If the project can generate more energy than it consumes, it will demonstrate the practicability of fusion power. Lead researcher Song Yuntao described the project 8 “an exploration into unknown territory”. BEST represents the next stage in China’s long-term nuclear research, following the success of the EAST reactor, which has operated since 2006 9 has achieved several important results. Since 2018, China has increased 10 (invest) in major scientific projects, including space exploration and quantum (量子) technology, with BEST now a key part of this broader effort. A growing number of foreign Internet users are embracing a lifestyle trend 1 (call) “Becoming Chinese,” where they adopt everyday habits commonly associated with Chinese culture. The trend was sparked by Chinese-American TikTok creator Sherry. In 2 video, she jokingly told viewers: “Tomorrow, you’re turning Chinese. I know it 3 (sound) too much, but 4 (resist) it now is pointless.” In the clip, Sherry discusses winter wellness habits inspired by traditional Chinese medicine, including avoiding cold foods, drinking warm water, wearing slippers indoors, 5 eating cooked vegetables instead of raw foods. Her playful tone clicked with audiences, and the video quickly 6 (draw) around 30 million likes. The post triggered a wave of imitation and commentary, with foreign users humorously declaring their own “ 7 (transform).” The trend has since spread across multiple social media platforms. Reactions have been 8 (large) positive, with many viewers describing the practices 9 “healthy” and “effective.” The trend has also attracted attention in China, 10 the netizens have reacted with amusement and pride. “I used to think foreigners only drank cold water because they were healthier,” one Chinese commenter wrote. “It turns out they just didn’t know the benefits of warm water.” 二、阅读理解 A (25-26高二下·湖南长沙·期末)The four familiar words physicians always fear come when the office visit is ending, the doctor’s hand reaching for the door. “Oh, by the way,” the patient says. “Should I be worried about this chest pain I’ve been having?” The doctor has to go back into the room and start over again. Doctors call it “the doorknob phenomenon”. Doctors’ rushed schedules and patients’ natural hesitation to reveal frightening or embarrassing symptoms (症状) make those questions at the doorknob almost unavoidable, but medical schools increasingly are teaching students how to avoid such situations. Dr. Rita Charon at Columbia University’s medical school encourages doctors-in-training to signal some desire to hear about patients and their greatest concerns. She teaches a method she has adopted with her own new patients, whom she tells: “I’m going to be your doctor and I need to know a lot about your health and your body and your life.” Then she stops talking, and doesn’t write anything down or check the computer — she just listens. “When I did this the first time, the patient started crying, saying ‘No one ever let me do this before,’” Charon said. Another patient Nancy Conley says embarrassment led to her own doorknob questions about smelly feet. She sometimes talked herself out of mentioning it at all, trying to downplay it in her mind during the visit. Charon’s advice to doctors for avoiding such resistance is to slow down. A rushed atmosphere can make patients feel uncomfortable about mentioning bothersome issues. Instead, doctors should take a moment to imagine what it’s like to be the patient. “This could help break the ice,” Charon said. Margaret Fitzpatrick, a nurse at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, says patients can help, too, by writing down questions to ask the doctor before each visit. “People need to be better prepared for the experience of going to the doctor,” Fitzpatrick said. “So if they have a strange spot on their neck, they need to take the responsibility of bringing it up rather than hoping that the doctor will see it and bring it up.” 1.What is “the doorknob phenomenon”? A.Doctors ignore patients’ problems. B.Doctors rush to end appointments. C.Patients forget their mild symptoms. D.Patients keep key issues till the last. 2.What is the core of Charon’s method mentioned in paragraph 3? A.Respecting patients’ personal privacy. B.Allowing patients to release emotions. C.Showing professionalism to patients. D.Encouraging patients to open up. 3.How can doctors prevent “the doorknob phenomenon” according to Charon? A.By skipping patients’ bothersome issues. B.By putting themselves in patients’ shoes. C.By advising patients to make frequent visits. D.By telling patients to write down their questions. 