It’s called the Germplasm Bank of Wild Species in Southwest China Its seed (种子) bank, the largest one in Asia, keeps nearly 100,000 collections from over 11,000 kinds of wild plants. We learned that many scientists made hard journeys to fill this bank. They climbed mountains, crossed highlands, and traveled through forests to collect valuable seeds. One scientist, Li Heng, led more than 20 trips to high mountains—even after the age of 61—and got badly hurt after falling from the back of a horse during her work. But nothing could stop her. She often said to her team, “Choose one thing, and give yourself to it.” Another scientist, Guo Yongjie, collected seeds from Mount Qomolangma at 6,212 meters above sea level. This is the highest place ever for collecting plant seeds. He spent over 200 days a year in the wild, just to add one more kind of plant seed to the bank. “A seed is hope,” one scientist shared. These seeds are not just tiny plant parts; they carry genes (基因) that may help us grow better crops (庄稼), make new medicines, or bring back lost forests. But some kinds of plants are disappearing, and we may lose them forever. Therefore, collecting valuable seeds is a race against time. It is a job that needs patience, courage and love. Saving seeds is everyone’s job. Such seed banks are not only found in China. By working with seed banks in Norway, the UK, and some other countries around the world, the scientists can turn these treasures into a shared hope in the far future. As we left, we had a deeper respect for the scientists who have spent their lives on this quiet but great work. The seeds they save carry life, hope, and a better future for all living things on the earth. 1.What do the numbers in Paragraph 2 show? A.The value of the highlands. B.The efforts of the scientists. C.The influence of the forests. D.The heights of the mountains. 2.Why is collecting valuable seeds called “a race against time”? A.Because the task needs patience. B.Because the job is slowing down. C.Because many seeds share genes. D.Because some plants are dying out. 3.What can help scientists save seeds according to Paragraph 4? A.Working separately. B.Collecting plants freely. C.Cooperating internationally. D.Spreading hopes widely. 4.What is the best title (标题) for the text? A.Seeds of hope B.Changes for lives C.Plants on the earth D.Scientists in banks 【答案】1.B 2.D 3.C 4.A 【导语】本文主要介绍了中国西南野生生物种质资源库及其科学家保护种子的故事。 1.根据第二段“more than 20 trips”“the age of 61”“6,212 meters”“over 200 days a year”可知,这些数字都是为了具体说明科学家们为了收集种子所付出的巨大艰辛和努力。 2.根据第三段“But some kinds of plants are disappearing, and we may lose them forever. Therefore, collecting valuable seeds is a race against time.” 3.根据第四段“By working with seed banks in Norway, the UK, and some other countries around the world, the scientists can turn these treasures into a shared hope in the far future.” 文中多次提到种子代表希望(“A seed is hope”“a shared hope”“carry life, hope, and a better future”),选项A“希望之种”最能概括文章的核心主题和情感色彩,适合作为文章标题。 (2026·辽宁沈阳·中考真题)When our friends ask for help, we often agree without a second thought. Why do we do this? Usually, we say yes because we want to give a helping hand, bring joy to others, or be at peace with everyone. However, always saying yes to everything is not wise. Does this mean we can always say no? The answer is clear. In some cases, to say yes is the only answer. For example, we must follow school rules. When it comes to keeping public safety and guarding national interests, we must say yes. But when can we say no? We can say no if the request (请求) is unreasonable. Saying no can help us stick to what is right and avert unnecessary problems. After knowing when to say no, it is time to learn how to say no in a proper way. Here are some ways to help us say no. ·Start small. Like any habit, saying yes to everything can be hard to break. We can begin by saying no to easier situations, and then practice more. ·Don’t say yes too early. Tell others we need to check our plans first. ·Keep answers short. We don’t need long excuses. A simple “No, I have other plans.” is enough. Make sure we say it in a polite way. ·Be brave. If we must say yes, say it with an open heart. If we must say no, say it without fear. Saying no is not the same as being selfish (自私的). We also need to stand up for others and a better society. 1.Why do we say yes when our friends ask for help? A.To care about our hands. B.To get on well with others. C.To take down our thoughts. D.To stay far away from joy. 2.What does the underlined word “avert” in Paragraph 3 mean? A.Avoid. B.Face. C.Cause. D.Correct. 