Have you heard of dazi? Have you ever found a dazi? These days, finding a dazi is becoming popular with young Chinese people. A dazi is a person we eat with, study with, exercise with or take a trip with, but we don’t know him or her before.
The dazi culture is about finding the right person to do the right activity with. Xiaoyue, a young woman from Ningxia, has met many dazi because of her love for basketball and biking. Having a dazi not only gives her company but also helps her enjoy sports more.
These dazi relationships are very different from close friendships. As for close friends, we need to stay in close contact. With a dazi, you don’t have to do so. Many dazi may not meet again after a trip or a game together. So, many people believe having a dazi makes their social life easier and more comfortable.
Finding a dazi shows that young Chinese people want clearer boundaries (界限) in their social relationships. Dazi will not talk or ask a lot about their personal lives. And they hope that these relationships can let them share their hobbies and interests, or that they can help them to improve themselves.
Although finding a dazi has many good points, we should be careful and put our safety first.

③To save time and money. ④To have boundaries in their social relationships.
A. ①②③ B. ①②④ C. ①③④ D. ②③④
35. What’s the best title for the passage?
A. Some Stories of Dazi B. How We Find a Dazi C. Dazi: special close friends D. Dazi: a new popular culture
C
Lu Ban came up with the idea of the ruler when he was young. Benjamin Franklin invented swim fins (蛙鞋) at the age of 11. The stories of the young inventors remind (提醒) people of children’s great creativity. Scientists agree that children are more creative than adults and that they have the power to create and invent.
Every invention starts with curiosity and a heart to explore. Children are naturally curious and have a spirit (精神) of discovery, which drives them to ask questions, explore problems, and try to solve them. Frank Epperson, at the age of 11, created the ice cream stick by accident. But the simple invention has transformed the way we eat ice cream, making it easier and more enjoyable for people of all ages.
What’s more, children can learn quickly and like turning new knowledge into practice (实践). They are not afraid to think differently and can challenge long-held ideas. They enjoy getting the sense of confidence and pride when they try out their ideas. It makes them take an active part in scientific experiments and create unexpected ideas.
Children’s ability to create is really valuable. Adults should encourage them and provide them with chances to explore the world. By doing so, children can help to make the world around them better.
36. How does the writer develop his idea in Paragraph 1?
A. By asking questions. B. By listing numbers. C. By giving examples. D. By comparing ideas.
37. What does the underlined word “transformed” in Paragraph 2 mean?
A. Prepared. B. Changed. C. Discovered. D. Studied.
38. How do children feel when they try out their ideas?
A. Proud. B. Surprised. C. Afraid. D. Relaxed.
39. What is the structure of the passage?
A. B. C. D.

The discovery of antibiotics (抗生素) has saved the lives of millions of people. Can you imagine living without electricity? What about the printing? Without the printing, you wouldn’t be reading this article. There are also great achievements in communications, such as the radio, the TV, computers, the internet, and mobile phones. We could probably live without them, but life wouldn’t be so interesting.
What about the arts? The arts have brought pleasure to many people, but are the songs more important than antibiotics? And are cartoons as important an achievement as going to space?
We must not forget humans’ early achievements. They used fire for cooking and heating and invented the wheel. We can’t imagine modern life without cooked food or cars.
What are humans’ greatest achievements? To answer the question, we need to decide what we mean by “great”. Is it anything that makes us rich or happy or saves lives? Or is it just anything that makes us say “Wow”? What do you think?
51. Many of humans’ great achievements are in ____________________.
52. Without ____________________, you wouldn’t be reading this article.

例文:
The greatest invention—the computer
In modern society, we can not imagine living in a world without computers.
Computers are very useful and helpful for us. We can learn knowledge and look up information online. We can listen to music or watch movies to relax ourselves after study. Besides, we can send emails to keep in touch with other people.
But computers also have problems. Spending too much time on them harms our eyesight and wastes our time. I think we should use computers wisely. We should use them for study and not spend too much time playing online.
