Anger isn’t a good feeling. Anger may make us feel uncomfortable, but it’s also a normal and natural emotion in daily life. Unluckily, many of us are used to hiding our feelings. Research shows that this can have long-term bad influences (影响) on our health, both in mind and body.
Is it better to cry or break things whenever something makes us angry? The research points out that when we show our anger in this way, we probably can’t get on well with our friends and our family. The longer we stay angry, the worse the result will be. So how can we deal with our angry feelings in a right way?
First, ▲ Anger is often caused by feelings such as fear, disappointment and so on. By finding out the true cause, we can deal with it more effectively (有效地). Second, pay attention to those everyday things that will make us angry. For example, we may get angry in the long lines at the store. Take a step back and think that it isn’t personal. Everyone in the line has dinner to make, just like us. Another way to deal with anger is to talk about it. The study shows that if we name our feelings, we can slowly calm ourselves down and feel better. Last, do some controlled breathing or find some helpful exercise to do. Exercise helps with feelings of anger.
If we learn to deal with anger properly, we will feel calmer, get on better with others and live a happier life.

In the center of China lies a special natural wonder that seems from another world—Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Hunan Province. The park is famous for its unusual geological (地质的) landscape and amazing natural views. There are thousands of tall quartz - sandstone pillars (石英砂岩柱) in the park. Some are more than 800 meters high, standing straight among green trees. These pillars were slowly formed by millions of years of wind and water erosion (侵蚀). That makes the park look magical and unusual.
Zhangjiajie is not only a good place for sightseeing but also holds great value for science and education. Geologists study the rocks here to learn more about Earth’s long history. For students, the park is like a lively natural classroom. They can learn basic knowledge about geology and realize how important it is to protect natural heritage (自然遗产).
Because of its great natural and scientific value, UNESCO (联合国教科文组织) listed Zhangjiajie as a World Natural Heritage site. It means that the whole world agrees it is a very special place that belongs to all people. To protect this beautiful wonder, the Chinese government has taken action. For example, it controls the number of visitors and builds special paths to keep the

Many of you have heard a Cinderella (灰姑娘) story, but you may not know that there are over a hundred different ways to tell the Cinderella story. When writers tell the same story in a different way, it is called their “version” of the story. The story of Cinderella has many different versions. Let’s read two of them and find out how they are different.
The version that most people know was written in 1697 by Charles Perrault from France. This is the version where the birds help make Cinderella’s dress and the mice turn into carriage men and help Cinderella go to the dance in a pumpkin carriage. In this version, many of the animals are Cinderella’s friends. They help her meet the Prince. Cinderella marries the Prince and they live happily together ever after.
In another version of this story written in 1812 by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm from Germany, the birds help Cinderella in the whole story. Cinderella’s father gives her a little tree when he comes back from a party. She plants the little tree and her tears water it until it grows into a tall tree.
The birds live in the tree and they give Cinderella a dress of gold and shoes of gold. Cinderella goes to the party to meet and dance with the Prince. Later, the Prince finds Cinderella at home doing work for her stepmother. Cinderella marries the Prince and they live happily ever after.
Now you can understand what the word “version” means and how more than one writer can tell a story in a different way. That is why there are many versions of the same story.

A.A famous story from a foreign country.
B.A new story written by different writers.
C.A different way of telling the same story.
28.Who wrote the 1697 version of Cinderella mentioned in the text?
A.Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm.
B.Charles Perrault.
C.Cinderella’s stepmother.
29.In the 1812 version, what helps Cinderella get a gold dress?
A.Mice and a pumpkin carriage.
B.Her stepmother and stepsisters.
C.Her father’s little tree and the birds.
30.What do the two versions have in common?
A.Cinderella marries the Prince and lives happily.
B.Mice turn into carriage men to help Cinderella.
C.Cinderella gets a tree from her father.

Last Sunday, I went to the City Park to volunteer with my classmates. It was sunny that day. We picked up litter carefully and told visitors to protect the environment politely. We also cleaned public benches near the lake. Although I felt a little tired after work, I was really happy and proud. From this experience, I learned helping others brings warmth to people around us. Small actions can make a big difference to our city. I decide to join more volunteer activities.