3.Which of the following is a proper way to say no according to the text? A.Consider others’ plans first. B.Answer as rapidly as possible. C.Start from difficult situations. D.Reply politely without long excuses. 4.What does the writer encourage readers to do? A.Keep requests in mind. B.Say yes to the power of no. C.Offer advice without fear. D.Give way to the need of friends. 1.第一段给出原因“Usually, we say yes because we want to give a helping hand, bring joy to others, or be at peace with everyone.”,这说明我们答应朋友的请求,是希望和别人和睦相处。 2.第三段给出句子“Saying no can help us stick to what is right and avert unnecessary problems.”,拒绝可以坚守正确的事,避免不必要的麻烦,故划线部分意为“避免”,与avoid意思相同。 3. We don’t need long excuses. A simple ‘No, I have other plans.’ is enough. Make sure we say it in a polite way.”,说明回复要礼貌,不用冗长借口。 4. (2025·辽宁·中考真题)We have many ways to get close to nature, such as dancing in the rain, stepping on fallen leaves or digging in the soil, but my favourite is walking barefoot (赤脚). Walking barefoot can be enjoyable and helpful. It can help us sleep better and feel rested in mind and body. It can also build our foot muscles (肌肉) and improve our balance. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, walking barefoot can be good for our health. When you want to try walking barefoot, there’s no need to hurry. At first, walking barefoot for 10 minutes can be fine. After that, add 5 minutes every day until you can walk for 20 to 30 minutes. If your feet hurt, take a break or curtail the time. Walking barefoot, however, isn’t always safe. People with health problems like flat feet or back pain should avoid this practice. What’s more, walking barefoot in cold or wet environments might cause health problems. To make walking barefoot safe, remember the following points: ·Choose safe places, like soft grass or warm sand. ·Stay away from things like rocks or broken glass. ·Keep shoes at hand if you worry that your feet will get too sore. ·Listen to your body—stop if you feel pain or discomfort. Walking barefoot is a great way to feel connected with nature, but it’s important to stay safe and consider your own health condition. 1.Which of the following is the writer’s favourite way to get close to nature? A.Dancing in the rain. B.Stepping on fallen leaves. C.Digging in the soil. D.Walking without shoes on. 2.What does the underlined word “curtail” mean in Paragraph 3? A.Tell. B.Make. C.Value. D.Reduce. 3.According to the text, remember to ________ when you are walking barefoot. A.try a cold surface B.practice on hard rocks C.find a safe place D.walk in wet environments 4.What is the text mainly about? A.The introduction to health problems. B.The suggestions on outdoor activities. C.The information about walking barefoot. D.The effects of Traditional Chinese Medicine. 根据“but my favourite is walking barefoot”可知,作者最喜欢的亲近自然的方式是赤脚行走。故选D。 2. 根据“If your feet hurt, take a break or curtail the time.” 根据“Choose safe places, like soft grass or warm sand.” (2026·辽宁盘锦·三模)①At the 2026 Spring Festival Gala, a creative singing and dancing show called Ode to the Flower Deities (贺花神) amazed the audience. It was not just a performance; it was a beautiful mix of ancient Chinese culture and technology. ②The show’s idea came from a treasure in the Palace Museum—a white jade pendant (玉佩).Twelve flowers were carved on this pendant, each representing (代表) a month of the lunar year. In Chinese tradition, these flowers are connected to twelve “Flower Gods”, who are often famous historical figures (人物). For example, the poet Tao Yuanming, who loved the chrysanthemum (菊花), became the Flower God for the 9th lunar month. Another poet, Lin Bu, who loved plum blossoms (梅花), was linked to the 1st lunar month. The show brought these ancient characters to life. ③But how did the show create such a magical world on stage? The answer lies in technology. For the first time, the production team used a special AI technology called AIGC (AI-generated content, AI 生成的内容) to create amazing stage effects. This AI could generate lifelike animals, like flying cranes (鹤) and butterflies. It could also change the whole stage environment in an instant (立刻). Imagine a snowy winter scene (场景) turning into a field of spring flowers right before your eyes. ④One of the biggest challenges was mixing the real performers with the AI-generated world so perfectly. The team worked extremely hard. The show was a perfect example of how technology can help tell ancient stories in a new and exciting way, making our traditional culture feel fresh and alive for a new generation. 