4.What does Fitzpatrick expect patients to do? A.Raise their concerns actively. B.Ask few off-topic questions. C.Trust the doctor’s judgment. D.Record the doctor’s evaluation. B (25-26高二下·广东广州·期末)Scientists have found that when using artificial intelligence (AI) to solve problems, people tended to put too much faith in the quality of the answers, with the most experienced AI users doing so the most. As we become more AI-literate, the researchers expected participants to be better at interacting with AI systems and judging their performance. “Instead, our findings reveal a significant inability to assess one’s performance accurately when using AI,” said Robin Welsch, a computer scientist who co-authored the report. In the study, scientists gave 500 subjects logical reasoning tasks with half allowed to use ChatGPT. Both groups were later quizzed on both their AI literacy and how well they thought they performed. The reasons behind the findings are varied. Because AI users were usually satisfied with their answer after only one prompt, accepting the answer without further checking or confirmation, they can be said to have engaged in what Welsch calls cognitive offloading, examining the question with reduced reflection and approaching it in a more shallow way. Less engagement in our own reasoning, termed metacognitive monitoring, means we skip the usual feedback loops of critical thinking, which reduces our ability to judge our performance accurately. Even more revealing was the fact that we all overestimate our abilities when using AI, regardless of intelligence, with the gap between high and low-skill users shrinking. The team warned of several consequences as AI becomes more widespread. Firstly, metacognitive accuracy overall might suffer. As we rely more on results without rigorously questioning them, a trade-off emerges whereby user performance improves but an appreciation of how well we do with tasks declines. Without reflecting on results, error checking or deeper reasoning, we risk weakening our ability to find reliable information. What’s more, we may continue to overestimate our abilities while using AI, with the more AI-literate doing so even more, leading to more miscalculated decision-making and a loss of skills. One method the study suggests to arrest such decline is to have AI encourage further questioning from users through confidence scores or prompts like “How confident are you in this answer?” or “What might you have missed?” 1.How do skilled AI users typically act when using AI? A.They tend to question AI’s responses frequently. B.They excel at interacting with various AI systems. C.They challenge AI answers more than beginners do. D.They fail to judge their own performance accurately. 2.Which of the following situations best illustrates “cognitive offloading”? A.Reviewing notes before an exam to memorize facts. B.Double-checking answers with a portable calculator. C.Analyzing patient history before making a diagnosis. D.Following GPS directions without checking road signs. 3.What does the underlined word “trade-off” in paragraph 5 mean? A.Gain. B.Balance. C.Loss. D.Substitute. 