第二部分 阅读理解(共两节,满分40分)
第一节 阅读理解(共15小题,每小题2分,满分30分)
A
At times, we all want to look more like someone else. However, the pictures we see on TV and social media can give us improper ideas about how our bodies “should” look. The truth is that everybody is different—and that’s a good thing. Accepting and feeling good about our bodies are really important for our self-confidence.
Body confidence is when someone accepts and behaves kindly towards their body: That includes our size and shape, skin colour, appearance and any physical disabilities. Having body confidence is “about being accepting of your body and what it does for you”.
If you feel positive about your body, you are more likely to take care of it. Then you are more likely to take part in activities and perform well in school. However, feeling agitated about your body could make you do less well at school. The cost of trying to achieve the “perfect” appearance is high. If you’re spending a lot of time trying to look beautiful, you will have less time to spend with friends and to make important memories.
It’s important to remember that everybody is different. To develop a positive body image, you should try to talk positively about your own body and other people’s bodies. Try not to pay too much attention to appearance. Instead, think about what your body does for you: “do your legs make you run really fast?” You can treat your body well by eating different kinds of foods, exercising to feel good and to have fun, and getting plenty of sleep.
Remember that you are more than how you look.
16.What does body confidence include according to the passage?
a. Size and shape. b. Skin colour. c. Appearance. d. Physical disabilities.
A.ab B.abcd C.abc D.ac
17.The underlined word “agitated” means________ in the passage.

18.We can read this passage from the________ part of a magazine.

【答案】16.B 17.D 18.C
【导语】本文是一篇说明文,讨论了身体自信的重要性,指出接受和善待自己的身体对自信心的积极影响,并给出了培养积极身体形象的建议。
【详解】16.文章第二段指出“That includes our size and shape, skin colour, appearance and any physical disabilities.”,说明身体自信包括体型、肤色、外貌和身体残疾。
17.文章第三段指出“However, feeling agitated about your body could make you do less well at school.”,与“feel positive”形成对比,说明对身体感到焦虑、不安会导致学业表现下降,由此推断“agitated”意为“焦虑不安的”。
18.本文讨论身体自信、自我接纳和健康生活方式,主题属于健康和心理范畴。由此推断,本文最可能出自杂志的健康板块。
B
阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。
Hua Luogeng was born in 1910 in a small town in Jiangsu. At about fifteen, he left school to help his family’s small shop. He loved maths, so he taught himself — studying at home, then walking to the town library for old books. People called the boy strange: a shop helper who asked questions about numbers all day.
Two years later, Hua arrived in Beijing with no diploma. He worked in the library of Tsinghua University: mornings at his desk, evenings reading maths for five hours. He read the way he always had — take small notes, then write a short summary in his own words.
In 1930, a paper by this young library worker caught a professor’s eye, and it changed everything: within a few years, Hua was teaching at Tsinghua without ever finishing high school. He later became one of the world’s greatest mathematicians, and he never forgot his method of reading: first, a book is heavy and thick; then you understand it so well that it becomes light and thin. His students said his class was easy to follow — he never forgot what it felt like to learn alone.
He often said, “Wisdom comes from hard work, and genius lies in accumulation.” For Hua, accumulation was never luck — it was one page, one note, one summary at a time.
19.What is the right order of events in Hua’s life?
a. He worked in the library of Tsinghua University.
b. He left school to help his family.
c. His paper caught a professor’s eye.

D.Hua’s method worked only in maths class.
22.What is the text mainly about?
A.A famous university library in Beijing.
B.How to keep notes and write summaries.

20.根据文章第4段“it was one page, one note, one summary at a time”可推知accumulation指的是通过一页页笔记长时间积累下来的东西,即 the things one collects over time。

In China, short dramas are getting more and more popular these days. A short drama usually lasts only a few minutes per episode (集). Why do so many people love them? There are some important reasons.
First, people now live a busy life. They have only small pieces of free time, like when they are on the bus or before sleeping. Short dramas fit this kind of “fragmented (碎片化的) time” well. People can finish one episode easily in their free time.
Second, short dramas tell simple but exciting stories. Many of them have plots (情节) like “becoming better and beating others”. These stories help people feel relaxed and let out their stress from daily life. The fast-paced stories also bring strong feelings to viewers.
Third, short dramas have many different topics, such as love, city life and growth. Some stories are close to people’s real life. This makes it easy for viewers to feel connected with the characters.
Last, making and spreading short dramas is not hard. They take a short time to make—usually one to two weeks. And they spread quickly on social media platforms like TikTok. Big video platforms, such as Tencent Video, also support short dramas a lot.

A.Hua finished college before he could teach.
B.Where you start does not decide where you end up.
C.Only library jobs can find real talent.
D.Hua’s method worked only in maths class.
22.What is the text mainly about?
A.A famous university library in Beijing.
B.How to keep notes and write summaries.
C.The small shop that taught China maths.
D.How a self-taught learner became a great mathematician.

23.What is the main idea of the passage?
A.How to make short dramas B.Why short dramas are popular in China
C.When people watch short dramas D.Where to watch short dramas

C.④→②→①→③ D.④→①→②→③
26.What can we learn from the passage?
A.A short drama lasts 1 hour per episode. B.Short dramas only tell love stories.
C.People can watch short dramas on social media. D.Making a short drama takes months.

Do you know how to deal with your feelings when you are upset? Everyone may feel sad, worried or angry sometimes. These feelings are normal, but if you keep bad feelings inside for too long, they will be bad for your health and study. Here are some useful ways to cheer yourself up when you are in a bad mood.
First, talk to someone you trust. Many teenagers choose to keep their problems to themselves. They are afraid that others will laugh at them or think they are strange. Just speaking out your feelings will also make you feel relaxed.
Second, do some sports or outdoor activities. Doing exercise can make your body produce special things that make you happy. You can go running, play basketball or swim in your free time. If you don’t like sports, you can take a walk in the park, enjoy the fresh air and beautiful flowers. Being close to nature can calm your mind and drive away bad moods.
Third, do something you enjoy. Everyone has hobbies. You can read interesting storybooks, listen to soft music or draw pictures. Hobbies can take your attention away from your troubles. When you put your heart into your favorite things, you will forget unhappiness little by little. You can also watch funny cartoons or comedies. Laughter is the best medicine for a bad mood.
Fourth, learn to think in a different way. Sometimes bad feelings come from our wrong ideas. If you fail an exam, don’t always think you are stupid. Instead, find out the reasons and try to do better next time. Learn to accept small mistakes and encourage yourself all the time.
Life is full of ups and downs. Bad feelings are just small parts of life. Use these ways properly, and you will become a happy and confident person.
