Like I have some news I have to share!
My friends open their ears to me.
They always listen, talk, and care.

Like my world is cold and darkest blue.
At those times my friends let me know,
They’re with me, standing strong and true.
Sometimes I feel mixed-up,
Like I just don’t know how I should feel.
My friends then help me work out
What’s right and wrong, what’s false and real!

Like I have some news I have to share!
• 主干:I have some news 我有一些消息I have to share 是定语从句,省略关系代词that,修饰先行词news,即“我要分享的消息”。
My friends then help me work out. What’s right and wrong, what’s false and real!
(to) do sth. 帮助某人做某事;work out 弄清楚、理清what’s right and wrong 和 what’s false and real 是两个宾语从句,作work out的宾语。
Passage B
During teenage years, friendship plays an important role in life. A good friend reaches for your hand and touches your heart. They listen to you, share experiences with you and help you improve. True friendship lowers loneliness and increases confidence.
But friendship can also lead to stress. Many teenagers spend a lot of time thinking about where they stand in their social group. The fear of losing friends can cause stress and sadness. Sometimes, the need to keep friendship brings more pressure than happiness.
Although teenagers know clearly what is right, the pressure to fit in can be very strong. When in a group, they may follow their friends and do the exact opposite of what they believe is right. They face a moral conflict (道德冲突): should they follow their friends or stick to what is right? Choosing between them is never easy.
Mark, a 14-year-old student, used to follow his friends blindly and keep silent when he disagreed. But everything changed when he saw them bullying (霸凌) a classmate. He felt ashamed and made a change. He chose to stand up for the classmate, even at the risk of losing friends. In the end, his courage brought him peace and respect.
Experts believe that experiencing the moral conflict is a necessary part of growing up. Learning how to set clear boundaries is the key. It is also important for teens to trust their own moral compass (准则)—knowing what is right and wrong. While it is natural to want acceptance, giving up your integrity just to be popular is never a good idea. In a word, teenagers should build true friendship on nothing but respect and integrity.
Friendship is important. It can make teenagers 1 . However, friendship can also lead to stress because teenagers may face the moral conflict. Mark’s story shows that teenagers should 2 . To deal with moral conflicts, 3 . They say setting clear boundaries and trusting the moral compass can help. In a word, true friendship should 4 .
Many teenagers spend a lot of time thinking about where they stand in their social group.
• 固定句型:spend time (in) doing sth.
While it is natural to want acceptance, giving up your integrity just to be popular is never a good idea.
• 从句:it is natural to want acceptance,it是形式主语,真正主语是to want acceptance。
• 主句主语是动名词短语 giving up your integrity;just to be popular 不定式表目的。
In a word, teenagers should build true friendship on nothing but respect and integrity.
• nothing but = only,意为“只不过、仅仅”,中考高频短语;
• build…on…:把……

Passage 2
Show Our Support
Sometimes our friends go through difficult times. They have to deal with illnesses or other big changes in their life. We probably wish we could do something to help but might not be sure how to do it. In fact, it’s a good beginning only if we want to support them. 11
Let them know we care
Our friends may feel like talking about their troubles, or they may not. If they want to share, we can help by listening. If they don’t, that’s OK, too. 12 We could show them that they are in our mind by making a card with a note inside, like “Thinking of you!” Making a video on our own or with a group is another method.
13
Our friends would like nothing more than to spend time with us. If possible, ask whether they would like to do something together such as taking a walk, watching a movie, or going to a concert. If they live far away, we could send them a special message to help them feel connected.
Finish small tasks
14 Our friends want to take part in our daily tasks as much as possible, although they are experiencing troubles. If possible, let them help with tasks like doing the dishes, taking care of a pet, or folding clothes. In the same way, our friends also want us to take more part in their small daily tasks. For example, if a friend has missed school, he wishes us to help with their schoolwork.
Talk to someone
Remember that our feelings are important, too. It is normal to worry about our friends, and it can be helpful to talk to a trusted adult, like a parent or a teacher. 15 This is better than looking up information on the Internet. If we get an adult’s help, we might find out more support for our friends.
A.Spend time together
B.We can consider the following ideas to show our support.
C.We can ask questions about anything we don’t understand.
D.They should finish the work alone without asking for support.
E.It’s important to let them know we care and will be there for them.
F.Another way to show our support is to finish small tasks with them.

Passage 2
On the third morning of his journey on Earth, the little prince met a fox in a wheat field. The fox looked at him carefully and said, “If you want to be my friend, you must tame (驯服) me.”
“What does ‘tame’ mean?” asked the prince.
It means to create a special connection, the fox explained. “Right now, you are just a boy like many others. If you tame me, we will need each other. To me, your footsteps will sound like music. Even the color of the wheat will remind me of your golden hair. Then, we will become unique (独一无二的) to each other.” “But I don’t have much time,” said the prince. “I need friends now.”
“The time you spend is what makes our friendship valuable,” replied the fox. “Start by sitting quietly a few steps away. Come closer each day. Don’t speak—words sometimes cause misunderstandings. Let trust grow slowly, like a flower opening to sunlight.”
After days of silent companionship (陪伴), the fox finally rested his head on the prince’s shoulder. “Why must good things end?” the prince whispered sadly.
“Tears are part of love,” said the fox. “But now, whenever I see golden wheat, I’ll remember you. Go back to look at those roses you once thought ordinary. You’ll understand why yours is special—because of the time you’ve shared.”

Passage 3
Do you have true friends? Do you want to know better between you and your friends? There are three different kinds of friends: “pest friends”, “guest friends” and “best friends”.
The first kind of friends is acquaintances (熟人). All you usually know about them is their names. You may meet this kind of friends at school, or on the bus, but you don’t miss them when they’re not around. When this kind of friends do something bad, you don’t tell them. That is why they are called “pest friends”.
The second kind of friends could be called “guest friends”. They are closer than acquaintances, but not as close as true friends. You know their names, a little of what they like or dislike, and a little of their family. You usually have a few things in common, but you don’t talk about anything deep, like wishes or fears, and they don’t open up to you about how they really feel.
The last kind of friends is the one you know the deepest, which is called the “best friends”. You are like family and know everything about each other. You have no problem staying at each other’s houses, and you share your deepest feelings and thoughts. They will correct you when you are wrong. They always care about you and never do anything bad to hurt you.
We all have our pest, guest and best friends. We should value all the friendship and remember: all best friends start out as just acquaintances.
15.If you and David are neighbors and classmates, and do things together, but don’t share your feelings, you are ________.
A.pest friends B.guest friends C.best friends D.true friends
16.What’s the fourth paragraph mainly about?
A.How to make a best friend.
B.How to learn from your best friend.
C.What a best friend is.
D.A best friend can correct you when you are wrong.
17.What can we learn from the last paragraph?
A.We shouldn’t tell our friends when they do something bad.
B.We should value all the friendship.
C.We should make every friend become our best friend.
D.We shouldn’t let acquaintances become best friends.
18.What is the best title for this passage?
A.What a true friend is B.Friendship is important
C.Three kinds of friends in life D.We like to make friends
Passage 4
In ancient times, in a city called Syracuse, there was a cruel King who treated his people very badly. The people were so unhappy that they planned to drive him away. The plan was discovered, and the king ordered the leaders to be killed.
One of the leaders was Damon. He lived far away and begged the King to let him go home to say goodbye to his family, promising he would come back to die on the set day.
The King did not believe him. “I will not let you go unless you find a friend to take your place in prison. If you don’t return on the day of your death, I will kill your friend instead.” The King thought, “No one would ever do such a thing.”
But Damon had a close friend named Pythias, who at once offered to stay in prison for him. The King was surprised but kept his word, so Pythias was put in prison.
Days passed, the day of death was near, and Damon still hadn’t come back. Every morning, Pythias looked out of the prison window, wondering if his friend was safe. The King went to see Pythias and said, “Your friend will never return.”
“You are wrong,” Pythias answered. “Damon will come if he can. He travels by sea, and bad winds have delayed him for days. I have no family, so I’d rather die for him than live without him.”
The king left, more surprised than ever.
The day of death came. Damon was still gone, and Pythias was taken to be killed. He said, “I may die for my friend. But remember: Damon is faithful (忠实的). You will see that he tried his best to return.”
At that moment, Damon came rushing in on a weak horse. His face was covered with dirt from the long ride. He took Pythias’s place at once and hugged him. “My dear friend, I made it! I was afraid I’d be too late.”
Pythias was not glad, for he did not want to live if his friend had to die.
The King saw everything. He finally believed their unselfish friendship, his heart softened, and he set them both free, even asking to be their friend too. The people in the square cheered loudly.
19.Why was Pythias put in prison?
A.Because he was a leader who planned against the King.
B.Because he tried to help Damon run away from the city.
C.Because the King discovered he was Damon’s closest friend.
D.Because he agreed to stay in prison for Damon.
20.How did Pythias probably feel when Damon was late?
A.He began to question Damon’s promise.
B.He still believed in Damon and was ready to die for him.
C.He got scared and asked the King to wait longer.
D.He felt cheated and sorry for his choice.
21.Which of the following pictures is NOT mentioned in the passage?

