My Music Story
The present that changed my life was the guitar my father bought me for my eighth birthday. I spent the next several months learning to play the guitar. I often sat next to my father while he showed me how to play a song. Then I went to my room and practised until my fingers hurt. I had a lot of trouble at first. But gradually, I became good at playing the guitar.
Some of my schoolmates invited me to join their band. At first, I was too shy to play in front of people. Then I realized that I enjoyed music more when I shared it with others. We had great fun playing music, and I made good friends with those in the band. Nowadays, our band is getting more and more popular. We often take part in performances both inside and outside our school.
Although I have become busier this year, I still love playing the guitar and manage to find time for it. Music makes me happy when I am feeling sad, and it relaxes me when I am stressed. It will always be part of my life.