1.Where did the idea for the show Ode to the Flower Deities come from? A.A famous poet. B.A white jade pendant. C.A beautiful flower. D.A Spring Festival story. 2.The underlined word “lifelike” probably means “________”. A.looking like real life B.being very friendly C.moving very fast D.feeling very soft 3.What could the AIGC technology do on stage according to Paragraph 3? A.It could sing and dance like people. B.It could change the stage environment quickly. C.It could carve flowers on a white jade pendant. D.It could help poets write new poems. 4.What is the best title for the text? A.Old stories and new technology B.The history of the Spring Festival Gala C.How to protect old things in the museum D.A magic show with real flowers 【答案】1.B 2.A 3.B 4.A 【导语】这篇短文介绍了2026年春晚节目《贺花神》,讲述其创意源自故宫十二花神玉佩,借助AIGC人工智能技术打造梦幻舞台,完美融合真人演员与数字场景,用科技新颖演绎中华传统花神文化。 1.根据第二段“The show's idea came from a treasure in the Palace Museum—a white jade pendant”可知,该节目的创意灵感来自故宫博物院的一件宝物——白玉佩。 2. 3.根据第三段“It could also change the whole stage environment in an instant”可知,AIGC技术能够瞬间改变整个舞台环境,与选项B描述一致。 4. (2026·辽宁锦州·三模)Along China’s coast, thousands of small fishing villages, which have existed by the sea for centuries, used to depend on traditional ways of life. In the past, their wooden boats went out at sunrise and returned with full nets (网) at sunset. However, as modern times brought bigger ships, the number of fish in the ocean dropped greatly. Now, these old villages are looking for new ways that can not only protect the ocean but also keep their traditions alive. Take one small fishing village on the eastern coast as an example. Ten years ago, the water near the village was so polluted that it was difficult for villagers to catch any fish. Therefore, the villagers decided to make a change. They stopped throwing old fishing nets into the sea and picked up plastic waste from the beach every Friday. Slowly, the water became clearer. Fish began to come back. Today, this village is famous for its clean sea, which draws many tourists who come to see the blue water and taste fresh seafood. The village does not use large, harmful fishing methods. Instead, fishermen go out in small boats and follow strict rules. They do not catch baby fish. They do not fish during breeding (繁殖) seasons. This way, the sea can rest and recover. Some villages have also started “sea farming” together. They grow kelp (海带) and shellfish (贝类) on ropes in the water. These plants and animals can clean the water naturally. Also, they bring good income (收入). Villagers say they are not just fishermen now—they are ocean farmers and ocean keepers. Young people who once left for big cities are coming back. They open small hotels and restaurants by the sea. They use less plastic and teach visitors to protect the ocean. Grandfathers who spent their whole lives on boats now take children out to watch birds and learn about the sea. Protecting the sea does not mean stopping all fishing or losing old ways. It means using smarter methods, caring more, and passing down the love for the ocean to the next generation (下一代). 1.How does the writer introduce the topic in paragraph 1? A.By telling a story. B.By giving examples. C.By listing numbers. D.By making a comparison. 2.What does the underlined sentence mean? A.Villagers grow crops and raise animals in the sea. B.Villagers both use the ocean and take care of it. C.Villagers have given up fishing completely. D.Villagers want to control the ocean like farmers control the land. 3.What can we infer about the elderly in the village? A.They no longer care about the sea. B.They have moved to big cities to live. C.They are helping the young develop the love for the ocean. D.They now spend more time on boats than before. 4.What’s the theme of the text? A.The Fishing Villages. B.The Ocean Protection. C.The New Fishing Ways. D.The Village Traditions. 1.第一段“In the past, their wooden boats went out at sunrise and returned with full nets (网) at sunset. However, as modern times brought bigger ships, the number of fish in the ocean dropped greatly.” 2.第四段“Some villages have also started ‘sea farming’ together. They grow kelp and shellfish on ropes in the water. These plants and animals can clean the water naturally. Also, they bring good income.” 3.