Do you know the data annotator It is a new job because of the development of AI.
Data annotators are like teachers and they help the computer learn. They check pictures, words, or sounds and tell the computer what they are. For example, they might look at a picture of a cat and give a tag (标签) of “cat”. This helps the computer learn to know when it sees cats in other pictures. There are more complex (复杂的) tags. If a patient asks about an illness, an AI’s answers might not be clear. So, medical data annotators add more detailed (详细的) tags to make the answers better.
The needs for different data annotators are not the same. Simple tasks like pointing out all the flowers in a picture do not need highly-educated (高学历的) people. Anyone can finish them after training. For more complex tasks, however, we need higher-educated data annotators. Take the legal (法律的) field for example. AI can tell us laws in a cold way. However, many legal matters are about people’s ideas and feelings. This job needs data annotators with professional (专业的) knowledge to offer more thoughtful answers.
The role of the data annotator started with the needs of AI, and progress (进步) in AI depends a lot on data annotation. As China’s AI grows fast, the need for data annotators will keep growing.
21.What does a data annotator need to do?
A.To see patients.
B.To teach computers by adding tags.
C.To take pictures of cats.
D.To repair computers.
22.What does the underlined word “them” in Paragraph 3 refer to (指代)?
A.Simple tasks. B.Complex tasks.
C.Data annotators. D.Highly-educated people.
23.Why does the legal field need higher-educated data annotators?
A.They can train AI in a cold way.
B.They can operate computers better.
C.They can give more thoughtful answers.
D.They can explain rules in a creative way.
24.What can we learn from the last paragraph?
A.There will be fewer jobs in China.
B.China’s AI will slow down soon.
C.AI won’t need data annotators in the future.
D.AI and data annotators help each other grow.
25.Which of the following best shows the structure (结构) of the text?
A. B.
C. D.
【答案】21.B 22.A 23.C 24.D 25.D
根据第二段第一句“Data annotators are like teachers and they help the computer learn.”
22.根据第三段“Simple tasks like pointing out all the flowers in a picture…Anyone can finish them after training.”
23.根据第三段最后一句“This job needs data annotators with professional knowledge to offer more thoughtful answers.”
24.根据第四段“The role of the data annotator started with the needs of AI, and progress in AI depends a lot on data annotation…the need for data annotators will keep growing.”

Know yourself well.
It’s true that things well pay are important, but don’t let money lead you in the wrong direction. Generally speaking, people get more satisfaction out of their jobs if they feel they are doing something valuable for others. It doesn’t have to be charity work-it could be a job that helps other people, like a cleaner. Just imagine what our city would be like without cleaners?
Your first decision isn’t forever.
Some lucky people get it right first time-they choose a job, find they love it and stick at it. 34 So remember you’re allowed to change your mind! There’s no need to do let worry you for years: maybe you’ve got three or four possible things you’d like to do, so come to a decision and try one-and if you don’t like it, try another one.

Passage1
In most places of the world, a five-day work week is common. But in some places, people are starting to pay workers the same money for working just four days a week.
The idea isn’t new but businesses have been slow to try it. They may be worried about getting less work for their money. But the result of a last year’s test shows the change may be good for both businesses and workers.
Last June, 51 UK companies agreed to take part in the four-day work week test. In July, another 10 companies joined, too. They paid their workers the same money and told their workers to try to do as much in four days as they usually did in five. It took six months to do the test, and the result was good for most businesses.
During the test, some companies had fewer meetings, or made sure they were shorter. Others used technology to help workers to finish their work quickly. Some companies created a “focus time” so workers could work on just one thing. So, workers worked faster and better. What’s more, the companies made more money.
Most workers were pleased with the four-day work week. Some people said they could get more training and take care of things at home. Others said they could spend more time with their families.
At the end of the test, ninety-two percent of the companies taking part in the test said they planned to keep the four-day work week.
36.What does the result of the last year’s test show?
37.How many companies agreed to do the test?

37.第三段“Last June, 51 UK companies agreed to take part in the four-day work week test. In July, another 10 companies joined, too.”
38.第四段第一句“some companies had fewer meetings, or made sure they were shorter”中,“they”指代前文的“meetings”,因此答案是原文的直接信息。
39.文章第五段“Most workers were pleased with the four-day work week.”

Choosing a job-something you’re thinking of doing for the rest of your working life-isn’t always easy but necessary. Plans for your future job will have a great influence on your whole life. 31
Know yourself well.
It’s true that things well pay are important, but don’t let money lead you in the wrong direction. Firstly, follow your heart and your personality-if you’re not very outgoing, don’t go for a sales job, even if the pay’s good. 32 If you do well in getting along with children, to be a teacher may be a fantastic choice.

Generally speaking, people get more satisfaction out of their jobs if they feel they are doing something valuable for others. It doesn’t have to be charity work-it could be a job that helps other people, like a cleaner. Just imagine what our city would be like without cleaners?

38.What does the word “they” in Paragraph 4 refer to?
39.What did most workers think of the four-day work week?
40.What do you think of the four-day work week? Why?
Passage2
The Chinese cheongsam, or qipao, is a popular dress. It first appeared in Shanghai in the early 20th century. It is now a symbol of Chinese culture. Women around the world wear it.
The cheongsam fits the body’s curves (曲线) well. People usually use silk and cotton to make it. It usually has a high collar (领), short sleeves (袖), and a cut on the side of the skirt. This makes it easy to move.

During the 1920s and 1930s, the cheongsam changed. It became better and used more fashionable designs. Nowadays, designers are creating new styles to follow modern fashion.
Now in China, people often wear the cheongsam at formal (正式的) events like ceremonies, parties and cultural activities. A famous Chinese movie star, Anna Wong, often wears cheongsams in movies and in life. Her style helps make the dress popular in Hollywood and worldwide.
