根据“into rocks in a storm”可知,船在风暴中失事,撞到了岩石上,固定搭配crash into意为“撞上”。
根据“He didn’t give up”和“he failed many times”可知,前后句是让步转折关系,表示虽然失败多次但仍不放弃,应用though“虽然/尽管”引导让步状语从句,if“如果”、because“因为”、until“直到”逻辑不通。
根据后文“I used to be scared...to be more independent...”
根据“Robinson’s spirit”和作者变得勇敢可知,这是一种精神上的鼓励,固定搭配 encourage sb. to do sth.

I will never forget my trip to a foreign city last summer. I went there with my brother. It is a city full of history, which my brother is interested in.
Usually, the temperature there during the summer is around 35℃. But the heat there last summer was exceptional. It felt like the sun was a big fire hanging right above us.
One afternoon, the news said the temperature reached 48℃. The air was so hot that it was hard to breathe (呼吸). We felt like being inside an oven. My brother took cold showers many times a day just to feel a little better. The government (政府) told everyone, “Stay inside between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Drink water. Wear light clothes.” There was nobody in the streets under the burning sky.
I later learnt why the weather was so different. The city cut down about 70% of its trees to build more roads and buildings. Those missing trees were like missing friends who used to give people cool air. Without them, the city had no protection from the sun’s strong heat.
This trip made me think deeply. We often build roads and buildings without thinking of the trees and the land. The city’s heat is not just its own story; it is a warning to the world. How do we treat nature? Do we see it as a friend to protect, or just space to use? The answer will decide our future.
58.What can we know from Paragraph 1?
A.How the writer got to the city.
B.What the writer did in the city.
C.Why the writer visited the city.
D.Who the writer went to the city with.
59.What does the underlined word “exceptional” in Paragraph 2 mean?
A.Changeable. B.Comfortable. C.Quite weak. D.Very unusual.
60.What was the advice from the government about?
A.Travelling safely. B.Dealing with heat.
C.Protecting the environment. D.Enjoying the city.
61.What caused the problem in the city?
A.Less rainfall. B.Too many tourists.
C.Cutting down trees. D.Stronger heat from the sun.
62.Why did the writer write the passage?
A.To introduce fun places to visit.
B.To describe his unpleasant journey.
C.To remind people to take good care of nature.
D.To advise tourists to avoid hot cities in the summer.

59.根据第二段前两句“Usually, the temperature... is around 35℃. But the heat there last summer was exceptional.”
60.根据第三段中政府给出的建议“Stay inside between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Drink water. Wear light clothes.”
61.根据第四段“The city cut down about 70% of its trees to build more roads and buildings.”
62.根据最后一段作者的反思“The city’s heat... is a warning to the world. How do we treat nature? Do we see it as a friend to protect...”