最后一段“Grandfathers who spent their whole lives on boats now take children out to watch birds and learn about the sea. ... passing down the love for the ocean to the next generation.” (2026·辽宁鞍山·三模)People know animals do have feelings, but they are not sure if these feelings are correctly understood. In recent years, scientists have done research about the feelings of cows, frogs and pandas. A new study adds chickens to the list. It says that humans can tell whether a chicken is happy or sad by listening to its calls. The researchers put a bowl behind a door. Inside the bowl, sometimes there was something chickens love to eat, such as rice or insects. Sometimes, there was nothing. When the chickens saw food behind the door, they seemed happy and produced fast and loud sounds, known as food calls. When there wasn’t food, the chickens made low and long noises to express disappointment. The researchers recorded all these sounds and studied their waves. Then the researchers chose 16 recordings of such chicken noises. Half were from the chickens seeing the food and half were from the chickens finding no food. The recordings were played to 194 volunteers. Sixty-nine percent of the volunteers correctly understood whether the chickens were feeling happy or not, and some of them even had no experience of taking care of chickens. The result shows that humans have the natural ability to understand the feelings of chickens. Hopefully, this finding can bring about new technology to help with chicken-raising, a big industry in many countries. Some scientists are already working on a smart computer program that can identify chickens’ feelings. This is good news for farmers who want to make the chickens happier and healthier. 1.What can we learn from the new study about chickens? A.Chickens have the same feelings as humans. B.Humans can know chickens' feelings from their calls. C.Scientists have never studied animals' feelings before. D.Chickens only make loud sounds when they are hungry. 2.Which is most probably the sound wave of a happy call by a chicken? A. B. C. D. 3.Some scientists are developing ________ to help with chicken-raising A.a feeding machine B.a smart computer program C.a new chicken house D.a kind of new healthy feed 4.What does the underlined word “identify” mean in Paragraph 4? A.Control. B.Hide. C.Recognize. D.Hurt. 1.根据第一段“It says that humans can tell whether a chicken is happy or sad by listening to its calls.” 2.根据第二段“When the chickens saw food behind the door, they seemed happy and produced fast and loud sounds”可知,开心的鸡会发出快速且响亮的叫声,对应波形密集、起伏幅度大的图像;没有食物时鸡的叫声低沉悠长,波形平缓稀疏。 3.根据第四段“Some scientists are already working on a smart computer program that can identify chickens’ feelings.” (2026·辽宁朝阳·三模)Chunlian is a very important part of Chinese culture. It has a very long history and is deeply connected to the celebrations of the Spring Festival. A long time ago, chunlian was used to drive away evil and bad luck. There is a story from the Tang Dynasty about people putting peach wood with pictures of gods Shen Tu and Yu Lei on their doors. But over time, these peach wood pieces changed into paper couplets with written words that brought good luck and wishes. Another story from the Song Dynasty tells us that people wrote lucky words on red paper and put them on their gates during the Spring Festival. A special event happened in the Later Shu when the ruler, Meng Chang, asked a minister to write couplets for him. But he wasn’t happy with the work, so he wrote them himself. These are now considered the first Spring Festival couplets, and they say, “New Year brings extra happiness, and this festive season is called Everlasting Spring.” During the Ming Dynasty, chunlian became very popular, and that’s when it got its name. Emperor Hongwu (namely Zhu Yuanzhang), who started the Ming Dynasty, really liked chunlian. He made a rule that every house, no matter who lived in it, had to have a chunlian on its gates on New Year’s Day. He even wrote couplets for a poor family. Over the years, the custom of hanging chunlian during the Spring Festival has spread very widely. These couplets are usually written in a simple style on red paper. Red is thought to have the power to bring good luck. This tradition is still an important part of Chinese culture and is celebrated with great joy today. 1.What does the underlined word “them” in Paragraph 2 refer to? A.Pictures of gods. B.Meanings of good wishes. C.Peach wood pieces. D.Lucky words on red paper. 2.Which of the following can most probably be the first chunlian according to the text? 3.When did the Spring Festival couplets get its name of chunlian? A.In the Later Shu. B.In the Song Dynasty. C.In the Tang Dynasty. D.In the Ming Dynasty. 4.How is the text organized? 1.第二段中提到“Another story from the Song Dynasty tells us that people wrote lucky words on red paper and put them on their gates”人们把吉祥话写在红纸上,然后把“它们”贴在门上,因此them指代“写在红纸上的吉祥话”。 