4.What is the scientists’ major concern regarding widespread AI use? A.The gap between experienced and low-skill AI users is widening. B.AI use may weaken users’ ability to find any reliable information. C.Humans may lose their capacity for self-evaluation and critical thinking. D.Short-term performance improves at the cost of long-term memory skills. C (26-27高二上·河南驻马店·开学考试)Have you ever seen photos that look surprisingly real but are actually fake (假的)? Recently, Hollywood actress Zendaya shared artificial wedding photos of herself and her partner Tom Holland online. Many people were cheated by these images, showing how hard it is to tell real photos apart from AI-generated ones. In 2024 or early 2025, common issues such as abnormal hands and unusual lighting served as warning signs of AI images. However, those tells are quickly disappearing and AI photos can now achieve amazing realism through advanced technology and better computer algorithms (算法). One key technology behind this is the Generative Adversarial (对抗的) Network (GAN), which is developed by the University of Toronto and has two sub-models, a “Generator” and a “Discriminator”. They work against each other: the Generator learns to create images, while the Discriminator checks if they are real or fake. If the Discriminator finds an image is fake, the Generator gets feedback and improves its work. Over time, the Generator gets better at copying real photos exactly, making even the smallest details look real. Last year, Microsoft conducted a study using an online test called “Real or not?” Participants were asked to tell if photos were real or AI-generated. According to the results, people could only correctly recognize 62% of the images — slightly higher than if you were to flip a coin. The study found that people were better at recognizing real human portraits, but struggled with natural scenes and city landscapes. Laws and regulations (规则) are now being put in place, such as China’s 2025 rule on clearly marking all AI-generated content and the European Union’s 2026 mandatory disclosure (强制性披露) for AI content. However, the best advice is to learn to critically judge media by ourselves. “This is one such tool that requires no expensive technology; only a willingness to look, listen, and learn,” Shaun Nolan, a professor at Malmo University in Sweden, wrote on The Conversation. 1.What did Zendaya’s experience show? A.AI images can easily fool many people. B.AI wedding photos are popular online. C.Her personal life is often shared on the Internet. D.People can clearly tell fake photos from real ones. 2.What is the main purpose of paragraph 3? A.To compare the two sub-models of GAN. B.To explain how AI creates highly realistic fake images. C.To prove AI-generated images can be easily recognized. D.To introduce the history of the Generator and Discriminator. 3.What does the author suggest readers do to deal with AI images? A.Follow EU rules strictly. B.Buy costly hi-tech tools. C.Learn to judge critically. D.Trust new regulations totally. 4.Where is the text most probably taken from? A.A photography textbook. B.A fashion and lifestyle journal. C.A computer operation handbook. D.A science and technology magazine. D (26-27高二上·山东·开学考试)The rapid progress of technology means that ideas that once appeared in films are gradually becoming realities. 1 Seeing them smoothly deliver food has been a reality in the service industry. Robot waiters are automated (自动化的) machines that are designed to copy the role of waiters as much as possible. At present, the function of robot waiters is generally limited to delivering food and removing dirty dishes. 2 They hope one day robot waiters can effectively remove the need for human front-of-house staff members. 3 Robot waiters can work full days without the need to take a break. One popular machine, Bellabot, can be rented for as little as $1,215 a month, making it a much cheaper replacement for a human worker even at the lowest pay rate. As to their basic functions, robot waiters are often capable of greeting customers, with some having a screen like a face. They use self-driving technology to find the way. Now most robot waiters operate on wheels. 4 Some producers of robot waiters argue that their products are not designed to replace human workers at all. Instead, they take care of less significant tasks, allowing workers to focus on human-to-human communication with customers. 