it is that some of my comic-writing heroes have written to congratulate me on my success. I couldn’t feel better!
The next thing I need to do is to develop my art skills. I will go for a comic course in the school holidays.
34. Who were the comic books for?
A. The writer’s parents. B. The writer’s elder brother.
C. The writer himself. D. The writer’s comic-writing heroes.

A. Because he can pay attention to drawing.
B. Because he can get help from his parents.
C. Because he can contact his fans on the blog.
D. Because he doesn’t want his classmates to know his works.
36. What does the underlined word “congratulate” mean?
A. Laughing at someone. B. Giving someone a surprise.
C. Being patient with someone. D. Giving someone good wishes.
37. What’s the main idea of this article?
A. How to become a successful comic writer through a blog.
B. The history of comic books and how they influence teenagers.
C. A teenager’s experience of drawing comics and his growth in it.
D. The differences between hand-drawn comics and computer-drawn comics.

根据前句“Making lacquer fans is not only fun but also meaningful.制作漆扇既有趣又有意义”可知,A选项“它帮助年轻人了解中国文化和历史”解释了“有意义”的具体体现,且呼应后文“This old art form is becoming new again in the hands of young Chinese.这一古老艺术在年轻人手中重获新生”。故选A。

I showed my Drawing Number One to the grown-ups, and asked them whether the drawing frightened them. But they answered: “Frighten? For a hat?” In fact, my drawing was not a hat. It was a picture of a big snake digesting (消化) an elephant. But since the grown-ups were not able to understand it, I made another drawing: I drew the elephant inside of the big snake, so that the grown-ups could see it clearly. They always need to have things explained. My Drawing Number Two looked like the picture.
The grown-ups’ response (回答), this time, was to advise me to lay aside my drawings of the big snake, whether from the inside or the outside, and devote myself instead to geography, history, arithmetic and so on. That is why, at the age of six, I gave up what might have been a magnificent career (职业) as a painter. I had been depressed (使沮丧) by the failure of my Drawing Number One and my Drawing Number Two. Grown-ups never understand anything by themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them.
So then I chose another job, and learned to fly airplanes. I have flown a little over all parts of the world; and it is true that geography has been very useful to me. At a glance I can distinguish (辨别) China from Arizona. If one gets lost in the night, such knowledge is valuable. In the course of this life I have had lots to do with lots of serious people. I have spent a lot of time with grown-ups. I have seen them intimately, close at hand. And that hasn’t much improved my opinion of them.
66. How many pictures did the writer draw in Paragraph 1?

三、阅读理解
A
In middle school, English learning gradually (逐渐地) shifts (转换) from basic vocabulary and grammar to more complex (复杂的) reading comprehension (阅读理解) and writing skills.
A. Only by learning the words in the textbook.
B. By reading a lot of English extra reading materials.

C. To better master the knowledge and improve learning ability.
D. To finish the reading task.

35. Why does the writer finish most works at home?