2.第三段中孟昶所写的春联原文“New Year brings extra happiness, and this festive season is called Everlasting Spring”以及中文释义,对应的中文应为“新年纳余庆,嘉节号长春”。 3.第四段中“During the Ming Dynasty, chunlian became very popular, and that’s when it got its name.” (2026·辽宁抚顺·三模)   In today’s world, digital technology is everywhere. From smartphones to computers, it has changed how we connect. However, some scientists have expressed concern that overusing digital devices could harm our brain health, especially as we age. This idea is sometimes called “digital dementia (电子痴呆)”,suggesting that depending too much on technology might weaken thinking skills.    But is that really true for older people? A recent study from researchers in the USA offers a different and more hopeful view. The team analyzed data from more than 411,000 adults aged 50 and above. They checked how often these people used technology-like computers, smartphones, and the Internet, and whether that was linked to changes in their cognitive (认知的) health over time.    The results were clear: Regular technology use was connected with a lower risk of cognitive decline (衰退). In fact, the study found that those who often used technology had about 58% lower risk of cognitive decline compared to those who rarely used such devices.    One possible explanation is that using technology often requires learning and adaptation (适应)—whether it’s figuring out a new app, following online instructions, or even troubleshooting (检修) a device. These activities can act like mental exercise, helping to keep the brain active. Moreover, technology helps many older adults stay socially connected through messaging apps, video calls, and social media, which is also known to support cognitive health.    Of course, not all screen time is equal. Mindlessly swiping through videos or spending hours on passive entertainment (被动娱乐) may not provide the same benefits. What matters is how we use technology-whether it encourages thinking, learning, or connecting.    This study does not mean technology is a cure for age-related brain changes, and more research is needed to understand the long-term effects. However, it suggests that in our increasingly digital world, using technology in thoughtful and active ways may be one useful part of maintaining brain health as we grow older. 1.According to the study, how does regular use of technology affect older people’s brain health? A.It greatly increases the risk of dementia. B.It weakens their memory and thinking skills. C.It is linked to a much lower risk of cognitive decline. D.It only helps if they stop using it after the age of 60. 2.Why does the writer mention “mental exercise” in Paragraph 4? A.To encourage young people to do mental exercise more often. B.To suggest that using technology is better than physical exercise. C.To explain how active technology use is helpful to the brain. D.To argue that thinking is necessary to prevent old people from developing digital dementia. 3.Which of the following would the writer most probably recommend for brain health? A.Leaving the TV on all day while doing housework. B.Using a smartphone app to learn a new language. C.Letting a family member manage online tasks for you. D.Spending hours swiping through TikTok videos. 4.Which of the following is the best title for the text? A.The Dangers of Digital Dementia B.Keep Away from Screens C.A New Way to Cure Ageing Brains D.Technology Helps Ageing Brains 【答案】1.C 2.C 3.B 4.D 【导语】本文是一篇说明文,主要介绍了一项研究,老年人积极合理地使用数字技术,有助于降低认知衰退风险、维护大脑健康。 1.根据文章第三段“The results were clear: Regular technology use was connected with a lower risk of cognitive decline.”(结果很清楚:定期使用技术与认知衰退风险降低有关)可知,经常使用科技产品与认知衰退风险显著降低有关。 2.根据文章第四段“One possible explanation is that using technology often requires learning and adaptation... These activities can act like mental exercise, helping to keep the brain active.”