5 One Florida restaurant chain even claimed that the staff received even bigger tips once they began using a robot waiter as they had more time to speak to and connect with customers. A.One familiar example is the wide use of smart robots. B.Steps have been taken to make some robot waiters less cold. C.So stairs and outdoor areas can still represent major challenges. D.However, companies are working to develop the abilities of robots. E.They are able to work endlessly for as long as their battery life allows. F.Naturally, robot waiters are an attractive option for some business owners. G.This change can benefit human workers by improving their service quality. E (25-26高二下·辽宁朝阳·期末)Digital Medicine Could the next suggestion from your doctor be downloading an app? Collectively known as digital medicine, a large number of apps in use or under development can now detect or monitor mental and physical disorders or directly administer therapies. 1 Many detection aids rely on mobile devices to record such features as users’ voices, locations, facial expressions, exercise and sleep; then they apply artificial intelligence to mark the possible change of a condition. Some smart watches, for instance, contain a sensor that automatically detects and warns people of a dangerous heart rate. 2 These wearable detection aids will not replace a doctor any time soon but can be helpful partners in stressing concerns that need follow-up. 3 Some are being developed to detect things such as cancerous DNA, stomach bleeds, body temperature and oxygen levels. The sensors inside your body can then send the data to apps for recording. 4 For the most part, those intended to diagnose or treat disorders must be proved safe and effective in clinical trials and earn regulatory approval; some may need a doctor’s permission. Clearly, society must move into the future of digital medicine with care — ensuring that the apps go through strict testing, protect privacy and go smoothly into doctors’ work. With such protections in place, healthcare costs could be saved by marking unhealthy behaviors and helping people to make changes before diseases set in. 5 For researchers, the patterns that emerge will provide them with novel ideas for how best to build healthier habits and prevent diseases. A.Not all healthcare apps can be used as digital medicine. B.Digital medicine has been widely used in all aspects of life nowadays. C.Detection aids can also take the form of eatable and sensor-bearing pills. D.For doctors, applying AI to the data could help them personalize patient care. E.They can both help diagnose symptoms and enhance traditional medical care. F.Other similar tools can detect breathing disorders, depression and other conditions. G.These data also help doctors detect diseases and help patients change their behaviors. 三、完形填空 A (25-26高二下·河南信阳·期末)The earthquake struck Darfur intensely. 根据第一段中“The four familiar words physicians always fear come when the office visit is ending, the doctor’s hand reaching for the door. “Oh, by the way,” the patient says. “Should I be worried about this chest pain I’ve been having?” The doctor has to go back into the room and start over again. Doctors call it “the doorknob phenomenon”.(医生问诊即将结束、手已经搭上门把手时,总会听到一句熟悉的、让医生十分害怕的话。病人会说:“对了,顺便问一下,我最近一直胸痛,要不要紧?”这时医生只能折回诊室,重新问诊。医学界把这种情况称作“门把手现象”。)”可知,患者到最后一刻才说出关键健康问题,这就是门把手现象。 2.细节理解题。根据第三中“She teaches a method she has adopted with her own new patients, whom she tells: “I’m going to be your doctor and I need to know a lot about your health and your body and your life.” Then she stops talking, and doesn’t write anything down or check the computer — she just listens.(她传授了一种自己用来接诊初诊病人的方法。她会对病人说:“我将会是你的主治医生,我需要充分了解你的健康状况、身体情况和日常生活。”说完她便不再讲话,不做记录、不查看电脑,只是静静倾听。)”可知,这套方法核心是鼓励患者敞开心扉倾诉。 3.细节理解题。根据第六段中“Charon’s advice to doctors for avoiding such resistance is to slow down. A rushed atmosphere can make patients feel uncomfortable about mentioning bothersome issues. Instead, doctors should take a moment to imagine what it’s like to be the patient. “This could help break the ice,” Charon said.(Charon建议医生想要消除患者这种抗拒,问诊节奏要放缓。仓促紧张的氛围会让患者不好意思说出烦心问题。反之,医生应该花点时间想象一下作为病人的感觉。Charon表示:“这样能有效打破医患之间的隔阂。”)”可知,医生要设身处地为患者着想,预防“门把手现象”。 4.细节理解题。