Qi Jiguang was a national hero in the middle to last Ming Dynasty. He joined the army at a young age and fought many times in his life. He was a talented general who also wrote books about the art of war. At the same time, he was good at training soldiers. He trained a strong army and led it to fight against enemies who crossed the sea from Japan. His army was honored as the “Army of Qi” in Chinese history.
