深度厚实解析:本题为主旨提炼类简答,核心采分点为“journey(旅途)”“exploration(探索)”“growth(成长)”三大核心名词,缺一不可。
They lack outdoor exploration courage and chances.

Growth on the Road

Upon noticing our school English newspaper is to hold a writing contest themed “Walk on the Road, Grow All the Way”, I am writing to share my opinions on road travel and teenage growth.
(I’m glad to take part in... / Learning that...),选用高级介词短语 Upon noticing 作状语,搭配高考核心 be to do 高阶结构。
Road travel serves as an irreplaceable lesson for teenagers’ all-round growth. It enables us to witness diverse landscapes, experience different local cultures and accumulate precious life wisdom, which can never be gained from textbooks. So valuable is outdoor exploration that it shapes our personality and broadens our horizons constantly.
Most teenagers nowadays are confined to indoor study and screen entertainment. Long-term indoor life makes their life experience limited and thinking narrow, leaving them lacking adaptive ability and exploratory spirit. Chances for outdoor exploration fading away, teenagers fail to develop comprehensive practical skills.
A proper balance between academic study and road exploration is always accessible for teenagers. The prioritization of daily study tasks and full use of holidays for outdoor exploration facilitates teenagers to combine textbook knowledge with real-life situations and achieve continuous self-reflection and growth.
Growth is a lifelong journey on the road, every outdoor exploration experience polishing one’s mind and strengthening teenagers to grow stronger, which in turn drives personal growth and helps teenagers become better versions of themselves.

While road travel brings abundant growth opportunities to teenagers, it also comes with potential risks and challenges that cannot be ignored. Outdoor road journeys involve unknown environments, complex traffic conditions and accidental emergencies, which may threaten teenagers’ personal safety if they lack proper guidance and self-protection awareness.
Unlike safe and stable indoor environments, road travel is full of uncertainties. Sudden bad weather, unfamiliar road conditions and unpredictable crowd situations may all bring troubles to young travelers. Teenagers who lack travel experience are more likely to make wrong judgments and fail to deal with emergencies properly.
Nevertheless, such risks do not mean that teenagers should refuse road travel. On the contrary, learning to avoid risks and deal with challenges on the road is also an important part of growth. Before traveling, teenagers should make full preparations, including checking travel strategies, learning safety knowledge and preparing emergency supplies. During the journey, they need to abide by traffic rules, keep alert at all times and avoid risky behaviors.
Schools and parents play an irreplaceable role in guiding teenagers’ road travel. They should popularize travel safety knowledge, teach teenagers to distinguish risks and make correct judgments. With scientific guidance and sufficient preparation, road travel can avoid potential dangers and bring maximum growth benefits to teenagers.
Road travel is a double-edged sword. It can nurture teenagers’ growth, broaden their horizons and shape their personality, but it also requires rational attitude and safe awareness. Only by balancing exploration and safety can teenagers truly gain growth from every journey on the road.

Dear Editor,
Upon noticing our school English newspaper is to hold a writing contest themed “Walk on the Road, Grow All the Way”, I am writing to share my opinions on road travel and teenage growth.
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua
