(2026·吉林长春·中考真题)Xianghai National Nature Reserve (向海国家自然保护区) is home to birds. It is in Jilin Province, northeastern China. In 1986, it became a national nature reserve.
The Nature Reserve is more than 1,000 square kilometers in size. Much of its area is covered with wetlands, water, forests and plants. The special natural environment makes the Nature Reserve a wonderful place for birds.
Take white cranes (白鹤) as an example. They are a first-class nationally protected animals in China. In spring, white cranes move back to the Nature Reserve from the wintering area — Jiangxi’s Poyang Lake. In summer, baby cranes are born and grow up.

They would be afraid and fly away if we got closer,” a bird lover told the news reporter. “In 2025, the Nature Reserve welcomed a large number of white cranes. They searched for food, even with bird lovers just 20 meters away,” he added.
This change is the result of China’s long efforts to protect birds. In 1983, the Nature Reserve made a survey of the whole area and more than 210 kinds of animals were found. In 2021, the Nature Reserve finished building a smart platform (平台). Since then, new technologies have been used to keep an eye on bird activity, weather conditions and so on. (2026·吉林长春·中考真题)For years, historical places and the beauties of nature have been top choices for travelers. Today, a new way of traveling appears. It is a factory tour. It connects industry with tourism. Once-hidden factories are stepping out of their role as production centers to become popular places for visitors. For example, car factories, ship factories and food products factories are now receiving more and more young visitors.
In a famous car factory, visitors can watch modern production lines. Hundreds of robots work at the same time. Car parts are put together by robots. And the robots can send things to different areas in the factory without hitting other objects. Although visitors can’t understand all the working process, they describe the experience as eye-opening.
A ship factory in Shanghai offers over twenty courses to students. Every year, many students go on a school trip to the factory to get some knowledge about shipbuilding. Seeing the modern technology, students are interested and encouraged.
Food factories are also popular. Through 3D technology, visitors can watch how ancient people made food. The technology offers visitors a chance to learn the secret of making delicious food in the old days. Besides, visitors can taste different kinds of food and even learn to make local dishes.
Compared with traditional tours, “factory tours” can not only make visitors have much fun, but also allow them to learn about science and technology. Some visitors joke, “Getting a factory tour ticket is much harder than getting a concert ticket.”

(2025·吉林长春·中考真题)Not long ago, a photo of the football players in my college showed up on my phone as a “memory”, which was kept through the digital memory (数字记忆). I was surprised to see the photo at first and sweet memories flashed into my mind.
In the photo, the players from the football team hugged together in excitement after they won the game. At that time, I took a photo of them with my phone. It recorded the friendship and the happiness. Then, I fell into the habit of taking photos of everything. More and more photos filled my phone so I almost forgot this photo. Thanks to the digital memory, I could enjoy the happy time again.
People needed to make an effort to record things in the past. But now we can do something like that easily through the digital memory. We put what we want to remember into our smartphones. Most of the photos that I have kept on my phones— and in the cloud now— bring happy memories back to me.
However, not all the digital memories are happy. Some are sad. When I see the photos of my lost pet, I am worried. Because they make me recall something I want to forget. Usually, digital memories are sent to me non-stop and without any human-like feelings. That drives me crazy.
It’s hard to say clearly when the digital memory started madly. These digital memories, whether happy or sad, break into our lives. In my job as a reporter, I have spent the past five years taking different photos. They will always be there, whatever.

When we think of plastic pollution, we often picture bottles and bags. However, a more insidious (隐伏的) threat exists: microplastics. These are tiny plastic pieces, smaller than five millimeters, that are polluting our environment on a global scale.
Microplastics come from various sources. They can be manufactured (生产) that way, like the microbeads once common in cosmetics, or they can result from the breakdown of larger plastic items like water bottles or fishing nets under sunlight and wave action. They are found everywhere—from the deepest oceans to the air we breathe and the food we eat.
The potential health impacts are still being studied, but there is growing concern. These particles can be ingested (摄入) by marine life and enter the food chain, eventually reaching humans. They may carry harmful chemicals and cause physical damage to organs. To combat this, we must reduce single-use plastics, improve wastewater treatment to filter out microplastics, and support research into biodegradable (可生物降解的) alternatives. The fight against plastic pollution requires tackling both the visible and the invisible.

(2026·吉林长春·二模)The colorful clothes we wear these days are made by machines. But what did ancient people do if they wanted to wear something colorful? Tie-dye (扎染) was a way to do this.
More than 1,000 years ago, the Bai people in Yunnan used tie-dye to dye their clothes. During ancient times, this skill became so popular that people gave tie-dyed clothes to the king as gifts.
To tie-dye, first you need to find some tools to tie your cloth (布) together. The folded cloth is then put in dye (染料). The Bai people usually make blue dye from a plant. As the cloth is folded, some parts become dark blue, while other parts have a lighter color. When you unfold the cloth, you’ll see beautiful patterns.
In the 1960s, tie-dye became popular in the US. People tie-dyed T-shirts and jeans in magic ways. Many children in the US still learn tie-dye in their classes.
At a famous international spring fashion show in 2019, Italian designer Maria Grazia Chiuri surprised people with a set of tie-dyed dresses. “Tie-dye is like a test,” Chiuri said. “Its process is a kind of performance. You can’t guess the result, right until the very end. It is really amazing.”
It seems that tie-dye has never really gone away. Up to now, many young people love to try tie-dyeing. When they add the right amount of dye and water, or use imagination to make a piece of white cloth turn into a colorful one, they will feel the real meaning of the traditional skill. While we often worry about the air we breathe and the water we drink, the ground beneath our feet also faces a silent threat: soil pollution. This “invisible” pollution can be just as dangerous, affecting the food we eat and the ecosystems we depend on.
Soil can be contaminated by heavy metals from industry, excessive pesticides from agriculture, and improper waste disposal. These pollutants can persist for decades, entering the food chain through crops and eventually posing health risks to humans. Cleaning up contaminated soil is a complex and challenging task. Scientists are developing innovative bioremediation techniques, which use specially selected plants and microorganisms (微生物) to break down or absorb pollutants naturally. Other methods involve physically washing the soil or sealing off contaminated areas.
Prevention, however, is far more effective than cure. This includes stricter regulations on industrial waste, promoting sustainable farming practices, and proper disposal of household chemicals. Protecting our soil is fundamental to ensuring food safety and a healthy environment for future generations.

(2026·吉林长春·一模)British scientist Jane Goodall known for her pioneering studies of chimpanzees (黑猩猩), passed away on Oct. 1, 2025 at the age of 91. A post on the Jane Goodall Institute’s Instagram page said she died of natural causes while on a speaking tour.
Born in England in 1934, Goodall had a natural love for wild animals and dreamed of working with them in Africa. In July, 1960, Goodall finally traveled to Tanzania and entered the world of wild chimpanzees. Over the next 60 years, Goodall’s research changed how people understand human relationships with chimpanzees and introduced a new way to study wildlife.
Goodall’s research was pioneering because she lived closely with wild chimpanzee groups to learn about their social lives. She gave names to each chimp and formed close relationships with them, learning how similar they were to us. She saw that chimpanzees have complex (复杂的) social lives and different personalities, such as being shy or outgoing.
Two of Goodall’s most important discoveries came in 1960. That year, she saw a group of chimpanzees eating red meat, challenging the old idea that chimps only ate plants. She also saw something even more surprising — a male chimpanzee making and using tools. This finding changed the long-held idea that humans are the only animals that use tools. Since then, scientists have found many other animals can also use tools in the world.
Besides her research, Goodall traveled the world to speak about the dangers to chimpanzees and the environmental challenges on Earth. She encouraged people to take action for all wild animals on the planet. “The least I can do is to speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves,” Goodall told National Geographic magazine.根据短文内容,选择最佳答案。

①Long ago, in ancient China, there was a story about the invention of silk. People believed that silk was first invented by Leizu, the wife of the Yellow Emperor. Leizu learned how to make a kind of soft and strong cloth. This magical cloth became known as “silk”, and it was so valuable that it was called “China’s Gold” Following kings’ orders, the Chinese kept the secret of making silk for centuries.
②But then, something amazing happened! During the Han Dynasty, the brave officer Zhang Qian traveled west as far as Central Asia and brought silk there. As years passed by, silk became so important that the trade road from Europe to China got its name—the Silk Road.
③The Silk Road helped exchange goods and technologies. From China, people sold silk and tea. In return, they received treasures such as gold and silver from the West. At first, it was mainly about trade; then people began to share ideas and technologies. (2026·吉林长春·模拟预测)Do you feel that you gain weight more easily when you are worried or busy? Scientists have found that stress can really lead to weight gain.
To study this, scientists did an experiment (实验) on mice. They put one group of mice under stressful conditions. These mice had to swim for 15 minutes every day. Also, their light cycle (光照周期) was changed from time to time. This made them feel like they were in a new place, just as people feel jet lag (时差反应) when flying across time zones. Another group of mice lived under a normal light cycle -12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark. This group was called the control group.
After studying the mice, scientists made an important discovery. Long-term stress can quietly harm cells in the body. When this happens, tiny parts inside the cells called lipid droplets (脂滴) cover the harmed areas. They do this to stop the harm from spreading. During this process, a small helper inside the body enters the lipid droplets and helps keep the fats inside stable (稳定的).
If the stress does not go away, more of this helper stays in the lipid droplets. As a result, the lipid droplets grow larger. This causes fat to build up inside the cells, which can lead to weight gain and health problems.
Scientists say that some useful things may help fix these problems in animals. But using them for a long time might not be safe for humans. So the best way is to manage your stress and keep a healthy lifestyle.
1.What does the word “this” refer to in Paragraph 3?
A.The small helper enters the droplets. B.The fat builds up inside the cells.
C.Long-term stress harms cells. D.The light cycle is changed.
2.How does the writer develop this passage?
A.By telling a personal story. B.By giving reasons and examples.
C.By listing numbers and dates. D.By comparing two different opinions.

A.The control group mice had to swim every day.
B.Lipid droplets help stop cell harm from spreading.
C.Stress can make the lipid droplets become smaller.
D.Scientists have found a perfect way to stop weight gain.
5.What is the main idea of the passage?
A.Swimming is good for health. B.Scientists like doing experiments.
C.Stress can lead to weight gain. D.Mice and humans are the same.
(2026·吉林长春·模拟预测)Do you live in a city? Have you noticed how noisy and crowded they are? What if you could live next to a calm lake or river instead?
As it turns out, living near water, such as oceans, lakes or rivers, can help us feel both happier and healthier. A study from a UK university found that people living less than a kilometer from the coast are about 22% less likely to have mental (心理的) health problems. This is compared with people who live 50 kilometers or farther away from the sea. People who visit the coast at least twice a week usually have better physical and mental health as well.
So how do these “blue spaces” make us feel better? For one thing, living near water means having less pollution and more sunlight. Both of them are connected to better mental and physical health. People who get more sun may be happier than those who do not.
The air above the sea is also different. After spending time near the ocean, you might find that you feel more relaxed than usual. This is because sea air is full of negative ions (负离子). These ions balance our levels of serotonin (血清素), a body chemical that has an influence on our feelings. With balanced serotonin levels, we feel calmer and more relaxed.
Finally, people who live near water are also more physically active. Water sports like swimming and boating can help us stay in good shape and keep us healthy.

(2026·吉林长春·二模)The Invisible Threat: Microplastics (微塑料)

A.Stress has no influence on our health. B.Some animal studies help human science.
C.Managing stress has no use at all. D.Swimming can make mice feel happier.
4.Which of the following is TRUE according to the passage?

根据短文内容,选择最佳答案。
1.How does the writer start the passage?
A.By listing numbers. B.By asking questions.
C.By giving examples. D.By comparing facts.

B.Those who live less than a kilometer from the sea.
C.Those who live more than 500 km away from the ocean.
D.Those who like watching swimming and boating on TV.
3.What does the underlined word “them” in Paragraph 3 refer to (指代)?
A.Those “blue spaces”. B.Living and working near water.
C.Water sports. D.Less pollution and more sunlight.

A.To show how fresh the air near the ocean is.
B.To show how body chemicals influence health.
C.To explain why people should be physically active.
D.To explain why people feel relaxed when spending time near the ocean.
5.What can be the best title for this passage?
