(25-26七上·山东青岛市南区青岛超银中学-11月·期中)“Every year over 30 percent of the food in the world goes to waste,” says the FAO (联合国粮食及农业组织) . To stop food waste, people have come up with the great ideas.
①The world’s first food bank started in the US in 1967. People and shops give out their extra food to a place, and others in need go there to eat it, Shanghai has made a “share fridge” in the street. It stores (贮藏) cakes and food given by nearby markets and restaurants. It’s free for anyone to enjoy.
②The Real Junk Food Project is a company (公司) in the UK. It says that food past its sell-by date could still be OK to eat. So they collect such food from supermarkets, and put it on shelves in special cafes. There, the food has no price notes. If you don’t want to spend money, you can help do some work there.
③Dining halls in more than half of the US colleges are going tray-less (无托盘) . That means nowhere to put extra dishes. It makes it harder for students to take too much. This small change brings a big difference.

C. To collect food for people to enjoy for free.
D. To prevent students from taking too much dishes.
4.Match the title with each part.
a. Buy less b. Food bank c. Cook less food d. Pay as you feel e. Have two meals a day

(25-26七上·山东济南高新区·期中)“Are you an ‘i-person’ or an ‘e-person’?” Many young people online talk about this question these days. It’s part of a popular personality (性格) test called MBTI.
The MBTI test puts people into 16 personality types, like INFI, INTP, ESTP and ESFJ. The first letter is “I” or “E”. People are either “I” (they are usually quiet) or “E” (they are usually outgoing). But sometimes an “i-person” looks outgoing. For example, an “i-person” may talk a lot with friends who are quieter than him or her.
Many young people think it’s interesting to use MBTI results (结果) to talk about someone’s personality. I usually believe the results, but one day, I was surprised to see my sister Lucy make a study plan for the summer holiday. According to the test, she is a “p-person”. “P-persons” usually don’t like to make plans. “I thought (认为) you were a ‘p-person’,” I said. “Why do I need to listen to what the personality test tells me? It’s just for fun,” she answered. Yes, she was right. The test was just for fun, why should I take the result seriously?
Maybe the MBTI personality test tells you something about a person. And it can also be a thing to talk about when you meet new friends. However, the four letters don’t tell you everything about a person. Don’t let MBTI results tell you who you are.
1.How many kinds of personalities are there in the MBTI test?

3.What does the underline word “take…seriously” probably mean?

4.What can we know about the MBTI personality test?
A. It is no use to make an MBTI personality test.
B. It is the best way to get to know someone.
C. It can tell you everything about a person.
D. It is something you can talk about when making friends.
5.Where can we read this text?

(2026·山东日照·测试)Friends are important for everyone, but it’s not easy to find friends. For most students, true friends are harder to find. If you have some good friends, you should do your best to keep your friendships.
It’s the easiest to make friends and keep friendships with people who have the similar hobbies as you. You can spend happy and relaxing time together, and share your feelings about your interests. However, sometimes it’s not necessary for you to be the same. You may have different ideas and habits. Then trying to understand and respect each other seems to be more important.
The way you talk with your friends is important. When you talk with them, ask questions to help them start and keep talking. But don’t ask personal questions, such as their parents’ jobs and salaries (薪水). These questions will make them feel unhappy. They may dislike talking with you and try to walk away. In that way, you may lose some friends and your friends will be fewer and fewer.
Another important thing is listening. Listen carefully to what your friend is talking about, and respond in the right way. It doesn’t have to be with words. Body language can be enough to show that you’re listening. Talk about your ideas after your friend finishes his talking.

Passage 1
(25-26七上·山东青岛市南区青岛超银中学-11月·期中)As we all know, fish often swim silently in the water. However, recent research by Aaron Rice, a scientist at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, has shown that fish can talk. Rice and his team discovered that many fish use acoustic communication. It means that they use sounds to communicate with others, just like we use our voices to talk with each other.
Rice’s research has shown that fish have their own language and can communicate with each other in many different ways. This communication is important to fish because it helps them share important information and fish use different sounds for different reasons. Some fish use sounds to warn of danger—if a fish senses danger, it can warn other fish by making a special sound. They can also use a different sound to find other fish of their kind.
Rice’s team found some other interesting things. For example, one kind of fish can make a loud sound by using some parts of their body around their swim bladders (鱼鳔), which is an important part of the fish that can help them stay on the surface of water freely. Another kind of fish that Rice studied can use their swim bladders to make a sound that is similar to a human voice. Some scientists think that they can make that sound by rubbing (摩擦) their swim bladders together.
Now, thanks to Rice’s research, we understand more about fish and their amazing communication abilities. It also makes us think about the question: Is there something else or some more secrets about fish that we don’t know about? Questions are here and there but human beings will certainly find answers to all these questions in the near future.

A. Ways to warn.

①find answers ②warn of danger
③stay on the surface of water ④find other fish of their kind
A. ①② B. ①③ C. ②④ D. ③④
3.How does the writer support his opinion in Paragraph 3?
A. By listing numbers.
B. By comparing facts.
C. By giving examples.
D. By asking questions.
4.What can we infer from the last paragraph?
A. There are no more secrets about fish that we don’t know.
B. Scientists will give up on studying fish’s communication abilities.
C. People will be able to talk with fish directly in the near future.
D. There are still many unknown things about fish waiting to be discovered.

B. It is the best way to get to know someone.
C. It can tell you everything about a person.

5.Where can we read this text?

Scientists are studying something between music and remembering a foreign language like English. “Singing could be a new way of learning, especially for learning a foreign language. The brain likes to remember things in a catchy and relaxing way. For example, children can remember difficult words quickly when they are in a song,” said Dr. Karen Ludke. If children find it difficult to learn foreign languages, this new way may help. On his blog, Dr. Ludke wrote, “A listen-and-repeat (重复) singing way can help to learn foreign languages and open the door for future study in this area.”