Passage 5
Recently, the topic “Never send chat screenshots (聊天截图) to your friends” has led to heated discussions online. What’s your idea on this?
I think we need to be careful when sharing chat screenshots. If they are about something private (私密的), we’d better not share them freely. It’s important to respect others’ privacy (隐私). If they are about casual (随意的) chats, it may be fine to share them.
However, even sharing casual chats can sometimes bring trouble. During the Spring Festival, I was chatting with a classmate about some funny things. I wanted to share a screenshot of our chat with another classmate, but I sent it to the wrong person. It was really embarrassing. So, we should pay special attention when sharing screenshots.
This is all about trust and boundaries (边界). We should think carefully before sharing chat screenshots, because some people feel it’s a betrayal (背叛) of trust to do that. A private chat is like a secret between friends. Sharing it without asking feels like breaking a promise. However, sometimes people share funny moments to bring friends closer.
The key, I think, is the purpose. Before you hit “send”, ask yourself: Would I be fine if someone shared my words like this? If there’s any doubt, it’s better to ask for permission first.
I once saw a friend share someone else’s private message. It made me wonder: Would she do the same to me? That uneasy feeling changed how much I trusted her. I think everyone’s personal information should be respected.
23.Did Jason send a chat screenshot to the wrong person during the Spring Festival?
24.What is a private chat like according to Helen?
25.What do Jason’s and Helen’s opinions have in common?
26.Will you send chat screenshots to your friends? Why or why not?
Passage 6