(一种可能的解释是,使用技术通常需要学习和适应…… (2026·辽宁阜新·二模)If you watched this year’s Spring Festival Gala, you might have been surprised by a special group of performers — robots! Dressed in colorful outfits, they danced perfectly in sync with human dancers. Their movements were so smooth that it was hard to believe they were machines. These robots are not just for show. They are a product of China’s fast-growing AI technology. Engineers spent months training them to understand music and follow complex dance steps. Unlike humans, robots never get tired. They can repeat the same movement hundreds of times with the same precision. However, they still need humans to program them and solve problems when things go wrong. The appearance of robots on such a big stage has started many discussions. Some people are excited about how AI can make our lives easier in the future. They imagine robots helping with housework, teaching in schools, or even keeping old people company. Others feel a little worried. They wonder: if robots can dance so well, will they one day take away our jobs? Experts say there is no need to worry too much. AI is a tool, not a replacement for humans. Just like the Gala show, where robots and humans worked together to create something beautiful, our future will be about humans and AI working side by side. The key is to learn new skills and embrace the changes instead of being afraid of them. After all, the robots on stage could not have danced without the people behind them. 1.What is the main topic of the passage? A.How robots are better dancers than humans. B.The role of AI in the Spring Festival Gala and future life. C.The history of robot development in China. D.Why people should stop using AI in daily life. 2.According to paragraph 2, what is one advantage of robots over humans? A.They can think by themselves. B.They understand music better. It’s the first robot in the world that can help grow plants all by itself. This robot shows how smart technology and plant science can work together to make farming better. ②GEAIR works in greenhouses. Imagine a robot walking among plants, looking at flowers with its “eyes”, which are really cameras. When it sees a flower, it uses its robot arms to do something called pollination (授粉)—that’s like helping plants have “babies” to make new crops. Before GEAIR, farmers had to do this by hand, which took a lot of time. But now, GEAIR can do it quickly and carefully, just like a super-fast gardener! ③Farmers want crops that are strong, healthy, and productive. This is called hybrid breeding (杂交育种), where scientists mix different plants to make the best ones. But doing this by hand is hard work. GEAIR makes it easier. For example, in soybeans, the robot can help create special plants that make more beans. This could help feed more people and save farmers time and money. ④Scientists hope GEAIR will help make crops that can stand up to bad weather. This way, even if the climate changes, we can still grow enough food. What’s more, GEAIR is helping China lead the way in smart farming. Maybe one day, robots like GEAIR will be in greenhouses all over the world. ⑤In the past, scenes of robots helping plants were only in science fiction movies. But now, GEAIR has made that dream real. It shows that when we use science and technology, we can solve big problems. 1.What can we learn about GEAIR from the first paragraph? A.It can help make farming better. A.Seeds of hope B.Changes for lives C.Plants on the earth D.Scientists in banks (2026·辽宁沈阳·中考真题)When our friends ask for help, we often agree without a second thought. A.Old stories and new technology B.The history of the Spring Festival Gala C.How to protect old things in the museum D.A magic show with real flowers (2026·辽宁锦州·三模)Along China’s coast, thousands of small fishing villages, which have existed by the sea for centuries, used to depend on traditional ways of life. (2026·辽宁鞍山·三模)People know animals do have feelings, but they are not sure if these feelings are correctly understood. D.Hurt. (2026·辽宁朝阳·三模)Chunlian is a very important part of Chinese culture. A. B. C. D. (2026·辽宁抚顺·三模)   In today’s world, digital technology is everywhere. A.The Dangers of Digital Dementia B.Keep Away from Screens C.A New Way to Cure Ageing Brains D.Technology Helps Ageing Brains (2026·辽宁阜新·二模)If you watched this year’s Spring Festival Gala, you might have been surprised by a special group of performers — robots! C.They never get tired of repeating movements. D.They need no programming at all. 3.What can we infer from some people’s worries mentioned in paragraph 3? A.They believe robots will soon have feelings. B.They are concerned that AI might replace human jobs. C.They think the Gala show was not good enough. D.They prefer robots to stay in factories. 