根据第七段中“Margaret Fitzpatrick, a nurse at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, says patients can help, too, by writing down questions to ask the doctor before each visit. “People need to be better prepared for the experience of going to the doctor,” Fitzpatrick said. (奥克朗市艾德沃克特基督医疗中心的护士Margaret Fitzpatrick表示,患者也可以提供帮助,每次就诊前把要问医生的问题写下来。Fitzpatrick说:“人们看医生前需要做好更充分的准备。”)”可知,Fitzpatrick希望患者主动说出自身担忧。 B (25-26高二下·广东广州·期末)Scientists have found that when using artificial intelligence (AI) to solve problems, people tended to put too much faith in the quality of the answers, with the most experienced AI users doing so the most. 根据第一段“Scientists have found that when using artificial intelligence (AI) to solve problems, people tended to put too much faith in the quality of the answers, with the most experienced AI users doing so the most. (科学家发现,当使用人工智能(AI)解决问题时,人们往往过度信任答案的质量,其中经验最丰富的AI使用者最为明显。)”以及第二段“ “Instead, our findings reveal a significant inability to assess one’s performance accurately when using AI,” said Robin Welsch, a computer scientist who co-authored the report. (“相反,我们的研究结果表明,在使用人工智能时,人们很难准确评估自己的表现。”报告的合著者、计算机科学家罗宾·韦尔施表示。)”可知,熟练的AI用户恰恰无法准确判断自己的表现。 2.推理判断题。根据第三段“Because AI users were usually satisfied with their answer after only one prompt, accepting the answer without further checking or confirmation, they can be said to have engaged in what Welsch calls cognitive offloading, examining the question with reduced reflection and approaching it in a more shallow way. (因为AI用户通常在仅一次提示后就对答案感到满意,不进一步检查或确认就接受答案,他们可以说是进行了Welsch所说的认知卸载,以减少反思的方式审视问题,以更肤浅的方式处理。)”可知,“认知卸载”指不加反思地接受外部信息而不主动核实。D项“不查看路标就跟着GPS导航”正是不加思考地接受外部指引、缺乏主动验证的典型表现,最符合“认知卸载”的定义。 3.词句猜测题。根据第五段“As we rely more on results without rigorously questioning them, a trade-off emerges whereby user performance improves but an appreciation of how well we do with tasks declines. (当我们更多地依赖结果而不严格质疑它们时,一个trade-off出现了:用户表现提高了,但对自己完成任务能力的认知却下降了。)”可知,这里描述的是一种得失之间的平衡——获得了短期性能提升,却失去了自我认知能力。“trade-off”意为“权衡、平衡”。 4.推理判断题。根据第五段“Firstly, metacognitive accuracy overall might suffer. (首先,整体上元认知准确性可能会受到影响。)”以及“Without reflecting on results, error checking or deeper reasoning, we risk weakening our ability to find reliable information. (不经过对结果的反思、错误检查或更深入的推理,我们有可能削弱寻找可靠信息的能力。)”,再结合全文核心观点——人们使用AI时减少批判性思考和自我反思,可知科学家最大的担忧是人类可能丧失自我评估和批判性思维的能力。 C (26-27高二上·河南驻马店·开学考试)Have you ever seen photos that look surprisingly real but are actually fake (假的)? 根据第一段中的“Recently, Hollywood actress Zendaya shared artificial wedding photos of herself and her partner Tom Holland online. 【答案】1.A 2.D 3.F 4.C 5.G 【导语】本文主要介绍了机器人服务员的发展现状、功能特点、使用优势、技术局限性以及与人类员工的互补关系。 1.由上文“The rapid progress of technology means that ideas that once appeared in films are gradually becoming realities.(科技的快速发展意味着曾经出现在电影中的想法正逐渐变成现实。)”以及下文“Seeing them smoothly deliver food has been a reality in the service industry.(看到它们顺利送餐已经成为服务业的现实。)”可知,上文阐述了科技发展让电影中的想法变成现实,下文说明了智能机器人送餐已经成为现实,本空承接上文总述,引出下文机器人送餐实例,选项A表示“一个熟悉的例子是智能机器人的广泛使用”,能承上启下,符合题意。 2.由上文“At present, the function of robot waiters is generally limited to delivering food and removing dirty dishes.(目前,机器人服务员的功能通常仅限于送餐和收脏盘子。)”以及下文“They hope one day robot waiters can effectively remove the need for human front-of-house staff members.(他们希望有一天机器人服务员能有效取代人类前台员工。)”可知,上文阐述了目前机器人服务员功能有限,下文说明了公司希望未来机器人能取代人类员工,本空衔接现状与未来目标,选项D表示“然而,公司正在努力开发机器人的能力。”,能承上启下,符合题意。 3.本题在第三段段首,是段落主题句。根据下文“Robot waiters can work full days without the need to take a break. 【答案】1.E 2.F 3.C 4.A 5.D 【导语】本文主要介绍了数字医疗的概念与应用,包括各类检测辅助工具(如智能手表、可食用传感器药丸等)如何监测和诊断身心疾病,数字医疗应用需经过严格审批,同时分别从医生和科研人员两个层面,阐述其在个性化医疗、健康习惯建立和疾病预防方面的应用潜力。 1.由上文“Collectively known as digital medicine, a large number of apps in use or under development can now detect or monitor mental and physical disorders or directly administer therapies. In modern workplaces, AI can handle repetitive and complicated tasks efficiently. For students, intelligent learning platforms provide personalized learning plans and rich learning resources, allowing us to study whenever and wherever we want. In daily life, online intelligent services greatly bring convenience to our daily routines. However, every coin has two sides.