Friendship is a precious (珍贵的) gift that enriches our lives. Everyone needs friends, but true friendship is not common and it is very valuable. A good friend supports us through difficulties and doubles our joys. However, building such a strong friendship requires not only care but also effort. Here are some suggestions to help.
First, be there when your friend is in trouble. Do not run away; offer your time and attention. Listen sincerely to their worries without telling them what to do. Sometimes just being with them can make them feel less alone. Second, always be honest. Honesty is the base of trust. If you make a mistake, say sorry sincerely. Never hide the truth or keep your feelings to yourself. An honest friend is a friend you can trust. Third, no two people are the same. Accept your friend’s different habits and opinions. Do not try to change them to fit what you want. Respect creates room for harmony (和谐). Fourth, deal with conflicts (冲突) wisely. When you fight, do not run away or stay silent. Talk calmly, share your opinion, and listen to theirs. Find a fair solution that helps both of you. A conflict that is solved well can bring you closer. Fifth, small actions matter — lending a pen, carrying a bag, or cheering them up after a bad day. These small acts of kindness build lasting warmth.
Remember, friendship needs ongoing care. If you follow these suggestions, your friendship will become stronger, and you will have more valuable friends.
This passage is mainly about 27 . Here are five suggestions. First, stay with your friends and listen to them when they are in trouble. Second, be honest to get your friends’ trust. Third, 28 .
• nothing but = only,意为“只不过、仅仅”,中考高频短语;
• build…on…:把……
1.less lonely and more confident/feel less lonely and more confident 2.choose/stick to what is right instead of following their friends (blindly)/choose to do the right thing/stick to doing the right thing instead of following their friends (blindly) 3.experts offer/give two pieces of advice/two suggestions/two solutions (to teenagers)/experts provide two pieces of advice/two suggestions/two solutions for teenagers 4.be built on respect and integrity
1.根据第1段中的“True friendship lowers loneliness and increases confidence.”
2.根据第4段的“Mark, a 14-year-old student, used to follow his friends blindly and keep silent when he disagreed. But everything changed when he saw them bullying (霸凌) a classmate. He felt ashamed and made a change. He chose to stand up for the classmate, even at the risk of losing friends. In the end, his courage brought him peace and respect.”
3.根据第5段中的“Experts believe that experiencing the moral conflict is a necessary part of growing up. Learning how to set clear boundaries is the key. It is also important for teens to trust their own moral compass (准则)—knowing what is right and wrong.”
4.根据第5段中的“In a word, teenagers should build true friendship on nothing but respect and integrity.”

根据“borrowed my pens without asking”可知,这种行为是不礼貌的,应用impolite。
根据“It said…”

【答案】11.B 12.E 13.A 14.F 15.C
根据“In fact, it’s a good beginning only if we want to support them.”
观察本段内容,主要建议问朋友是否愿意一起做些事情,如“taking a walk, watching a movie, or going to a concert(散步、看电影或听音乐会)”。

根据“but make fun of him”可知,此处是固定搭配do nothing but do sth.,表示“除了做某事之外什么也没做”,故选B。
根据“how his grandpa so cleverly thought of a way to show him that...”

As the sun set, the prince repeated the fox’s final words: “What matters most can’t be seen with eyes. It must be felt with the heart.”

A.pest friends B.guest friends C.best friends D.true friends

B.How to learn from your best friend.
C.What a best friend is.
D.A best friend can correct you when you are wrong.
17.What can we learn from the last paragraph?
A.We shouldn’t tell our friends when they do something bad.
B.We should value all the friendship.
C.We should make every friend become our best friend.
D.We shouldn’t let acquaintances become best friends.
18.What is the best title for this passage?
A.What a true friend is B.Friendship is important
C.Three kinds of friends in life D.We like to make friends
【答案】15—18 BCBC

They are closer than acquaintances, but not as close as true friends...but you don’t talk about anything deep, like wishes or fears, and they don’t open up to you about how they really feel.”

A. B.
C. D.
22.What can we use to describe Damon and Pythias today?
A.A long and hard journey that finally brings success.
B.A promise that is too difficult for anyone to keep.
C.A situation where a powerful person is challenged.
D.A couple of friends who would die for each other.
第四段明确提到:“Pythias...offered to stay in prison for him”,即Pythias因同意替Damon坐牢被关进监狱。
20.第六段Pythias说:“Damon will come if he can...I’d rather die for him than live without him”,说明他仍相信Damon并愿为其赴死。
23.Yes, he did. 24.It is like a secret between friends.
25.They both think people should be careful when sharing chat screenshots and respect others’ privacy.
26.I will not send chat screenshots to my friends easily, because it may hurt others’ privacy and break the trust between friends, just as Jason and Helen mentioned.
【详解】23.Jason部分讲述经历:“During the Spring Festival, I was chatting with a classmate about some funny things. I wanted to share a screenshot of our chat with another classmate, but I sent it to the wrong person.”,说明他在春节期间把聊天截图发错了人,所以是肯定回答。
24.Helen部分给出定义:“A private chat is like a secret between friends.”,直接提取信息。
