Part 1: Read the passage and answer the questions.
Fujian Province is famous for its beauty, not just from the seaside scenery, tea and rice, but also from the tulou, or earthen (土质的) buildings. They are popular among the Hakka (客家人) in the mountainous areas and come in different shapes and sizes. In 2008, the earthen buildings were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The tulou first appeared in the Song and Yuan dynasties and took their present shapes in the Ming and Qing dynasties. The buildings were originally built for Hakka families to live together and defend against enemies. They have developed from local mountain strongholds (山寨), and most of them have a round structure with earthen outer walls and a wooden frame (框架) inside. The main building material is made up of red earth that could be found locally.
The largest tulou in Hongkeng Village, Longyan City, Fujian Province, looks like a mansion (大厦). It was built by three brothers from the Lin family in 1880. The building took three years to complete and covered an area of 7,000 square metres. It takes the shape of three mountains, representing the three brothers. Lin Jianwen is the sixth-generation owner of this building.
Since the tulou was put on the List, most of the earthen buildings have been developed, and the number of tourists has increased sharply. As a result, Lin turned his family’s tulou into a homestay hotel. Growing up in the friendly environment of the tulou, Lin treats the customers like family. He helps tourists in need by planning trips, arranging (安排) guides and even buying train tickets for them. Welcoming tourists from all over the world makes Lin’s life more colorful in the village. More importantly, it lets more people learn about their culture.

根据“history of more than two thousand years”可知,此处的history是可数名词,且其是以辅音音素开头,所以用不定冠词修饰,a hisitory of...“……
from从;of……的;for为了;to到。be made from“由……制成”,看不出原材料;be made of“由……
all所有,全部;both两者都;each每个;other其他的。
work工作,原形;to work动词不定式;working现在分词/动名词;worked过去式/过去分词。 be made to do sth“被迫做某事”,固定短语,故选B。
when当…… 根据“They made fire on the towers to tell each other ... the enemies came.”
famous著名的,原级;more famous更有名的;most famous最有名的;the most famous最有名的,the+最高级。
thousand千;thousands数千,复数;thousand of错误表达;thousands of 成千上万的。

时间状语“during the Song and Yuan Dynasties”表示过去的时间,谓语动词用一般过去时,build的过去式为built。
固定搭配be interested in表示“对……
there be + 名词 + doing sth.
固定搭配take videos with...