4.What is the writer’s purpose in writing the last paragraph? A.To explain how to program a robot. B.To prove that robots are dangerous. C.To encourage a positive attitude toward AI. D.To describe the problems of the Gala show. (2026·辽宁抚顺·二模)A officialWhen winter comes, our hands can easily get cold. We can wear thick gloves, but how did ancient people keep their hands warm in winter? They had a special tool: the hand warmer. No one knows who invented it. According to a story, Emperor Yangdi of the Sui Dynasty visited Jiangsu in winter. It was very cold. A local official asked people to make a small warmer for the emperor to hold. That’s how the first hand warmer was created. Warmers became very popular in the Song Dynasty. Making them was very common during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Many poems and books talked about people using them. They were mentioned in the famous book The Dream of the Red Chamber. The classic book was written by Cao Xueqin during the Qing Dynasty. In the book, a maid gives a hand warmer to Lin Daiyu. There was a famous maker of hand warmers in the Ming Dynasty. His name was Zhang Mingqi. The hand warmers he made were called “Zhanglu”. The warmers were made of bronze (青铜) or ceramics (陶瓷). They came in many shapes. Some were round or square. Others looked like pumpkins, flowers, or turtle shells (龟壳). They could fit in people’s hands or be placed in the sleeves for heating. People put burning charcoal (炭火) inside the warmer to produce heat. They sometimes mixed the charcoal with spices (香料) and pressed it into flower shapes. This made the air smell nice when it burned. 1.How was the first hand warmer said to be created? A.A famous artist designed it. B.An official in the Sui Dynasty had it made. C.Cao Xueqin designed it in his book. D.Emperor Yangdi invented it himself. 2.In which dynasties were hand warmers most commonly made according to the passage? A.The Sui Dynasty. B.The Song Dynasty. C.The Yuan Dynasty. D.The Ming and Qing Dynasties. 3.What does the underlined word “they” in the last paragraph refer to? A.Bronze or ceramics. B.Warmers made of charcoal. C.Ancient people. (2026·辽宁沈阳·一模) ①Chinese scientists have made a very cool robot—GEAIR. B.It is used to show smart technology. C.It was made by Chinese farmers. D.It can grow plants well without plant science. 2.What do Paragraphs 2 and 3 mainly talk about GEAIR? A.Its future development. B.Its working abilities and uses. C.Its importance in bad weather. D.Its differences from other robots. 3.What can we infer from the text? A.Smart farming is widely used all over the world. B.People have solved most climate change problems. C.Farmers will no longer need to work in greenhouses. D.GEAIR may have a good influence on food production. 4.How is the text organized? (①= Paragraph 1 ②= Paragraph 2,…) A. B. C. D. The astronauts were put into four groups. Each group stayed in the cave for six days and five nights, working on tasks like scientific research and life support. ③Caves are similar to space in many ways. For example, astronauts are cut off from the outside world and have little room to move. These conditions can be copied at usual training grounds, but a natural cave offers the best experience, said Beijing Daily. ④Cold (only about 8℃) and wet, the cave is full of narrow passages (通道) and steep (陡峭的) walls. With falling stones and the risk of getting lost, astronauts face sudden physical dangers, which train them to stay calm and think fast. ⑤The training also makes astronauts stronger in mind. Jiang Yuan, who helped train the astronauts, shared the stress she felt when she tried the program herself. “The biggest challenge for me was the darkness,” Jiang told Xinhua. “My movements slowed and my memory got fuzzy—once I checked the rope three times but I still couldn’t remember if I had already tied it.” Astronaut Zhu Yangzhu pointed out the strange silence, just like in space. “We could hear our own heartbeat and breath,” he told CGTN. ⑥The European Space Agency (ESA) began developing cave training in 2005. “Compared to the European training, our support team got in the way as little as possible,” Ye Guangfu, one of the astronauts in the Chongqing program, told Xinhua. “This lets astronauts trust themselves and solve problems on their own.” 1.What’s Paragraph ③ mainly about? A.Differences between caves and space. B.Challenges of the cave training. C.Reasons for choosing caves for training. D.Ways of training in the natural cave. 2.What does the underlined word “fuzzy” mean in English? A.Unclear. B.Strong. C.Quick. D.Fresh. 3.Compared to the European training, China’s cave training ________. A.has a much longer history B.depends less on the support team C.offers better working conditions D.focuses more on scientific research 4.What can be the best title for the text? A.Finding fun in natural caves B.China’s first space-training program C.Cave training for flying high D.An unforgettable cave-training experience
