1. —Do you often read a (报纸) in your free time?
—Yes, quite often.
2. I put the book back on the (架子) after reading it.
3. When Steve’s father used his computer in the evening, he could (不再) find some of his documents.
no ②
longer
4. Have you read any (最近的) science fiction novels?
5. I prefer (纸质书) to e-books because I like the feeling of turning pages.
6. (在某种程度上), reading can (开拓) your mind.
In part ② open up
第一空,括号内中文提示为“在某种程度上”,可用短语“In part”;第二空在“can”后为动词原形,“开拓”对应短语“open up”,故填In part;open up。
7. My mother allows me (play) games with you.
【答案】to play
故填to play。
She likes reading fashion .
Life beauty, if you have an eye for it.
【答案】is full of##is filled with
【解析】根据中英文对照可知,此处缺少“充满”,be full of/is filled with意为“充满”,主语Life是第三人称单数,此处be动词用is。故填is full of/is filled with。
My parents don’t me out with my friends.
【答案】① allow ② to ③ hang
【解析】原句中“允许、闲逛”是关键词,固定搭配为allow sb. to do sth.(允许某人做某事)、hang out(闲逛)。 故填allow;to;hang。
I believe that reading has me a lot with my and made me more about my future.
自信”的短语是make sb confident about...,more后接形容词原级构成比较级,所以第三空填形容词confident。
5. Honesty is more important than money. Our teacher told us.(合并宾语从句)
Our teacher told us honesty more important than money.
【答案】① that ② is
1. I ________ tea to coffee. What about you?
A. prefer B. like C. enjoy D. want
【答案】A
“prefer A to B”为固定搭配,意为“比起B更喜欢A”,应填prefer。
2. People ________ in cash when shopping, but now almost everyone ________ e-payment.
A. used to paying; is used to B. used to pay; is used to
C. used to paying; used to D. used to pay; used to
used to do sth.意为“过去常常做某事”;be used to意为“习惯于”。根据“People…in cash when shopping, but now”可知,第一空表示过去经常发生的动作,用used to pay,第二空表示现在的状态,即习惯于电子支付,用is used to。