During the 2021 Shanghai Fashion Week, a young, slim and confident woman with an iron (钢铁) leg drew everyone’s attention. Her name is Niu Yu. She lost her right leg in the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake. She was only 11 years old then.
Niu Yu used to be in the school sports team. She loved running. But the disaster broke her dream. She had to live with an artificial leg (假肢). It wasn’t comfortable, and her leg often bled. People’s curious eyes made her even more uncomfortable. She always tried to hide her leg under jeans or dresses.
With the support of her family and friends, Niu Yu slowly came out of the shadows. In 2018, right before her 21st birthday, she decided to stop hiding her leg. To her surprise, she received lots of encouraging words. She also finished a half marathon in about 4 hours. She completed the hard 10-year journey of finding herself again.
Now Niu Yu shares her story on social media. She listens to disaster survivors (幸存者) and encourages them to look forward. In 2023, she carried the torch at the FISU World University Games. “It is a great honour for me,” she said. “But it is also a good chance to show people the power of being brave.”
A disaster can bring wounds and pain. But we should always face them with courage. As the writer Nora Ephron said: “Above all, be the hero of your life, not the victim (受害者).”
63.What happened to Niu Yu in 2008?
A.She joined the school sports team. B.She lost her leg in the Wenchuan earthquake.
C.She lived with an artificial iron leg. D.She attended 2021 Shanghai Fashion Week.
64.Why did Niu Yu try to hide her leg under jeans or dresses?
A.She was very shy. B.Her artificial leg often hurt and bled.
C.Her right leg looked strange. D.She felt uncomfortable with others’ eyes.
65.What does the underlined word “came out of the shadows” in Paragraph 3 mean?
A.Hated others’ strange look. B.Walked out of dark rooms.
C.Refused help from others. D.Cheered up and faced life bravely.
66.What’s the right order of the following events according to this passage?
① Niu Yu finished a half marathon.
② Niu Yu decided to stop hiding her leg.
③ She showed up at Shanghai Fashion Week.
④ Niu Yu took the torch at the FISU World University Games.
A.②①③④ B.③①②④ C.①②③④ D.③②①④
67.What is the best title for the passage?
A.A Fashion Star B.A Brave Survivor C.A Marathon Lover D.A Famous Blogger
【答案】63.B 64.D 65.D 66.A 67.B
根据第一段中的“She lost her right leg in the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake.”
64.根据第二段中的“People’s curious eyes made her even more uncomfortable. She always tried to hide her leg under jeans or dresses.”
65.根据第三段划线短语后的“she decided to stop hiding her leg…She also finished a half marathon…” 因此“came out of the shadows”意为“振作起来,勇敢面对生活(Cheered up and faced life bravely)”。
66.根据文章内容梳理时间线: ②决定不再隐藏假肢(根据第三段“In 2018, right before her 21st birthday, she decided to stop hiding her leg.”); ①完成半程马拉松(根据第三段“She also finished a half marathon in about 4 hours.”,发生在决定不再隐藏假肢之后); ③出现在上海时装周(根据第一段“During the 2021 Shanghai Fashion Week, a young, slim and confident woman with an iron (钢铁) leg drew everyone’s attention.”); ④在大运会上担任火炬手(根据第四段“In 2023, she carried the torch at the FISU World University Games.”)。

Have you ever felt very worried or sad, or needed someone to talk to? That’s where a psychological counselor (心理辅导师) might help.
Aron Zhang is a 29-year-old psychological counselor in Melbourne, Australia. He believes it’s important for everyone to share their feelings. “Talking with a counselor is just like that. But it’s more personal, relaxed and full of expert care,” he said.
“We listen deeply, not just to words, but to feelings and hidden problems. We may also use tools like drawing to help people show their feelings,” Zhang said. A counselor’s room is a quiet, warm and safe space. With soft lights and comfortable sofas, people can share more easily.
Zhang works a lot with teenagers. “It’s difficult because getting their parents to agree can be a problem.” He once had a young kid whom he believed he could help, but the parents ended the meeting because they didn’t trust him, “It’s sad when things like this happen.”
But the job brings good results too. “One of my clients (客户) was highly suspicious at the beginning,” Zhang said. “Through talking, we built trust and understanding. At last, he could understand me with just a look. Such deep trust makes me very happy.”
In this job, it’s important to care about others’ life stories. But when people have wrong ideas or bad actions, counselors should stay fair and not agree without thinking. “It takes great courage to point out real problems and help clients truly get better and grow,” Zhang said.
68.What can we learn about a counselor’s room?
A.It is quiet and big. B.It needs parents to go together.
C.It has hard seats and bright lights. D.It makes people feel safe and relaxed.
69.Why is it hard for Aron Zhang to help teenagers?
A.The working place is too far. B.Teenagers are too shy to talk.
C.He has no time for young kids. D.Their parents won’t easily agree.
70.What does the underlined word “suspicious” in Paragraph 5 mean?
A.Angry. B.Selfish. C.Doubtful. D.Nervous.
71.What’s Aron Zhang like according to the passage?
A.Quiet and polite. B.Careful and patient.
C.Helpful and humorous. D.Outgoing and honest.
72.What’s the best title of the passage?
A.How to Share Your Feelings. B.The Way to Build Trust with Others.
C.The Job of a Psychological Counselor. D.Why Teenagers Need Psychological Counselors.
根据第三段中“A counselor’s room is a quiet, warm and safe space. With soft lights and comfortable sofas, people can share more easily.”
69.根据第四段中“It’s difficult because getting their parents to agree can be a problem.”
71.通读全文,Aron Zhang深入倾听(listen deeply),建立信任需要过程,面对误解能保持公平且不盲目同意(stay fair and not agree without thinking),这体现了他作为咨询师的细心(Careful)和耐心(patient)。
整篇文章围绕心理辅导师的工作内容展开,因此最佳标题为“The Job of a Psychological Counselor”。
