We know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and we have lunch breaks at school. However, is this the healthiest way to eat? Should we eat three meals a day? Before thinking about how often we should eat, scientists ask us to think about when we should eat. For example, some people may overeat at night, which is not a good time to eat too much food.
Intermittent fasting (间歇性断食) means stopping eating food for many hours. It becomes a popular topic of the research. It allows our stomach to rest. It helps our body to clear broken proteins (分解的蛋白质), and protects us from many diseases.
But if intermittent fasting is a healthy way to eat, how many meals should we eat every day? Some experts think that it is best to have one meal a day. David Levitsky, a teacher at Cornell University, does this himself. Wouldn’t one meal a day make us feel hungry (饥饿的)? Not always, because hunger is often a feeling. Sometimes, we may think we are hungry, but in fact, we aren’t.
Another expert, Manoogan, doesn’t agree with it. He says it can make our blood glucose rise To keep our blood glucose low, we need to eat at set times. “Two or three meals a day is the best. And we should eat most of our food earlier in the day. Then our bodies can use the energy from our food all day, and not save it as fat. ”
Even if intermittent fasting is the healthiest way to eat, it may not be a good idea for everyone. If you want to try it, remember to check with your doctor first.
56.What do scientists ask us to think about in Paragraph 1?
A.The food for lunch. B.The right time to eat.

C.Eating three meals a day. D.Intermittent fasting.
59.What can we know from the text?
A.All of us can try intermittent fasting if we want.
B.Eating most of our food earlier can help lower (减少) our fat.
C.All the experts think having one meal a day is the best way to eat.
D.Intermittent fasting means we should stop eating fruit for many hours.

The smartphone and the computer are two important inventions in our daily life. They help us in many ways, but they may also lead to health problems.
First, looking at the screen of your smartphone or computer for too long can make your eyes dry. It is not good for your eyesight. To help your eyes keep healthy, you can follow the “20-20-20” rule—after 20 minutes’ use of eyes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
Next, other parts of our body could also become worse because of using smartphones. When we write a lot of text messages, we can develop “texting thumbs (拇指)”. It will stop us from holding things well. So we have to exercise our thumbs and fingers from time to time. In addition, smartphones could hurt our brain. One of the biggest problems is that using smartphones can have bad effects on our sleep. ___▲___ So doctors advise people not to use smartphones for at least one hour before sleeping.
Finally, another serious danger is Internet addiction (瘾). Many people go on the Internet to keep themselves from feeling nervous, sad or lonely. Over time, they may start to be addicted to the Internet and feel worried if they’re not online. One way to work out this problem is to control the time they spend on the Internet.
All in all, make sure you follow the above advice to use your smartphone or your computer safely. Also, remember to enjoy your life more than just looking at the screens.
61.What does the first “20” in the “20-20-20” rule in Paragraph 2 mean?
A.How long you use your eyes.
B.How often you take a break.
C.How far you look at things from you.
D.How many things you need to do at the break.
62.How many health problems are mentioned in the passage?
A.Six. B.Three. C.Four. D.Five.
63.To keep off Internet addiction, what does the writer advise us to do?
A.Stay away from bad feelings. B.Control the time of using the Internet.
C.Use the Internet in a safe place. D.Stop using the Internet.
64.Choose the best sentence to fill in the ▲ in Paragraph 4.
A.Smartphones are widely used by people of all ages.
B.The blue light from the screen affects the production of melatonin.
C.Many people like to play games on smartphones before bed.
D.Using smartphones can also make people feel more energetic during the day.
65.What is the structure of the passage?
A.B.C. D.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but many people don’t have it. Common reasons for not eating breakfast include not having enough time, not feeling hungry, and dieting (节食).
Breakfast simply means “break the fast”. 66 Even though you have been sleeping, you have still been burning energy (能量). And in the morning your body needs energy for the day’s work ahead.
A good breakfast should give you up to 1/3 of your total calories (卡路里) that your body needs for the day. 67 If breakfast doesn’t interest you in the morning, try eating a lighter dinner earlier in the evening or save half your dinner for breakfast in the morning.
If you still don’t feel hungry in the morning, start with something small like juice or bread or have a healthy mid-morning snack later when you are hungry.
So, say you’re on a diet. Some people are afraid that eating breakfast will make them hungrier during the day and they will eat more. It is true that eating breakfast is possible to make you feel hungry throughout the day. 68 Although you may feel as if you are eating more all day long, in fact you’re probably not.
Not having breakfast can make you overeat, because a fall in blood sugar makes you feel hungry later. 69 If you feed your body healthy snacks and meals throughout the day, you may not become hungry so easily and eat too much when you have meals.
Since breakfast is the first and most important meal of the day, your choice is important. 70

C.The healthiest way to eat. D.The importance of breakfast.
57.What are the advantages of intermittent fasting?

③Helping us sleep well at night. ④Keeping us safe from some illnesses.

58.What does the underlined word “it” in Paragraph 4 refer to?
A.Too much sugar. B.Broken protein.
C.Eating three meals a day. D.Intermittent fasting.
59.What can we know from the text?
A.All of us can try intermittent fasting if we want.
B.Eating most of our food earlier can help lower (减少) our fat.

D.Intermittent fasting means we should stop eating fruit for many hours.

【详解】根据“She has a sore throat.” What’s wrong with her/What’s the matter with her/What is the trouble with her都可以用来询问“她怎么了”,故填What’s wrong with her/What’s the matter with her/What is the trouble with her。
72.A: Do you think it’s important to have a healthy habit?
B: ________. It helps us stay strong and happy.
Yes, I do.
原句是Do引导的一般疑问句,后文“It helps us stay strong and happy.”
73.A: Why do you always eat junk food?
B: ________. But I know it’s bad for my body.
Because it tastes good
74.A: I can’t sleep well at night. Can you give me some advice?
B: ________. And don’t use your phone before bed.
You should drink a glass of warm milk before bed
You should drink a glass of warm milk before bed。
75.A: ________?
B: I exercise three times a week to keep healthy.
How often do you exercise?
疑问词How often用于询问频率,后跟助动词do和主语you,再跟动词原形exercise。

Talor’s mum thinks that Talor is a fighter. “She 83 (have) eight surgeries (手术) at the age of six. Her 84 (eight) surgery helped her to succeed in holding small things. During a visit to a university (大学), Ms. Logsdon noticed a special prosthetic device (假肢装置) and 86 (sudden) had an idea. She asked the students in the university for 87 (they) help. Soon the students begin working on the special device. They hope to finish Talor’s device quickly so that she can live an 89 (easy) life than before.
Thanks to her family, her teacher, and the kind students at the university by her side, Talor looks forward 90 each day with a hopeful heart. She knows that being different can be the key to finding her true strength.
81.hands 82.and 83.had 84.eighth 85.a 86.suddenly 87.their 88.to help 89.easier 90.to
故填and。
根据“at the age of six”可知,时态为一般过去时,谓语动词用过去式had。故填had。
根据“Her...surgery helped her to succeed in holding small things.”
根据“lent her...hand”可知,此处指伸出援助之手,lend sb a hand“伸出援手”,固定短语。故填a。
