学校:___________班级:___________姓名:___________分数:___________
1. —Is Mr Li in the office?
—No, he ________ the airport to meet the exchange students.
A. has been to B. has gone to C. went to D. has been in
考查has gone to、has been to与has been in的辨析。 has been in表示“在某地待了多久”,常与for/since连用,不符合此处语境。故选B。
2. The exchange programme ________ since 2016. Thousands of students have benefited from it.
A. started B. has started C. has run D. has been running
3. She has ________ finished her report on cultural exchange. She finished it five minutes ago.
A. yet B. just C. never D. ever
4. I haven't heard from my pen pal ________. I hope everything is fine.
A. already B. yet C. just D. never
考查yet、already、just、never的辨析。
5. —How long ________ you ________ this school? —Since 2022.
A. have; been in B. have; gone to C. did; go to D. have; been to
【答案】A
考查have been in。have been in、have gone to、have been to的辨析。 have been in表示“在某地待了多久”,可以与how long和since/for连用,符合语境。have gone to表示“去了某地未回”,不能与how long连用。did go to是一般过去时,不能与since 2022表示的持续含义搭配。have been to表示“去过某地已回”,强调经历而非持续,不能与how long连用。故选A。
6. The number of exchange students ________ greatly since the programme started.
A. has increased B. have increased C. increased D. increases
【答案】A
the number of+复数名词作主语时,谓语动词用单数,因为核心名词是number(数量),所以用has increased。a number of+复数名词表示"许多",谓语用复数have increased。 故选A。
7. Neither the teacher nor the students ________ ever been to Oxford University before this trip.
A. has B. have C. had D. were
neither...nor... neither...nor... the students靠近nor,是复数,所以用have。 were是be动词过去式,不能与been构成完成时。故选B。
8. So far, more than 18,000 students ________ the Mandarin Excellence Programme.
A. joined B. have joined C. are joining D. will join
will join是一般将来时,与so far矛盾。故选B。
9. ________ the past decade, the programme has supported thousands of students to study abroad.
A. At B. On C. In D. Over
At the past decade搭配错误。On the past decade搭配错误。
10. Not only the students but also their teacher ________ benefited from the cultural exchange.
A. has B. have C. is D. are
【答案】A
考查not only...but also... not only...but also... not only...but also... their teacher靠近but also,是单数,所以用has benefited。 is和are是be动词,不能与benefited构成现在完成时。故选A。

Between 29 September and 5 October 2025, 89 young people from 50 countries across Asia and Europe gathered in Osaka, Japan, for the 6th ASEF Young Leaders Summit(峰会). This was the culminating event of a two-month leadership development programme on the topic of "Leadership in Society 5.0".
The summit brought together participants from different backgrounds. They have engaged(从事) in intellectual (智力的)exchange, intercultural learning, and the sharing of different perspectives. Professor Yuko Harayama, a keynote speaker, put up a question: "As AI and digital technologies rapidly change society, can we continue to place humans at the centre?" She argued that leaders need the courage to keep asking questions rather than possessing definitive(决定性的) answers.
One of the most memorable moments was the Cultural Evening. Participants wore traditional cloths from their home countries and shared sweets and delicacies(佳肴). They learned a Romanian wedding dance, joined a Japanese Bon Odori, and applauded each cultural performance with enthusiasm. "The evening was filled with music, laughter, and discovery," one participant recalled. "It felt like a truly global celebration."
On Day 3, participants visited the Osaka Expo(世博会)2025, where they explored pavilions(展馆) from different countries and discussed how technology and culture could work together for a better future. The summit has shown that when young people from different cultures come together, they can create understanding and build lasting friendships. Many participants have already started planning follow-up projects to continue the dialogue. Without doubt, the ASEF Young Leaders Summit has proved that youth exchange is one of the most powerful tools for building a more connected world.

Since 2025, the China-UK Youth Cultural Exchange Programme has organised more than 740 Chinese students from over ten secondary schools in Beijing, Shenyang, Shenzhen and Jincheng to visit the United Kingdom. In February 2026, 230 students attended a winter camp in the UK, where they experienced British school life, stayed with host families, and visited world-famous universities like Oxford and Cambridge.
Simranjeet Singh, a student from India who took part in a similar programme at the University of Birmingham, shared his thoughts: "The exchange programme offered a rich experience, helping us understand cultural heritage and its changing meanings. It made us think about questions of community, history, and understanding between cultures." Another participant, Sewon Rai, said, "These visits showed us that such places not only protect cultural objects but also serve as lively centres for learning and cross-cultural understanding."
For the Chinese students, the experience has been equally life-changing. They have attended classes at British schools, learning together with local students. During the cultural festival, they showed Chinese calligraphy, martial arts, and traditional music. Charlotte Askew, a British student, said, "Experiencing a country through its students and their schools has been truly meaningful and unforgettable — a once-in-a-lifetime experience!"
George Pippas, a leader from Cambridge, praised the Chinese teenagers' ability to fit into a new culture and encouraged them to become "messengers of friendship" between China and Britain. The programme has already grown a lot since it began, and organisers plan to continue creating more opportunities for young people from both countries. Without doubt, every exchange activity plants a seed of friendship that will one day grow into a forest of understanding.

A. It will end soon.

Zheng Baoyi is an exchange student from Shenzhen who spent a year in Nebraska, USA. She chose law, economics, drama and cooking classes at her American high school. After one year, she brought home a report card with all A's.
However, the most meaningful part of her experience happened outside the classroom. Her host family were a couple in their sixties who had adopted three children with special needs. At first, Zheng felt overwhelmed by the children's sudden screams and sleepless nights. But she did not give up. She stayed with the children, drew pictures with them, sang songs softly, and comforted crying children late at night. Gradually, she changed from a "newcomer" to a real "older sister" in the family.
"My host parents are very kind people. My host mother has a medical background and takes good care of the three children. When they have free time, they even do grocery runs for others to earn more money for the children," Zheng said. "Love has no boundaries, and kindness has no borders." Over the past decade, more and more Chinese students have participated in exchange programmes, and many of them have described the experience as life-changing. If you are planning to go on an exchange trip, I suggest that you learn some basic expressions in the local language and study the customs of the host country before you leave. When you encounter cultural differences, it is important to stay open-minded and respect the local way of life.
Cultural exchange is one of the best ways to improve mutual understanding between people from different countries.
Over the past decade, more and more Chinese students have participated in exchange programmes, and many of them have described the experience as life-changing. If you are planning to go on an exchange trip, I suggest that you learn some basic expressions in the local language and study the customs of the host country before you leave. When you encounter cultural differences, it is important to stay open-minded and respect the local way of life.
I believe that cultural exchange can make the world a better place, because it helps people see beyond stereotypes and build real friendships. Without doubt, every exchange trip is a seed of understanding that will grow into a tree of peace.
