六、阅读理解。
Once there was a little boy named Tom. He had a good friend called Jerry. One day,
they had a big fight over a toy car. Tom was very angry and called Jerry bad names.
Jerry was sad and ran away. After Tom got home, he was still angry. But he thought
about what happened all night. He knew he was wrong—he shouldn't have called Jerry
names. He wanted to say sorry, but he was afraid Jerry would not forgive him.
The next morning, Tom took a deep breath and went to Jerry's house. He knocked on
the door softly. When Jerry opened the door, Tom said in a calm voice, "I'm sorry
for calling you names yesterday. I was wrong. Can we be friends again?"
Jerry looked at Tom and smiled. "I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have taken your toy
without asking." They both laughed and decided to share the toy car.
From that day on, when they disagreed with each other, they always sat down and
talked things out calmly. They learned that talking nicely is much better than fighting.
